Smart side of my brain: "your not a bad person you just made a mistake"
Idiot side of my brain: "but you made someone feel something negative, how could you do such a thing?"
Smart side: "okay but this is one person out of the many that you manage to give a smile too every single day"
To the people who have low self esteem or a guilt complex.. write something about yourself when you are feeling off and then write against it when you are feeling better or a little bit better. I started trying this and it is helping me quite a bit.

Felt sad yesterday and decided to be constructive about it by making the most horrendous self love powerpoint I could possibly think of... we're talking comic sans, word art, rainbow letters, tHiS kInD oF tExT, horrific slide transitions that are excruciatingly slow and finally terrible terrible memes. It's the best idea I've ever had in my life.

Things you NEED to pack if you're going for a multiple day vacation/field trip
As promised here's the post, hope y'all like this one!
A blow drier. Even if your hair is short and don't think you need it for the obvious reason, think about getting your shirt wet in the hotel room and needing to dry it immediately
Extra pairs of socks or underwear, emphasis on underwear. It's better to have more than have less.
Despite the weather, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, umbrella and a coat are a must. You never know what might suddenly change.
A pen/pencil and something to write on. You never know!!!
A pair of scissors and or tape! You don't realize how useful these can be
Power strip or these smaller ones. Especially if you're going with friends!
Speaker. Trust me.
I hope these helped you out, and if you're going on a field trip, remind you the extra things you might need. I hope you have a wonderful day/night!!

Daily Chore Hacks for Mentally Ill Girlies
Breaking down essential daily tasks into smaller, more manageable steps can be particularly helpful for those of you who are overwhelmed or struggling with mental health issues like depression:
1. Personal Hygiene
Showering: Instead of a full shower, use baby wipes for a quick cleanse or just wash the face and underarms with a washcloth. At the very minimum, try to clean your PTA: pits, tits, and ass. (If you have a large chest ykwim.)
Teeth Brushing: Start with mouthwash or chewing sugar-free gum if brushing feels too demanding. Rub your teeth with a damp washcloth. Gradually work up to brushing when you feel capable.
Hair Care: Use dry shampoo instead of washing hair, or simply combing hair can be a start. Throw it up into a bun if you have long hair so it doesn’t bother you. Avoid hats as they’ll make your hair get dirtier faster. Alternatively, shave your head or cut it very short! Less work.
2. Eating
Cooking Meals: Start with simple tasks like making a sandwich or a smoothie, or even eating pre-packaged snacks. Buy nutrition shakes like pediasure or soylent and take your vitamins. Drinking your meals is so much easier when you’re depressed and tired. At the very least, try to get enough protein.
Grocery Shopping: Create a small list of essential items, or order groceries online for delivery to avoid the stress of going out.
3. Cleaning
Tidying Up: Focus on one small area at a time, like clearing a desk or making the bed.
Dishes: Wash a few dishes at a time instead of the entire load. Alternatively, use disposable plates and cutlery to reduce the load.
4. Exercise
Physical Activity: Begin with stretching or a short walk when you feel like it. Listen to uplifting music while you do so. Gradually increase duration and intensity as comfort grows.
5. Work/School Tasks
Homework/Assignments: Break down tasks into smaller parts. For instance, start by reading one page or writing one paragraph. Use the Pomodoro Technique: 25 minutes working followed by a 5 minute break. Change the times if you feel you need to. No one’s stopping you from working for 10 minutes and taking a 20 minute break.
Emails or Administrative Tasks: Set a timer for a short period and only focus on this task during that time. The Pomodoro technique also works here.
6. Social Interactions
Keeping in Touch: Send a text message or make a brief phone call instead of feeling pressured to engage in long conversations or meetups. Make a discord server or group chat for your friends to keep in touch so you only have to send one message at a time. Avoid other social media.
7. Mental Health Care
Mindfulness or Relaxation: Cannot recommend this enough. Begin with a few minutes of deep breathing or listening to calming music. No screen time; just you and the music. Gradually try longer sessions of meditation or relaxation exercises as you need to.
8. Sleep
Bedtime Routine: Start with dimming lights and avoiding screens an hour before bed. Use a lamp instead of the ceiling light. Focus on one relaxing activity, like reading a few pages of a book or spending time cuddling with a pet. Put on some fluffy socks, some cozy jammies, make a hot and sweet beverage for yourself, etc. Make going to bed pleasant and relaxing for yourself.
If you battle insomnia, try herbal remedies like melatonin or CBD to help counter it. Avoid caffeine after noon. Go to bed an hour early so you have more time to unwind privately.
The key to managing your mental health and essential daily tasks is to make the tasks smaller! Take everything day by day. Don’t worry about the future; focus on the now and how you can make your own life easier and more pleasant right now. It’s the least you can do for yourself.

