Guys good news I asked my sisters step kid who his top 5 Pokemon were and one of them was Gengar

scyther was my first partner in my first pokemon game :) it was diamond. i overtrained scyther way too much and he (because it was a boy scyther) would do that thing where he doesnt listen in battle so i build his entire moveset around it. he was lost when i transferred him to heartgold and then dropped heartgold in some water. rip scyther always in my heart

togekiss was my friend alongside scyther. she was the first pokemon i ever trained up to lv.100. she was also a victim of the heartgold incident. rip togekiss always in my heart.

absol was the only one from my initial gamebeating diamond team to survive the incident. she was transferred over to my copy of platinum and after i ended up losing diamond, remained there happily. i dont want to transfer her to bank or home because i think itd be like moving an old cat to a new house. i dont want to upset her at her old age. also absol's design fucks. emo fringe lynx. absol is what sparked my emotions about dark types. also i played pmd1 as a kid.

gengar is gengar. also i played pmd1 as a kid and read a copious amount of fanfic focused around pmd1 gengar (everyone go read pmd victory fire now it doesnt even matter that its on forever hiatus and ended with a cliffhanger go read it)

the tentacool variations are here purely out of sentimentality. when i was much younger, id let my little sister borrow my copies of the gen 4 pokemon games. she was really young and didnt really care about rpgs in general at the time, so shed always just explore and catch random pokemon instead of actually playing the games. one time, after i got the games back from her, i looked in my pc and saw like. two full boxes of tentacool and tentacruel that shed caught. and they've all got nose themed nicknames like "nosey" or "nosenose" and other stuff like that. so apparently she was surfing about and saw a tentacool for the first time and was just. obsessed with how they looked and thought they looked like big noses (with the red spots being like nostrils i think) and just decided to catch loads and loads of them because she liked them so much. so it became an inside joke between us. i dont really have much in common with my sister anymore and our relationship is pretty cold rn but pokemon is the one thing we still hold in common. and ill always associate tentacool with her.

we all know why grovyle is where he is. same with dusknoir. theyre also good designs.

i really dont like enamourus because its fucked up how they designed three big buff genie men and then made one that was pink and skinny. awful. makes me angry. if they were buff theyd be one of my favs tho.

i really dont like the pla designs for dialga and palkia... theyve already both got very busy designs and i think these forms are Too Busy. i really wanted to like them but well... i look at giratinas two forms and cry over what could have been.

i dont like the tumblr sexyman lizard.

a lot of pokemon are in higher tiers cus theyre based on animals i like... i like a lot of cat pokemon for this reason. also i like the litten line cus it fucks. and my litten in sumo was a female and i like the idea of big buff wrester catgirl :3 incineroar is a really good design and shes big and strong... whats not to love.

also, i generally like a lot of designs which other pokemon fans dislike... i especially love more humanoid/furry "feminine" designs like primarina, lilligant, gardevoir, lopunny, tsareena, etc etc... i really dislike how a lot of these designs are just seen as like sexygirl designs by the community... sadly porn will exist of everything but these pokemon are also creatures. theyre animals. they may look a bit like a girl but they are still magic animals. like one time in moon i had a whole team of grass girlies and it was just fun to hang out with my funny grass lady creatures.

i like giratina because theyre a big ass antimatter caterpillar. drawing giratina helped me draw antropomorphic caterpillars actually. i like their big ass legs.

the lunar duo are my ultimate fav pokemon forever as a team for a big mix of all the other reasons. partly its sentimentality, cus i really liked them as a kid and i would always chill on fullmoon island in my copy of platinum and just listen to the music, i also always tried to do the void glitch to get darkrai but i always fucked up and never quite saw her! (i couldnt do the event cus living in shitty rural region reasons) i also liked battling with them in oras :3 i think their designs are very well done. they remind me of the "swan" series by hilma af klimt specifically, which is a series i really liked on its own. i dont think that was intentional, but i was looking at the work about a year or so ago for an essay and i sorta realized how well the overall color palette of that series matches the pair and cresselia specifically, because shes based on a swan ofc. and ofc darkrai is also birdlike but in a more abstract way. she actually reminds me a bit of the skeletons of one of those really fucked up breed pigeons with the receeded necks and huge fantails and tiny beaks and weird spindly legs. i also really like how unabashedly edgy darkrai's design is... i feel a lot of nostalgia for edgy character designs from the mid 2000s which were edgy in a very un-selfaware way (another reason why i like absol specifically and also like. so many ghost and dark types) and as an angsty kid i always used to gravitate towards those designs lol. i also think its kinda romantic, the idea of a creature which kills others simply by being around them, a typhoid mary type creature, which isolates itself due to that, with its only friend also being the only creature that negates its negative affects. and also that creature killed a kid in america (fucked up). thats how i interpret their relationship. anyway ive been having lots of thoughts about them for like over 15 years.

