Weekend warriors is one of my fave episodes for a multitude of reasons

The way Shawn flirts with Sally Reynolds at the briefing was fantastic. Shes such a memorable one off character and she doesn’t really do much. I credit that to Clair Coffee and her dazzling smile.

One of the best moments of Shawn showing just how amazing his memory is, and the little montage was wonderfully set up. But Gus really shouldn’t be surprised by now. Out of everyone (except maybe his dad) he should be the least amazed by his gifts.

It has my favorite most stupidest joke i still laugh at to this day actually ive been promoted. Its Captain Crunch now.

I have a deep appreciation of this show for never shying away from the fact that Gus is black. It seems like a lot of 00’s shows simply avoided the topic altogether (if they even had a black main). Starting from the pilot when gus placed his hands on the dash when the cop pulled them over. It goes to show how important it is to collaborate with your actors, particularly if your writing room demographics don’t correlate with your acting talent.

The fuck are you talking about henry. It took him 4 months after he was born to smile at you and thats when you acknowledge him??? I mean, i think they both know thats crap, but still lol

Solid Juliet moment. I love that they showed she was scared, but was brave enough to continue. Too many shows try to do feminism by making their female characters not feel fear for some reason? Or like, they’re kind of crazy and seek it out. Idk. Its nice that shes allowed to be afraid and vulnerable. It makes her feel like a real person.

resharing my thoughts from twitter but i just watched the two parter lemonhope episodes again after a few years since seeing it and i actually think ppl who say its their least favorite episodes should probably rewatch it again as an adult if they haven’t already

i never personally hated it as a kid because i knew it was saying smth but i didnt get what. but now i know its clearly about what its like being an abused kid who leaves their home and doesnt know what to do with themselves

like when i was like 13-14 it seemed weirdly abrupt that after he saved his people he just left. i thought a lesson wasn’t learned. but i think its cool now. bcs after he finally repaid the debt that was haunting him he still wanted to move on, and its actually really interesting. some of these AT episodes just came out at a weird time

just for fandom related context and what I remember, Steven Universe was airing, Finn is literally at his worse, at this point we’re all teenagers so everyone not only understands theres a plot but expects one now and gets irritated when the story doesnt directly tie back to whats going on, a lot of lack of patience n trust in the story

and i get it i dont think i blame kids n teens at the time for being really frustrated, disappointed and confused with abstract storytelling and really intense plot lines with no clear resolution right away. i think it just makes me more grateful we got more seasons and these stories got told anyways

in my rewatch im getting closer and closer to Breezy which was the episode that made me drop the series as a kid - and I regret it a lot in hindsight. like at least for me i know very soon a looott episodes are about to got into even more painful subject matter and i do remember talking to my sibling who said they felt seen by some of the episodes in this time period but ln a way they literally Could not Process at the time and thats. still important i think

all in all im glad lemonhope as a set of episodes exists at all, and the fact people struggle to empathize with it even now is due to a lot of factors about the lemon characters that cant really be changed and actually make everything all the more interesting

Well, i really love a lot of ships, and i have a whole bunch of hcs!! like i hc most of the characters as aro/ace-spec like Aviva and Chris being aroace, and zach and Martin being ace-spec. I really REALLY love qprs. I want to gush about them 4 a bit Like my favorite would be Chrisviva, they're super sweet. like they have such a special connection 2 each other in the show also these screenshots

they're both pretty inventive and technical, (except chris is kinda more spur of the moment creative like when he used blades of grass to fix the little worm mobile) n i think like chris is like her cheerleader when she makes inventions lolz

the runner up 4 them is chriszach as a qpr. the way you described them as a qpr is like.. PERFECT. it encapsulated everything that i was feeling about them like if u remember my snow episode idea with bby tooth that was like the start of it like when he calls them wild ratts he separates chris from it and eventually stops saying "Wild Ratts" altogether and like slowly but surely stops using animals for his robots (like almost half of them dont even use the animals) bc he keeps having adventures with Chris and the others and sees that some things/people r worth changing for or something (i have a theory that he would turn good and Paisley is supposed to be his replacement but i'll write abt that later.). I like to think that if/when zach starts to help them out with their missions n stuff him n chris form sum kind of connection thats not romantic but like they care for each other and for each other's safety differently than they do for others n i think thats rlly sweet. I guess the best way I can explain their relationship is like "platonically down bad". As well as some scenes that (may) show that Zach does actually care 4 chris n the wk team. Super sorry if this is confusing I'll work on them a bit more!! other than that I dont rlly ship zach with anyone else

i havent seen the show in a while so what i remember is rusty and i dont think tim was rlly there a bunch so i only have like 3 hcs im srry BUT to make up for it i will go into depth about them kinda sorta, and by hcs i mean aspects of his character i liked in the show and just went “yea thats tim im including that in my tim most definitely” but i do have like 2 hcs

