others and by that i mean the thought that hit me just now: no can really replicate-replace the nolan joker
me: ur right
also me: and ur wrong full heartily and simultaneously full stop .
also another me: my evidence is just two other ppl can - in tv and film - and that's both scott mcclure and tatiana maslany.
no i shouldn't have to explain why 5'4" tatiana can pull off 6'1" ledger and mcclure joker full stop. but she can. and scott can do 6'1" leda 5'4" clones.
scene by scene beat by beat no change, they can do it.

Don’t know if you know the name Marc Scott Zicree. He’s probably the best expert on Twilight Zone and Rod Serling after Anne Serling. He’s also written for Babylon 5, Star Trek: TNG, Star Trek: DS9, Sliders, etc.
He created a new independent sci-fi show called Space Command. It’s rather silly, the effects aren’t great, but they do have some fun stars from some of the shows he’s worked on - like Bill Mumy (Twilight Zone, Lost in Space), Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek TOS), Doug Jones (Star Trek Discovery, Crimson Peak, Pan's Labyrinth, so much more), Bruce Boxleitner (Babylon 5), Bob Picardo (Star Trek VOY) and Armin Shimerman (Star Trek DS9)!
He’s doing a kickstarter for another season of this show. Only a few days left and VERY close to the goal!
It’s reminiscent of the 90s sci-fi in the 90s, and although it is certainly not high budget, the story is interesting and it's quite nice seeing all the familiar faces.
First episode , Redemtion, is here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aG_mSObcWrE
If you like it, check out the kickstarter.
And Marc has said in his youtube lives that he's definitely interested in finding digital artists!

Based on Daphne Du Maurier’s 1938 novel, by Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay, two of the most successful German-language musical theatre creators, ‘Rebecca’ has already captivated more than two million people worldwide in hugely successful productions in 12 countries and 10 languages. ‘Rebecca’ had its world premiere at VBW’s Raimund Theater in Vienna, Austria, in September 2006, where it went on to play to sold-out houses in three seasons, and where it is currently enjoying a hugely successful revival. Richard Carson (Maxim de Winter) has appeared in several major West End musicals including‘Les Miserable’s, ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, ‘Mamma Mia!’ and ‘Miss Saigon’. Lauren Jones (Second Mrs de Winter) recently appeared in the West End production of ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ as Trish and alternate Bonnie. Kara Lane (Mrs Danvers) was Alice in ‘The Addams Family - the Musical Comedy’, Winifred Banks in ‘Mary Poppins’, Reno Sweeney in ’Anything Goes’ at Kilworth House, ‘Mary Magdalene’ in Jesus Christ Superstar’ and Magenta in ‘The Rocky Horror Show’. The rest of the cast are: Alex James-Ward, Piers Bate, Sarah Harlington, David Breeds, Amanda Minihan, Neil Moors, Nicholas Lumley, Nigel-Joseph Francis, Elliot Swann, Scott McClure, Emily Apps, Melanie Bright, Gail MacKinnon, Tarisha Rommick, James Mateo-Salt, Rosie Glossop. Rebecca will play a strictly limited engagement from 4 September – 18 November 2023.

what was the research process for The Elektra Complex like? Like for writing that time period, and for kass's section, the Vietnam war and the personal experiences she had pre-war? (and anything else or none of those. i just love hearing about people's research process!)
I read a lot of translations of and theses about the Oresteia and a lot of memoirs from people who lived in the places/time periods I wrote about! I also actually got to see a lot of the Savannah and Charleston settings (the ones that exist) in person. The most helpful things I read were The Girl in the Picture: The Story of Kim Phuc, the Photograph, and the Vietnam War by Denise Chong, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt, The Tomb of Agamemnon by Cathy Gere, Imagining Aeschylus as Clinical Experience by Richard Trousdell, Spoken Like A Woman: Speech and Gender in Athenian Drama by Lauren McClure, Exquisite Corpses and Other Bodies in the Electra Plays by Nancy Worman, Christa Wolf's travel essays, The Atlanta Ballet Collection 1929-1984 from Emory University, Electra After Freud: Myth and Culture by Jill Scott, and The Best Kept Secret: the Sexual Abuse of Children by Florence Rush. Some of these are better than others but they all influenced how I approached the various angles of the story.
At some point I had 100+ tabs of just reference pages/articles open for a period of 2 years, so getting to close them all out after finishing the final draft was like a second weight being lifted.