this is unrelated but its kinda annoying when ppl use gendered pronouns for genderless pokemon... its not gonna ruin my days its just. funny lol (ignore that i have used she/her for darkrai throughout this entire comment... when i do it, its ok <3) one of the sad flaws of the pmd series imo bcus the mainline games dont do that at all.

in general i think my likes and dislikes are more dictated by character design/sentimentality as opposed to ability in battle or fanservice or competitive meta ... this is just part of being a longtime fan who doesnt rlly keep up with the community anymore methinks. im kinda beating myself up for not putting more complex thought into this buuut also i wanna be true to myself yknow... but then again this community sucks so i feel like im gonna be attacked for putting idk wingull too low or something lol

I started listening to X-Men: The Audio Drama by Scyther Audio Dramas, and dang, it's good. But there's one moment I want to point out that I was really impressed by: in their adaptation of Uncanny X-Men #169-170, the first appearance of the Morlocks, there's an exchange that goes a little something like this.

the X-Men are walking through the New York sewers, in search of the kidnapped Angel

Kitty Pryde: "So, Piotr... I'm almost sixteen, you know! How old are you?" Colossus: "I am twenty-two years old." Kitty: "Well, that's not that big of a gap..." Colossus: "You are a child, about the same age as my sister. Not happening."

And all I have to say is thank god, because Kitty/Piotr was a weird Claremont thing that I don't particularly like.

Weirdly, that's not the only age of consent-related conversation in the episode, because it's also got the bit with Caliban kidnapping Kitty and Kitty going "I'm still a child!" Double standard, much?

(Also, shoutout to the audio drama for fixing Amanda Sefton, because Kurt/Amanda is a ship that I actually do like... there's just the fact that Amanda was his foster sister and started going out with him in disguise without telling him that. Making Amanda just some random flight attendant Kurt fell for is much better.)

Blur / Blight : Yancy and Curtis

Yancy

Full name is Yancy Rosewood, stagename is Nancy. In the past, she, along with Anthea, were the half of The Eyes, particularly the one that represented love; Venus.

Her team is Togetic, Pikachu, Chimecho, Budew, and Munchlax. Post-BW2, she gets a Mawile that can Mega Evolve. Her ace is Togetic, later Togekiss.

Was a member of Team Plasma; though she wasn't necessarily raised within the walls of the castle, she did grow up learning to never speak of the castle, The Order of The Heart, or anything- she knew this made her far from being a normal girl.

Was a devout member of The Order of The Heart, even after the horrific display of Cheren's death after he was poisoned during the last supper.

Her parents abandoned her while making a run from the authorities, and she found herself at the doorstep of an orphanage in Anville Town; not too long after, both she and Curtis were taken in by Colress.

In BW2, she's an idol who's made a name for herself in only a year, and has went to many business trips and established many connections. Still, this serves as a front, and a way for Colress to establish as many eyes as possible; every person she interacts with, a part of Beheeyem is left with them.

Somewhat timid, but very passionate about her interests- and her beliefs. Since being a member of The Order of The Heart would warrant her arrest, she pretends that she's just a devout worshipper of the Dragon of Truth, Reshiram. Also a little sheltered- she's a bit hesitant to eat food that Nate and Hugh cook while camping, as she's used to living somewhat luxuriously, but she grows to adore camping.

Dislikes battling as she grew up with Team Plasma's ideology that battling is a painful experience for Pokemon, but obliges with keeping them in balls for the time being. This initially sets Hugh off that she was part of Team Plasma, so she tones down her stance on battling and Pokeballs as much as she can.

Has a half-sister, Mira, in Sinnoh.

Curtis

Full name is Curtis Greenville, stagename is Christoph. In the past, he, along with Concordia, were the half of The Eyes, particularly the one that represented peace; Colombe.