MINDSET FLAWS...WHAT ARE THEY?
INTERESTING READ:
There are several common mindset flaws that can affect people, including:
Negative self-talk: Negative self-talk involves the tendency to focus on negative aspects of oneself and one's life, leading to feelings of anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem.
Fixed mindset: A fixed mindset is the belief that abilities and traits are fixed and cannot be developed or improved. This can lead to a lack of motivation and a fear of failure.
Confirmation bias: Confirmation bias is the tendency to seek out and interpret information in a way that confirms one's existing beliefs or opinions, while ignoring evidence that contradicts them.
Black and white thinking: Black and white thinking involves seeing situations in terms of absolute, either/or categories, without considering shades of gray or complexity.
Catastrophizing: Catastrophizing involves overestimating the likelihood of negative outcomes and imagining worst-case scenarios, which can lead to anxiety and fear.
Victim mentality: A victim mentality involves believing that one is powerless and that outside factors are responsible for one's problems and failures, rather than taking responsibility for one's own actions.
Procrastination: Procrastination is the tendency to put off tasks and responsibilities, leading to stress, anxiety, and missed opportunities.
It's important to recognize these mindset flaws and work to overcome them. By developing a growth mindset, focusing on positive self-talk, seeking out diverse perspectives, and taking responsibility for one's own actions, individuals can cultivate a more resilient, positive, and productive mindset

Safeshiptember Day 1: Fall Weather
i actually had a bit of time today so! here’s a little drabble for today’s prompt: fall weather
It wasn’t often that the Shepherds could take a break from training, even during this peaceful spell. Chrom was now Exalt and father, and many of the Shepherds had taken upon a few more responsibilities to help the new family.
But, Fion pondered as they sat down on a log, perhaps this was as good of time as any to take a break. He had just finished a bit of training with the Ylissian cavalry, paused to take a breath before heading onto his next task.
“Is this seat taken?” A deep voice had asked him, a gentle cadence to it.
Fion turned his head to see Robin, a smile on his face as he awaited the bow knight’s response.
“Always, for you. I’m just enjoying the scenery before I head in for paperwork.”
“Oof, that’s rough.” Robin laughed as he sat next to them. “But, it is a beautiful day.”
And the scenery was indeed beautiful, as seasons changed to chillier weather. The air was crisp as the falling leaves, which were an array of reds and oranges and yellows. The air seemed to be filled with something cozy, although a bit chilly as Fion let it pass through him, sure the drying sweat from his training didn’t help to keep him warm.
Robin took notice of this as well, and held his arm out to Fion. “Though I guess it is a bit cold. Wanna come here?”
“H-huh? I mean, yes! If you don’t mind, that is.”
Robin smiled, the type that crinkled the corners of his eyes, “Always, for you.”
They blushed at their own words being tossed back at them in such a teasing manner, but despite that, they scooted over towards Robin, who tucked them into his coat. He was, indeed, much warmer than they were, probably fresh from the warmth of the castle, too. They hoped he didn’t mind them nuzzling closer, but he only did respond by tightening his hug on them.

Anyways it's going to be *great* when the passive blame that is already being largely placed on Arab and Muslim Americans (and the many people who just cannot consciously vote for someone who not only actively endorses a genocide, but whose party has spent so much time denying the fact and pussyfooting around the matter even from the most progressive candidates) who refuse to cast a vote for Biden becomes active and vehement blame instead of directing that anger and rage towards the political system that was allowed to degrade to a state where people have been essentially brainwashed to feverishly advocate for a candidate that has endorsed and actively funneled money towards a genocide and has not reversed any of those "Muslim bans" enacted by Trump that they love to bring up and has people at his rallies drowning out cries for a ceasefire with "4 more years" because the other guy will do the same but worse somehow. It's the people's fault, for not voting, of course.