OK LOOK I LOVE THIS AS A FOIL RELATIONSHIP TO DARRY AND CURLY ITS GREAT, but HOW did they get close??? most likely after johnny and dallys deaths, pony spends more time w curly which means more time at curlys house which means seeing tim a lot more as well, at first tim would just pop in and go like “do yall want somethin to eat” and ofc pony was afraid at first but l as time went on, they just kinda clicked, maybe over art, bc each other using creativity as an outlet, or something or bc tim was like “o he is a bit fucked up actually” and took him under his wing

•hes somewhat involved w the curtis gang

mostly based off that one rumble episode, BUT i hc that after dallys death, tim became not close but definitely not a stranger to the curtis gang, he doesnt rlly hang out w them or anything like that, but he does see them quite a bit and talks to them, and especially teams up w them when they need it, think of tim as what dally was to the gang, the guy who came n went but was down w them, but in his own “yall cool but i got a gang to lead so ill help darry a bit when it comes to handlin yall” way if that makes any lick of sense

SPOILERS FOR MS. MARVEL

ok guys i expected this show to be pretty average.. nope. it was great. just 1 episode in and its already one of my favorite marvel shows. heres a bit of my thoughts on it -its so cool to see more representation. im not Muslim or Pakistani so i cant say anything about those aspects (tho im sure u could find stuff about it online from those more knowledgeable) other than its great to see other cultures and languages in a production like this. and like MoonKight they had what i assume to be cultural music, which was also rlly cool -ITS SO RELATABLE! LIKE SKDFJSGS;, i dont have the words. the fact that she daydreams all day about being a superhero, doodles during class, is a literal fangirl, and has parents who doesnt understand what she likes, is. so. relatable. this is the most ive ever seen myself in a marvel character, which is kinda the point of the show. but still. i was watching her talk about making her cosplay and looking at fanart and its just, i do those things. i have marvel shirts and dream about going to cons. the amount of, just feeling, i felt when her mom completely shut down her plan to go to AvengerCon is just, immense. like wow, so many ppls parents judge their kids for the things they like. the scene where Kamala tried to put something around her hips after her mom told her the outfit was too skimpy or tight (without even seeing it i might add) was something i just immediately felt. she didnt even need to monologue about why she felt the need to do it, i could instantly understand based on her action and expression. i cant put into words how this feels like a show that just gets us -her friendship with Bruno (im still not over that song why would u do this to me Disney). its so accurate to how friendship is and its so wholesome to watch. Kamala feeling out of place in school and being quite to meeting with Bruno and talking about the con? thats great, thats the friendships i wanna see. there was no romance, tho there may be based on the look they shared on the roof, but im surprisingly open to it. i usually never like romance in action based shows but they understand each other so well. their struggles and dreams, like even if their love is just platonic its still there. and i love to watch it (not to mention its the literal perfect superhero partner dynamic, the one who fights and the one in the chair) -the directing. ive had a lot of problems with Disney directing as of late (cough cough Boba Fett) but marvel shows have always been fine. WandaVision was rlly unique in its idea, so was Hawkeye, but none have stood out in just plain directing so far. until this. theres no weird shaky camera for no reason, no weird up close face shots (im looking at u The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), nothing like that. just good camera work and going 100% with the theme. the drawings coming to life on the walls and their texts becoming signs and Kamala's planning being animated/drawn. its like spider-verse and i love it. it seems so true to her character and the vibe of the show. reminds me of a movie i think exists where some guy in high school has the ability to make the things he draws real, but im not sure if i just made that up lol -references. some ppl call them easter eggs but either way their great. like me tell u i was screaming whenever i saw something from the greater mcu. even before the show started i noticed how MoonKight is now in the intro logo. there was a lot but some things i remember r the og captain america song at the con, the drawing mentioning his ass, also at the con, the trust a bro truck and original ms. marvel design as art during the end credits. im sure there was more and im kinda disappointed im not remembering them after just watching it -the mysteries. whyd the bracelet (idk if thats what its called but for now bracelet) give her powers? who r the ppl in the end scene (i dont think any other marvel show has had an end scene first ep)? will her old friend refriend her? OMG SHE STILL HAS THE POWER TO EXTEND HER LIMBS?? BUT NOW ITS LIKE CRYSTALS???

