Twst fest 2023 live stage readings (notes)

During the “Twisted Wonderland Festival” event that was held on August 20, 2023, the voice cast (sans Kouki Uchiyama, the VA for Idia Shroud) gathered together and delivered two live readings for the audience. As attendees were not permitted to take recordings of the event, some of them very kindly went and wrote down what they remembered hearing after they returned home. I've translated and compiled some of what they wrote in this post. This information comes from a number of different tweets, summarized notes, and anonymous discussion board comments. As we can’t presently be certain what dialogue and whatnot reported here is incorrect and what is verbatim, please take all of this information with a massive grain of salt.

Lastly, please do not pester any of the sources I listed for more information.

Live Reading 1

Featured Characters: Epel, Vil, Jack, Floyd, Azul, Riddle, Silver, Lilia, Cater, Kalim

Scenario: The characters recollect the different hometown events and make plans for summer vacation.

The scenario begins with Kalim, Riddle, Cater, and Silver sitting in the school courtyard, talking about where they’ll be going on summer vacation. The other students come over and join them as the discussion goes on. (The order is described differently in different accounts I read, so this might be out of order.)

Lilia and Vil said they had a great time in Sunset Savana, and Silver talks about the rabbit run race he did in Deuce’s hometown. Floyd says he wants to compete in a cool race, too, and then Epel talks about the sled race from his own hometown. Silver says Sebek seemed to have enjoyed himself on that trip. Thanks to the cuckoo clock Sebek bought him as a souvenir, he’s been able to wake up on time. (TL note: they said he literally said the clock pecks him?? Does he just put it by his bed and let the bird jab him in the face?? Dfgdfg). Epel is glad to hear Silver liked the clock so much.

Vil says that sled race does sound like fun, but it takes place in the winter, so they couldn’t take part in it during summer break. Harveston gets nixed as a summer vacay spot.

At some point Vil starts talking about skincare and sunburn prevention, and Epel says he thinks getting a little burnt looks kinda cool… maybe. Jack isn’t concerned about sunburns, but he does start talking in detail about preventing heat exhaustion (might be a reference to what happened during Tamashina Mina).

Vil asks Riddle about tourist spots in the Queendom of Roses, but he only suggests a bunch of “boring” places like court houses and libraries. He says there’s so many you wouldn’t be able to go to them all (during summer break).

After suggesting a bunch of different places, they eventually decide going to the beach would be a good idea. Azul and Floyd propose the Coral Sea but get rejected since the water is too cold there even in the summer. They talk about what they could do at the beach. Silver suggests they split open watermelons, as he learned from his father that it’s a legendary form of training. Silver offers to bring the watermelons. Jack agrees to come along (not because he wants to go have fun with them or anything!! (tsundere))

Kalim says they should all go to his place (his family has a private beach? And a beach house?). Azul gets excited.

Azul: So we’ll be going to a millionaire’s hom- I mean, you’re always so incredibly kind to me, Kalim-san, I would love the opportunity to meet your parents!

Floyd teasingly asks Riddle if he even knows how to swim and offers to possibly teach him.

Riddle: How rude. I’ve memorized a number of swimming instruction manuals, and in theory, I can swim just fine! (he doesn’t indicate if he can, in practice, swim though.)

Lilia suggests the pop music club boys put on a live beachside show.

Lilia: If we’re all going to the beach, I’ll need to make sure to wear that genie t-shirt Malleus bought me!

Silver: The first thing you need to make sure you do is stock up on sun screen.

Other random notes people included:

Azul wants to rake in the dough at the Asim’s beach clubhouse, but Floyd doesn’t want to work. Cater thinks a beach clubhouse would be totally Magicammable though.

It is mentioned that summers in Briar Valley are cool

Lilia says he wants to wear a stylish swimsuit

Epel would sometimes get excited and slip into his local dialect, then get flustered, and quickly switch back to standard Japanese.

Live Reading 2

Featured Characters: Malleus, Sebek, Ace, Deuce, Ortho, Leona, Ruggie, Jamil, Jade, Trey

Scenario: The characters compete to see who can come up with the best menu for a competition being held by the school cafeteria. They split into two teams: Trey, Jade, Malleus, Sebek, Ace, and Ortho on one team; Leona, Ruggie, Jamil, Rook, and Deuce on the other. The winners will be able to get as many add-ons/sides with their meals as they want for one whole month.

The scenario begins with Ace, Deuce, and Ortho talking together in the cafeteria. They come across a flyer for the aforementioned contest and being talking about it. Malleus and Sebek come over and join them. Since it’s a school event and he wants to learn more about the kinds of things humans eat, Mallues is interested in taking part in the contest. Sebek enthusiastically says of course they will take part!!

Sebek suggests the following menu:

The other students start coming over and join the discussion. Jade somehow ropes Jamil into things, and when Jami tries to escape, Rook appears and stops him (he holds his arm or something).

Trey is with Rook, and Malleus bids them to sit next to him. Ortho looks at Jami, Jade, and Trey and gets excited since they’ve all “maxed out their cooking skills”.

Jade: We’ll all be sure to try our best [in the competition].

Jamil: Would you stop saying ‘we’!

Ruggie and Leona appear. Ruggie says there’s no way he’s gonna let them get their hands on the prize.

Jade (smiling): Oh? But we’re certain to emerge victorious, considering the members on our team.

Ruggie: I ain’t gonna sit around when there’s free food on the line!!

Leona: Yeah, well, I am. Least until today's lunch break’s over.

Some sort of spat occurs between Leona and Malleus (no account I read describes it further than that), and Rook steps in to split everyone up into two teams.

Malleus’s team: Trey, Jade, Sebek, Ace, and Ortho Leona’s team: Ruggie, Jamil, Rook, and Deuce

Malleus’s Team

They talk about how bread/pastries sold in the foothill town sell out it minutes. Ace, Ortho, and Sebek wonder if it’s because it’s a limited deal that they sell out so quickly. Jade says when they have limited time and limited quantity deals at Mostro Lounge, those products end up becoming popular. Mal’s team decides on a menu based on “limited quantity”.

Leona’s Team

(I mashed together this convo from two different posts so the lines might be out of order)

Leona: Okay, theme’s gonna be meat. You guys come up with the rest.

Jamil: How about we spice up the menu a little? Add something extra?

Rook: We can flambé the meat in front of the students. Meanwhile, I shall perform a song by their one side, while Jamil-kun dances at their other!

Jamil: What!? Why me!?

Deuce (or Ruggie? Same lines are reported for both of them) : That’s a great idea! He’s great at dancing, and he can rap, too!

Ruggie: We got this in the bag!

Jamil: Now you listen here…

Leona (laughing) : Ain’t hospitality Scarabia’s whole thing? Go on, dance.

Jamil: Please, stop! You guys are taking this too far!

While all the students start talking excitedly about their menu plans, Ortho looks at the flyer again and he looks sad. Deuce and Ace ask him what’s wrong, and when they go to look at the flyer with him, they realize the competition already ended a while ago!

Covers 4/13 - 4/19

NRC Fashion is still at it against Lucius.

In the NRC Cooking club, 🍊will eat ANYTHING with chopsticks. But according to mod 🍋 , 🍊 tired to eat soup with chopsticks.

NRC Book club seemly be in a plush fight with everyone.

NRC host 🥀, why the heck you posted a video of people scuba diving while dancing?

They're fighting for Ace's love.

Ace was inside the Ramshackle and he was in Yuu’s and Grim’s room, he was hiding himself in the two-doors wardrobe dresser but the doors opened, hugging his knees as Grim was crossing his arms and asking him with a confused face, “What’s going on?”

“Why do you act like that when you knock so loud, I opened and you hurriedly entered and went to our room in panic?” Yuu asked him, Ace replied to them why he’s in panic, “Riddle and the other three, Malleus and the other three are after me…”

“What did you do?” Yuu stared at him with a scary serious face as Ace shook his head, “No! I didn’t do anything!”

“Then tell us!” Grim scowled, “We want to know why!”

“Alright, alright!” Ace then started explaining, “During the school, classes and lunch times, I join you for lunch. I always can feel the eyes on me, and in my room, I found love letters, chocolates, and expensive things on my bed!”

“Whoa…” Yuu widened their eyes and Grim nodded, “Keep going.”

“And I noticed Riddle, Trey, Cater and Deuce act so strange toward me, same thing with Malleus, Lilia, Silver and Sebek!”

“Yikes….” Yuu gulped and looked shocked, “I think you should apologize.”

“I did! But they knew I didn’t do stupid things.”

They heard the loud knocking as Ace yelped in fear, “Don’t tell them I’m here!”

Ace closed the doors as the Ramshackle Duo turned their heads each others before leaving and closed the door, deciding to protect their buddy and walking toward the door and opened it, they suddenly got shocked when the Heartslayul and Diasonmia were standing but they have wound marks over them with their dorm uniforms, smiling innocently as Yuu asked them, “Are you hurt?!”

“We’re just practicing… duel.” Riddle soon glared at Malleus who glared back, then the Dragon turned to smile at the Ramshackle Duo, “Now… Child of Man and Grim, have you seen Ace Trappola?”

‘Ah so that’s why Ace was in panic…’ The Ramshackle Duo thought in unison, then Yuu shook their head, “I’m sorry but we’ve not seen him.”

“I see.” Riddle nodded slowly but… Trey was the first to ask Yuu and Grim, “I can smell something’s fishy…”

Oh crap. Yuu and Grim tried their best to not show any facial expression, Riddle turned his head toward Trey, “What do you mean?”

Lilia suddenly realized that these two are hiding him from them, Sebek crossed his arms and glared at these two, “Are you hiding him from us?”

“Spill everything you know where Ace is!” Deuce made a scary facial expression and punched his palm with his fist, Silver glared at these two who were sweating over their faces, “So you hid him from us…”

“Hmmm…” Malleus then got a idea and know how to interrogate, he snapped magically and the tuna cans appeared behind them as the Heartslayul and Diasomnia turned to see from behind them as Grim widened his eyes and his pupils become big as balls, started drooling over his chin, “Tuna…..”

“Don’t you dare!” Yuu shouted and grabbed him from walking toward tuna cans he wanted so badly, everyone soon realized and turned to make a scary smile, the Dragon crossed his arms, “Tell us the truth we will give you tuna cans.”

“Yes! Yes, yes, yes!” Grim’s eyes sparkled and smiled so widened as Riddle asked him a question, “Is Ace Trappola inside your dorm and where is he?”

In Yuu’s and Grim’s room Ace was still inside the two-doors wardrobe dresser and whispered, “Please don’t let them find me, please don’t let them find me, please don’t let them find me.”

“Oh Ace~” He heard a voice and felt a chill shiver through his spine, shutting his mouth with his hands, trembling as he stared at the closed doors from the two-doors wardrobe dresser…..

Outside of the Ramshackle Dorm Yuu looked defeated and hung their head, kneeling on the ground next to the porch and Grim was so happy, eating the tuna cans like if he’s in a dream, suddenly….

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!” Yuu and Grim could hear Ace’s bloody murder scream very loudly, Yuu knew these dorm groups had found him and said with an apologetic facial expression, “I’m sorry Ace… rest in peace.”

Bocus: Ace kneeled on the floor and got cuddling from the dorm groups, tears rolled over his cheeks and got betrayed, “Yuu and Grim…. why?”

“We forgave them, but…” Riddle then made a scary smile, “We would keep our eyes on you.”

“And we know every move of yours and make sure you will only be with us.” Malleus planted a kiss on the Heart’s cheeks, Ace wondered and asked, “Are you still fighting over me? Or…”

“We made an alliance.” All of the Heartslayul and Diasomnia said in unison, eyeing him with a lovesick facial expression and smiled. Ace realized he can’t escape from them….

• "AAAH-" deuce lost a hold of his grip that resulted him into falling off the tree. "DEUCE!" jack ran off to catch him but you were in the way. he was about to land on the ground until you succesfully catched him. deuce departed from your arms after you managed to catch him from falling off the ground.

• "please don't do any of this next time, you guys. i would actually pass out on the ground if you guys were seriously injured." you let out a loud sigh with worry in your voice. "i'm impressed with how you are able to catch deuce from falling, mc." you heard lilia's voice so you turned to him. "MR. LILIA?!" jack, deuce, and ace gasped in surprise upon seeing him. "oh, lilia. so you saw all of that, huh?" lilia nods.

• "mhm, i heard a commotion nearby which turned out to be the three of you." he answers. "now, all of you ought to listen to the prefect here. they are always cautious of your safety." lilia says. "oh good, the boomers are talking." ace lets out a sigh. both deuce and jack smacked him by the shoulder because of his response. "hey, i was just kidding!" he curses out.

• "heck, even trey isn't on the same level as mc!" he randomly called him out as he saw him. trey heard his name being called by ace. "heh, what did you just say, ace?" he stopped picking up the apples that were dropped on the ground. someone was definitely not getting their slice of apple pie.

•his expression was priceless which lead to everyone laughing. "might this mean that i have a chance?" lilia hummed as he wonders. "what chance?" ace bluntly points it out as lilia shook his head. "whoops, you hear nothing trappola."

• oh, and lilia would be glad to take you in as silver's other parent. just kidding. though he is still in favor for that, you're gonna have to sort that up with him; if you're interested. (ehem)

• "father, must you be serious about it?!" silver gasps in shock. you were on the same boat as him as well. lilia said something about wanting you to be silver's other parent.

• "the look on my face says it all, son. i am in fact serious." you didn't know how to react at all. but you knew lilia would be joking since that's how he usually is. the cheeky one.

• "i, i don't know how to respond to that." you sighed. lilia lets out a loud laugh. "HAHAHAHA, i was rather joking mc. no need to feel pressured now." he assures you.

• but before letting out another word his mouth, he looks at you with a smirk and leans over the wall with his arms crossed. "but, if you do happen to change your mind.... feel free to inform me right away-"

First of all, let's start with the pre-relationship steps.

