UNCOVERING YOUR STRENGTHS
Tarot: 10 of Wands, 4 of Pentacles
Oracle: The Gambler, Raccoon, Trickery
You're a diligent individual, and your core strength lies in your sense of responsibility and unwavering determination. You shoulder your burdens with grace, and it might sometimes give the impression that everything comes easy to you or that your endurance is hereditary. However, your most valuable asset is your brilliant mind, which houses a complex ecosystem of thoughts and ideas. It can be a heavy load to carry at times, but it bears a lot of fruit. Your ability to see tasks through to completion is commendable, and giving up is not in your nature. Your biggest virtues are your reliability and stability. Once you've set a goal, it's nearly impossible to divert you. Anything you consider worthwhile receives your full commitment, and you protect it with unwavering devotion. Taking risks is second nature to you. When you deem something worthwhile, you dive in headfirst. Even in the face of setbacks or failures, you persevere. You don't view these challenges as the end of your journey but rather as valuable lessons that bring you one step closer to your goals. Failure, in your eyes, is an invaluable teacher who reveals what doesn't work, making you even more resilient. Jealousy or envy don't deter you; instead, they inspire you as you can see behind their masks. Rather than fixating on your own limitations, you focus on the potential and the evidence that achieving your goals is possible. If someone else has accomplished it, you believe it's within your reach too. Rather than being paralyzed by greed or jealousy, you let them inspire you to do better. Problem-solving is another of your strengths. Your ingenuity allows you to navigate any obstacle in your path. Nothing is impenetrable to you as you operate with a clear vision and unwavering determination, unimpressed by potential distractions or the opinions of others. Your way of thinking is creative and innovative. You also possess the ability to adapt and pivot when necessary, using your grit to work smarter rather than harder. Your vulnerable and open heart, combined with your self-honesty, are loyal companions on your journey. You consistently maintain authenticity with yourself and those around you, and you possess a discerning eye that can spot deceit from a mile away.

The capitalists don't want you to know this but you don't have to pick just one version of yourself. You can be as many yous as you want--over time, all at once, on a rotation, it's all up to you. Own your chaos!
I'm not talking about plurality, but if you do have headmates they can also be as many versions of themselves as they want. In my house we provide affirmation for the whole system

It’s absolutely terrifying to let someone in and let them see the darkest corners of your soul, the reasons why you cry, and why they make you so happy. It’s absolutely terrifying because they might run away with your secrets and never give them back.

I am a human being, meant to be in perpetual becoming. If I am living bravely, my entire life will become a million deaths and rebirths. My goal is not to remain the same but to live in such a way that each day, year, moment, relationship, conversation, and crisis is the material I use to become a truer, more beautiful version of myself. The goal is to surrender, constantly, who I just was in order to become who this next moment calls me to be. I will not hold on to a single existing idea, opinion, identity, story, or relationship that keeps me from emerging new. I cannot hold too tightly to any riverbank. I must let go of the shore in order to travel deeper and see farther. Again and again and then again. Until the final death and rebirth. Right up until then.

So Frozen 2. The first movie is about self-acceptance. This movie is about self-discovery. Elsa feels that while everything is going good for her at the moment in her Kingdom of Arendelle that she’s not where she belongs - not who or where she’s meant to be. Elsa accidentally awakens the four spirits (Air, Fire, Water and Earth) of the enchanted forest when she hears a voice calling to her and she listens to it. Anyway, they get called out to the enchanted forest by Gale (spirit of Air) to put things right in the past between their Kingdom and the indigenous tribe of Northuldra and Elsa learns her true nature. We eventually find out that she’s hearing the voice because she is the fifth spirit and the voice that’s calling her is her from the future.
The truth was calling out to her because longtime lies from their past needed to be uncovered. Longtime lies that have segregated an entire community of people that were meant to be together. They were meant for their lives to be intertwined as Anna and Elsa’s mother was Northuldran and their father was Arendellian.
So it’s all about finding the right “path” or “way” which is always a compelling story to tell in fiction. And of course, it’s not just Elsa that discovers who she truly is and what she’s meant to be doing with her life. Anna becomes Queen of Arendelle and marries Kristoff while Elsa remains in the enchanted forest with the other spirits as the bridge between the magic of nature and humanity as well as a protector of it.
And it’s just as emotionally powerful as the first movie if not more for the reason that - once again - these are dark concepts to be exploring in a children’s franchise but ultimately they relate to and resonate with many diverse audiences who struggle with understanding who they are and their purpose in life just like them.
I always say that it’s worth it to go a little bit darker as long as you know how to use nuance and metaphor to tell a story in a number of different ways so that it can be accessible and beneficial for all ages and genders.