His team is Dusclops, Poliwhirl, Rhydon, Scyther, and Porygon. Post-BW2, he gets a Sableye that can Mega Evolve. His ace is Dusclops, later Dusknoir.

Unlike Yancy, he considers himself to have an "average" childhood, if not for the fact he had lost his parents at a young age; he grew up in Anville Town's orphanage, and, being one of the older kids there, was used to looking out for those much younger than him, as well as helping grown-ups with their tasks and chores.

Doesn't believe in the dragons, or any of the Unovan myths, even if the folks at Anville Town try to instill their belief of the Forces of Nature on him. He is, however, intrigued by their existence.

Was the one that found Yancy lost in the forest not too far from Anville Town, and convinced those at the orphanage to take her in. As she was the only other kid around his age, they looked out for the others together, at least, until Colress drops by and takes both of them in.

In BW2, he's an idol who's made a name for herself in only a year, and has traveled around the world and gained so much knowledge as a result. Still, this serves as a front, and a way for Colress to establish as many eyes as possible; every person he interacts with, a part of Beheeyem is left with them.

Considered composed, yet earnest, as well as almost as serious as Colress. To blend in with others much easier, he pretends to have many traits and qualities, such as being a devout worshipper of the Dragon of Ideals, Zekrom. Self-reliant and independent as a result of his upbringing, and is used to looking out for others and acting as a big brother, which is his behavior towards Yancy, and later, Rosa, Nate, and Hugh.

Unlike Yancy, he's dreamed of becoming a trainer, and has watched battles in his free time at the orphanage; because of this, he, like the Aspertia Trio, is aware of celebrities such as Hilda Weiss and Hilbert Blackburn. Though he knows more about them as he lets on, as he believes Colress is specifically training him to be his successor- which is far from the truth, as Colress is only utilizing him as a tool.

A very distant cousin of Rika from Paldea.

Well, my sister an' I were called to help out on Route 229. Tree fell 'n the middle of the road there, and so they needed it moved. Pretty big one too, so it was a slow job. Not good when ya got lots of Scyther round; whole swarm was usin' the felled tree as a way to corner prey, and tried to corner us as well.

Marge was keepin' them at bay with her Magneton, and I was usin' my team to move the tree outta the road. But the biggest of them Scythers charged past her and got me across the back; pretty sure it woulda kept goin' if she hadn't caught it.

The scar ain't easy to see now for a number a' reasons, but still twinges a bit when I'm round her Scizor. Still can't relax around that fuckin' thing, and it's been well over three decades since then.

Viridian Gym Trainers

There are five core trainers of the Viridian Gym — while there have been others that have come and gone, these five have been at the gym with Green pretty much since the start, and have all grown up with it and him. They may work for him, but he considers them friends more than anything, and the feeling is mutual. They all care for and respect each other very much. They're all around the same age.

Yasutaka is the one that Green entrusts the gym to whenever he's not around. He's easygoing, sensible, well-organized, and is able to manage and fix things that Green might occasionally accidentally gloss over. Basically, if Green's not around, you answer to this guy. At first glance he seems a little severe, but he's all smiles once you start talking to him. He's 29 years old.

His team as a normal gym team is: Stantler, Tauros, Heracross, and Poliwrath. Acting as the leader in Green's stead it's: Arbok, Slowking, Primeape, Dewgong, Mamoswine, and Kangaskhan.

Akie was born and raised in Viridian, and saw the effects of Rocket on it with her own eyes. Her family was directly affected — her father struck a monetary deal with Rocket to keep their little shop afloat, and later couldn't repay the debt. No one died, but there was injury, and the trauma remains. Despite this, and despite being a little shy and prone to anxiety, she's fierce in battle and refuses to back down. She can be stubborn, but kind. Her brother now living in Saffron got sick and almost died during the second Black Fog event. She's 27 years old.

Her gym team is: Slowking, Lickilicky, Donphan, and Vileplume.

Yoshinori is quiet. He's rarely ever talks outside of battle, but his body language and face are extremely expressive. He knows sign language and prefers to talk that way. He's very easy to get along with, and one of the first to lend a helping hand if desired. However, he does have the tendency to be a little short-tempered, but he's at least able to take loss well. He's 28 years old.

