A lil question: What do you all think about Ko-fi for writers? The writer being obviously me, lmfao.

I've seen quite a huge, huge increase in the amount of asks I get per day, usually with prompts and concepts that, even if they're not for fanfiction technically and anons aren't asking for them, it's quite obvious that they're asking me to give my opinion or to write something based on that. Because you all know I always end up writing fanfics about asks or just a long, long analysis that could end up being a fic. Anyway- The thing is, I gladly do it for free because I absolutely love it and those are not commissions or people actively asking me for fanfics. But I was thinking that if there are so many people interested in my views and writing (apparently you all like my writing and want more, which is, wow, fucking awesome to me) maybe you'd be interested in me opening a Ko-fi?

It would work kind of like this (please, if somebody has more ideas, tell me. I have no idea how these things work and it'd be great if you could help):

Ko-fi for donations and commissions. Simple as that. Because I want to write my own original book and I also keep writing fics. It's a good way for some of you to donate if you ever feel like supporting me and my work. Because, I mean, let's be honest, I need the money. It's not directly paying for a service, just donating to motivate me to keep writing! And then I'd just take commissions of whatever fandom I'm in (or damn, maybe you want me to write something original with a concept of yours!). The commissions would be posted anyway in my AO3 account however, they'd be that, commissions for the people who specifically want me to write something they want. I don't have in mind yet how the prices would go, but you would not pay for a genre of fic, but for the amount of words. Like, you pay an amount of money for 5k-10k words and more money if you want something in between 10k-20k (with obviously a range. Dw, I'll think about it) etc, etc, etc.

I do see your comments and occasional reblogs of my works, and I can't tell you enough how much it makes my day to hear some of my readers thoughts about it! As you said in your last lil paragraph but a lot of us writers do really enjoy getting feedback in terms of just commenting or just keyboard smashes on our works! HSR has been the fandom whose given me most engagement on any work and tbh it's been doing wonders on my overall approach and motivatoin to write for it! (I've previously stated in a lot of other sideblogs that I usually just post and dip, but HSR fandom has really made me connect more to my readers and just post random snippets and thoughts without second guessing so that's also a huge plus-)

even though i only write jing yuan content lmfao- i'm super thankful that you enjoy my works so much, and thank you for taking the extra time to send me an ask even if it did seem intimidating - i appreciate it a lot! (sometimes words can't express enough, but i have been reading this a few times throughout my work days to have a bit of a motivation boost hehe)

Anyway no yeah, Rose, like I be telling everyone if you're not going to live on campus you have to get your license because I mean it when I say you almost can't do shit without it esp cuz clubs meet after classes end. Like, I couldn't actually drive to uni until I was in my junior year and even then since I was new I feared for my life that first year!

Honestly a slight TMI but I remember at the time when my parents told me that I was in middle school. My best friend at the time just came out as bisexual and our parents were close, so her parents would tell mine that they were hoping it was just a phase (it wasn't) and also at that time I think anti-lgbtqia+ tensions were so high where we lived so when my mom told me that, of course, at the time I felt so betrayed by her because she had various family members in the community. But looking back at it in hindsight, I get it. If I was her, I don't know how I'd protect my young child, who was barely entering her teens, from a society that already hated who she was because she was a racial minority.

When I finally came out to my mom like a few months ago she straight up told me she wasn't surprised because of my fashion choices LMFAO Converse, Skinny Jeans, and Flannels (so many of them)

NO BECAUSE LIKE one of the things I was going for was to accentuate OC's relationship with Somi by making her relationship with her parents so tense. Everyone talks about car ride convos, but the tension between OC and her dad in that scene was my attempt at some narrative to kinda sorta ostracize her from her parents. And true to life, I can't tell my dad anything LMFAO

last night i was thinking how the NHS treated me whenever i was dim enough to ask for help for my madness + just getting like more and more angry remembering it lmfao

i actually think that severing myself from like the idea of "help" and "psychiatry" and "CBT" and "mental health" has been more beneficial to my QOL than literally anything the NHS ever did for me, so im at peace w/ it on the whole, however there were some real highlights:

me sitting sobbing my eyes out in a small room w/ two strangers begging them to Please Help, and receiving a letter a few weeks later saying i wasn't ill enough for any help + i was on my own

being diagnosed w/ BPD (a big regret i have - once i cann afford to spend £250 on a psych visit im going to try and get that scrubbed off my record bc at the time of diagnosis like ~8 years ago i was naive enough to think that a diagnosis that wasn't depression or anxiety would force the NHS into giving me "help". however, obviously, as you all know, a BPD diagnosis is the 2020s equivalent of Female Hysteria

