This fandom also struggles with humor posts. I was literally mocking the Kylie rumors in someone else's blog recently and they mistook me for an anti. Do we need to add "note the sarcasm" in every humor anon post so we don't get called out for being antis?

This is why I tend to steer clear of making jokes about certain circumstances related to this fandom because it’s all too easily misconstrued by others and/or taken out of context as ammunition against us.

There are some in our fandom who take their Charmie devotion extremely seriously and do not leave any room for humor or sarcasm of any kind from anyone, not even from friendly fellow fans, and who are exceedingly protective of Charmie to the point that they are spring-loaded to attack anything that they perceive as a threat to them or to Charmie itself.

I think that’s why some people might wRItE ComMeNts LiKe tHiS so that others will understand that they’re not actually serious.

A disclaimer to accompany it tends to diminish the humor from any joke, but perhaps that’s the answer, in this case, for greater clarity of our intentions.

Humor is how we know we’ve turned the corner on our troubles, when we can laugh about our unpleasant circumstances and perhaps even at ourselves for our part in their creation, as the case may be. It’s how we know we’ve arrived at a place where we’re able to turn the focus away from the obstacles, and towards finding a way around them, imho.

And who doesn’t love a good laugh?