His gym team is: Spinda, Sudowoodo, Scyther, and Hitmontop.

Ten and Sayo are twin brother and sister. They're also the youngest of the trainers, both 26. They're super high-energy and, while the gym trainers aren't hired to work at the club at night, these two tend to show up there anyway, if only just to party. They insist on fighting alongside each other as a double battle challenge, because they believe they fight better together. Ten doesn't talk much, and when he does, he's a little dry and deadpan, where Sayo talks enough for three people.

Ten's gym Pokémon are: Porygon2 and Espeon. Sayo's gym Pokémon are: Azumarill and Umbreon.

What are some of your favorite Tracey episodes?

Oh that's a fun question! Off the top of my head and with a quick look at Bulbapedia's "episodes focusing on Tracey" list, I'll say:

EP084 The Lost Lapras: his debut! He makes a really funny first impression, with his Establishing Character Moment being showing up in the middle of a confrontation, pointing out three people's mediocre Pokemon husbandry to their (and their Pokemon's!) faces, walking over to Ash and picking up Pikachu off Ash's head, and asking Pikachu to electrocute him. All of this happens in the span of like a minute. And then there's his introduction to the TRio when they're stealing Lapras and he's like HOLY SHIT A TALKING MEOWTH (paraphrasing) and goes right up to these criminals who are in the middle of doing a crime and tries to give Meowth an interview.

EP097 Tracey Gets Bugged: the one where he catches Scyther, and also has his first onscreen battle! Has some really cute and funny moments all around. This is also the one where he calls Misty a chicken.

EP110 The Stun Spore Detour: this is a Misty focus episode honestly, but I'm not leaving out what's one of my favorite episodes in general. If you know my Brand (whump/sickfic enjoyer) you can probably guess why.

EP115 A Tent Situation: he finally gets to meet Professor Oak and has one of the most Relatable Artist Moments of all time (getting so nervous about Professor Oak looking at and silently evaluating his work right in front of him that he starts shaking hard enough to shake the couch he, Ash, and Misty are sitting on). Good stuff.

HS15 Putting the Air Back in Aerodactyl: this is one of the handful of Chronicles episodes I've seen in full and it is so special to me (mostly for Gary reasons, but Tracey really gets to shine in Chronicles and this one's no exception). As for Tracey's participation in this episode, the standout moments are when Gary is down on himself and Professor Oak and Tracey both give him some much needed encouragement (very sweet) and when Tracey for unknown reasons grabs onto a moving Aerodactyl (funny for how unhinged this is). I'm a dub watcher but I know from reading Bulbapedia articles that Tracey also provides the end narration in the Japanese version, which is cute.

HS16 Luvdisc is a Many Splendored Thing: after my enthusiastic liveblogging the first time I watched this episode last week and the two more times I've watched it since, who's shocked? This episode is cute! I love Tracey's interactions with the Cerulean sisters, and the dialogue in the dub "Tell me, by any chance would I have to wear tights in this show?" "Absolutely!" "Then I can't" has somehow sent me into a genuine laughing fit every time. Also Prince Tracey is very cute and I understand Daisy's vision there (unlike Daisy, I'm not an OrangeShipper, but I Get It).

Johto Gym Leaders

You’ve defeated the Kanto elite four, but Team Neo-Rocket is moving into Johto! It’s time to expand your horizons, and to keep your skills sharp you should take on the Johto League.

If you want more information on this project, check out the Johto or Memories of Kanto tags on the blog!

A number of things have changed in Johto over the last decade, but the gym leader lineup has remained fairly similar.

Gym Leader 1: Fulton

Fulton hasn’t made many changes to the Violet City gym since taking it over from his mentor, Falkner. You will challenge a pair of bird keepers, stationed along the gym’s wooden aerial pathway, before facing Fulton himself.

Fulton’s team consists of Farfetch’d, Noctowl, Fearow, Skarmory, and Pidgeot, and he will award you with the Zephyr badge.

Gym Leader 2: Bugsy

Bugsy’s gym is the best place to master bug type Pokémon. The Spinarak-web inspired pathways lead you across the gym and past a variety of bug catchers who are training under Bugsy. 

He’s proud of his work, and is glad to see a powerful trainer like yourself is interested in bug types. When you defeat his Butterfree, Aridos, Scyther, Heracross, and Shuckle, he will give you the hive badge.