i was offered a round of CBT (classic) but there was an 18m waiting list and in that 18m i was diagnosed w/ the BPD. so i had a conversation w/ them in which they were like "we can only do the anxiety/depression, if you talk about anything BPD-ish we'll terminate you"

went to the minor injuries unit after a particularly bad self-harm session + was not asked any questions about how i was doing mentally, they didnt check i was safe, they didnt ask me if i was gonna be ok at home lol, they just cleaned me / bandaged me / sent me home again (tbh idk what id rather they did tbh like. i dont want to be sectioned - i was just kind of astonished by the lack of pretence at caring how i was doing)

in the last-ditch effort i made to get some "help" i told my (beloved! none of this is his fault) GP that if he had anything going i'd be willing to give it a shot. he told me there was this local unit opening up for "personality disorders" and that given i was motivated + all that shit i would be a perfect fit for it. (at this time i was already leery of the BPD label but i was still thinking like: maybe it will actually open THIS door to "treatment") i said to him: i know for a fact they will not accept me. you're welcome to try, but i am 100% sure that they will find a reason to reject me as a patient. and he was like no no no! haha why wouldn't they :) i'll send them a personal email about you! and they'll take you on my reccommendation! and i was like lol ok roy. anyway yeah of course they didnt accept me - as i told him they wouldnt - and he was so shocked and upset during that conversation where he told me this - and i was just like totally unemotional like "i told you this would happen" and he was like just so shocked about it all (honestly idk why, as a doctor, he must see the carnage, but whatever) and just like "my god - you were right" (yeah no shit roy) and yeah that was just the moment i was like alright im never doing any of this shit again, never ever.

to be honest my suggestion to anyone in a similar situation is to read up on antipsychiatry lmfao (shout out to bananapeppers for forcing it into my eyeballs via tumblr) bc it really changed my mindset for the better. that's probably quite a bleak sentiment to end a post about psychiatry on but uh. i dont know what to say otherwise. i don't believe in "mental healthcare" anymore like i rly dont. im doing 100x better now that i refuse to talk to doctors about my madness. there is no moral to this post

Ryen maybe you (or maybe the comments as well?) can give me some advice? You seem like such a hard working/ diligent person with all of the things that you do so I’d thought I would ask you :) How are you able to do as much as you do with work and hobbies etc. I struggle to follow a routine and that makes time management a literal disaster. I kind of drift day by day and this has made me very depressed and someone who hasn’t accomplished anything. I am 22 but have no idea what I will do with my future and no career sounds appealing. I feel like I am too dumb to get another job so I’ve been stuck at the same dead end one for almost 6 years. I only go to work 2-3 days a week and the other days are filled with distractions. And the days I am off I stay in my room and don’t talk to any friends or family cause I don’t really have that many and it seems exhausting to go out. So I’m not very productive and I’m not proud of myself much either. How are you able to accomplish so much and have a lot of energy to do as much as you do? You probably get burnt out but how do you manage to actually get up and do it. Also sorry if this is a lot!

Hey, love🫂 as diligent as I may seem, there are definitely times where I find myself on the couch wondering where the time went🤣 it’s not always go go go for me, either! My body just tells my brain to chill for a gd second and then it listens (kinda.)

When you’re drifting, it’s normal to feel out of place or like you aren’t doing anything. Like you’re kinda just there and not gonna achieve anything fulfilling.

But some of the general advice that I learned to break those moments are these:

Motivation can only take you so far; discipline is what you need when you have nothing left. Yeah you can feel motivated and ride that wave, but what are you gonna do when it’s gone and you still need to do things? Well. Sometimes you just gotta push through. Do that workout you didn’t wanna do. Watch that YouTube tutorial you meant to watch but put off for later. Study for 2 full, meaningful minutes if you don’t think you can. Before you know it, you’re gonna look back at all these things and be glad you at least tried a little bit.

Just because you aren’t accomplishing anything big doesn’t mean you aren’t achieving anything. Need to wash up? Take a shower—done. Achievement! Wanna send a message to someone asking for advice? Done. You did it! The smallest things can amount to the biggest impacts.

This is gonna sound corny as fck, but believe in yourself. You are what you have at the end of the day. I highly encourage less talk about what’s stacked against you and what you don’t have, and more talk about how you’re gonna overcome that and what you can do or get better at. Fake confidence until you really feel it.

