First impression: “Boring male monarch whose Divan and war scenes I have to watch” probably.

Impression now: I really learned to appreciate him in Season 4. I do feel for him and he is a well-written character. I do like his scenes.

Favorite moment: “Both the witch and the bewitched are content” from Episode 44.

Idea for a story: I would like to know what he thought about the Leo thing but @magnificentcenturyfics thankfully already wrote that. I think I would like to read a well-written, canon-compliant and thorough fic about his relationship with Ibrahim written in English too. Something that is half-analysis half-story. Because what was their deal?

Unpopular opinion: So far (Episode 119) I don’t think that he is the Big Bad who ruined everyone’s lives. I do acknowledge that I haven’t yet seen his worst and that my opinion can change.

And also he easily could have executed Mustafa in Episode 115 and I wouldn’t judge him for it. It is better that he didn’t, but I definitely wouldn’t blame him if he did.

I also think that he does love Hürrem. He does hurt her through his actions occasionally, and I am not saying that they are a “healthy” couple, but they do love each other.

Favorite relationship: @desmoonl made me a lowkey Surrem shipper.

Favorite headcanon: I don’t know. I can’t think of anything. Do tell me if you have a headcanon you particularly like.

do I like them: Totally! Ruby is a very fun character who's able to switch from loveable dork to deadly badass on a flip. Her arc of aiming to become a hero like her mother and slowly discovering that being a hero doesn't mean you have to be perfect is fantastic. And I like how no matter how things get dark, she keeps persevering.

5 good qualities: Her optimism, being a dork, how much of a badass she is, how determined she is and how she inspires other's.

3 bad qualities: Placing too much of a burden on herself, trying to live up to other expectations, holding her mom on a pedestal.

First impression Oh man, May was so relatable from a teenage perspective. I think if 911 had been around when I was her age I would have liked her even more than I do.

Impression now She's grown so much and I love that she took the time to figure herself out before going to college! I think she's grown into a really strong woman and it's so wonderful to see.

Favorite moment MAY DAY! Her yelling at Claudette for being scared and justing giving up because she knew it would inspire her? All time moment.

Idea for a story OOOOH I want an Eddie and May focused story. I loved their friendship when he was at dispatch and I'd like to see how their friendship is now that they've both moved on from dispatch.

Unpopular opinion I don't know if I have one about May?

Favorite relationship I love her relationship with Bobby. I think they're dynamic is so lovely they're so good for each other.

I’m going to exclude Ladybug, Multimouse and Lady Noir.

Pig - Pigette or Charlotte. After Rose, I think she would be the perfect fit for the pig. Marinette is already strong-willed and always tries to stay positive when it really comes down to it. I also think she will look really pretty in pink 💕She also has some cute ponytails already ^^

Rooster - Lady Sunrise or Lady Courage. I already think that the rooster is already OP, so why not give it to the “OP heroine” and protagonist? I also think that she would like the power of the rooster since it's very convenient.

Bee - Golden Bee. I like the idea of her having the bee miraculous. I think she's stargetic enough to have it and I like her in yellow and gold. We also seen her with the ladybug + bee unification.

Dragon - Dragonfly. Seems obvious enough lol

Fox - Foxenette, Foxette, Furnette. I mostly pick this one because of personal taste lol I remember in the old days of the fandom, I saw many AUs with Marinette holding the fox miraculous if Alya became Ladybug instead. Not only she looks cute with it, but I think Marinette is strategic/responsible enough.

Hürrem

First impression: That she is a fun character probably? I don’t remember what 11-year-old me thought.

Impression now: Iconic character. Never did anything wrong ever. Always fun to watch.

Favorite moment: The last scene of Season 2 where she becomes appointed as the ruler of the Harem. Some might find it extremely cheesy (hello @fabrizio-art ) but what can I say? It always gets me hyped up.

Idea for a story: Maybe something where she tells her children (especially Mihrimah) about her little sister who was killed by the Tatars.

Unpopular opinion: She didn’t cause the downfall of Ottoman Empire lol.

And also everything she did was understandable. Not ethically justifiable no, but all of them were understandable. The only things that make me scratch my head are random attempts on Mustafa’s life that can easily be traced back to her but those are plot holes, not a failure of characterization. And also her getting Valide’s room in a hurry in the first episodes of Season 3, that was dumb writing.