im a hizzie stan but i feel like from all the seasons i can easily see how lizzie loves hope and how those feelings could be romantic but could u maybe talk about how hope reciprocates those feelings? ofc hope cares for lizzie immensely but i just have a hard time seeing it ever being romantic on her side of things ?

in my opinion im with the lizzie falls first hope falls harder agenda...... i think that the fact that hope seeks lizzie out constantly and the fact that lizzies opinions and the way that while everyone seems to be overwhelmed by lizzie hope is just 1) amused 2) endeared says a lot about that. i dont think hope ever even realized how deep her feelings for lizzie go until shes faced w all of it and can look at it objectively from the point of view of having her humanity shut off but constantly challenged by lizzie's presence like we've seen in the last few episodes. like lizzie is someone who is very important to hope bc i think, and this is my opinion, lizzie actually got to know her and challenge her and in the end became the person who "WHEN YOU DONT CHOOSE ME IT HURTS MY FEELINGS UWUU" bc she holds lizzie to that degree. i think that because lizzie has spent her entire lifetime struggling with her feelings and emotions and has done so much therapy and counseling and etc, shes more in touch and more aware of what her feelings are and what they mean to her, and bc she is an outspoken person w what she feels and wants shes the one to constantly go out of her way to speak them out loud. but if u think about the way that hope's only two ppl she holds to that same standard are landon and lizzie, it gets a lil... suspicious LMFAO. hope is more of a person who punches first, so i think that bbg doesnt even realize any of it 😭 and THATS my favorite bit bc i love how pathetic and dumb she is when it comes to lizzie like she'll genuinely do anything for that girl and its so fucking funny bc even when her humanity is off she seeks her out, like saving her after telling her to fuck off, killing her bc lizzie got close to making her feel something, and then her whole thing last ep which was just pathetic girl rep honestly (cue in aurora asking why the fuck shes working w lizzie if she wants to be left alone)

SO i just finished wonder egg priority and i think that with confidence i can say it has been one of my favorite animes like... ever ?? and not even from hyperfixation or obsession over it just... its so fucking real yet so simple in a way that i havent rlly seen shown in any other shows you feel ??

but first i wanna talk about how sexy the art and animation is real quick... HOMIE ITS SO GOOD LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT JUST... serotonin... the characters are all so unique and iconic and fun but not over the top in their designs yknow ??? they seem like regular every day girls but they stand out and theyre all sO CUTE !!!! also i love how the style is like this soft bubbly slice of life lookin stuff with bright happy colors and the most beautiful scenes you could find but they also have the SICKEST fight scenes complete with whimsical animal helpers and terrifying villains and crazy weapons unique to each character. and the animation. god DAMN shawty i am obsessed with everything in this show. i might make a post solely about the art later lol bc i wanna get into the other stuff.

so the themes in the show right ?? it starts just as this cute lil magical girl kinda deal but within the first episode we see that like.. oh damn... thats kinda heavy... tbh i was a little shocked and thought about stopping bc yknow bad mental health BUT i was so intrigued that i had to keep going and i am SO GLAD that i did. because this show just so beautifully discusses all these heavy topics in such an eloquent and artistically expressive way. and also like, , the juxtaposition of the charming childlike vibe with bright colors and 14 yr old girl protagonists against the dark themes of suicide and so much else,, i think is just perfect. bc a lot of heavy animes are more of the seinen genre and have some middle aged dude as a protag or make the entire color palette dim or offer little relief to the pain of these heavy themes right ?? but NO not wonder egg bitches B) because these problems arent just things that ppl face later in life or just problems that need to be talked about among adults or the edgy seinen watching squad,, these are REAL problems that face people of every age, gender etc and i think its awesome that wonder egg addresses that. some may cringe at the thought of their high schooler watching animes that discuss sexual harassment, suicide, abuse, self harm, eating disorders etc,, but in reality it is the most comforting thing i have ever come across and is basically jsut free anime therapy. because not only does wonder egg present these themes to the viewers as something real that happens to all kinds of people (making said people feel heard in a way that maybe they hadnt before), but it also makes sure to vanquish all of these forms of trauma. and the way the trauma is vanquished isnt always beautiful and it isnt always just magically gone with a poof. the struggles of overcoming or living with that sort of thing are shown in such a real and relatable way that addresses every hardship trauma survivors have to go through. and i just. god i cry bro. 