Silver is pretty calm, which is a relief for you considering the amount of headaches you've suffered with so many overplots and the several times where you've been included in the first-year's problems.

Your first meeting was something… odd?

After leaving Grim with Deuce and Ace (which you would regret before long) you ended up walking through the NRC facility, inadvertently bumping into a boy under a tree peacefully sleeping.

He was so beautiful, he seemed to hypnotize you with such beauty, so much so that you didn't notice when you crouched down next to him and looked at him closely.

Once you recovered your senses a wave of embarrassment swept over you and you quickly moved away trying not to wake him up, deciding just to sit next to him and enjoy the silence and calm of the place.

You don't know how much time had passed since then, until you heard how that sleeping beauty was waking up.

"Hmmmm…. yawn …. oh hey, who are you?"

You couldn't help but laugh lightly at how calm he looked, though you were aware that he would have no reason to be alarmed since you both had the same uniform and studied together, but you were used to how some students' first reaction was to yell at you and try to start a fight.

You quickly introduced yourself and explained that you had found him asleep on the grass so you decided to sit next to him since he looked so comfortable.

After he heard your name and was 100% conscious he made a comment that left you somewhat surprised.

"You were there when the incident happened at the Spelldrive tournament, weren't you? I knew you looked familiar, you were with those two who had marks on their faces and the guy with the wolf ears weren't you?"

You were somewhat impressed when you heard him, after all what you were usually known for was either the overplots or the incident you had earlier in the year (don't ask which of the two it was anyway, though the way he recognized you is related to one of the overplots).

The two of you ended up talking for quite a while and a certain fae had been spying on both of you under the pretext of looking for Silver.

Time was passing and things were changing, as was your friendship with Silver.

Over time you both ended up being quite close, to the point that you were often invited to Diasomnia (to the chagrin of a certain green hair who, although he denied it, was slowly getting used to your presence) and taking part in one celebration or another.

Sometimes it was you who helped Lilia and Sebek to look for Silver when he fell asleep, other times you stayed by his side enjoying the tranquility, it all depended on how the days were going.

It's not like he hasn't changed either, once he was more comfortable with you he used to tell you stories of his childhood, helping you with what he can considering he's a year ahead of you (he gets to a point where he compliments how good you are with the sword [this is completely canon, in the game in Silver PE Uniform voice line, he thinks MC has a talent for the sword. Home transition 2 "I think you've got some talent with a sword. I'd like to see you fight seriously sometime.")

It wasn't until Silver began to feel a strange sensation that things began to change.

After an emotional talk with Lilia where I explained to her what I was feeling, Silver started to change her behavior with you, starting to be more and more careful with you.

At that moment you realized how much he appreciated you and you started to develop feelings for him.

Fast forward a few months later, both of your feelings were painfully obvious. To such an extent that Lilia and Adeuce had to give you both a push, ending in a confession that many expected but that was just as beautiful as the first time you met Silver. ♥

I decided that Grace is somewhat a Yuu. But you know, not following traditional game lore. She goes to the ceremony and actually gets sorted into Diasomnia.

The whole thing with Grim does go down just... as an isolated incident with Crowley being the one to keep watch over the him until he figures out exactly what to do.

But Grace? Sorted into Diasomnia. If I recall correctly, Diasomnia is a dorm where they value those with strong magical power and honor? Don't quote me on that, I do believe I read it on an analysis on here once. I ran with that analysis though.

Arthurian Mythology tends to follow the chivaric code, which can often be seen in Lilia, Silver and Sebek! Knight's honor and what not. Besides, it just makes sense. It'd be the perfect dorm if only they didn't scoff at her at every turn simply because her magic isn't all there at the moment. When reading the theory and everything, it makes sense. But in practice? It's lacking, comparable to a child that's just starting and can't even levitate a spoon.

So they scoff at her at every turn. Her fellow first year, Sebek berates how she'd bring shame to the dorm as a human, others simply shame her and try to reason that the mirror made a mistake. That she probably shouldn't have been accepted into the school. (Call back to how in the novel others tend to scorn Yuu because he's magicless and still an alumni.)

→ These are her first two weeks of school until she sighs and goes to Lilia (since Malleus is MIA) to discuss changing dorms. Not to please the others but more-so because she's just so over it lmao

She got used to the training grounds there for her sword fighting though, and Sebek and Silver are both great sparring partners but FUCK if people aren't annoying. Lilia ever the father figure decides to make a compromise. They speak to Crowley and Crowley reasons that if she simply doesn't want to be in the dorm she couldn't switch (the other dorms aren't appealing, maybe Savanaclaw because training sessions, but Diasomnia is the best in her opinion) which is WHEN Ramshackle is brought up.

And until she can basically jump start her magic to where it used to be, she gets to stay in Ramshackle Dorm.. despite it being abandoned and well... Ramshackle. Crowley also gives her the task to watch after Grim. Maybe figuring how to tame this dire beast will help her do somethings here and there.

→ THIS. Is where the game begins! Basically!

She's already a student when the [Prologue] where she meets Ace + Deuce officialy happens. She still accompanies them to the mine and Deuce is the one to make note of how not-afraid she is despite lacking proper magic. Ace kinda shrugs him off about it, but like she's literally about to throw hands with a stick. Actually I wonder if she has a sword/baton like Silver?

She doesn't use the Diasomnia uniform actually! She uses some random vest she found in Ramshackle when cleaning out and doesn't really wear the Diasomnia Dorm uniform either pffft. Has it though. The little Dorm ribbon? She has it in her bag, just doesn't use it.

Deuce and Ace stick with her after that, though she kinda side eyes Ace often because you know.... Ace will be Ace. And some of the shit he does really grinds her gears, but she does have a soft spot for Deuce especially after book 1. Something about how he does everything to make his mom proud really resonates with her... though she doesn't know why.

Ah, she doesn't remember anything from before waking up in the lake. Haha.

My favorite thing about working on Grace has GOT to be how I worked with each overblot scenario fixing it to match her character. How to honor these knightly code values that stay in her mind, instincts at this point. Why she reacts how she does. So let's separate each book in like... conflicts and how they affect those around them. Is it within the dorm? Is it an internal conflict? Does it affect the whole school? External conflict.

→ Book 1 (internal conflict)

At first she kinda... sides with Riddle. Ace's ridiculous excuses and she'd be like "yeah, kinda serves you right." But then Deuce comes in and talks about how ridiculous some of the rules are and she goes "Huh. Let's go see then." Meets Cater, sees how utterly stupid these rules really can be and well- we all know how Book 1 goes down.

It's called The Rose-Red Tyrant for a reason. And that kicks her chivalrous ideology into play. She's gotta help sort out this internal conflict before it gets out of hand. It's great.

Of course that's... internal conflic, just imagine when it's external and concerns more than one dorm.

→ Book 2 (external conflict)

Leona's whole thing practically affects everyone. Hurting players in other dorms already irks the living hell out of her, foul play and what not. But going as far to involve her actual dorm? I think... at the end is when Ace and Deuce kinda find out that she's in Diasomnia. Like.... I'm just saying as someone who did those types of ceremonies where they drone on calling people one by one like graduations... you zone out at some point.

Anyways, I DO HAVE WRITTEN DOWN WHAT SHE SAYS TO LEONA. Because yeah Lilia goes off at him but like so does girly. I think it was.

"It is a good thing that you are the second Prince. if this is how you behave as the Leader of a Dorm, then I can not fathom to imagine how you would be as the Leader of a Country."

Which, you know.... is a dick move and DOES add to his overblot. But also Lilia follows along with his Malleus speech. Silver watches amused and Sebek agrees. Ace and Deuce are like "holy shit" but Deuce lowkey is like "that's kinda-" (I'm bringing Deuce up alot, aren't I? :) That's an important detail for later. Keep in mind, she was meant to be with Silver, at first.)

Anyways, those are like two of the best examples of how it comes to dealing with overblots, it's pretty fun actually!

An important detail is that I don't... think she's in any club right now. When she was a Yuu I had noted down that she used to be in a fencing club, which I would like to include but the closest thing is the training/sparing sessions Sebek and Silver often do. So she often can be found in Diasomnia sparring with Silver which leads to... the rumor mill rumor milling haha

Glorious Masquerade spoilers #17

NRC boys are screaming (mostly Grim) as they are falling down after the floor caved in. Trein shouts for everyone to brace themselves, and uses his magic to soften the landing as they all come crashing down with a huge thud. As the smoke settles, we can see that our boys are once again outside beneath the roads out in the waterways.

Trein asks the boys if they are safe. Epel replies “Y-Yes. Somehow.” Yuu is relieved everyone is okay. Azul comments that those who couldn’t soften the blow of impact on their own seem to be safe thanks to Trein-sensei. “Very impressive, Trein-sensei! Of course, I used my wind magic to land on my own!” Good for you, Azul. Idia cries out “That’s cheating!”

However, the banter is cut short. Even in a place like this, the Crimson Flower is spreading. Ruggie notices that there are a lot more flowers than before. Riddle says it looks like the ground is burning. Jamil wonders if it’s Rollo’s intention to corner them in a place full of flowers, and drain them of their magic. Sebek calls Rollo a “cowardly imitation”.

Silver says they need to deal with the flowers, and not let harm befall Malleus. Malleus reminds him that the Crimson Flower absorbs magic and grows the more it consumes. What will they do? Rook says because Malleus is born with a wealth of magical power, it may not come to his mind right away. But, asks if there is a way to get rid of the plants without using magic. The solution seems to dawn on Malleus.

Grim is still unsure what Rook meant, so Epel fills him in explaining in hushed whispers. Grim excitedly is on board with the plan. Trein is pleased with the group’s teamwork. Grim shouts that before the plants can drain their magic, he’s gonna get rid of them. Our cat child is raring to go!

After the battle, Grim is out of breath. He says his hands hurt from holding so much grass. I guess their solution was to rip the flowers out. Azul can’t believe that the day came where he’d be on the ground plucking out plants and not money.😆 Poor Professor Trein’s wrists are hurting. He’s too old for this shit😭 Even Malleus is struggling with the weeding, having no idea it would be laborious. They can’t let their guard down.

But, just as he says this, Silver tells him the plants are beneath his feet. He urges Malleus to be careful. Trein says not to rush. Ripping the flowers out will take time. Idia is at his limit. He’s going to run out of strength before running out of magic. Ruggie, ever the expert, tells everyone to put more pressure on their feet. Their posture isn’t right. Even Epel tells them they can’t pull out the weeds with a hunched back. Yuu cheerfully exclaims they’re good at weeding. Of course, Sebek won’t allow himself to lose to humans!

After the second battle, Jamil asks if they got rid of everything. Even though it’s not his first time weeding, he’s pretty beat. Deuce notes that Trein has been crouching down for a while. Riddle asks Trein if he’s okay. Trein’s waist is hurting, and can’t seem to get back up. Ruggie can’t believe everyone was plucking weeds and complaining. This is practically something a kid in the slums would do.

Idia says he’s too tired to even get angry at the amount of weeds. Epel comments that he understands Idia’s and everyone else’s sentiments. He too used to help with mowing and weeding on his parent’s farm. The Crimson Flower has strong, long roots unlike regular weeds. Rook agrees. It was hard pulling just one out. He recalls that the plant was eradicated, but how did people manage in the past? Malleus doesn’t know. He never thought he’d pull a plant with so much fertility with just a hand.

Riddle says that the flower even breeds in places where there is no sunlight. It’s such a terrible flower. Azul notices he can see light at the end of the tunnel. It sounds like a frenzy outside. Malleus wants to know where they are. As they step outside, the moon is shining in the sky. They realize they’re out in the very waterway they visited earlier that day.

Azul says he read that the waterway channels were all connected. He mentions that they can see NBC above them. Perhaps, Rollo Flamme is… He may have been preparing to make the Crimson Flower bloom in the waterways. Malleus agrees. In order to bring back an extinct flower, appropriate equipment and preparations would have been necessary. With the underground waterways so close to the school, it would have been easy for Rollo to hide things. And, if the channels were the starting point for the flowers to grow, it make sense that they overgrew throughout the waterways. Idia wonders where Rollo got the seeds for an extinct plant. Nonetheless, Idia says Rollo is such a villain, and hopes he won’t disappoint. (Um, Idia…what?😅)

Their discussion is interrupted by screams up above. The flowers have sprouted further alarming the townspeople. People are screaming, shouting, and succumbing to the Crimson Flowers. Hearing their pleas for help, Jamil says most people would have let their guards down this late at night before going to bed. Deuce curses, knowing the magicians are being drained.

Silver can’t understand why Rollo is so angry. But, he realizes that Rollo has a deep hatred for magicians regardless. Sebek says who knows. Neither does he wish to know. Even though Rollo is a magician, it’s like he’s hating himself even though he sees magicians as the enemy. (It’s like you, Sebek. You look down on humans while being half-human yourself.) Anyways, Sebek can’t understand such perverse human ideas.

Azul says that Rollo hates mages so much, that’s basically the whole reason behind the exchange meeting. Malleus is surprised. Azul explains that it’s natural to think so. If Rollo hates mages that much, isn’t it obvious he’d round up all the students from all the mage academies participating in the exchange meeting using the Crimson Flower? Rollo was steadily preparing while they had no idea they were walking into a trap.

Malleus remains quiet. Idia comments that it was basically like a moth to a flame. He adds that from Rollo’s point of view, they were nothing but stupid bugs. Azul agrees, it’s making him quite angry. All of them, as Rollo said, were brilliant idiots. Idia continues by saying that Rollo’s aim from the beginning was Malleus.

Malleus still remains silent. Azul says it’s possible. Malleus is not only the best in their school, but also a world-renowned magician. The exchange meeting was merely an excuse to crush Malleus. Idia adds that the exchange meeting was simply to bait Malleus.