There was a post on here I saw today and I thought it was so funny and I thought i rebloged it but I didn’t
It was Lisa Miller from Scott pilgrim and she’s like “hi I’m Lisa and I’m the latest reject” and then Tord from Eddsworld, Chef from South Park and Troy McClure from the Simpson’s are like “Hi Lisa.” and there’s a banner above them that says rejects anonymous.
If anyones seen it please send me it 🙏

SYNOPSIS

Tumblr media
This series was inspired by GOD HIMSELF , my personal life , my own spiritual experience , and journey of self. The people , places , and events that occur are loosely based from things I have witnessed or partook in; or are inspired by the lives of those whom surround me in which I love dearly. I wrote this series to have conversations about those uncomfortable and controversial topics , in hopes of bringing darkness to the light so that people can heal their hidden traumas. I’d kindly advise you NOT to steal any of my work as it is protected legally binding underneath Copyright Law with THE ARTIVERSE PRODUCTIONS and Wattpad Corp. — Artist the Author

THEN GOD
MADE THEM BLUE
Has anyone ever heard of the saying ,
‘FATE HAS A FUNNY WAY OF WORKING ITS SELF OUT?’
On the dreary morning of October 14th , 1999 , sixteen year old Prodigy of The Arts , Goapele Scott was officially declared missing fourty-eighty hours after she was nowhere to be found within her self acclaimed hometown of Macabre , Georgia. Sources say that she was last spotted in a heated disagreement with longtime family friend Georgia State University's Star Basketball Player seventeen year old Xodus Casanova.
The two not only knew each other very well , but also allegedly concocted a plan to run away together which led authorities to believe that the Elite Division I Power Forward had involvement in Goapele's disappearance-however , that could not be any further from the case. Twenty long years , never ending pain , severe strife , and many tears later she mysteriously returns opening Pandora's box.
Two worlds collide after demons from their pasts force them both into a whirlwind of mayhem. Goapele and Xodus were two traumatized souls , but by the power of truth , God made them BLUE.
The question is , WILL THEY SURVIVE LONG ENOUGH TO WATCH IT COME INTO FRUITION ?

Hello my favorite heauxs!—and to those of you who don’t already know me I hope you’re enjoying your experience in the Artiverse. I want to start off by saying that my name is Artist Oriental , and I’m just an anomalous child of The Most High here baring gifts and fruits to give to the collective. For the past decade and a half I have been perfecting the craft of storytelling , and I’m at a point in my practice where I’m focused on broadening my horizons and expanding the audience I’ve been blessed to entertain and edify. From filling up notebooks all day long in class to hundreds and thousands of reads on Wattpad , my love for the art of literacy has never faded. Throughout the years I’ve been a breathing witness to the evolution of Artist as a person , creator , and soul—and may I say she’s come a mighty long way. As I grow older and enter my quarter century milestone , I find more and more that my work is often a reflection of my peculiar perception with the perfect blend of my eccentric imagination. With that being said; GOD WILL BE PRESENT IN ALL OF ARTIST THE AUTHOR’S CONTENT. I will not denounce the reality that I know to be true , experience , and choose to express. If that is unsettling for you my world may not be tailored to your liking , therefore feel free to roam at YOUR OWN DISCRETION. You can expect that the majority of work coming from me is more than likely to have some sort of spiritual aspect in it. There will also be lots of poetic vibes and a great deal of strong adult themes that usually hold HEAVY CONTROVERSY. At times my writing can get crude and dark , I tend to hound in on the gruesome details because I want readers to feel every raw emotion , but don’t be alarmed you’ll always be forewarned. Within The World of Artist have the opportunity to find all types of experiences from different genres like Urban Fiction all the way to Sci-Fi , so it’ll be hard not to get immersed. I chose this series as my debut piece because of how much it means to me at a soul level , and it further exhibits the growth I’ve had since deciding to master the element of literature. It’s also in hindsight my first ever official screenwriting piece which makes me all the more excited as I am intimated. Please take your time trekking through the universe I’ve created , and know that when you’re here things normally are vague and obscure at a first glance; sometimes it may feel a bit riddling to latch onto—but I promise you all there is a method to my madman ways. I’m gonna finish off with saying a big thank you to GOD for invoking divine favor upon everything that I am , Nothing would exist to be if it weren’t for my Guide and I’m standing under that irrefutable truth. All praise goes to The Most High , forever and ever. Remember that everything you need or desire is already within you; Create the World that’s Yours. Until next time my little Jezebels , be the influence not the influenced. — Artist the Author