Gym Leader 3: Whitney

This gym is a multi-level, candy-colored maze, where you will battle beauties and lasses on your way to facing Whitney. Whitney is very impressed by how far you’ve come as a trainer, and is excited to battle you. She also warns you not to underestimate the normal type!

If you can successfully defeat her team of Persian, Porygon-Z, Wigglytuff, Girafarig, and Miltank, you’ll receive the plain badge.

Gym Leader 4: Sakura

After Morty joined Johto’s Elite Four, the Ecruteak gym was moved into the city’s dance theater. Unlike most gyms, the dance theater’s theme is not a type, but an evolutionary line. To reach Sakura, the gym leader, you first must cross a variety of stages and battle her sisters. First, you must defeat Satsuki’s Jolteon, Sumomo’s Vaporeon, and Koume’s Flareon in single battles, before facing the remaining four sisters in double battles: first Rea’s Glaceon and Linnea’s Leafeon, then Kira’s Sylveon and Tamao’s Umbreon.  

Once you have defeated all of her sisters, you will face Sakura. Her team all have friendship-based evolutions: Pikachu, Clefairy, Togetic, Blissey, and Espeon. For completing this gym, you are granted the spirit badge.

Gym Leader 5: Chuck

Not much has changed around Cianwood gym. Chuck still trains under a raging waterfall, and he’s happy to take you on if you climb to the top of the gym and shut off the water. On the way you’ll be able to challenge black belts and battle girls.

Once you defeat his Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Machamp, Poliwrath, and Primeape you’ll be rewarded with the storm badge.

Gym Leader 6: Jasmine

Jasmine’s gym challenge is all about taking a contemplative pause. Firstly, you will need to go meet Jasmine in the glitter lighthouse before she will be around for a challenge. She explains, when you find her, that this is to encourage trainers to take in the scenery and enjoy their journey, not to simply roar through each city, defeating gym after gym. The lighthouse houses a few different trainers, including sailors, bird keepers, and gentlemen, but all of the battles are optional.

In a similar vein, her gym is now styled after a zen rock garden. The room around the garden is made of industrial steel, as is Jasmine’s platform, but the majority of the floor space is sand, along with some stones. You can only walk through the garden with a rake in hand, and draw through the sand however you like. You can also move the rocks using strength. Along the edges, on the steel flooring, stand lasses and beauties who will challenge you when you cross their line of sight (which is unavoidable). 

When you reach Jasmine, you are faced with her Magnezone, Steelix, Scizor, Skarmory, and Ampharos. Upon defeating her, she gives you the mineral badge.

Gym Leader 7: Silver

Upon first glance, there is no longer a gym in Mahogany town. However, if you talk to the woman who runs the Special Souvenir Shop and mention that you are taking part in the gym challenge, or ask what she knows about Team Neo-Rocket, she’ll explain to you that the gym is below the store in Team Rocket’s old Johto HQ. 

Below the store, the gym features three levels of maze-like hallways, where you can battle bikers, burglars, and PI/gamblers, all of whom prefer facing gym challengers to any less savory activities they once got up to, and have at least one Pokémon each which has a friendship-based evolution.

The Mahogany gym, and Silver’s team in particular, have no particular type association, making it a comparative challenge. However, if you can defeat Silver’s Umbreon, Tyranitar, Weavile, Crobat, and Typhlosion you’ll receive the revolution badge.

Gym Leader 8: Andrea

Andrea is working hard to live up to her mentor, Clair’s reputation. She’s deeply dedicated to dragon type, as well as the ideas of tradition and discipline. In fact, when you first arrive in Blackthorn city, Andrea is not at the gym. Instead, she is training in the dragon’s den cave under the city. 

On your way to find her, you will need to battle some ace trainers. When you first meet Andrea in the depths of the den, she quizzes you about what matters in Pokémon training (the same questions as the “Master’s Quiz” in the original dragon’s den). However you answer, you will then be able to challenge her in the gym, but if you give all the correct answers (all of which paint a picture of a kind, enthusiastic trainer) she will give you a level 15 dratini. 

The gym itself has changed from being a landscape of lava, the lava has been replaced with deep, cold water. Using surf is forbidden, and you must pilot floating platforms across the lake. The gym includes dragon tamers and ace trainers that you will need to defeat before reaching Andrea.