Trein mutters that Idia and Azul keep rubbing salt into the wound. Malleus still isn’t saying anything, but you can tell he’s starting to get pissed. Deuce asks Malleus if he’s okay. Jamil points out he’s been silent with such a stern expression. Epel says it’s not unreasonable. From Malleus’s point of view, he’s the reason everyone got involved. Perhaps he feels responsible.

Riddle says everything about Rollo Flamme’s intentions is speculation. Even if it’s true, Malleus did not break the law. There’s no need to be depressed. Idia mutters “A person who can’t understand the human heart, Professor Riddle…” Idia adds his line wasn’t meant to be comforting, but he’d say the same thing if he was in Malleus’s position. Azul agrees. Not just Riddle, but Malleus, too. Azul doesn’t think he has the audacity to be depressed by such things.

Malleus continues to remain silent. However, the familiar red glow of the flowers appears. Sebek shouts at Malleus that there’s a flower creeping up on him. Trein can’t believe there was still a flower lingering by. Silver pleads for Malleus to dodge it. But, Malleus simply smiles.

Silver calls out to him, worried. Finally, Malleus speaks. He understands now. Everything Rollo said was a lie. As he says this, electricity begins to crackle around them. The skies rumble, and lightning flashes. Silver realizes they have a problem. Sebek adds that Malleus is angry. Deuce is shocked. Angry? Malleus was depressed…

Malleus continues. The exchange meeting, and his own personal invitation, it was all a hoax. A plot to trap him. More thunder crackles, loud and harsh. Malleus declares that he cannot forgive Rollo.

Idia notes that Malleus is incredibly mad. Azul asks who it was who said such a stupid thing. Please, take responsibility! Rook says Roi du Dragon’s cry is heartbreaking. It makes his heart tremble when he hears it. Ruggie says it’s not his heart that is shaking, but the actual ground.

While Malleus’s thunder and lightning continues to tear the heavens apart, and the boys are shitting themselves, Silver comments how pleased Malleus was to be invited to the exchange meeting. Because he was invited, Malleus made preparations and read lots of books regarding the City of Flowers. Sebek adds that Malleus even marked the date on the callendar, and counted down each day as he looked forward to the trip. (Awwww💔)

Anyways, Silver says that Malleus’s grief is immense now that he’s been betrayed. Sebek says it’s very saddening. Jamil can’t believe this is Malleus’s response when he’s forced into a desperate situation when he’s mad. However, Malleus is on a rampage. HE THOUGHT HE WAS INVITED!!! UNFORGIVABLE! ABSOLUTELY UNFORGIVABLE!!!

Another fierce flash of lightning goes off as thunder loudly cracks above. The NRC boys are beyond scared shitless right now.😬

Malleus Draconia x Reader

Prompt: The reader is sledding with Malleus when the ice begins to crack beneath them. MC pulls Malleus out of the danger zone but she falls in. Someone saves her and she wakes up in the Infirmary in a rather...interesting compromise

Anyways, this story is about 4K+ words and would be more but I split it into two before it could get way too long.

Winter was in full swing.

The blizzard last night had frozen the air solid with below negative temperatures. Any source of water outside had become solid, slippery ice--good for the lakes and ponds, not so much the knees and hips.

The blizzard had even dumped inches of snow, which thankfully with the help of magic could easily be swept up and out of the way with ease.

You hadn't expected much to do with the snow; until you heard a knocking at the door.

"Yoooo! Prefect! Let's go sledding! We got you your own sled." Ace said when you opened the door.

Both he and Deuce had wooden sleds trailing behind them but Ace had an extra sled.

"Go sledding?" You repeated, dumbfounded.

Of course, you had heard of sledding before, but the last time you sledded was when you were little, a few times when you were babysitting your younger siblings.

"Huh? Have you never heard of sledding?" Deuce asked.

"No, no I've gone sledding before it's just...I haven't gone sledding in a very long time. Sure I'll go! I'll go see if Grimm wants to go too!"

"Hurry up!" Ace called as you shut the door.

Grimm who was curled up by the fireplace eagerly agreed and scrambled to get his little snow booties. You slipped on your fleece-lined leggings and a tank top layered under a plaid long sleeve shirt.

You put on a thick hoodie, scarf, gloves, hat, and finally your snow boots.

"Ready to go?" You asked Grimm.

The cat was laying on his back struggling to slip his last boot on. Finally, he slipped his paw on and with a heavy sigh answered, "Yep!"

Grimm scrambled after you to the door. It was still snowing, but it was slow with very light fluffy droplets. You took the sled from Ace and Grimm hopped on.

"My brother told me about this really big hill where you can go sledding! It's right next to this pond where you can go ice skating too!" Ace rambled non-stop.

You paused noticing Tsuntarou was walking out of Sam's shop with his dorm mates.

"Eyo! Tsuntarou!" You called waving your arm.

"Who's Tsuntarou?" Ace asked.

"Does she mean-" Deuce gulped.

They followed your waving to--oh shit!

Ace and Deuce stiffened seeing you were gesturing to Malleus Draconia.

And you just called him Horned Dude!

"Child of Man? What are you doing out here in the cold?" He asked with a chuckle.

"I was just about to go sledding with my friends Ace and Deuce here, you wanna come with?" You asked.

Malleus' eyes widened in surprise well Ace and Deuce felt their souls leave their bodies. It was clear you had no idea who he was if you were offering the Prince of Thrones to do such child-like playing.

Then again, he hadn't gone sledding since Silver was just a little boy.

With a grin, he said, "Alright I'll join you."

"Wakasama! You just got hot chocolate, you'll spill it all over yourself!" Sebek barked.

"Oh, hot chocolate? May I have a sip?" You asked, pointing to the plastic coffee cup in his hand.

"Of course." Malleus chuckled.

"Is it hot?" You questioned as he transferred it to you. You could feel the heat beneath the fabric of your gloves.

You brought it to your puckered lips gently blowing on the mouth hole. Once you were sure it was cool enough you took a gentle sip. Indeed the chocolate was a bit hot, but you could feel it warming you up as it traveled down your throat.

You licked your cold lips as you pulled the cup away, "That's very good hot chocolate."

"You may have the rest," The Fae smirked, "After all, humans are very weak to the cold."

"Aye!" You playfully blurted.

"May I join? This old man hasn't gone sledding in so long." Lilia added stepping forward.

"Uhh...Ace? Deuce?"

"Uh, sure." Ace said too scared to see what would happen to him if he said no.

"We are going too! We must protect Wakasama!" Sebek blurted.

"The more the merrier, right?" You sighed.

You knew Sebek meant well but dear god, he was annoying at times. At least Silver seemed the slightest peaked, he didn't look as drowsy as he usually looked.

"Oh, what about sleds?" You asked.

"We have our own, I can summon them when we arrive at our destination."

"Lucky." You mumbled.

You set off with the group walking beside Malleus. The group was heading deeper into the forest surrounding NRC following a trail. The crunch of snow beneath your feet was satisfying, but it was also a struggle to pull your feet out and pull the sleigh with Grimm.

"Allow me to pull the sled, you look like you're struggling." Malleus offered.

"It's fine, Tsuntarou." You lied between heavy, white puffs of breath.

He took the leash and you sighed and let go allowing him to pull it instead.

"How much longer until we arrive at this hill?" Grimm whined. You were tempted to strangle the fuzzy furball since he had a good time just chilling on the sled.

"We just arrived!" Ace announced.

Not even a minute more of walking and you saw you were on top of a rather large, steep hill. Down the steep slope further down was a large pond.

The sun peeking through the flurry of clouds cast a glittering shine on the layer of ice on top.

As much as you loved to see the sight, you needed to catch a breath. You sat down in the snow, leaning back on your arms.

"Prefect?" Malleus asked.

"I'm good," You huffed, "Just resting."

"Human, this is a lovely sledding area," Malleus said.

Ace shrugged trying to play cool.

"So who goes first?" You asked.

The atmosphere felt like when a teacher asked a question to the class. Everyone avoided eye contact grimacing at the slope--or sleeping in the snow.

"How about you (Name)?" Ace chuckled rubbing the back of his head.

"Seriously? What are you a bunch of chickens?" You scoffed.

"The hill is a bit scary..." Deuce muttered.

"Fine. Wimps, I'll be the guinea pig and prove that it's fine." You pulled your sled over to the curve.

The snow at the curve was dangerously glossed with a thin layer of ice making the sleds faster, but it would be easy to slip and slide all the way down.

You straddled your sled as you pulled yourself closer.

"I can push you, dearie," Lilia offered

"A push would be lovely." You answered.

Lilia knelt down and grabbed onto the edge of the sled. With a nod, he pushed you off and down.

You couldn't deny you sounded like a professional scream queen as you flew down the hill, at one point hovering over the ground before landing. The cold air whipped past your eyes and face like diamonds.

At first, your screams were of fear but halfway through they became screams of delight.

The only issue was slowing down. On the flat ground your sled skid until you put your feet down.

You stood up, your legs shaking a little as you let out a cry of excitement with your arms raised, "Whew! That was fun!"

On top of the mountain, the others were belly laughing from the hilarity.

The only issue was making your way back up to the top of the hill. It wasn't the worst ever hill climb despite the height, but it was challenging. Halfway through your climb Ace and Deuce were skidding down the mountain in a competitive race.

Tsuntarou greeted you at the top with a big grin, "How was the ride?"

"Very fun! You should really try it!" You chuckled.

Lilia was next and he wasn't as fast due to his small figure, but he did get a lot of air time. It took a little bit of convincing and the help of Malleus to get Sebek to race down with him and Silver.

It was hilarious, but your ears hurt as the crocodile screamed the whole way down. When he arrived at the bottom his sled tipped over and he tumbled into the snow. Despite the harsh tumble, it was surprising to hear the usually uptight fae laughing.

Even Malleus was laughing the entire ride down, getting a chuckle out of it.

Lilia used his teleportation spell to move all of them back to the top.

"Hey! How come you didn't do that for me?" You asked, crossing your arms.

"You didn't ask, dearie." Lilia chuckled...

You never felt so much joy when you first arrived to Twisted Wonderland. You raced against Ace and Deuce both separately and in a three-way race. Raced against Malleus, Malleus accompanied Lilia, much to Sebek's worry.

"(Name), can you count down for us?" Deuce had asked.

You stood between him and Ace with your hat raised high up in the air.

"Ready? Go on go! Three, two, one...Go!"

You dropped your hat and the two boys pushed themselves off and down the slope. You snatched your hat, watching as the two boys let out the most hilarious shrieks of terror.

They both tied but Deuce had gone farther causing the two to bicker about who truly won as they made their way up.

Once you started to get braver, you got a running head start going down on your belly. Ace tried following your lead but with a much terrible result. He completely missed hitting the sled and instead, he scorpioned* right into the snow.

*For those who don't know it's when you face plant so hard your feet come up and tap the back of your head

He continued to slide down the hill on his belly, keeping his limbs spread to slow himself down until he arrived at the bottom. There was the occasional pause in between all the chaos to relax and enjoy some hot cocoa.

You sat rather close to Malleus as you took a sip before offering it back to him. He gladly accepted it enjoying touching the plastic where your lips just were.

Nothing of importance happened until you decided to share a sled with Malleus.

You were upfront with the fae behind you, leaning against you. His arms were by your sides taking a hold of the leash as well.

"Ready?" He asked.

"Ready!" You nodded.

He pushed you off giving a good shove. Sure enough, with your both combined weights, you picked up a lot of speed. The air was like a high pitch howl as it wiped past your ears, you could feel your hat leaving your head.

You thought nothing of it until you arrived at the flat area, but you weren't slowing down at all. If anything you were going faster, heading straight to the lake.

In an attempt, you stuck out your feet but there was a very thick layer of ice over the snow, causing your feet to bounce off.

The sled spun out of control.

You could feel Malleus wrap his arms around you to shield you.

"Wakasama!" Sebek called.

"Malleus!" Lilia shrieked.

He outstretched his hand but you were too far away for him to use his magic.

"Let go!" You shrieked.

You released your hold on the leash and Malleus followed allowing you two to fly off.

Instead of soft fluffy snow, it was pure ice.

You were sure you could feel a rib or two break as you slammed onto the ice and continued to skid. Malleus let out a harsh grunt beside your ear taking the brunt of the blow.

You reached the lake at this point and were sliding on the layer of ice. His arms loosened around you sending you sliding away from him.

"Tsuntarou!" You called.

The gloves made it harder to grip the completely smooth surface until all the momentum finally ended. When you opened your eyes you scanned for Malleus calling him.

He was knocked unconscious, further in the middle of the lake having more mass than you.

Shit.

"Tsuntarou! Wake up!" You called.

You moved and heard the worst possible noise for your situation.

A crack.

You glanced down and saw the ice below you was crackling. You could hear your name being called and saw your friends were sliding down the hill, but they were still too far away.

You shifted your attention to Malleus who was still unconscious, you could see cracks beneath him.

Shit.

You had to assess the situation like an author to their story; what would cause the desired ending?

Malleus had the short end of the stick; unconscious and in the deeper end of the pond with the ice cracking faster than yours.

There was a large branch just a couple of feet away from you.

Waiting for the others wasn't an option, they were much too far away, the ice was cracking fast, and with the ice, they would be sliding all over the place.

There was no way they could help you or Malleus without risking themselves as well.

You could carefully crawl your way back to the land, the ice seemed to be thicker closer to the shallow shore, but that would mean you would leave Malleus to fall in and most likely drown.

You could take the branch and crawl to Malleus. You could wake him up with the stick without risking pooling your weight, or you could hook onto his clothing with it and pull him to safety.

It was a risk, but it was the only way you could save Malleus and yourself. You shifted your weight outstretching your arm to grab the large stick. You could feel freezing cold water on your knees.

You carefully and slowly army crawled across the ice, ignoring the other's frantic calls for you to stop. You arrived close enough to him you could see the ice sinking slowly, the water up to his knees.