oh m y GOD and the lgbtq+ rep in this show ?? like shawty... as soon as i saw episode one i was picking up on some gay/lesbian themes but then again im sapphic and project that a lot so i tend to see that sort of stuff like... everywhere... but NE WAYS... episode ten made me FUKCING CRY BRO LIke i cant believe there was a whole trans character with a whole trans pride hoodie like LKGHKDGH my heart is just so.. so fucking full thinking about him. bc like yeah i know there are trans characters in anime but i feel like theyre always very ambiguous about actually being trans or not or erased or portrayed as a harmful stereotype or theyre constantly misgendered and still refered to as their assigned gender at birth and i hate it. HOWEVEr... Kaoru.. *chefs kiss* it was so amazing to see a character straight up say “yeah im trans” in such a casual yet powerful way bc i personally have never seen that before. and i love love loved how he went into his backstory and talked to momoe about gender bc i think thats what she rlly needed and that it helped her find herself and it makes me so happy oh my god,, and the way they talked about it never seemed forced or like it was the focal point of his existence yknow ?? like yeah he existed to help momoe overcome some of her trauma but he also just existed to be HIM yknow ?? also... personally, i headcanon momoe as a trans girl even though i dont remember it being explicitly stated plus the school scenes of her and stuff would seem like they suggest otherwise ??but,,, SHAWTY THE AMOUNT OF SUBTEXT and her complicated relationship w gender is... something i feel like a cis girl would not go through so harshly yknow ?? with all of the questioning and feeling detached from femininity or feeling like ppl dont see her as an actual girl and only like her as a guy or for her masculine traits,,, but dont take my word on this bc i myself am a cis girl but that was just my take on it as someone in the lgbtq+ community trying to educate myself on the transgender community :) either way,, wonder eggs portrayal of momoe and kaoru and the way that momoe becomes so passionate about expressing herself the way she wants to as a girl is just... good lord im gonna cry its so perfect,,,.so ... i just love this show way too much. i also am honestly super lost about the relationship btwn acca and ura-acca ?? bc i was gonna mention ura-acca as a canonically gay guy bc when i was watching i interpreted ep 11 as him being in love with acca and being jealous of Azusa (bc i mean,, they lived together (i swear to god there was only one bed in that apartment) and had a daughter together and def loved each other and also when Frill said they were husbands and then when ura-acca said he wasnt attracted to azusa but he was def jealous of their relationship ??) but then i saw somewhere that theyre brothers ?? which would make sense ig since they look kinda similar and accas daughter called ura-acca “uncle”.. but at the same time its ANIME SO THEY ALL LOOK SIMILAR and referring to gay couples as siblings is an EXTREMELY common euphemism soooo... IM JUST LOST HERE... but yeah i tried doing research and found different things so i cant say anything for sure >:( however,,, if they are canonically a lil fruity for each other... when frill refered to acca as ura-accas husband i imploded dude you never hear that sort of wording in anime.. but if theyre related i am so sorry. 

god this is so much longer than i planned it to be oops but i also love the theme about like.. relying on friends to help carry your weight but at the same time not becoming completely dependent on those friends and using their support to learn how to love yourself and rely on yourself yknow ?? bc that is exactly what healthy friendships look like. bc i think ai sort of had a codependency thing goin on with koito maybe ?? but now she has a whole squad of funky friends that are so so different but all struggle with different kinds of trauma and although they fight over it, they always get through it with each other together. and they push each other no matter what to be the best versions of themselves and they teach other that getting hurt is okay because theyre always gonna be there to pick up the pieces no matter what happens. they can give each other space when they need and adapt to meet each others needs but theyre always able to balance it out with their own needs and thats such a beautiful thing in friendships especially at their age like damn i wish i had that maturity when i was 14 but no all i had was depression. another thing is that through these friendships you get to see all the different sides of each girl; you get to see them being strong or a shining light to their friends when theyre hurting but you also get to see them being hurt and weak and allowing themselves to be on the receiving end of the comfort. their friendships allows them to have weaknesses but it also allows them to highlight their strengths and thrive off of each others. I LOVE FRIENDSHIP DUDE