Andrea’s team is made up of Kingdra, Gyarados, Zweilous, and Dragonite, and once you defeat her you will receive your final badge: the rising badge.

The final step on your Pokémon league journey is to face the Johto elite four and champion, who are newly instated since the original games took place. It’s time to head across Mt. Silver to the Silver Falls highland, where the league has been built. Good luck!

Here’s a snippet of chapter 2 for my in-progress fic Katatsumuri for WIP Wednesday. Set in @monsoon-of-art ‘s PokeRus AU.

Lian had approached Grandtree Arena by himself one day with an offering, looking to be accepted as Kleavor’s warden. His previous warden had passed away over a year ago, a rather gruff old man, and he hadn’t taken another warden since. Sure, he accepted offerings brought to him, but none of the hopefuls impressed him. Always respectful and properly deferential, but none of them held their head high, far too wary of him. The Lord respected drive and conviction. So when Lian had the gumption to come to Lord Kleavor’s domain by himself against the wishes of his clan mates, he felt a sense of kinship with the boy. It reminded Kleavor of when he had been a brash young scyther with something to prove. The newly evolved alpha bibarel from Tidewater had been causing trouble, taking trees directly from Heartwood. Feeling emboldened by the previous noble being in her old age, the upstart rodent and their bidoofs cut down trees in Lady Kleavor’s territory, just to prove they could. They even went as far as stealing offerings directly from the Noble’s dais. Never when she was around though. The alpha was shrewd and opportunistic, bullying lone scythers and passing work off to bidoofs if Lady Kleavor was suspected to be nearby. His brothers and sisters had taken to driving them off whenever they caught them trespassing and scratching out territory markers they had so disrespectfully left. But they kept coming back, undeterred by the irate scythers. The alpha was all but challenging the aged Noble to deal with them personally. With Lady Kleavor being close to retirement and at a distinct type disadvantage, taking on the entire lodge would end badly for her. But hiding from interlopers showing such blatant disrespect would make her look cowardly and weak in the eyes of the other alphas. So he took matters into his own hands. Bidoofs were simple creatures. If their alpha fell, the rest of them would scatter. He just had to endure their attacks and focus on taking down the ringleader. That night he headed down to Tidewater dam to teach them a lesson they’d never forget. He limped back to Grandtree Arena in the early hours of the morning battered and injured, but triumphant. His gambit had paid off. The alpha had been cowed and they never set foot in the Lady’s territory again, keeping to the river and edges of the forest. His mother had been impressed by his display of strength and cunning and choose him to be her heir. When she retired he became the next Noble, the mighty Lord Kleavor. The young scyther and human had both understood that if you want respect, you have to demand it. Lian had certainly gotten his when he returned to camp with a warden’s bracelet.

You’re not wrong, Lucille did trade a few Pokemons with other people.

She traded her male Frilish with her sister for a Galarian Yamask, which she them evolved it into a Runerigus.

Lucille used to have a Seadra but she traded it with her friend for a Trapinch.

There is also this time where Lucille briefly traded her Scyther (who’s holding a Metal Coat) with her sister’s Phantump.

PETITE;   shea’s alpha hisuian lilligant. like most of shea’s partners, petite & shea met during the hisui era & was one of shea’s very first pkmn & the first alpha shea successfully calmed. this alpha was part of the pack that the noble hisuian lilligant was born from & was extremely proud & territorial. shea had all but avoided it for some time until it was no longer viable as a group of petilil under it’s protection were attacked by a trio of scyther & shea without thinking ran into the fray to protect them.

it was after the scyther had been scared off that the alpha challenge shea, testing if what shea’s strength of heart was mere foolhearty fluke or a true show of her character. however after shea won the trust of the lilligant--- the beastie found itself endeared to shea & followed her to camp. && then to jubilife. figuring that the pkmn wanted to join shea in her adventures, she asked it if such was the case & the lilligant nodded.

since then shea & petite have been inseparable. the two have a near perfect understanding of each other & petite often would leave her pokeball of her own accord to protect shea or aid her in dire times. petite was also granted immortality by arceus so that she may stay by shea’s side & is always brought w/ shea to any region she explores or ventures to. shea considers petite true family & often treats her like a sister rather than a pokepartner.

if one has the honor of visiting the flower paradise on their own, it’s petite who shows up at a distance to observe you & judge your character. if she believes you are of a impure heart she will attack you & push you from moving further, if you seem to have pure intentions she will appear before you to guide you to a giant gracidea field where you can meet various shaymin.

fun fact in PMD type situations, shea turns into a hisuian lilligant. one wonder’s if petite just lends shea her forme as she knows that shea will be safe with petite even if she’s not in control of her body. like dna digivolving sorta.   / SHEA’S TEAM.