Ok so, I tried my hardest not to talk about the whole Funny Girl fiasco but the Tonys performance really irked me and apparently it didn't bother reviewers as much as it bothered me.
Let's call it all for what it is.
The production thought they could transfer the West End revival as it was and it would work out. So, they cast accordingly to what they had done in said revival, because Sheridan Smith and Beanie Feldstein aren't that different performance-wise, when you listen to them side by side.
Sheridan Smith's take was less vocally powerful and more comedic and physical, to be closer to the real Fanny Brice. It isn't a strange decision, it makes sense to want to revive a show and do it differently than what it used to, especially since the real person who was being represented in the show got watered down in the subsequent years because of one specific performance that took over the interpretation of her entire person forever.
If you think about it, it's kind of weird that people think of Fanny Brice as a character played by Barbra Streisand before they think of her as an actress who existed and who, aside from her personal relationships, was very meaningful in her career and what she represented in the entertainment industry of her time.
So, it makes sense wanting to separate Fanny Brice, the real person, from Barbra Streisand, the real person, by bringing in an actress who would be closer to what Fanny's uniqueness for the entertainment world would mean for a 2020s stage. Beanie Feldstein as a fat queer Jewish girl would be that and her vocals and Sheridan Smith's vocals aren't that far from each other.
The problem was never that choice. The problem was that they failed to understand that US Americans want to see Barbra Streisand more than they want to see Fanny Brice.
They wanna go see Funny Girl to see Barbra because that's what the role became to them. They want to hear those vocals, because the book remains weak but what can save it for them isn't comedy, physicality or who is closest to Fanny Brice in this day and age, but Streisand vocals that can bring the house down.
Beanie wasn't a wrong casting decision for a revival of Funny Girl, she was a wrong casting decision for a revival of Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl.
That inability to read the room the production had isn't the only issue, though, they also failed to commit to that view when things got nasty and decided that letting Beanie take the whole blame was the best thing to do to save their pockets.
Instead of defending their stance, of trying to re-work the show to make more evident what they wanted to highlight to differentiate this version, they threw Beanie under the bus and let her get all the nasty vitriolic hate that was, obviously, made grater by the fact that she is, as I said, a queer fat Jewish woman. Because you can say you just dislike her vocals all you want but when people are calling her a cow and sending her hate throughout her engagement to her now wife, I think you have to look at the bigger picture.
There are a lot of folks out there, especially thin women, who justify their rejection on Beanie saying things like "I don't think it's about her body, there are tons of other fat actresses who would have done a good job".
The problem is that no fat actors are getting leading roles in revivals of known shows where the leads weren't fat to begin with. Even in 2023, fat actors have to originate roles to be considered for them, and when they're leading roles, most often than not, their weight is part of the storyline.
Even then, we get thin actors in fat suits (like Josh Groban in Comet or Rob McClure in Mrs. Doubtfire) or thin actors playing characters that were originally fat (like Sherie Rene Scott as Ursula) more often than fat actors.
If being a famous actress or coming from a famous linage gave Beanie Feldstein the shot to become a fat queer actress being chosen for a revival of a role otherwise given to a thin straight actress, then by all means, let her, because they sure as heck aren't gonna do an open casting call for fat performers for it, nor are they rushing to do it ever again. If Beanie being famous helps open the door for others after her, so be it.
This year, the Tonys finally recognized Alex Newell and Bonnie Milligan and there were other fat performers nominated in supporting categories but that's the thing, it's always supporting categories, unless they're originating a role that has to do with their fatness, like Jaquel Spivey (who didn't even win but boy did he deserve it).
So, it wasn't enough, though, that they drove Beanie Feldstein away from the production, they let her deal with all the backlash and then replaced her with L*a M*chele because the drama of it all would at least get people engaged and who cares if you cast someone with a myriad of known accusations of the most toxic stuff, as long as she can sing as close to Barbra as possible and look as traditional for a romantic leading lady as possible.
When they let her perform at the Tonys and I saw a lot of known people who talk about community and respect giving her a standing ovation, all I could think of was how much that showcased the paper thin commitment to respect that these people really have.
It was a great night for performers who deserved wins for so long and they had been elusive for them for who they are, like Bonnie Milligan, Alex Newell and J Harrison Ghee. But to end it with this was a showcase of how little people matter in the grand scheme of things for the entertainment industry and how any kind of diversity or solidarity goes only as far as their pockets will allow.