next i wanna briefly mention some of the themes connected to suicide that ive noticed. a big one is the survivors guilt that ai feels once koito is dead. several times she screams that she wishes she couldve gone with koito and she dreams of a “perfect world” where they committed a double suicide. one of the main reasons for her troubles is that she blames herself for koitos death and feels like it should be her thats dead... but at the same time she feels like too much of a coward to do anything now that koito is gone. she just has all these complex and contradicting feelings that wear away at her in ways that ppl that havent gone through the suicide of a loved one could never imagine. a lot of the times when things like this are portrayed in media i feel like its more in a way thats meant to guilt trip those that have taken their own lives and paint suicide as this selfish sin thats unforgivable but... not only does wonder egg reject that idea and instead portray it as a heartbreaking tragedy with,,, so so many terrible reasons, but it focuses on the feelings of ai separate from koito without blaming her in any way. not once did i feel like the show antagonized koito or that ai blamed koito for doing any of this, but they simply mourned her loss and touched on ais reaction towards the event but separate from koito herself if that makes sense. and i think that discussing survivors guilt without painting koito as the bad guy is something so beautifully done in wonder egg that can really resonate with those that have lost a loved one to suicide and have struggled with these same things.

okay i think this is the last thing ill mention,,, but HOMIE THE PARALLEL UNIVERSE BIT AT THE END. I AM. OBSESSED. i am such a whore for anything about the multiverse okay n e ways...,, not only did this make a super epic trippy ending of season one and add a little bit more magical girl whimsy to the show,, but it had such a powerful message. from the perspective of og ai,, finding out that you killed yourself in another world is... i mean its definitely not a surprise but at the same time it rlly makes you think how close og ai herself couldve been to that point and what decisions led her out of that dark place in her life. if i were in her shoes i would be terrified and id cry bc the thought of going back to such a dark place and actually going through with something like that is my worst fear and probably something that ai fears too. but at the same time,,, think from the perspective of ai two !!! like yeah its true that theres this awful terrible version of ai that dies but theres also a whole version of ai that is a superhero magical girl fighting off monsters to save countless ppls lives !! and she has a badass lizard and a gang of awesome friends !!! at first i was worried that ai two would be jealous of og ai and compare herself to her and feel inferior but like.. THEYRE LITERALLY THE SAME PERSON AND CAPABLE OF THE SAME THINGS !!! and ai two realized that !! just within the span of one episode, she went from the version of ai who took her life,, to the version of ai jumping in front of a friend to take a bullet for them and save their life. and that just inspired THE SHIT OUT OF ME. i think that ai was sent another version of herself to sort of beat her own worst enemy yknow ?? those doubts and fears that shes no good or that shes that same bystander from episode one and that she hasnt changed at all. but getting to interact with her parallel self and see her grow was just what she needed to realize that while yeah sometimes the worst thing can happen and things can be terrible but on the other hand sometimes the most wonderful thing imaginable can happen because she has the power to do either. 

so im gonna go ahead and stop rambling bc i got all my thoughts out that i wanted to for this post :D but yeah lol i might make another if i feel like it sometime. long story short: this show is perfect and it is going on my favorite of all times.

i would love to see a redemption arc for my man!!!! I want him to be able to move past his need for approval (especially from ppl like megatron) and find a sense of self worth for himself!!