“Ugnnn.” Vivienne was finally rising from the bed. She doesn’t know why, but she’s been nearly bedridden for three days now. Her children come and help her, but something just... doesn’t feel right.

Maybe it’s that she’s still getting accustomed to her human form. She remembered her mother mention that lasting effects to appear like a mortal could have undesired side-effects for up to 10 years. Maybe she ate or drank something wrong or has an allergy that she wasn’t aware of. Maybe she caught a cold from one of her little ones. 

But right now? She needed more rest. Perhaps she should call her deer daughter or her darling sister and her trainer to spend some time with her... or her busy mother or clothes-obsessed friend. But who would want to just... sit there and watch her rest?

...well, other than Scyther of course, but she wouldn’t seem all that bothered from company, anyway.

Vivienne closed her eyes and went back to sleep. More rest was in order.

[Zan and Denomi are waiting in line patiently at Greedent's Shack.]

[Denomi] "I got a letter from my sister saying she's coming over to Dewdrop again."

[Zan looks over and gives Denomi a curious glance.]

[Denomi] "I know, 'It can't be that bad', but the thing is… she's bringing her friends over."

[The two move up in line after someone leaves to sit down. They order what they want and go to a table together, with Zan sitting at a stool and Denomi standing on the table.]

[Denomi] "I've never met any of her friends, and she never told me about any of them. Well, she does go on about what they do, but she doesn't tell me exactly who they are. It's like 'this one friend did this' and 'this one friend did that' and… Honestly, I'm scared, man."

[Denomi shudders.]

[Denomi] "I don't know who's coming or how many there are, or how much she's told of me to them… All I know is that they apparently get up to crazy things together, but that's it. That's all I know."

[Zan] "Did you ask?"

[Denomi] "I… No? I… Well, I asked her about her friends a few times, but she usually said something like 'They're not bad or anything' or something like that."

[Zan closes his eyes and begins to think.]

[Zan, thoughts] "(Why wouldn't she specify who her friends are to her brother? Does she have something to hide? Is it malicious, or is she keeping them a surprise, considering they're coming over to meet him for the first time.)"

[Denomi] "I hope they're not bad… I also hope they don't see me and start making fun of me."

[Soon, their drinks arrive, given to them by the Skovet waitress.]

[Skovet] "Would you like help getting your straw in, sir?"

[Zan opens his eyes, looks over to the Skovet, and nods. He watches her take the straw out the paper and stick it into his drink for him.]

[Zan] "Thanks."

[After an expression of gratitude, the Skovet leaves them to their business. Denomi goes to put his own straw in his cup as he speaks.]

[Denomi] "You've dealt with having siblings, right?"

[Zan] "Only child."

[Zan carefully pulls his cup towards him with his scythe arms and closes his eyes before he sips from the straw.]

[Denomi] "What about that Scyther girl?"

[Zan] "Cousin."

[Denomi] "Oh. Well, have you ever met her friends?"

[Zan] "Once…"

[Zan keeps his eyes closed as he remembers his tale.]

[Zan, uncomfortable] "It was… humiliating."

[He remembers the giggles of many young girls, the feeling of fabric all around his body, the clinking impact of plastic, and the annoyed groans that came out of his young, child mouth.

His lack of explanation makes Denomi even more worried.]

[Denomi, worries] "I don't want to make a fool of myself. What should I do?"

[Zan shrugs.]

[Denomi, worried] "Come on, you got to have some advice."

[Zan] "I don't kno-"

[Zan pulls his arms in a little too hard and causes his cup to fall over and splash his drink all over himself. He tilts his head down, closes his eyes, hides his face with a scythe arm, inhales deeply, and lets out a groan of discomfort.]

[Denomi, worried] "I'll get the Plain Ribbon…"