Hiii!
Who's your fav versions of the Joker?
I really like the btas version (is it weird that I find him pretty he's literally a drawing 🤣 and he's an asshole) and the Valeskas, I'm actually at a loss for words as to why on earth the Valeskas haven't been used for anything else, they could each have thier own animated movie or a comic mini series at least! 😢 Also it goes without saying but Ledger!Joker is phenomenal though I did once have an awful nightmare about him when I was younger 🤣 was legit terrified of him, unpopular opinion but I'm kinda indifferent to Phoenix!Joker
Also just for kicks, do you have a favorite batman?
My absolute NUMBER ONE favorite forever until I die is Heath Ledger's Joker!!!
I hopped onto the Joker train when I was 16 bc I found a gameplay of Batman: Arkham Origins, which leads me to any video game Joker! Honestly when I say this I also mean BtAS!Joker bc Mark Hamill voices them both and he's A LEGEND
Jerome is tied with second place bc I still remember his switch up in the interrogation room after he killed his mother like it was yesterday 😭😭 I stood from my couch and literally screamed I was so excited! Cameron Monaghan took that character and made it his own (Jeremiah too, he grew on me) and that alone made me watch Shameless and any other show/movie he was in LMAO
My third favorite is definitely Arthur Fleck! I don't think your opinion is unpopular, honestly I've heard quite a few people say that or that they just don't like it lmao. I really enjoyed it for what it was, it was nothing I was expecting but somehow still everything I was expecting and more once I caught on to how the story was going. Now what I AM slightly skeptical about is the sequel, but I won't lie and say I'm not gonna see it in theaters still lmao
As for the Bats, I wouldn't say I have a favorite. In The Dark Night, I really enjoyed Bruce Wayne more than Batman if that makes sense 💀
I would have to pick baby boy Bruce from Gotham! I feel like that counts 😂
EDIT: I place Scott McClure's portrayal as The Joker in his web series The Joker Blogs as my favorite as well because it was supposed to be a continuation of The Dark Knight :)

hey
so i realized that any gif that used to have the source where if you click the gif to open a new page, it used to go to where you went as the source of said gif and not the blog and now google and tumblr are saying those gifs are mine and im sitting here like damn yall deactivated all these blogs so heres this.
btw for those new here: the regenerations posts where the gifs are for each face of my ocs? those are deactivated blogs now. and i dont know where the fuck they are except for like the most recent ones.
and most of those gifs are from gif hunts that were around in 2014 and back so. and just roughly ever gif was from a post that i have reblogged where it contains said source of gif [if i havent made a specific gif myself via the tag mv: mungifs]
so if i start popping up as the source of these gifs after using google image search source and you dont see where that gif is originated from thats not this one - its afucking lie i was there but the original owner of the gifs and tumblrs shoddy tag search make it the true source deactivated and that post gone unless preserved by a reblog and thats all before the tumblr updates.
so if you find the sources for all the other ones which is like 300+ (because i only did scott mcclure and david tennant and park si eun (1980) gifs for vin/v but everybody else is everybody elses so anything made in 2010 2014 and you made a photopost via link url: its now gone. and now you are the owner instead of the source of the person who made the gif in the first place so i despise that lil subtle development. because now i've lost essentially a big limb of bookmarked sources via links)
and im not taking them down because im still looking for them as well and thats all i got to go on. that relic of a time long gone.
like all those that came from free gif packs are gone. they are fucking gone or rather i cannot find them that isnt serach engines trying to gaslight me that i made these gifs knowing full well my gifs are not pretty in comparison and are very nearly 300 frames but resized to the others 30 to 80 fps. and most of those gifs pack a large majority of them came from the gifmakers themselves. all of them are gone.
its annoying and i hate it. and no one has complained about it yet. but i am im complaining what the fuck tumblr please you cant just link it to wayback or something? help me out damn.