Do I mess up? Yeah. Do I doubt myself? All the fcking time lmfao. But guess what: I get over those thoughts and still tell myself that I can do it in the end. Whenever I made my checklist of shit to do for my online shop? “Believe in yourself” is one of the checkboxes. And it’s not being checked off until I really feel it—but I’m gonna get there. I have to, because if I don’t believe in myself then how the fck am I gonna keep going when I hit walls?

You’re at a beautiful age. Lots of time to figure shit out. Tbh 22 is when I had these same damn thoughts, too, and I did waste a lot of it by giving in to them and just thinking I wouldn’t amount to much. But one day, I decided that I didn’t like what direction my life was going. (Discipline got me through a lot of it tbh, so I would say swallow some hard truths and do your best to try and keep trying until you find something you like and that you know you can get good at.)

You can do it. Cherish life as it comes🤍

If it came up that you were sick, Pimon wouldn't have enough time to visit you. But he would send someone to take care of you in his place. Someone he can trust, and someone that knows what they're doing.

But in general, to have you by his side in general is stress belief on its own. It gives him a sort of comfort he needs, especially when you always stick around.

It never seems like he fully appreciates you until he speaks to you in private about it. His small words, as well as his own look of the slightest of appreciation is all you need to know that he appreciates you in his own way.

God, no one would dare to approach you if you were knocked out and wasted for bad motives. The instant they do, they get the biggest glare from Björn and his men.

You are a very crucial part for him. He doesn't know how you got in his group, but you did, and now he's attached to you-

Your caring and cheerful attitude made him... oddly happy. Something he began to crave and enjoy. Especially when he realized how much he missed you based on how you were absent for one day.

He knew you wouldn't mind anything at all. And in fact, you'd support him, no matter what he asked or did. In your eyes, he can do no wrong, and he hides behind you sometimes for it to escape Morton after pranking the man.

Sometimes however, Hummer fucks around and finds out, leading to him basically crawling back to you with a few lumps next to his horns. Nothing explains just how much he loves his head on your lap.

He's gonna do it again just to do that lmfao. He'd sacrifice himself just to it.

• He has silent appreciation for you. He has you around him 24/7, and always has his eye on you.

• He has a sword on his hip and he is not afraid to use it whenever people may approach you. Alaric doesn't threaten. He warns people with a simple look from behind you as he grips at the hilt of his blade.

• Usually thatms enough to make people fuck off. But if it's not, he'll be killing someone later. But anyways... with you, you're always clinging to him and cheering him on. Clinging all the time can get annoying sometimes, and he makes it clear whenever he gives you that slight glare.

• But the instant you stop giving him that attention for a small while, it's then that he senses something is wrong. And by that point, he'll stand it. And he will glare at anyone the moment they even think of snickering at the sight.

• He has a full on problem with you clinging onto others. Even if it's just how you are, he has a real big problem with it.

• This man is literally just like PoSEidOn. He will glare at you and the person until you stop-

• You cheering him on, whether it be in general or not doesn't change much for him other than the slight amusement. But, he may give you that slight nod of acknowledgement or that faint smirk. To have the cheering get louder slightly feels as if it's what he lives for.

• His gratitude is something he'd show in private whenever you two are in bed together. It's usually while you're asleep, but he'll keep you held close and give you a soft kiss to your forehead. If not asleep, you'd always cling closer to him, always making him faintly sigh.

• Yet, not from annoyance. But from the innermost content emotion he has.

ℳℴ𝓇𝓉ℴ𝓃：

• He's usually busy. But you give him the motivation he needs for certain things. Massaging his shoulders, serving him whatever he needs on a silver platter... Whether it be serving him things in general, it's something he appreciates. Especially from you.

• You know, he doesn't mind you sitting on his lap. You may need to get off before his legs start getting numb lmao.

• But he doesn't mind it at all. After all, it's the least he can do to repay you for helping him. Keeping him in comfort as well as lowering his stress levels... He couldn't ask for anything better.

• Making him take breaks and making sure he's ready for his next work session is something he thought of as slightly annoying. But he knew it was something he needed. Additionally to how worried you were over him because of it. He understood why. But he doesn't fully need it. But, just for you, perhaps? • It isn't exactly in his blood to be affectionate. Nor is it in his schedule to have much time for you. So he wants to make it up to you in form of gifts or the rare moments of where he could finally amend for his loss of time.

• Even if you don't really care, Morton always has you in the back of his mind, wondering and slightly worrying of how you are. But the instant you come in to have him take a break, he could feel the small gear in his head start to turn for his slight relief.

• It's ooc for him, especially when he regularly seems as if he puts work over you in general. But for this fluff, absolutely the hell not in some ways lmfao-