"Tsuntarou! Tsuntarou!" You shrieked at the top of your lungs.

You had to be quick.

"Tsuntarou!"

You could see his face twitch before his eyes slowly opened.

"(Name)...?"

The cracking got louder.

Shit!

"Tsuntarou! Grab onto the other end!" You called.

Malleus seemed to be dazed as his hand firmly gripped the branch.

With the adrenaline rushing through your muscles you were able to pull him completely out of the ice.

You crawled further until you were just a few feet away from him. The cracking got louder as you rose to your knees.

You grabbed onto Malleus's hood and tugged with all your strength throwing him across the ice.

"(Name)!" He cried.

He slid across until he arrived at a much more stable area near the shallows. His knights slipped and slide as they ran over to the shore calling for Malleus to crawl just further enough for them to reach him.

Ace and Deuce were calling for you to get your attention to hurry back to shore.

You smiled in relief.

A loud crack was the only warning before you felt yourself submerge.

It was cold.

The water was very, very cold.

You were struggling to swim, but your winter clothing may as well have been heavyweights tied to your ankles. You ripped off your gloves and scarf but you couldn't kick off your boots, they were tied too tight.

You managed to breach just long enough for a breath, scrambling to grab onto the ice. Your name was being screamed with urgency and panic. The ice in your grip only broke off sinking you back into the freezing hell.

You scratched at your coat undoing the velcro, scrambling to find the zipper.

You were losing oxygen fast and it was getting harder to keep your eyes open as the water stung. At last, you found the zipper and yanked it down until you could free yourself from it.

You were going numb.

There was a gloved hand that pressed itself into the water.

With one last good push, you used the last of your oxygen to push yourself to the hand. They grabbed onto your wrist and pulled...

"Quick! Pull her boots off!"

"Is she going to be okay?!"

"Her lips are blue. I don't think she's breathing!"

"I have to do CPR. Her heart has stopped."...

The last place you expected to wake up in was a bed in Night Raven's ICU.

You were expecting more like a coffin or a death bed.

Were you dead?

Your swollen eyes slowly opened feeling something hard and very warm holding you to them.

"(Name)! She's awake!" You could hear a voice call.

"Is my Minion alright?"

Your sluggish brain failed to recognize who it was speaking to. Faces were surrounding you but they were all blurry and hazy. A hand that was gently holding a warm compress to your neck. When you glanced up you saw it was Malleus carefully holding you as if you were glass.

Through your blur, you were able to see he was smiling down at you in a calmly happy sort of way. You couldn't help but rest your head on his chest trying to absorb his inhuman amount of heat. He was so warm you felt like a chickling in an incubator.

Malleus pulled a blanket up to wrap around your shoulders from where it had pooled down at your hips with your shifting. You tensed realizing you could feel the wool of the blanket against your bare back.

Where was your top? Where were your clothes? Why was Malleus...was he naked too?

Malleus mistook it as you were cold and pressed the cooling compress to the top of your spine.

"Puppy, do you remember what happened?" A voice asked.

"Sledding," You answered hoarsely, "And...I fell through the ice."

"Good pup, good. Stay awake now," The man muttered.

It must be Mr. Crewel

"She's no longer blue, but she is still quite colorless." A voice said.

"Why does Malleus have to be the one to hold her?" Another asked.

"Malleus is a fae, he can produce more body heat than humans. To warm up safely, she must have shared body heat." The third voice explained.

"(Name), do you feel warmer?" A smooth, deep voice asked above you. You could feel the vibrations of Malleus's voice through his smooth chest.

You nodded, your cheeks unable to warm enough to even send blood to blush. You felt the blanket lift and whimpered at the rush of cold air at your feet.

"Your toes are thankfully no longer a shade of purple, do you feel anything in them?" Mr. Crewel questioned. You felt him pinch your toes and you nodded.

"Just a numbness then, the frostbite isn't severe."

You felt a gloves hand and a bare hand grope around your legs.

"Can you feel my hands?"

You nodded.

"The blood is moving then, very good; you are a strong one." Divus flipped the blanket back onto your legs and feet.

A hand gently shook you awake, yet you didn't realize you had fallen asleep.

"We can't afford you falling asleep, we need to keep you awake to monitor you," Malleus said beside your ear.

You cracked open your sleepy eyes.

Lilia was sitting very close to the bed allowing you to recognize him easily. He was grinning, but the two knights behind him were displeased and uncomfortable about you cuddling their Wakasama nude.

On the other side of the bed were Ace and Deuce with Grimm on the heart suit's lap who for once wasn't teasing you or each other. The Heartslaybul boys were uncharacteristically silent giving you worried stares chewing on your lips or fingers. Grimm was sobbing but you couldn't tell if it was from happiness you were alive or remorse from you dying for several minutes.

Your main focus was on Ace who looked guilty, his arms tucked into his stomach, looking anywhere but you. There was a brush of gauze against your upper arm gaining your attention; Malleus's lower arm was wrapped in bandaging.

"Malleus...you okay?" You wheezed out.

It wasn't hard to breathe, it just felt like talking took all the strength out of you.

"You do not have to worry about me, I made it back to land safely--you were the one who drowned in the ice water."

There was a clicking of shoes and your eyes traveled to Divus with clothing draped over his arm.

"There is no longer a complete need to huddle, she's warm enough to wear clothing to aid her body further," Divus announced.

Malleus nodded and pulled you away to wrap you in the blanket like it was a shawl. He stood from the bed revealing that he did at least have boxers on—thank god. Lilia handed him his pants and he nonchalantly slipped them on then and there. Divus set the clothes down on the bed beside you

"Let's discuss outside to give her privacy," Divus ordered.

The guys nodded and Malleus gave you a worried look as he slipped on his collared shirt.

"Will you be fine dressing by yourself?" Lilia asked, politely.

"I'll be fine." You nodded.

"Do not try to stand up pup, there's a good chance you might collapse." Divus reminded.

Ace gave you a glance for the first time before leading the way out. It was hard but you managed to slither your leggings up your legs. It was like getting into skinny jeans in the morning after you just woke up but you didn't want to get out of bed. The only issue was you were shivering so much it was harder. Your cold, numb fingers weren't very nimble, and struggled with hooking the straps of your bra.

At last, you slipped on the socks but you still felt rather chilly. You waited for a couple of minutes for them to return but soon you grew impatient from your fatigue. You wrapped the blanket around you before placing your feet on the floor. The second you applied pressure a sharp pain traveled through your toes when you pressed them to the floor, but you wanted to go see them. You avoided the pain by walking on the backs of your feet and gripping onto anything stable enough to support you.

Your legs trembled violently but you had gone so far the door was closer than your bed. At last, you arrived at the entrance where Mr. Crewel was explaining recovery plans.

"I still recommend to continue to warm them, but in gentle ways. Not direct, intense heat. Their toes are still a bit cold so they would probably experience pain walking. I would recommend soaking their feet in warm water--not hot."

The door creaked open as you stumbled out.

"Pup! What are you doing standing?" The teacher snapped.

"I just wanted to..." You honestly didn't have a very good reason other than you were impatient.

Malleus pulled you to him just seconds before your legs collapsed beneath you. Your breathing was shuddering along with your body from how violently shivering you were.

"Don't be so dumb--you're in no shape to wander! You will rest in bed for a couple of days--no strenuous work. This especially includes sledding," Divus ordered.

"We will make sure she rests up!" Lilia nodded, his voice just as stern, "She should be safer at the Diasomnia Dormitories than her own."

Divus nodded, "Make it so. Howl for me if she worsens and obeys my recommendations."

The teacher gave you an almost empathetic gaze. "Do get well soon (Name), I cannot afford one of my puppies to become ill."

That was the most empathy anyone was going to get out of Mr. Crewel.

Lilia beamed at you, "Bundle her up and let's get going then..."

Glorious Masquerade - Episode 1

Following is a summarized translation of Episode 1 of the Glorious Masquerade event from Twisted Wonderland. Spoilers below the cut!

Please note: A new character is introduced in this event, and the official English translation of his name has not yet been provided. I am going to translate his name as “Rollo Flamme” for now.

The episode begins with the toll of a bell. In a soft voice, a narrator says:

“Can you hear the bell?

As loud as thunder, as soft as a whisper.

The Bell of Salvation.

Let me tell you a story.

The story of a monster that lived in the City of Flowers...”

The scene then transitions, and we see a fireplace lighting up a shadowy room. Talking to himself, a tired-looking boy says, “Soon, soon I’ll be able to eradicate those wretched fools. And then, we shall be free. With my own two hands, I will bring peace to this world.” As he laughs, someone at the door announces that the students from Night Raven College have arrived.

The boy clears his throat and says he will be right there, and continues muttering to himself after the other person leaves. The boy says he has been looking forward to this moment. With a scheming smile, he says, “You wait right there for me... Malleus Draconia!”

The scene changes again, and we are in a lecture hall at Night Raven College. Crowley has called all the students together for an assembly and announces they've been invited by Noble Bell College to an exchange event held in the City of Flowers, located in the land of pyroxene. Noble Bell College, like Night Raven College, is a school for young mages, though it is quite smaller than NRC. There will be a festival and a ball at the event, and 10 students will be selected by lottery to attend.

The lottery winners are Riddle, Deuce, Ruggie, Azul, Jamil, Epel, Rook, Silver, and Sebek. We then see how the students are preparing for the trip, starting with the Heartslabyul dorm.

Ace laments he wasn't chosen to attend, as he considers himself a much better representative of NRC than Deuce. Trey asks if they are all packed and reminds them to bring their toothbrushes. Deuce says this is the 7th time he's checked that they've packed their toothbrushes ://

Over at Savanaclaw, Ruggie tells Jack he’s going to bring an extra-large suitcase so he has plenty of space to pack in non-perishable foods and cheap trinkets that he'll buy while he's away. He plans to hawk them for a profit when he gets back. Leona tells him he better only bring back stuff he got through the proper means (i.e. by not stealing), and he and Jack tell him to have a good time.

At Monstro Lounge, Floyd is stomping around and throwing stuff, pissed off that only Azul gets to go. Jade comes in and delivers the business cards that Azul had ordered. He plans to hand them out and make connections at the event. Jade politely asks if he can accompany Floyd in his tantrum and Azul is fine with it at first, but changes his mind after Floyd suggests they should trash the lounge while Azul is gone.

Azul asks them to please work earnestly while he is away, and in return he will bring back lots of interesting stories for them from the trip.

At Scarabia, Jamil is listing off for Kalim where all of Kalim's medicines, towels, blankets, extra soap, etc. are. Jamil is worried about leaving Kalim alone for three days. Kalim tells him not to worry, since he's got all the other dorm students with him.

Jamil relents, as he did supply all the dorm students with manuals on how to deal with unforeseen circumstances during his absence. He is also looking forward to visiting a town he's never been to. Before he leaves, he starts going over again where all the towels, blankets, etc. are

At Pomefiore, Vil checks with Epel that he is properly packed. Vil warns him that Epel is not only a representative of NRC, he also represents the Pomefiore dorm. So he better behave, dress properly, and keep up with his skincare while he's gone.

Rook tells Vil not to worry, as he will be sure to look after Epel on the trip. Rook presents Vil with some flowers, and says he shall surely return by the time they have bloomed. He asks Vil to please not forget him while they're gone.

Vil is like, it's only a 3 day trip how long do you intend to be gone for 😑 Vil asks them again to please be careful, and Epel says they'll be fine. Vil doesn't want Epel to embarrass himself at the ball, and prepares to give Epel a dance lesson on the spot. Rook joins in, of course.

At Ignihyde, Idia is worried about the exchange event. He's done lotteries before, to win merch and stuff, and this is the first time he's sad about winning one lol. He wishes Ortho could come with him.

Ortho makes Idia promise him that someday, he will take Ortho with him to the city of flowers and Idia will show him around the city and be his guide. He tells Idia to imagine the trip as practice for when they go together someday. Idia agrees, but then gets in a tizzy repeating to himself over and over again that this isn't an exchange event, he's just going on a trip.

At Diasomnia, Sebek and Silver are sad they are going alone without Lilia or Malleus. Lilia tells them not to worry, as he's done plenty of traveling already. Malleus also wants them to enjoy themselves. Crowley appears and announces that Malleus has been especially invited by Noble Bell College to attend the exchange event.

He is happy to hear he's been invited, and readily agrees to come. He tells Lilia they will be sure to come back with a mountain of souvenirs for him. Lilia is excited for him and knows this will be a great experience for him.

Malleus wonders what he should prepare for the Noble Bell College students in order to show his thanks for their invitation...

The day of their departure arrives, and everyone is gathered in the hall of mirrors. Trein will be accompanying as a guide/chaperone. Grim and Yuu are also coming after Grim successfully convinced Crowley to let them go (he just whined about it until Crowley caved).

Trein regrettably must leave his dear Lucius behind, as he doesn't want to risk his health by bringing him along. Crewel will be taking care of Lucius while Trein is gone. Trein tells Lucius not to listen to anything Crewel says.

They step through the mirror and arrive in the lecture hall at NBC. Rollo comes to welcome them. Riddle notes that unlike NRC, the student council board at NBC seems to operate autonomously. Rollo confirms that they’re pretty much the school's representatives, and they also have a VP and an advisor.

They go wait in the courtyard while everyone's luggage is brought to their rooms. While talking with Rollo, they learn he's a 3rd year.

Azul goes to introduce himself, but Rollo reveals he already knows all their names, their dorms, and what countries they hail from. It turns out Crowley provided that info to Rollo before they came, much to their shock (and disgust).

After their introductions, Rollo takes them on a tour around the campus. The NRC students are amazed at how squeaky clean everything is. Rollo says their school believes in integrity and purity.