Overall after the first 15 episodes where she is bratty and overly hysterical (understandable, she is a traumatized teenager), Hürrem is generally right about everything. Again, not ethically so. She does murder plenty of innocent people. But emotionally she tends to be in the right I think. Her motives almost always make sense and I generally agree with her views on things.

Favorite relationship: I don’t know? I am tempted to say her Season 1 dynamic with Nigar.

Favorite headcanon: More an interpretation. As per our discussion yesterday, she didn’t fall in love with Süleyman at first sight. She just wanted a goal to find the will to live. She fell in love with him after their first night.

Lotor for the character ask

Hi Anon! Thank you for the Ask!

I'll go with VLD Lotor, though I could do this for all of his iterations.

1. First impression:

Relieved and amused.

I never much liked DotU Lotor for a variety of complex reasons, though I found him amusing in the made-for-US season of DotU that had Merla in it. Voltron 3rd Dimension and Voltron Force doubled-down on the worst ideas for the character, so I was hoping that he'd never show up in VLD. The cliff-hanger in S2 had me anxious because I really didn't want to see another round of stalker space barbarian.

VLD S3 had a great introduction for him, honestly the best intro for all iterations of his character, including the comics. It was easy to see that he wouldn't be another gross stalker space barbarian and that was a relief.

2. Impression now:

The chase flight when Zarkon is hunting him down.

He's a sweetheart. A little awkward and not sure how to deal with his emotions. He had a hard life which I can relate to just in different ways. He definitely deserves to have a happy life with Tohru.

Favorite moment:

Okay, so this is a really hard one cause there are SO many moments but if I had to choose it would be the moment the curse breaks as they embrace near the end.

Idea for a story:

So many ideas again cause I'm obsessed with this show. I would love to write a after story kind of thing like how the zodiac members specifically Kyo trying to adjust to life as a normal person without the fear and emotional whiplash the being cursed brought them. Or a story of his and Tohru's adventures after they leave for his training.

Unpopular opinion:

Honestly, I think they should have explored the parental abuse Kyo went through. They kinda glossed over the mother's death and the Father's harsh treatment of them both. I know they have to cover more of the story but I just think exploring each characters binds with their families would have been interesting especially cause Kyo went through so much.

Favorite relationship:

Is this a trick question? Lol. The only person that loves him for the right reasons. Obviously it's gonna be Tohru.

Favorite headcanon:

He secretly considers Yuki one of the most inspiring people in his life even after the curse breaks and they move on. They still admire each other even while continuing to argue and fight. They just will never admit it.

9- A missing scene that definitely happened

Nobunaga: Nobunaga prided himself with just how well his pet hawk Haguro was at hunting. He was another symbol of his power and strength, and had a tender side that only he and MC knew about, like the fact he loved his head feathers scratched.

One day, out on a hunt, Nobunaga and Haguro’s goal was to hunt some rabbits, and were there a lot more of them than usual today, they practically were everywhere.

‘How bizarre’, Thought Nobunaga, though he paid it no mind as he went to look around for one meaty rabbit in particular to hunt down using Haguro.

However, he faltered when he spotted something that clearly wasn’t a rabbit.

No, it was someone… and this someone had such fury in his eyes, that it even took Nobunaga aback. He never seen such a look like it before, especially not from this person.

“Nobunaga, if you dare use that bird to hunt any of the rabbits here, I will strike you where you stand,” Kenshin hissed, his sword already in hand, as Nobunaga merely cackled in response.

“Seems you have gotten weak since the last time we seen each other, Kenshin. I will hunt a rabbit, and you will not stop me,” He smirked, as Haguro let out a screech as if in agreement of his master’s words.

All the rabbits quickly hopped over behind Kenshin, as if seeking cover, with Kenshin standing defensively in front of them. ”I will. I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to fight you, and it has presented itself. I will not let this go to waste, especially with your threat against my army.”

Luckily, for the rabbits, MC was there and quickly quelled this conflict before it became violent. Nobunaga left with her, but not without asking something of his dear princess in return.

“In exchange to sparing his rabbits, you shall spare me your share of the sugar candies.”
