while working on a piece with all the leftovers from the temperature blanket I had set it down to weave in a few ends. when I finished n tried to crochet more, Athena said it was actually break time. at least she's looking out for my health 💜
project scrap yarn scarf was a success! I finished up a total of 5 leftover yarn balls + used up a decent amount of some other random acryl yarn I have lying around.
i made a thing ✨
and also wrote a pattern called „scraps and bobbles cowl“ which you can find on my k🍵fi page.
it‘s very beginner friendly and works perfectly with random bits of leftover yarn ☺️
Finally finished that leftover trans pride yarn... uhhh... more like small towel than blanket.
That black smudge is from when I accidentally got the yarn caught in the dirty wheel of an office chair. Maybe it'll wash out? But it's ok if it doesn't since it was always meant to be mine, and it's practice.
I feel good about my first use of the moss stitch! :3
In honor of Saint Patrick's Day here is my first pattern!
If you have any questions, need help with anything, or I need to correct something, please let me know in the notes!
Notes:
I use American/Canadian terminology.
For experienced crocheters it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. For beginners it may take up to 40 minutes.
Using the weight of yarn and size hook listed, the Shamrock is about 3 inches or 8 centimeters starting from the bottom of the stem to the top of one of the petals.
You can change the size of your Shamrock by decreasing or increasing the weight of yarn and size hook.
You will need:
Worsted weight yarn (weight 4). I used acrylic, but you can use any fiber.
Size 3.75 mm crochet hook (size F)
Scissors (or a sword if you're not a coward)

I had a very stressful day within the last week and I made both of these within a 24hr period to destress. They’re dice bags that are an ode to the iconic sewing girlies!
Image ID under the cut and in alt text.
Image ID: a photo of two red dice bags with green draw strings. The one on the left is bigger and meant to look like a tomato and the one on the right is smaller and meant to be a strawberry. In front of these bags are the tomato pin cushion & strawberry needle sharpener.
Hippity, Hoppity, [Generic Spring Holiday] Is On Its Way
Clearly, I've been crocheting.
These were made with the keyhole scarf leftovers that didn't become hearts and a bag of 15 year old sock yarn leftovers.
I adapted a free crochet pattern from Ravelry.
The main change I made was adding one more round at the end of 6 decreases before purse-stringing the end. I also didn't start with a magic loop, I just chained 2 and made 6 sc in a round to start off. I used an F hook.
the yarn when I finish a new square with a different lace pattern and realize that this yarn is a different weight than the others so they won’t line up even if they’re the same number of stitches.