hi! i saw your post about asking your allo friends questions about attraction that break their brains, and i was wondering if you had any examples of said questions? i've been questioning if i might be on the ace and/or aro spectrum so i thought i could see if that could be helpful to work out lololol
heeeeey!
you bet! i questioned being ace for a really, really long time but that one was easier for me to sort out. aro has been a LOT tougher.
I'm happy to share some of the questions I've asked. Sometimes people have answers for me and sometimes not so much. I hope they help!
how would you explain attraction to somebody? romantic and/or sexual?
can attraction happen just on looks alone? like you see this person for the first time and wanna sex them?
how would you separate how you feel romantic attraction/love from platonic?
how would you describe the difference between infatuation and love?
okay! those are the first ones i was able to find. most people really, really struggle to answer these questions but they've given way to incredibly interesting conversations, with folks all over and off of both spectrums.
maybe other folks can chime in too 😊
I wish you luck and feel free to come visit the ask box any time. I'm hardly an authority but i AM a chronic overthinker and am always happy to share those thoughts!

The Journey
One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice–
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
“Mend my life!”
each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do–
determined to save
the only life you could save

I am allowed to write what I want.
I am allowed to have a hard time and find clarity in writing about it.
I am allowed to share my joys in writing about them.
I am allowed to find release in my messy, unorganized writing.
I am allowed to find healing in getting it wrong through writing.
I am allowed to sort through my thoughts and emotions by writing them.
I am allowed to get it wrong.
I am allowed to get it right.
I am allowed to get it somewhere in between.
I’m allowed to discover who I am by writing my stories.

It may frustrate you that your path looks different from everyone else's. It may worry you that you haven't had the same success that they have had. It may annoy you that things always seem to be more complicated for you than for others.
Keep in mind, however, that there is nothing wrong with you. You aren't behind. You don't lack a certain skill or trait. You're just being equipped for something greater.

"Oz Reimagined: A Kaleidoscopic Journey through Baum's Enchanting Wonderland"
Tumblr media
In "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," L. Frank Baum invites readers into an enchanting realm where the ordinary and extraordinary collide in a tapestry of vivid imagination. Published in 1900, this timeless classic transcends generations, weaving together a narrative that resonates with both childlike wonder and profound allegory. At its core, the story follows Dorothy, a young girl swept away from her mundane Kansas life to the magical land of Oz by a cyclone. Accompanied by a motley crew—a Scarecrow in search of a brain, a Tin Woodman yearning for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion seeking courage—Dorothy embarks on a quest to reach the Emerald City and beseech the Wizard for a way home.
One of the book's remarkable qualities is its duality—it functions both as a whimsical fairy tale for children and a subtle commentary on turn-of-the-century America. Baum masterfully uses the fantastical elements of Oz to mirror the societal issues of his time. The Yellow Brick Road becomes a metaphorical path of self-discovery and enlightenment, echoing the pursuit of the American Dream during the Gilded Age. The characters' quest for attributes like brains, heart, and courage symbolizes the intrinsic human desire for personal growth and fulfillment.
Baum's world-building is nothing short of extraordinary. The land of Oz is a kaleidoscope of vibrant landscapes, each more fantastical than the last. From the Munchkin Country to the Winkie Country, Baum's creativity knows no bounds. His vivid descriptions and whimsical details breathe life into Oz's eccentric inhabitants, from the good witches Glinda and the Witch of the North to the ominous Wicked Witch of the West. The juxtaposition of the familiar and the fantastical captivates readers, creating a narrative that is simultaneously comforting and thrilling.
At its heart, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" is a celebration of friendship, resilience, and the extraordinary potential within each individual. Dorothy's journey is not just a physical one but a profound exploration of self-discovery. The Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion, despite their perceived shortcomings, showcase the transformative power of belief in oneself. It's a timeless message that continues to resonate, reminding readers of all ages that the strength to overcome challenges often lies within.
In conclusion, Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" stands as a testament to the enduring power of imagination and its ability to transcend the boundaries of time and age. With its whimsical charm, rich symbolism, and profound messages, this classic continues to beckon readers into the enchanting realm of Oz, where dreams take flight, and the magic of storytelling weaves its eternal spell.
"The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," L. Frank Baum is available in Amazon in paperback 10.99$ and hardcover 18.99$ editions.

If you keep living with confidence, the rest of your life will unfold exactly as it is meant to. It won’t always be comfortable. Some will recognize your brave; others won’t. Some will understand and like you; others won’t. But the way others respond to your confidence is not your business. Your business is to stay loyal to you. That way, you will always know that those who do like and love you are really your people. You’ll never be forced to hide or act in order to keep people if you don’t hide or act to get them. To be brave is to forsake all others to be true to yourself. That is the vow of a confident girl.

I have to share this fic rec for Pride Month because it's absolutely incredible. A 1950s au with greaserer wwx and golden boy lwj who fall in love and get their happy ending despite what the times say they can do. It deals with period typical homophobia including internalized feelings but promises us a happy ending and hopeful start. The author also did a really great job making the world feel alive and included a playlist of songs and poetry that fit the mood and time period. It's chock full of beautiful wangxian moments as they find each other and themselves. I really think it's a must read for this month! @gentil-minou