They come to a statue of a man on horseback, the "righteous judge". He is one of the great mages in history, comparable to the great 7. He was a judge that lived in the City of Flowers. He was very fair, and always delivered the proper judgement. He is said to have brought peace to the town when it was taken over by scoundrels. Rollo says the students strive to be as fair and upright as he was.

Just then, a bell rings. Rollo says it was the "bell of salvation", a sacred magical device only found in their school.

Trein explains that like NRC, other magic schools usually have a sacred magical object that is unique to their school, comparable to NRC's mirror of darkness. Trein says it's been a while since he last heard the bell of salvation toll. Trein reveals he came to this town on his honeymoon long ago

Rollo asks if they wish to see the bell up close, and they head up the bell tower. Azul and Idia huff and puff as they ascend the stairs, getting covered in sweat along the way. Jamil laughs at how much of a sorry sight they are.

They finally reach the bell, and everyone is amazed how big it is. It's a shining gold color, maybe even made out of pure gold. Trein is at a loss for words. he says this will be a great story to tell his wife when he sees her again someday.

Rollo says the bell isn't just only beautiful, it's imbued with magic. When the bell tolls, its magic is diffused throughout the town, thus protecting the townspeople. Rollo explains long ago, when the town was threatened by calamity, the bell is said to have saved everyone.

Rollo says that various magical plants grow in the City of Flowers. The magic dispensed from the bell helps the plants grow rapidly, but the plants perish when removed from the town. The town has a scenery unlike any other in the world because of it.

While looking around, Silver spots a gargoyle. Silver and Sebek rejoice, as they know Malleus will be so excited to see it. Sebek calls Malleus over, and Malleus... frowns. Malleus explains it's just a grotesque, not a gargoyle. It's just sitting there for decoration, in other words.

Azul notices the grotesque's mouth is filled with grass. It's a bird's nest. Silver asks the birds to please excuse them so they can take a look inside. The birds consent and Silver looks inside and sees that it's hollow. Sebek sees there's a path connecting the mouth to the back.

Malleus realizes this is indeed a gargoyle. The path Silver and Sebek found was for rain water to be drained out. He asks the gargoyle to please excuse his rude comments from before. He says it's a splendid gargoyle with a charming face, and wonders why it's been left here.

Malleus thanks Silver and Sebek for showing him the gargoyle. Just then, Azul thinks he sees the gargoyle moving. But when he asks the others, they say they didn’t see it move and scoff at him. Malleus thinks Azul is just tired. Azul says he also can't believe what he just said, and asks them to please forget it.

Rollo comes up an announces it’s time for them to explore the town. Another NBC student appears and says they have prepared gifts for the NRC students. It's special clothing for the festival.

Everyone goes downstairs and gets changed. Some have their complaints, but they are more or less pleased with the new outfits.

Malleus notices that only Silver and Sebek were given outfits that form a pair. Silver says they specially requested such outfits so that when lined up next to Malleus as his guards, they would look resplendent together.

Malleus thinks they look great, and asks Yuu to take a picture of Sebek and Silver in their outfits and send it to Lilia, as his own cell phone is broken. He can already imagine how happy Lilia will be to see them. 😊

Malleus is happy they were able to find a great gift for Lilia so quickly.

Now that everyone has gotten changed, it's time for the students to go explore the town. Rollo excuses himself, as he must finish up preparations for the students from the other schools that will be attending Rollo says he will go into the town and check on them later once he is done. The students are split up into three groups:

group A: Epel, Azul, Deuce

star team: Silver, Ruggie, Rook, Idia

group 1: Sebek, Malleus, Jamil, Riddle

Grim and Yuu are going with Trein.

Another NBC student says they will be having a show tonight at the festival grounds, and invites the NRC students to come. Rollo mutters to himself that he’ll have even less time, then.... Trein warns the students to be on their best behavior, and everyone departs.

Malleus and Lilia x Frail and Abused Reader Part 4

“Huh?!! What do mean you told them we’re changing our whole menu?!” said Azul outraged.

“She didn’t say that, I did,” said (Y/B/F).

“Regardless, this means we have to do a lot of work rewriting the menu and buying new ingredients,” said Jade.

“Little Shrimp, was just supposed to go out there and say we don’t cook prime rib here, because that’s way too expensive meat. Now you went and made things even worse,” said Floyd, annoyed.

“Both Floyd and Jade are right. How do you plan to make up for this, (Y/N)?” asked Azul.

“It’s all based around how we put the menu together, and I have a plan,” you said.

“For your sake it better work,” sighed Azul.

You were now walking back to Ramshackle Dorm with (Y/B/F) and told him your plan. He smiled at you believing your plan was genius.

Three weeks passed and you managed to save your job and yourself from the angry crowd. Mostro Lounge has more customers than ever and Azul is very pleased by this.

You saved your own skin by doing research based on the dorms and which countries where they’re originally from. For example you had Jamil and Kalim teach you over thirty curry recipes from the Land of Hot Sands and added them to the new menu. You also added a few recipes of your own so fellow students can get a taste of yours and (Y/B/F)’a home.

Every three weeks students can vote on a certain meal on the menu to have at the party in Mostro Lounge at a slight discount meal. Azul likes this idea so much that he makes students pay to vote, which wasn’t what you wanted. However you were happy that students would be able to let off steam from school.

“This is amazing! I’ve never seen so many customers here before!” said Azul happily.

You were wiping down the counter humming happily as the party went on and all the students were cheering, dancing, and eating.

“Yes. It looks like (Y/N)’s blunder turned out to be good in the end,” said Jade.

“Yeah, but I really wanted to see some fireworks go off when Little Shrimp failed,” sighed Floyd.

You sighed and gave a small smile at Floyd’s normal behavior. They all went back to doing their own things. You went back to wiping the counter when you heard someone walk up to the counter.

“Is there something I can help you with-” you said, but immediately froze.

It was Silver and Sebek. Your heart started to pump super hard and fast.

“Is it true that your new menu has food from the Valley of Thorns?” asked Silver.

You looked down at the counter and began to tremble. One of your co workers overheard Silver and answered his question. You quickly took this chance to leave and take care of dirty dishes on tables.

“Hey, are you okay?” asked Deuce.

“You look like you saw a giant fish with legs,” said Grim.

“We saw that Silver and Sebek are here. Do you want us to stay until your shift is over?” asked Ace.

“No, I’ll be fine. To be honest I can’t believe that they voted and came to the party,” you nervously laughed.

“Just be careful. (Y/B/F) told us to give you your medications for your blood pressure. He’ll be by later,” said Deuce.

“Thanks,” you said, feeling better.

The rest of your shift went well and was almost completely over. You were just very disappointed that (Y/B/F) isn’t here like he always is for your shifts.

You were now grabbing the last of the dirty dishes on one table before you leave. You were about to walk back to the counter when you turned around and saw Silver and Sebek. You almost dropped all of the dishes.

“We demand to know why don’t you talk with to us?!!” shouted Sebek.

You flinched and started shaking like crazy.

“What’s wrong with you?” asked Silver, rudely.

You were about to piss yourself as they glared. You tried to walk passed them, but that got them even angrier.

“Where do you think you’re going!?!” shouted Sebek, even louder.

He was even louder than the music and everyone started watching the scene unfold.

“I have to go back to work,” you squeaked.

You tried to run, but they wouldn’t let you. When you tried to run that’s when it all went to hell.

RIP!!!

Silver and Sebek grabbed the back of your uniform and it ripped showing your whole bare back. You released an ear piercing scream and dropping all the dishes which broke on the floor. You fell to your knees, crying and hugged yourself.

“What do you think you’re doing?!!” shouted Deuce.

He ran over to you with Ace in tow. They stood in front of you protectively.

“You really are a girl!!” shouted Sebek.

“Of course she is!! Why else would she wear the uniform you tore!!” shouted Deuce furious.

“We... um...” said Silver, agasped.

“What’s going on here?” asked Azul, walking towards us with Floyd and Jade following

The three of them were shocked to see me like this on the floor. Their shock then turned into anger.

“I’m sorry, but this is a place for gentlemen. If you can’t behave yourselves and respect our workers I’m afraid I must ask you to leave,” said Azul.

“I’m sorry, but we can’t have you ruining our work environment,” said Jade calmly, but it was easy to see he was angry.

“You have some nerve coming here ruining our party and messing with Little Shrimp,” said Floyd angry.

“You’re wrong! We just-” said Silver trying to walk closer to you.

You immediately brought your hands to your face, but something felt wrong. You started coughing like crazy into your hands to see blood. All of a sudden your heart started going crazy beating and you couldn’t breathe. You then collapsed onto the ground.

“(Y/N)!!!” shouted all your friends before everything.

When you woke you were in the infirmary all alone. You had tubes in your arm connected to an IV and an EKG. You noticed that you were out of your maid uniform and were in a hospital gown. You looked around and saw no one, but you were surrounded by tons of gifts. You suddenly heard a creaking sound of a door opening and (Y/B/F) came out.

“(Y/N)!!!” shouted (Y/B/F), sprinting over to you.

He hugged and began crying all over you.

“What happened?” you asked.

Your throat hurted.

“You had a heart attack that went along with your serious heart ache. Also when you screamed your throat started bleeding,” he said.

He handed you a nice hot mug of milk with honey for your throat. You’ve been unconscious for three days and the whole school was talking about you. You looked down at your blankets sad that you caused an up stir.

here's season 1 with all the necesarry notes :3

And now on season 2:

Following the direct continuation after Halloween, our first year group is in a bit of a hitch.

They had no fucking idea what happened to Mandor. They still were under supervision and still unable to leave the school grounds.

These dumbasses bearly started training with Trein and it was HELL

Mid-term exams were coming and like hell any of them actually wanted to do them.

Now we follow more Sebek. Sebek did get to go and congratulate Silver on his 'heroic moment' because he heard around from other people. Malleus and Lilia aslo congratulated Silver on saving the ball, although there is a few comments towards how Sebek could learn a lot from Silver.

Unsurprisingly, Sebek takes them a bit hard, given his current position as a misfit.

He doesn't really share about the comments with the rest of the group, but they figure on their own that something must've upset Sebek. Because now Sebek was drowning himself in work, trying his utter best to Excell in every academic, which in turn resulted in a bit of a poor skill to the secret training.

Trein also notices this, so he does approach Sebek about it. As the lightning fairy, he tends to speed up through things and not look once back. Sebek is a bit at loss, but doesn't yeld yet.

For the others tho, they decide to pursue more ways to find more about prince Mandor. So far, he was the prince of the land of dawn, also names as land of heroes, a kingdom well known for it's advanced ways in fighting without magic as well as the place where the 'magilocks' were invented.

Magilocks were magical objects meant to capture very powerful amounts of magic. From magical objects to even fairies and witches who posed as a ginormous threat to the magical universe.

It was clear that their enemy was searching for another way to gain more power.

So Trein gives them their first assignment: pursue the tree of life from the Gloomy Woods Forest. The tree itself holds count of the balance in between light and dark magic. They could use it's help to pinpoint more about prince Mangor's location.

They all look at Epel tho. :'3

The problem was how could they even get there. The tree of life was on a whole other planet. They needed not only to get off the school perimeter and not get caught... They also need to pass on the magic border. Then again, they were clearly down to breaking the rules... What's a minor intergalactic law, am I right? >:3c

Trein assures them that their answer is already in their hands. They have to just find it. Even so, he still lets them use the library book arsenal how they please.

Trein seems to regret his decision almost immediately, since these guys immediately split up and none knew where each section was, which was painfully made aware when they tried so hard to look like they had any idea where they were looking.

FINALLY! Deuce and Jack approach Trein to ask for some pointers about the sections. And Trein points under the staircase at a detailed map about the sections available.

Ace tho, is the one that comes up with an idea, bringing up a book about magic artefacts. He found the zodiac blade in there, which has 12 spells, one which included creating portals. Deuce is very against the idea since he still cannot control it. Ace breaks it to him: how can he expect to control it if he doesn't try?

Deuce finally gives in and summons the zodiac blade. The blade itself was big, showing the night sky. The handle had 4 different circles spinning around in different directions. Deuce was a bit shakey, the blade circles aligning into the Leo one. According to the book, the leo cosntelation was meant to a very powerful attack.

So everyone decides to hold onto Deuce, assuring him that it's OK. Just a deep breath and concentrate. He tries his best and finally, the circles allign showing the cancer constellation. The blade makes a cut through air and opens a portal to the gloomy woods.

The problem was, they didn't know where tf in the woods it was.

But Deuce seemed happy, reassured even.

And on his clothes, a small broch manifested. Everyone is a bit curious, since it dissappeared quick, but Deuce said that it felt as if he had a new power.

Nonetheless, they went on their merry way through the woods, Epel on the lead as he was using his magic senses to feel around the earth.

It takes some time and they poked a bear and had to fight it, but they happened to stumble upon a pixie who seemed to be trying to sneak out of the bear's cave. Because the group fought the bear, the pixie managed to get out and it's very thankful.

The pixie introduces itself as Camelie, the pixie of knitting. And Camelie feels a strong bond with Jack. She explains that she must be his bonding pixie, hence why she is very excited that there are more fairies with Jack, which means their pixies have to be in the village.

They get sidetracked and help Camelie find the berries she was supposed to take to the village. :3

At the pixie village, Epel suddenly feels a surge of power that almost knocks him off his feet. He was tok concentrated on feeling the earth that when he came face to face with the tree of life, he was overwhelmed.

Thankfully Epel was alright after a few seconds. He also meets a quite jumpy pixie named Brosky, the frog pixie. Much like Jack and him, the others get to meet their bonding pixies too. Ortho's pixie is named Bishop, the chess pixie. Ace's pixie is the magician pixie, Harlow. Deuce had the pleasure of meeting Axel, the pixie of maps. And Sebek got himself the rocker pixie, Eleanor.

They do mention that they were looking for the tree of life. They need to pinpoint where someone is. They are on a very important mission.