I think he were given the chance to leave the decepticons, he would be end up being a neutral since he has personally witnessed the fucked up shit the Autobot government is up to. And then he could maybe like dedicate himself in trying to overthrow this corrupt government, not for the decepticons this time. Or maybe he can just finally do whatever he wants to do and pursue a career in the sciences

umm idk 🤔 i dont watch a TON of anime, a lot of it is what ive seen people talk about. but i guess ill put some animanga i really enjoy. theres not much though bc i ended up infodumping a lot. whoops

mob psycho 100: a lot of people have seen it already but i *highly* recommend it to just about everyone. this shit changed my life. unconventional slice of life/shounen cross. central theme of kindness and self improvement. cool ass psychic battles. thats mp100. warnings in case you didnt know for transmisogyny in the second half of the second ep and in the anime theres that minor character who looks like hes in blackface starting from i believe episode 10 of season 1 and showing up again near the end of season 2. really gross stains on what is otherwise one of my favorite media of all time.

blue exorcist: this has an anime and its usually how ppl get into the series but it has like confusing continuity between the first and second seasons and imo the first season at least doesnt do the manga justice. plus it only covers like 15% of the manga thats out rn and there were 6 years between the first and second season and no sign of season 3. so wjat im saying is READ THE MANGA

anyway its about a teenager who finds out his dad is satan and that hes a half demon wuh oh. he has a twin brother whos normal tho :) anyway he becomes an exorcist cause he wants to kill satan and also cause its the only way the other exorcists wont kill him outright. (this is like one of the things i was heavily reminded of when reading jjk and thinking it was super derivative lol) there are a lot of religious themes and aesthetics and the characters have interesting and fun development and the plot is really interesting and eventually gets batshit insane. its kind of long at this point and i think the author said its like halfway done but imo its very well paced and still worth reading. personally ive been keeping up w the manga for like 6+ years. unfortunately it is a shounen manga and suffers the plague of having a token pervert character (shima the bastard. at least every other character thinks hes insufferable) and sexualized woman character (shura wears a bikini top ??). author is a woman so i think she probably has internal issues but i shan't psychoanalyze strangers. also i dont remember this well at all bc i binge read this part when i was 12 but heres a post one of my friends made about transmisogyny in the manga around chapter 40.

witch hat atelier: this is a manga, doesnt have an anime. its about a little girl who wants to become a witch and trains with other witches in a little atelier. blew up on the tumbs recently, definitely as good as people say imo. the art is GORGEOUS in every single panel, all characters have clear motivations and defined personalities, plot is well-paced, and it generally feels comfy; theres probably one of the most gentle and caring mentor characters ive ever seen in qifrey. one of the things i really like about this that idk if ive seen talked about much is the subversion of the trope that "you have to be born with this power" which is best explained by the manga itself. not to mention theres disabled characters that arent "cured," but have creative accomodations that fit well within the universe, like "wheelchairs" being chairs with enchanted legs that move like an animal. i genuinely dont have any complaints about wha. its good. read it.

DONT read/watch tokyo ghoul. i mean it would be funny to me in a schadenfreude way if you did but dont for your own sake

s tier:

up first is terraria 3, i could spend way too much time talking about how much i love this season but ill keep it short and simple to spare your time, its s tier bc its my favorite hardcore season 

minecraft 2, ill be real this one is s purely bc of nostalgia ,, i hyperfixated on it hard when i was 9 and the last episode never fails to not put a huuge dumb grin on my face

minecraft 4, i just think this one is the funniest season overall and it also has nostalgia attached to it

a tier:

minecraft 5, i remember watching this season when it first came out and my tiny brain being blown away by the quality ,,, something special about the first todd season 

terraria 2, what can i say i really like terraria my dudes 

minez 1, i liked the format change and jeffs editing was swag ,, also love how unlucky they are when it came to getting disease, especially dean

minecraft 7, proximity voice chat was coool ,, plus ray and luke are always good guest buuuut it was just a repeat of mc5 riiip

Plus, that'd be unfair bc some of the participants I've only seen on the hardcores.

HEY SORRY THIS ONE TOOK SO LONG i got writers block for it at some point i guess. its not as complete as i want it to be but i want to actually give you an answer jgjhfvjhfvjh

ANYWAY SAKURA TIIIME LETS GO . clear card post anime cutoff spoilers are referenced!

Why I like them:

she’s wonderful. love so much her subversion of the chosen one trope, chosen not by the world or fate but by an individual, stuck at the center of the web and making the best of it. time and time again she is asked to use her power in the true clow tradition of taking and overpowering, and she says NO i am going to BE KIND and it is wonderful! transforming every card, bringing the whole magic system into an uplifted, kinder place.

i see that last battle with eriol as....well, the answer was to use kero and yue’s power to change light and dark, right? so i think it’s something eriol expected her to figure out on her own, for the last mark of her being recognized as clow’s successor being her ability to say “kero, yue, i need your power, please” and for them to unquestioningly do it. but she doesn’t, she would never, and they choose to offer her THEIR help. she wouldn’t put them in danger, she wouldn’t take from them.