Self-Care Challenge: Self-Soothe or Comfort box
Start by Gathering up some of your favorite things for comfort, make sure you have at least one item that involves each of your 5 main senses (sight, sound, touch, taste and smell). See examples below.
Find a container these items will fit in with at least some room to spare to add to it over time. Reusing/recycling and upcycling containers recommended, and it can be any type of container. Take the time to decorate your container in some way that sparks joy or find one that already does.
Place items inside and put in a place you can easily see and access when you need comfort/soothing. if you have large items that won’t fit you can put in a placeholder-like a note saying what the item is and where it’s kept.
The idea is to mostly have it all together for when you really need it.
Sight -artwork -coloring pages and coloring utensils -photos -a book
Sound -cd or playlist -comforting movie or tv show
touch -soft blanket -stuffed animal -bath bomb or Epsom salts
taste -chocolates or other treat -favorite drink
smell -scented candles -essential oils

1-5, 14, 21 for the year end asks :3
hi, thank you so much for asking, really!! and apologizes in advance for such long answers, as you can see, i'm just being “a bit” indecisive, hopefully I won't bore you too much with it!
1. Song of the year?
(for real, why such a seemingly simple question turned out to be the most difficult one. it's impossible to choose just one!)
czxcohjkhv okay, the first to come to mind is "Stargazer" by Rainbow, so gonna go with it. the drum intro, the sheer onomatopoeia that Ronnie's vocal approach always is, the astonishing guitar solo that practically spoilers the plot by being so evocative as well, the fucking intensity that this song is overflowing with??? I can never be normal about it, just can't. about their “Catch the Rainbow” (live 1977 Munich version specifically) neither. most ethereal ballad ever (and nope, Blackmore's solos don't even ruin the “balladiness” of it, just add to the vibe).
out of Black Sabbath's songs, i'm very much torn between Children of the Sea, Die Young, The Sign of the Southern Cross, After All (The Dead), Time Machine, Sins of the Father. and out of Dio's own stuff — Like the Beat of a Heart, My Eyes, Evil on Queen Street, Evilution, As Long As It's Not About Love, Shame on the Night. hhhng they're all too good, how am I supposed to choose anything, even one per band.
when it comes to music that doesn't have anything to do with RJD (yeah, I have been listening to it this year. sometimes), I still can't get enough of Queensrÿche's “Take Hold of the Flame” (especially live in Tokyo 1984). *in loud whisper* but also “The Story of One Sky” by Dimash, “Until It Sleeps” by Metallica (whoops accidentally became obsessed with it years after first hearing it), “Incense and Myrrh” by Arch/Matheos, and “Between Two Worlds” by Uriah Heep. (can you tell how tricky it is to choose just one..?) and out of this actual year's releases (but tbh I haven't really been keeping up) most memorable was Liliac's “Carousel” or Metallica's “Screaming Suicide”.
and the most satisfying one to play on guitar is definitely “the Last in Line”, it's a literal dopamine feast for my brain for some reason.
2. Album of the year?
have admittedly been listening more to live performances than to studio recordings this year so it'd be easier to just list specific concerts but gonna try pick a latter one after all. actually I think the album i've most often listened to from start to finish is “Lock up the Wolves”, it just flows very nicely in its entirety. the second place would likely be the masterpiece that is “Heaven and Hell”. as for the album that's made me spin it in my head most intensely it's “Magica” bc it's a concept one but in the least straightforward manner possible.
3. Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year?
my most prominent discovery of the year was probably Fates Warning (and their more modern incarnation Arch/Matheos), I believe. or Jethro Tull (and nope, I legit haven't even heard about them until recently, what of it).
but there's also a musician who's basically defined this year for me and whose voice i've been listening to almost daily (and who probably needs no introduction at this point). I have by no means only started listening to him this year though (c'mon, Blind Guardian cover of “Don't Talk to Strangers” was literally one of the very first songs to get me into metal in the first place; and my most favorite Sabbath song, back when I didn't give a damn about different lineups and was just vibing to the songs I liked most regardless of their albums, was from the Dio era). the difference is that only last December I first heard a live recording of his voice and was overwhelmed by the unparalleled level of intensity in it. bc ultimately his magic is so much more than just his voice, it's the laser-pointed intention behind every single word and the multi-layered thought-provoking lyrics and the everything hiding between the lines and the neverending love and generosity. it's not even sth easily convertible into words so i'd probably better stop being insufferable about him right here and now but the point is that Ronnie has had such a huge impact on my life that goes beyond anything that I ever thought any musician or even just anyone who i've never technically gotten to meet would be capable of having. but this impact has in fact helped heal sth very deep down so just... yeah.
4. Movie of the year?
i'll probably go with “predestination” (2014). there's just sth very intricate in all the levels of meaning in that movie, and especially in the way the main character is queer and their queerness is used of all things as a metaphor for quite a lot of interesting stuff. ngl I do have some issues with this movie but honestly considering that the short story it's based on was written in the fucking 50s and was still focusing on it is impressive already despite its flaws (also I love how the movie extrapolated and expanded on the original premise).
the most rewatched movie this year though would definitely be the “dreamers never die” documentary, no contest here (not crying at the very end of it is a challenge I always fail tbh).
oh and a honorable mention to “Nimona”, really loved that one.
5. TV show of the year?
realized only now that I haven't really watched lots of tv shows this year, huh. I think the only thing I did watch was the second season of “shadow and bone” and that's it, even though there's lots of other stuff i've been meaning to catch up with.
14. Favorite book you read this year?
answered there!
21. What’s something new about your place of residence (room, home, or general location) now vs the start of the year?
hmm i've got a new pin board, does it count?? it's bigger than my old one (and made from a different material, which turned out to be better) but i'm somehow already running out of space on it XD it was nice though to rearrange everything on it in a more systematic way rather than just slapping new bits of paper onto whenever I found a free spot (and to add Silvy's gifts there💜).
another new (like. literally last week new) thing is actually on my computer but it's sth i've been wishing for for literal years so it gets a mention anyway and it's an amp simulator. bc to be able to just plug my guitar in and build up the sound I want from scratch (well, not necessarily, there are tons of presets, it's just a very rare one that sounds well enough with solos imho) and have so much control over it, even over how much distortion I get depending on how hard I hit the strings? it's divine, i'm telling you. took me a while to figure out what exactly I need but damn, it's just so freaking awesome