The pixies do let them see the tree of life, Epel being the one who tries to connect to it as the fairy of earth. And to help, Brosky also tried to help Epel via using their bonding. It was quite weak, but it helped fasten the process.

And Epel gives the verdict: Prince Mangor was in RSA still. As a dark magic user, Epel had a harder time finding him, but finally he got a grasp, even if now he was tired.

So tired that he immediately fell off his feet and the others had to help him back up.

Epel didn't only feel the magic users, but he also felt some big energy. He couldn't pin-point it, but he knew that thing sensed him. This got the others a bit worried, but nonetheless, they had to get Epel back and let him rest.

Except that when they get back, they realise that their pixies followed them. They wanted to bond! And Deuce was also tired from using the blade. It was late and tomorrow they had school.

Trein seemed a bit worried when they reported to him about this, but he let them go and rest, especially Epel.

The next day, there were made right out the batch: the rules.

Pixies had to stay in the dorm. And under no circumstances let them be seen by others. Otherwise everyone will know they left the school grounds and so be punished.

And it was clear that things weren't that good. The classes were harder than usual and maybe because of the fact that they were dead tired that they had more worries on their head.

This gets the attention or Riddle surprisingly. The redhead did bring up how the first years were quite down lately. The other prefects had mixed opinions, knowing that they are dealing with the misfits. Idia does bring up that so far, they didn't do much.

Riddle figures that perhaps, since they did seem to study, they should receive some sort of reward. They worked very hard lately and their practic exercises showed that they are quite good at it. Kalim suggests that maybe they should convince Crowley to let them leave the campus again on free time. Vil said that they shouldn't go that far.

Riddle suggests that maybe they should give them something like a cake or something to remind them of taking a break. Idia, Ruggie and Kalim seemed to agree with this. Malleus was showing skeptisim surprisingly, even though Azul confronted him about it, because Sebek was close to him. Malleus just says that Sebek needs time to learn and not mingle with bad influences.

Nonetheless, Riddle, Idia, Ruggie and Kalim roll on with their little plan to surprise the first years with something sweet. Vil did say to check the food for Epel, but none of them really listen to it.

Meanwhile, the first years were a mess. Trein was quite surprised to see the absolute mess these 6 managed to conjure in a few hours after the classes ended. They acquired a whiteboard, which was filled up with photos, strings and scribbles. Notes and books were sctered on the floor and everyone was hanging like dead people. The pixies and Lucius didn't really get along, but occasionally they would team up to wake up the boys.

And to assure that they won't be caught snooping off, they installed a hidden alarm system that would tell them is someone was coming to their dorm.

And it so happened to go off. Waking up everyone and dragging them back to the dorms, Sebek mustered enough energy to get up and politely greet the prefects, who presented to them their little gift of 'you did well, you deserve a break'.

It was the famous cupcakes from the city's most popular bakery. Everyone loved them and so, they got for the first years a few of each, not exactly knowing who likes what flavor. Well... More like Kalim bought them. The other 3 told him to not get really a few out of every flavor.

Of course, the first years welcomed the free food (Ruggie wipes one proud tear), but, as expected, ask why the sudden gift. Kalim is just a sunshine and tells them that since Crowley forbid them to go out of the campus, they seemed to focus more on studies, and since there are some notable evolutions in tests and grades, they figured out that it would be fit to give them something. More like remind them to take a well deserved break.

And for once since they started the school year, the group gets one proper break. It feels like heaven descended upon them and they bearly touched the food, more like it was sinking in the fact that they actually had a break.

Noticing this, Riddle is the first to break the ice. It was obvious they had to be struggling with something, but even then, the 4 prefects assumed it were the classes. So naturally Riddle offered to tutor them or help them understand a lesson they are struggling with. They can't leave the school grounds, so there is literally nothing they could even do to enjoy NRC time like the other students, who always go to town after classes.

But the first years weighted their options. On one hand, they could use a senior's guidance, especially someone like Riddle, the top of his class, but on the other hand, they were training now way above their year's curriculum. They couldn't let anyone else catch on their gig.

And Ace took the initiative. He admitted that at the moment, they study because they are bored. They played multiple times every boardgame they own, they did all kinds of things and seriously nothing priquired their interest anymore, so they just hit the books. And to see that others finally are aware of their hard work really is very rewarding as it is. So Ace admits that maybe he judged a bit harsh the others... Some prefects are actually nice.

And without any of the prefects noticing(Ace was covering his chest), a small broch appeared for a few seconds and Ace did feel like he gained some more energy.

Ruggie does clear it out that this is always the first impression on the prefects. Some are truly assholes, but then you have Kalim, this guy who's heart doesn't even let him be mean on an ant.

Sebek tho, does ask about Malleus. He figured he must've been quite busy to not come and enjoy some cupcakes with all of them. The other 4 prefects don't really say anything, just awkwardly confirming it that Malleus had some work to do. Especially as a 3rd year, who is yet to gain his enchantix.

Epel does ask what the hell is this enchantix that it needs to be gained on the 3rd year. Kalim explains that enchantix is the final form of a fairy, the gateway to more transformations with different perks. Enchantix is basically the most powerful form a fairy can have and by gaining it, you lose your base form forever. Hence why the 3rd years have to pursue it. Because they trained in their base form and are proficient enough to pursue a higher level of power.

Riddle says that Idia is probably the earliest enchantix I'm the history of NRC. He gained it over the summer break after all. Idia himself doesn't seem that proud of it, but that excuses him from the extra courses, so he doesn't really complain about it.

As for how the years work, Riddle explains that throughout the years, the students need to pursue a certain level of knowledge over their powers. First year is getting used to the base form and what it grants. The second year has you focus more on oneself and gaining charmix, which signals you as half-way to enchantix. Third year has you pursue enchantix, so in the 4th year you are training with it and learning to be a guardian fairy.

Really, our group internally sweat when they realise that they can't possibly speedrun the NRC years without gaining some unwanted attention. If Idia was known already to be the earliest enchantix, it meant that if they were to even get remotely close to enchantix, everyone will know, including Prince Mangor and whoever is helping him out.

Kalim tho, reassures that everything will go at it's own pace. Even late bloomers like him can keep up. So he advises the group to relax a bit more and not rush into things.

The little visit ended on mixed feelings. On one hand, the 4 prefects found it as a success, but on the other side, the first years were in an absolute panic. If prince Mangor got again gloomix, they had to get charmix to be on par, but they cannot possibly pursue it because of year goals, which would basically give away their plans and screw everything up. But at the same time they had bonded with pixies and already Deuce and Ace seemed to have gained somehow charmix, which really... They are in it now and there's no possible way back.

So they return to the library, in search for a safety net for the power imbalance. Trein suggest to them to look into the magi-locks.

And our group discovers just how a magi-lock is done: an object forged out of a special spell resistant metal, called the forever young iron, blessed with intricate spells of both light and dark magic and then using a mirror stone melted inside to make a core. This explains a lot about how they can make one. And so, they decide to do it. If they create a magi-lock, they could use it to store away their higher powers and so, act like normal students until it is needed for them.

Trein tho, suggests to use the magi-lock to capture their enemy's magic. If they do it, the prince will have no other option than to either give up or seek back the source of them again, which would lead the group to figuring out everything behind those dark powers.

So that's their plan.

Trein also gives them books on where they could find the ingredients for what they needed. Sebek takes the initiative and declared that whatever happens, they will stuck together and defeat this threat. Nothing will hinder them down.

And Sebek also admits that maybe, it was time he leaves aside his worries about Malleus. He didn't even want to visit him, so Sebek will work more on this team and himself now. Just like the prefects told them: they need a break. A break from their personal troubles that hinder them down.

The group seems very fired up by the speech, but at the same time, they are surprised to see the small broch that appeared for a split second on Sebek too. Now half of them earned charmix and it was clear they had to make that damn magilock faster.

The forever young iron was found in the abandoned mines from the storybook forest, here in twisted wonderland. On the same level, the mirror stones were stones that were found on the sunlight river, in the scalding sands.

As for the spells needed, Ortho offered for the witch spell, although it was a bit above his level, if maybe he trains with it a bit more he could do it. For the other spell, Ace was desemned, mostly for his quick memorising power.

Even so, the group knew that Ortho needed more power for that spell. And fortunately for them, they had just the thing. They just needed to know how to fix what they initially broke. That's all. :'3

Their bonding pixies also decided to help. And they were a great help too. From small things to even boosting their spells for a bit, when they confronted with the dangers of the cave and the river.

Although, none of them really knew what that inky cave monster was. Ortho did say that it was a blot monster, a creature born out of unattended magic used with malicious intent. He knew this because he researched into them years prior. And no one decided to question him further.

Meanwhile, Deuce also was getting more better at his zodiac blade wielding. He found out that he could use only 4 out of 12 spells for now: cancer(the portals), leo(the powerful one hit K.O.), taurus(shield) and virgo(creates a short lived illusion).

They used the blade to travel wherever they needed. Axel was a great help with all the maps too, so they always took the pixie with them to navigate around.

But on the other hand, Jack and Epel both worked at the gloomix stone they took from prince Mangor. Sure, it was shattered, but with Sebek's research, they found out a way to fix it. If they fix it, they could use Mangor's previous weapon against him, which would assure for them another advantage.

Their self imposed deadline was up until the winter holiday starts, so they really hurried, knowing that midterms always were right before the holiday itself. A lot of white nights and thanking whoever invented coffee, because right now our first years just found out how it feels to be an average working adult.

On the other hand, Epel had a small accident. It seemed like Mangor finally got some guts to come out again and summon back the monsters. And their first encounter with this was a sticky monster, which unfortunately got Sebek to have his hand stuck to Epel's hair. Cue a hair cutting machine and a whole night of looking through 'how to cut hair' before Epel told them to fuck it and give him an undercut or something.

The group again had to watch several 'how to make an undercut' tutorials. Even so, Jack unstuck Sebek(Epel finally felt the ✨waxing✨ experience) and ortho with Ace took the styling lead as Deuce and Jack tried to get rid of the glue charm.

In the end, Epel had some mixed feelings about his undercut, since if he let his hair down, it looked like nothing changed. The others do confront him about this change in hair, but in the end, Epel feels comfortable with it and even says that it looks so badass he feels already like he could fistfight that damn prince.

And indeed, Epel gains his charmix too, which leaves Jack and Ortho as the only 2 left without a powerup.

Jack does gain his too, mainly via standing against Vil, when he was nagging Epel about the undercut. It made things a bit sour in between them, but Jack felt like he had to speak his opinion and stand by what he deemed fair.

As for ortho, the rest of the group present to him the fixed gloomix stone. Ortho did have a few mixed feelings about it, but they needed that powerup to make the magi-lock and even Ortho admitted that the spell he had to do needed him to have much more power.

The gloomix stone fortunately takes the form of a forehead crown, which ortho easily hides with his firehair. Plus, as Epel and Ace dubbed it, it looks awesome.

Now to the forging, Jack's snow powers proved to be great, mainly in getting the iron to cool down in the shape they needed. Imbedding the mirror stone itself was harder, but in the end, with a convergence spell in between Ortho and Ace, they acquired a magilock in the form of a small box.

Their new problem arose when they tried it out. Not only it sucked out charmix, it took all the magic one had. Thankfully, they could return it back, but they realised the magi-lock was not going to help them with hiding from the students and teachers.

But what it could help them would be stealing Mangor's powers. Sebek insisted that they have to use it on Mangor and then they could finally make a significant step forward. The others seemed to agree, but for now, their only worry was the mid-term exams.

And first were the 3rd years. And their exams were tough. So were the 2nd years. The 1st years mid-terms are expected to be harsh as well.

But then again, they were the Requix squad. They already had charmix and were more than ready to woop some ass.

At the theoretical part, it was a bit harder than expected. Some mistakes were on purpose and some actually were legit mistakes, but that gave them a nice high score on the team, but not too high to raise suspicion.

As for the practical exam? Because they were petty and previously got in an argument with a few other groups, our team decided 'ya know, fuck it' and did a record time in finishing the course, placing them as the first group overall in the exams. Ya know, just to rub it in other's faces. >:3

And for that, Trein and the pixies do allow them to have a small celebration. It was just for one night, a small movie marathon, some dancing and fooling around and of course, snacks and soda. (Sebek got sprayed in the face when he opened a bottle pre-shaked by Ace)

Needless to say, despite everything, the group dropped to sleep early.

Except that the next day, the whole school woke up with a bang.

And not just any bang: a student apparently was attacked last night and their wings were cut off, meaning they lost their magic powers. It was a 2nd year nonetheless and also, from Silver's group. Everyone was shaked up and of course, the blame was thrown around because no one could sneak in the school without triggering the barriers(put since S1).

The blame finally seems to settle on our group, because those 6 stood in the school all this time and add to that the sudden spike in grades and how they had a flawless practical exam. Where did they even practice?

Besides, it was a very known fact that our first year group had some beef with a few other students, including the one who got their wings cut.

For now tho, no one could make solid accusation. No one had any kind of evidence of what happened or how it happened. They just knew that it happened and that it was a risk of it happening again.

So that meant a new set of rules. The prefects and 4th years will patrol in shifts at night. Everyone who leaves the campus will have to be checked when they leave and when they come back.

And the winter holiday was, of course, canceled. Everyone would stay in here and keep tabs on each other. They can't possibly leave the culprit out in the world.

So the group takes the matter to their dorm, talking it out with the pixies. Because of the checking on the dorms, they can't possibly sneak into the library and all stay there for hours. They needed a system, since the pixies couldn't go willy nilly in the library like the boys could.

So they come up with the next idea: the shower motives.

Everyone stood in the dorm and only 2 will go to the library. They will rotate via a system per hour and the other 4 will study in the dorm. If they are the majority, they could pass the inspection very easily. Just say one is in the shower and the other is changing clothes or something.