Why I don’t:

what could you possibly hate about sakura? i do, however, dislike how clear card sort of writes her as a danger to herself. i dont like the implication that power itself is the corrupting thing and not the way people treat those with power. i want to see sakura being absolutely fine no matter how strong she gets because the people around her know she won’t lash out if they give her loving criticism, and i want to see her be at the center of decisions concerning herself from now on. 

Favorite episode (scene if movie):

a LOTTTTT of scenes but the first three that come to my mind right now are “i want us to be friends, not master or anything like that” , her transforming the nothing into the hope, and her asking eriol to help her play the piano so she could give a present to the cards. IT’S ABOUT THE KINDNESS!!!!!

while i havent really seen it i feel like theres definitely room for ppl to think of sakura as a ‘mary-sue’ or a character who hasnt ‘earned’ her power and had everything arranged just so in order that she gets it, and like.......yeah that’s the point of the story. sakura did nothing to ‘earn’ her successorship and she has to rise to the occasion anyway and that’s not a bad thing, that’s an interesting story.

Favorite character: to absolutely no one’s surprise i have to go w/igneous for this one. I Just Think He’s Neat.

Least Favorite character: there is genuinely only 1 character i like full on hate and that is brade. absolute bastard man everything abt him sucks and i will die mad about that.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): i dont feel too strongly abt most of these and its more like. yeah its ok BUT. igneous/magma, igneous/slate, beerain/lemin (which we are Not @’ing me for It Could Be That Deep also if i cannot find good wlw rep i Will make it), hunter/corona, …i like genuinely cant even think of a 5th one actually so thats that i guess.

Character I find most attractive: i joke abt being gay for igneous a lot but genuinely, magma is objectively the most attractive and if u think otherwise im sorry but you are blind

Character I would marry: this could be debatable but i think i have to go w/magma for this one also.

An unpopular opinion: idk what the consensus on the novels is actually but basically. i am at all times thinking abt petra and i wish she didnt get left on read so much because like i understand that she doesnt exist in the anime even somewhat and didnt get a canon design for the novels BUT she was rlly interesting and i just wish more ppl like. Acknowledged her…

My Canon OTP: with what we r given canonically i feel like hunter/corona was meant to be endgame even tho they ended up highlighting And completely ignoring the main love triangle right at the very end which is just lame.

My Non-canon OTP: this, also to no one’s surprise, is igneous/magma…

Most Badass Character: i think anyone whos seen the show should be able to agree that this is stags. he is just absolutely off the shits but in a very respectable way which is just very epic of him.

Most Epic Villain: this is a tie between grasshop and beerain i think bc they are both very good but for like. almost entirely opposite reasons.

Pairing I am not a fan of: i found out some time after the last time i answered an ask w/a similar question that aqune/magma is like an actual real concept that At Least one person has genuinely put Out There and so im going with that for this one bc like. listen. if you’re shipping magma w/a woman you are just Incorrect and likewise if you’re shipping aqune w/a man you are also Incorrect and those are the rules. it just doesnt work! even with that opinion aside the canon does not set it up to have any sort of good dynamic besides like. being pretty okay friends post-canon i think.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): technically could go in a lot of directions with this but i will just say i dont think igneous was written That Well actually, only bc they just like. had everything set in stone for him for the first half of the show and then for most of the second half they just kind of completely flip flopped a majority of his personality for a few gags here and there and then the moment episode..? i think its around 41 or 42? ends he just goes back to being the exact same way he was in the beginning of the show as if like any of the past several eps hadn’t even happened at all and i think its kinda lame. what im getting at here is that while i Can appreciate Some of it, it wasnt good writing it was just being inconsistent.

Favourite Friendship: ive said it before and ill say it again but magma and corona’s dynamic is very good and severely underappreciated i think. not even that its the most obvious thing but it is There and ppl r just cowards.

Character I most identify with: Not to sound like a kinnie but i have to be real here the main reason i have aqune listed as a cc is because of the fact that i do vibe a lot with her so i guess that is something