my flatmate asking me the day before "do u want to hang out w me and [old friend] everyone else cancelled so I can invite u now" is not the heartfelt offer she thinks it is :^/
#what am i sloppy seconds. fuck off man#i like them both but im not in the place to socialise rn + also it just feels kinda mean. theyve had these plans for weeks#and i wasnt invited bc some of their other friends (who ive never met) didnt want me there which is fair enough ig#even tho their friends complained abt someone else bringing her bf but they both blocked the veto for that. pretty sure ik them-#better than some guy but whatever. i dont rly like their friends anyway bc they only ever have bad things to say abt them#like damn they sound like they have the emotional range of toddlers plus theyre all into shit like genshin. so i wasnt fazed abt it#hope they have a nice time etc but wow sure now theyve cancelled the day before u can invite me as a replacement. yeah thatll do wonders#for the social and self esteem issues i have around being single use and disposable and always on the outside etc yippee#the thing is if i go theyll just talk to each other anyway and leave me to be the fly on the wall like they always do. they dont want#me there they just want an audience i literally have nothing else to contribute i dont think they even like me that much so!#anyway complaint over. genuinely i hope they have a nice time im just annoyed at being treated like that + probably projecting a bit too#its not like i could go if i wanted to anyway bc i have shit to sort out + mail to wait for. maybe next time invite me from the start huh#we had another old friend visit last weekend but those plans were really made without me too and i was just added bc i Live Here so its#kind of unavoidable. but oh well whatever it was nice to see them either way#im too depressed rn to fix my social life or even rely on existing coping strategies in social situations so im having to temporarily#cut it back bc i get too trigger sensitive + dont want to hurt myself or others bc of an arbitrary emotional overreaction#its usually one of the first things to go when im Going Thru It not in a self isolating way but more bc its one of the hardest things#for me to maintain + im pretty self sufficient so its not absolutely crucial. like of course i love my friends but socialising is a#want not a need yknow. eating/sleeping/exercising/hygiene are all more fundamental parts of the engine so i gotta prioritise them#and it sucks but ill survive. anyway sorry for venting on everyones dash so early in the morning i woke up grumpy 👎#i need to get breakfast and then go out. ughhhhhhh okay.#.vent