And so far, the system worked. They had a fair share of surprise inspections, but mainly it was Idia, who seemed to overlook some things such as the utter mess of notes and books or the fact that most of them are still in pijamas or half dressed up with the school uniform.

2 days after and another incident occurred. Again, it was another 2nd year, still a student that had previous beef with our group and again, they were attacked, no one seemed to hear their help cries and because of the ambush, they were vulnerable enough for their wings to be cut off too.

And now, more suspicion was built on the group from the other students. So much so that the group seemed to be left out or even avoided by the others.

Sebek did try to speak to Lilia, who was a teacher too, but Lilia was more preoccupied on caring to silver. After all, the first victim shared a room with none other than Silver, so for him it hit quite hard. Sebek really wanted at least a teacher's aid in the situation and he trusted Lilia, so to not receive any attention at all to the matter, it did sting a bit.

So Sebek took the steering if the group again in his hands. He accused Mangor for this. It was adding up. The weaker monsters were a diversion. Mangor surely wanted to get something out of cutting fairy wings. So they get their asses to research on the topic.

And they discover an old book. One about forbidden rituals. From killing dragons and using their remnants to gain maddening powers to the emperor's throne and wild magic. The reason they were forbidden was because not your average person could control them. They would mess up your mind and either kill you or turn you into a greedy creature that wants power above all.

But pages were missing. When asked about it, Trein reveals that before them, there were many who entered the library. One student of his in particular, was obsessed with this book. Trein tried to stop them when he realised what they wanted to do, but it was too late. The book's pages were scattered around twisted wonderland and Trein used his whole magic and body, becoming a spirit tied to the crystal ball, just so that he could banish to oblivion the said student.

The group theorise that it is a possibility that Mangor got his hands on one of the lost pages and so, they try to pinpoint more about fairy wings.

All they knew was that so far, fairy wings could make fairy dust, used to fly. Only in enchantix the fairy could actually use that fairy dust for spells and healing. If you cut a fairy's wings, via a special weapon, you could steal their powers, but for what exactly do you need multiple pairs? And how did Mangor get that weapon exactly.

Ortho brings up STIX. Unlike Kingdom of dawn or other countries on this planet, STIX was a non-governmental organisation, tasked with the mission of handling world ending level of threats. STIX had quite the arsenal of weapons and specialised guardians. From fairies to witches. Not to mention the cut-edge magic tech. STIX had weapons that could be used to cut a fairy's wings, that's no doubt. Even so, the art of forging them had to be taken from outside.

But why bring up STIX? No one could enter it. From the array of magical barriers to the fact that no one could even find its location to begin with. How would that even help them?

Ortho simply pulls out his phone and dials his mom's number. He had to tell his parents about the exams and all that after all. And his mother is very happy to hear from her younger son too. She mentioned that Idia also called, informing them about the situation at NRC. She does ask if everything is alright on Ortho's end, to which the younger makes a pause.

Then he admits that no. Things are not alright. The others do mimick to Ortho what to say and he of course dramatically says that everyone is scared of the incidents and they need to know at least how could one take a fairy's wings so fast and easy.

After the call ended, Ortho presented the group with good and bad news.

Good news! STIX was looking into it and of course, the only way of taking a fairy's wings so easy was through a magical weapon called the nightshade blade.

Bad news! STIX was looking into it, which means that not only they are under school personnel watch, they are also under the eye of a very powerful organisation that could immediately lock them up and say bye bye to their powers.

At the question on how Ortho knows about STIX actions nonetheless, he responds that he does have ties after all.

Nonetheless, their next library search was magic weapons. They had a name and so, finding a book about it was far more easier.

The nightshade blade was a blade that was hard to forge, being done by special blacksmiths who live in the mountains of piroxene. Epel recalls that his village has a blacksmith family. And the father of the current blacksmith was decorated with honors from the blacksmith society.

So they need to go there and meet up with the guy. Epel brings up that every year, there is a sled race, over which the blacksmith forges a special medal and hands it to the winner. The competition happened in groups of 4 and also during the winter holiday.

But how can they even go there? Let alone train for the sled race of only 2 are going to the library and the surprise inspections are still in full swing.

Sebek suggests that perhaps they should take their issue to a teacher. That was immediately ruled out, but Ace got a better idea.

What if they create a motive for their absence? Like a very heartfelt motive that can warm a teacher's heart enough to let them go for the winter holiday to Epel's place. Ace gives credit to Sebek for the idea of asking a teacher tho. If a teacher steps in, it could hold more water than if a prefect would be swayed their way.

Unbeknownst to them, a prefect actually heard them.

The next day tho, the group was summoned tot he headmaster's office, resulting in a very long 'walk of shame'.

And in there, Idia already was there, next to the headmaster, trying to look very stoic.

The headmaster informs that Idia was yesterday night on duty in their dorm aera. And he heard about Epel's woe that his grandma is very sick and his parents are out of town for their family business. Since they couldn't possibly forsake the family's only money income, but also because of the sick grandma, Crowley accepted for the 6 of them to go there as a group and take care of the house and grandma felimer, all under the supervision of Idia.

Really, the group thought that it was too good to be true.

And it was.

Because the second they were all out, Idia nags them that they are in very deep shit. He suspected that they hid something, but he didn't expect for the group to actually be investigating these incidents. And here he had hopes that maybe, maybe, they were good intentioned. He had hopes, man... Why crush them like that? :'3

Nonetheless, Idia figured that they wouldn't back down no matter what, because they are petty. (a collective sets of hey was received), so Idia indulges them in 1 little favor, then he wants for them to just stay out of trouble for fuck's sake. It was bearly half a year and these 6 managed to jump from trouble to trouble.

So before their departure, they take their new situation to Trein. Of course, the library spirit nags them for being so careless, but he advises that Idia is known to have influence. He is someone they should try to at least keep out of his bad side. At best, they could sway him into being an ally. At first, none of them really were warmed up to the idea of working with a prefect, but Trein nagged them again that allies came from everywhere and that they should take the opportunity. Every small perk can be an important advantage. The pixies had to go back to their village and warn their kind of what happened. Since bonded pixies could feel their fairy's pain and would grow weaker if the fairy loses their magic, they should warn the village to take more precautions in case the effects of the said attacks would feel in there too.

So here comes the Harveston visit. It was winter, so Sebek, Ace and Deuce were trembling a bit, not handling that well the cold. Meanwhile Jack was absolutely în his element with all the snow and cold temperature. Idia, Ortho and Epel all were used to cold weather so for them it wasn't that much of a bother.

Naturally, grandma Felimer wasn't sick, more than anything, she was so lively, one could say she was 20 again. She was very happy of Epel bringing here some friends and even happier when she heard that Epel will participate in the sled race.

Although the team was made out of Epel, Jack, Sebek and Deuce. The other 3 would stay and help around with other things.

But Marja does warn them that apparently the previous blacksmith was kidnapped a few months ago. Many speculate the poor old man was dead and his family mourns him deeply, so for this year, there won't be any medal.

The group does reassure Marja that even without medal, they will do their best and promised to win.

Despite the warm welcome from the village and everything, still in between the group and Idia is was a cold atmosphere. Idia did confront them about what exactly they are planning, but none wanted to spill the beans. Yet so far, the group didn't do much, rather enjoy Epel's village and train for the sled race(and deck Idia with snowballs, but that's something the latter won't mention).

Although, on the night before the race, Ace wakes up in a cold sweat. Sebek is the one who is additionally waken up and so, the 2 go a bit outside to talk about it.

Ace says that he had another vision. What set it apart from the others was that it was a lot of blood and panic. He could basically feel the desperation.

And he saw a dead body. Sebek asked who died, but Ace kept his mouth shut and looked the other way. Sebek didn't pry anymore and promised to Ace that no one will die on his watch. He knew that sometimes profecies are prevented and Sebek will do just that. It wasn't put in stone yet so there is still time to fix things.

Ace says that he appreciates the optimism, but that alone isn't going to save anyone.

On the race day, everyone was fussing around. Apparently RSA had a team in here too that participated.

Meanwhile, Idia seemed to run a bit late. But even so, he said he had some good news. So before the race was going to start, he gathered the group to tell them the said news.

He went to the blacksmith residence. And as the fairy of death, he felt if the man that went missing was truly in the afterlife. The good news were that he wasn't. The man was still alive, although Idia couldn't pinpoint the soul location. That was put of his power.

Ortho tho, seemed to perk at that. He could use his gloomix powers to pinpoint the soul in question, but he needed an object of sentimental value of the victim. Of course, he didn't say it with Idia around, but Epel just 'mentioned' that the missing blacksmith was the one who made the medal his grandma first won on her sled race. It was the very first medal that blacksmith made, therefore it was a great moment for the village and even he admitted that it was one of their proudest work, which is why they were so proud to hand it to Marja.

Marja Also recalls fondly that memory and hopes that they will find the missing man. Idia's news did bring hope for the group. For various reasons but no one really knew of that.

So while the sled group start the race, Ortho is the one that offers to bring from back to the felimer residence some things marja forgot. Ace stood with Idia and Marja too, while Ortho snuck in there, found the medal and used his gloomix powers to locate the soul in question.

It took a bit, but Ortho did return with the asked things and also a small little map, folded and stuck with magic at the bottom of a bottle of warm tea.

Thankfully, Epel, the leader of the group, took the bottle and found the secret message. The man they were looking for was at the top of the mountain. Ortho had to hurry and so he couldn't say exactly where, but he circled the aera. Thankfully it was on their way, so they could make a small detour.

Ace sure was growing a bit anxious as the night rolled in. Ortho figured that something must've happened, most likely a vision that had Ace so fidgety, so the 2 decided to tell Marja and Idia that they will wait at the finish line and get to Ace something to warm up. Idia still had to help Marja with aiding the competitors, which was clearly easy for someone who had already enchantix and a more varied arsenal of spells and control.

And Marja does have a heart to heart with Idia. She noticed how the latter was acting as if he walked on eggshells with the group. Idia admits that things seem to happen too fast and he is very worried for the safety of his brother. Marja too id worried for Epel's safety, but she knows that her grandson is a strong boy and he would push to the end no matter what.

She advises Idia to hold more trust in his brother and his friends. They are good boys, she saw many people at her age, so she knew if a person was truly ill intentioned or not.

And Idia finally seems to relax a bit and accept that yeah, they are good kids, sure they won't get in trouble.

Spoilers: they get into trouble :v

Because Idia sees Ortho and Ace rushing through the woods, hoping to not be seen, towards the mountain top. Idia really just felt a pit in his stomach, but he first got Marja back at the finish line and reassured that he will go and look for the teams that were left behind, in case someone had an accident or something.

Meanwhile, our group had their 2nd proper meeting with prince Mangor, this time holding the old blacksmith as hostage and having quite the arsenal of weapons. Of course, they engaged in battle, trying to save the hostage, but Mangor really enjoyed his new toys, which the sentiment really wasn't shared by the Requix squad.

In all that frenzy, Epel secures the safety of the blacksmith and asks the man if by chance, these weapons have a weak point. The man explains that the weak point is the handle itself, but knowing that the handle is literally holded by Mangor, they couldn't reach it with a spell that easy.

The blacksmith also warned them that Mangor isn't alone. He was forced to make weapons not by the prince, but by someone else. Mangor is just a pawn in all this, given power to just execute orders. Epel seemed to nod, but also he had to use his charmix power up to put up more the barriers.

Meanwhile, Sebek was also on defense, which really it wasn't his forte. But he promised to Ace that he won't allow anyone to pass away and he would fulfill that promise. Ace had time to summon on their way here the magilock box they created and so, he proposed to use it to capture Mangor inside.

Except that Idia arrives. And seeing the untransformed fairy, Mangor aims at him. In desperation, Ortho tries to get a grasp of his brother, but he's pushed aside by someone else.

That someone is Sebek, which unfortunately, the nightshade blade got stabbed in his stomach. With the power and adrenaline left, Sebek uses his lightning powers to drag both him and Mangor outside, getting both struck by lightning summoned by Sebek, weakening Mangor enough to let go of the weapon and Sebek to destroy it. Deuce used his blade to hold Mangor off as Ace locked the prince in the box, but already Sebek was too weak to even stand, collapsing on the ground.

And the group all swarmed him. Idia didn't have any healing spells, so he tried to converge his with Epel's healing to at least make it act more faster. Ace bawled that his prophecy was right and holded Sebek's hand, asking why the hell did Sebek even do such thing.

And Sebek, through weak sobs and fluttering eyes, admitted that he knew he had nothing to lose. He was made painfully aware that his wakasama, the one he served and Lilia, the one he was trained under, both gave all of their attention and energy towards Silver. He knew none of them would miss him, but he also knew that this group, this mission they had, was crucial for everyone. And that Idia was very important to Ortho. He had to step in. He promised to Ace that he won't allow any deaths to occur.

Unfortunately, Sebek smiled apologetically as with his last breath he said that he failed Ace.

But! As everyone in the group mourned him once Idia gave the verdict, instantly the oldest of them had to retract his words. He didn't feel Sebek's dead soul. He felt something pulling him out of the afterlife.

That something was enchantix. Sebek gained enchantix, which immediately had him wake up and gasp for air. His own fairy dust healed his wound and he was just like new, except very sparkly, with some big wings and far more powerful.

This was celebrated by a big group hug and everyone crying to Sebek to not sacrifice himself again, goddammit, they thought they were gonna lose his ass!

Although, after everything is calm, realisation sinks in. Sebek. Had. Enchantix. And Idia was aware of their power status.

Oh Trein is so gonna blow a casket.

They decide to first get the blacksmith back to his home. They came in last, but the whole village was cheering for them as they found and brought back the missing ex-blacksmith. Maybe the RSA won, but for the village, the true winners were our NRC gang.

And they were treated with a feast, dancing and singing.

For the night tho, Idia had to discuss with the group about what happened. It was only half a year of the school and already they all had charmix and Sebek had enchantix. While Idia had to congratulate them, he was bringing up the facts:

They fast evolution was worry some. They will basically paint a big target on their back if Mangor was truly just a pawn for whoever is orchestrating this. Not to mention their already bad reputation.

Alas, Idia promised to not say anything about this. This whole mess was kept under wraps for now and no one else should even know about it.

But at least, they could finally have a proper celebration: they defeated Mangor, they gained Idia as an ally and Sebek got enchantix. Which meant that they only will be more powerful and ready for whatever evil the one behind everything was sending their way.

And sure enough, the mastermind was quite amused with this. How this group of fledglings managed to defeat their pawn. Truly it took them a bit less, but that doesn't mean our misterious person doesn't look forward to what they have in store.

And that's where season 2 ends. We settled the actual big bad and we also got our first enchantix! :D

please keep me company (part two) - malleus draconia

summary - remebering what lilia had told you about malleus, you planned to approach him in person to talk things out with him.

genre - fluff and very suggestive

notes - here’s part one to this oneshot. i suggest reading it to understand the whole thing but its fine if u decide not to.

lilia walks out of the vacant room and decides to go back to his own room; in which he considered it to be on a 'off-limit' state a while ago. to his surprise while walking at the corridors, he saw his beloved son silver nearby. he then approahes him. "ah, you're back early silver." he says.

silver turned to lilia as he heard him. "were you with the prefect just now, father?" he asks him. lilia guesses that he saw you walking out of the dorms. he nods as an answer. "yes, i called them over." lilia responded. "for what reason?" he asks but before answering lilia lets out a sigh.

"why, all of you were busy while i was left alone here with nothing to do. i thought about inviting the prefect over to wear off my boredom." lilia explained. "and malleus has done it again with the passing of messages. i ought to inform them about it as early as possible. otherwise, malleus would come to ask me if he has received any response from them." silver nods as he understood his reason.

lilia then looks over to his side. "was sebek with you as well when you arrived here?" he asks. "yes, we both went here together." silver nodded. "good." lilia raises his hand to pat on silver's shoulder.

"rest up now son." he tells him. "you too, father." lilia looks at him with a smile before closing the door.

"malleus had planned to do this kind of dance with you." lilia's sentence still remained in your head. it made you start to overthink between the things going on with you and malleus. to also add onto that, you were spacing out in the just now. ace, deuce, and you were sitting under the tree at the courtyard.

"oi, mc. you haven't took a bite off your sandwich yet." ace calls you out. you looked over to him as you snapped back into your senses. "there you are. you were spacing out earlier, what's with that?" he asks you.

"it's nothing. i didn't get that much sleep last night." you reasoned. "no wonder. you looked like you haven't gotten sleep too." deuce also adds. "oh boy, when i tell you that deuce was so tempted to steal your sandwich-" he then stops ace from letting out another word in his mouth. "no i did not steal their sandwich, shut it!" ace laughs at deuce's reaction.

you let out a sigh infront of them which caught the two off-guard. "and your mood still hasn't changed. is something up with you, mc?" deuce asks. you look back at him shaking your head in response. "no, i'm fine guys. really, i am." you denied it but they still wouldn't take your answer. "is that so? your face doesn't seem like it." ace said.

"it's just that-" as you were about to explain the reason behind the saddened expression on your face, a random student approaches you. "you've been called by the headmage. it has something to do with your cat." you immediately thought of grim. "not again." you grumbled as you stood up from the ground.

"what did grim do this time?" deuce wonders. "is there ever a day where that monster would never do something so troublesome?" ace responds. "well, that's for me to find out. i'll be back." you said while making your way to crowley's office. "if i take a while to get back, you can go to your dorms." you reminded the two.

as you were about to enter the room, you heard grim's loud yelling voice that echoed through the wall. you wondered what could have lead to his reaction being like that. you then began to open the door.

"ah mc, you've arrived." crowley greets you. you closed the door as you got inside. "what did you call me in for, headmage?" you asked him. "oh, thank the great sevens that you have arrived here immediately." he said. "i called you here to inform you and grim with regards about the packages outside your dorm." you began to be confused.

"packages? you asked. "yes mc! whole lotta packages outside our dorm!" grim tells you in surprise. that explains to grim's reaction earlier. "correct. as i was took a stroll outside your dorm, i noticed a few packages laying outside your door." crowley explains. "i ask you both to go have a lot at the boxes or i will have it immediately disposed if you choose to not take action." he requests.

"KYAHHHHH!!!! we'll go running to take a look at the boxes!" grim exclaims. then he got up from his chair, grabbing your hand. "let's go mc! to the ramshackle dorm!" you were startled by grim gripping onto your hand tightly but he looses his hold of it as you left the office. he quickly ran downstairs and you couldn't catch up with him. "grim, don't run off without me!" he ignored your words leaving you to sigh after.

you sprinted your way downstairs to follow grim. while doing so, you happened to stumble upon a person who you did not expect to see. it was whom you had been thinking about ever since you were with lilia.

"mc." malleus caled as he notices you. you stopped with your tracks as you heard his voice. "malleus, what a coincidence to see you here." you answered with an awkward laugh. he lets out a smile in response. you don't mind having a quick chat with malleus so you decided to walk up to him.

"i noticed that you seem like you're in a hurry. why is that?" he asks you. "oh, i'm heading back to the dorms that's why." you answered. you heard grim walking up to the both of you with him panting from exhaustion.

"mc, why didn't you catch up with me back there?!" he complains. then as he glances at you and malleus, his expression started to change. "H-HORNTON?!" he lets out a loud gasp in horror until he passed out on the floor.

you rolled your eyes at grim's dramatic reaction when he saw malleus. you picked him up from the floor. "sorry malleus, we need to go now." you apologized. "no need, mc. we can have another chat if you ever happen to see me pass by." he says. you begin to hold his hand, intertwining it with yours. "i'll see you later tonight like usual." you looked at him with a smile.

malleus' eyes widened in surprise the moment you began to make contact with his hand. his face went slightly red. you slowly let go of his hand as you were now about to leave, while holding onto grim who had apparently passed out.

the two of you now had arrived at the ramshackle dorm. you were in relief that the packages outside hasn't been disposed yet. you began to drop off grim onto the ground. "oi grim, get up. remember the packages we have outside the dorm?" you asked him.

grim then started to open his eyes. he grunted in pain after you dropped him off. "ow, did you really have to do that, mc?" he was irritated. you rolled your eyes at him. "stop laying there and help me out with the packages. where was the ethusiasm you had a while ago?" grim angrily hissed at your response and began to rush over to the boxes outside the dorm.

"my, my, now these are a LOT." grim reacted. "which is why we need to bring these into the longue to check what's inside." you explained. you and grim had now finish bringing the boxes inside your longue. the boxes were indeed heavy that it made you sulk down on your sofa after all that lifting.

grim looks over at the box and observes it. "it has our dorm name labeled so it would mean that it's ours." grim says. "it is yours, correct." one of the ghosts had suddenly appeard. "EEEK!" grim became startled. "i'm this close to having a heart attack already from you idiot!" he cursed.

the ghost started to laugh from his reaction. "now moving on, the boxes here are sent by the other ghosts. they said it was their stuff that needed to be thrown out. so now it's passed on to the both of you." the ghost explains as to why there were so many boxes outside your dorm.

"if it's good stuff then i want in." grim responded. he then began to open the box. "we are gonna dispose these boxes if it's turns out to be plain old junk- WOAH!" he stopped as he saw something that leads to his excitement. "CANNED TUNA?" grim was now happy upon seeing it.

"careful there, that could be expired." you reminded him. "oh no, it's not expired. they told me those were brand new so it's safe to eat." the ghost tells you. "alright, i'm gonna start feasting!" he says while opening the canned tuna with his bare hands. you were surprised to see him open it in one try. "i'll be leaving now. have fun with your gifts!" the ghost said as he now disappeared.

you looked over at the boxes and decided to open one. but before you do that, a knock from the door caught your ears. "someone's here?" you wondered as you walked up to the door. "it could be headmage crowley." grim said while munching on his precious canned tuna.

you opened the door to see that it was lilia. it lead you to surprise. "lilia?" he nods. "hello there, mc." he greets you. "i'm here under malleus' request." he tells you. "oh, could it be that i upsetted him?" you were worried that it could have something to do with last time you were with him earlier.

"no, no. not at all." he shook his head. "i'm here to remind you that he'll arrive at your dorms tonight." you had then remembered what you said to malleus. "sure. i'll be waiting for him." you responded as lilia nods. "that is all. i shall now take my leave. goodbye mc." lilia then disappears in thin air which itched your eyes for a second.

you still couldn't hold on to the fact that malleus would be here. "mc, come here and check this out! i'm sure you'll love this!" grim called you over. you decided to stress about your meetup with malleus later to take care of other things.

grim has now dozed off into a deep sleep. his loud snorring says it all. now it was the time for you to check outside the window if malleus was outside. there was no sight of him at all. you decided to head outside to see if he was really there.

"there you are, mc." it turned out to be malleus. "malleus, good to see you again." you walked up to him. "i say the same with you as well." he lets out a smile to you. the two of you had a quick silence while looking at each other, until you finally said a word. "do you wanna stroll around in the woods?" you asked him.

"sure, i'd be happy to." he smiles at you. as the two of you began to stroll around in the dark woods, you decided to tell him something about earlier. "sorry if i left vey early from the last time we talked, which was just today." you told him. "it's fine, i am not bothered." he responded.

"crowley just told us that there were boxes that are sent outside our dorm, so he ordered grim and i to have it checked or he'll dispose all of it." he lets out a nod at your reasoning. "boxes outside your dorm? it could be packages sent by someone, i assume?" he wonders.

"yeah it was from the ghosts." you answered. "they wanted to feel generous towards us today, that's why." you let out a chuckle at your response. malleus did the same as well. "oh and while going over through the boxes, i found something that might catch your interest." malleus turns to look at you as it caught his attention. "and whatever could that be?" he wondered.

you handed out to him a book. "i'm not sure if you're interested in reading, but i was thinking of giving that away since my storage is already loaded with books." you stated.malleus took the book in your hands and glances at it.

"since it's a gift from you, i can't afford to refuse it." he tells you. "thank you malleus." you let out a smile towards him. "that book was included in one of the boxes too, if you're wondering." you added.

"hm, it does seem that the ghosts really cares about you and grim. considering the amount of stuff they gifted to you both." malleus commented. "or they have no one else to hand down those boxes so they chose us." you joked as malleus lets out a slight chuckle. "that could likely be the reason too." you nodded at him.

then malleus decides to change the topic when he remembered what he was supposed to ask you. "oh, may i ask something from you mc?" he began to ask you. "ask way malleus. i'm all ears." you told him. "though i guess that you might've known already." you were confused for a second. "no, i don't know anything at all." you shook your head in response.

"so i suppose lilia hasn't told you yet?" it took you a long minute to realize what he had meant. you recalled the thing lilia told you yesterday when you were with him. "wait, i remember now. he said something about a dance with you." you guessed it right. "correct." he said.

"lilia taught me the basics. and i'm not sure if you're still willing to dance with me since i did not do very well while dancing." malleus didn't mind at all if you sucked at it. "worry not, i'm okay with whatever you can do." he says. "with that, would you still be in favor to dance with me?" he then asks you just to make sure. "yes of course." you nodded as you gladly accepted.

"we can dance here." malleus leads you to a spot where the space is not surrounded with that much many trees. he puts down his book on a log nearby so that he could grab your hand. "don't be pressured and go along with my movements, mc." it was the same thing lilia had told you.

the both of you were now in position for a waltz dance. this time, his style was different. his hand was placed on your waist unlike lilia's which was the opposite. you and malleus both eye contact with each other while dancing. way different than lilia's, because you were looking at your feet the entire time you practiced with him.

he does a twirl on you which was just right. then as you were about to lean over, you had almost lost your balance. "oh no-" thankfully malleus manages to catch you in a second.

"and to that, i suggest you might want to take note of next time." he jokes while you laughed in response as you agreed with him. "yep you're right." he pulls you back in to your normal standing position.

then he said your name. "mc..." he takes a pause to look at your face. your face became red as he leans in closer to you. he began to hold intertwine the both of your hands with his.

since you were already overwhelmed with the situation going on, your guts had to take over your place. "are we about to kiss?" you bluntly said which made malleus surprised.

"oh, you had guessed so sooner." he lets out a chuckle. "you are such a funny one if i must say mc." he says. "is that a reason why you like me malleus?" you asked him, letting out a smirk on your face. "there's more to what i like about you, mc." he answers.

and just like that, he began to grab your chin to make contact with your lips. your back leaned into a tree when the kiss became a little bit too overboard. it was rather a suggestive feeling which you can't seem to describe.

"mngh-" you made a sound from the kiss which made you pull away from embarassment. "i'm so sorry, that was out of hand i swear!" you became flustered. "why should you be? i don't have a problem, mc." malleus didn't seem to be bothered at all.

"i actually do like where the kiss had came out to be." malleus commented. that made you feel a bit better. "do you want to kiss again?" you asked malleus if he still wants to continue. "of course." he leans in again closer to your lips.

the kiss this time was where you began to feel his tongue. "mmh..." you began to let out a moan from all the kissing. "mc, mngh-" malleus did the same and you didn't want to deny how attractive he sounded.

the two of you started to pull away from each other after you had lost control on your breathing. "wow, you're a good kisser malleus." you complimented him. "is that so?" he wonders.

"i could tell, considering the noises you made while we kissed." he lets out a smirk at you which made you laugh. "hahahaha no, no. let's not go through that, okay?"you told him. "sure my dear." he finally calls you a nickname which made your face blush.

"shall we head off now, seeing that it's already this late?" he asks while looking around at the surroundings. "yeah, we better go." you answered. malleus began to hold your hand. the two of you then started to leave the woods to head back to your perspective dorms.
