“Shoot! Y/n/n were gonna be late! Come on.” Maila shouted after seeing the time on Stiles' watch. She jumped up grabbing her bag and y/n’s wrist, pulling her along with her to the class they were gonna be late for.
“Wait-” Stiles called after them but they were already to far away to hear him. “Maila’s sure in a rush. Y/n forgot her sketchbook.”
“Shit. She’s gonna freak. I’ll make sure she gets it.” Scott picks it up. He could tell that a lot of the pages had been used up just by looking at the sides. Throughout the day he hadn’t been able to find his sister to give it back to her, but his will also broke when he couldn’t take it anymore and peaked. But what he found made him keep looking and the more he looked the more concerned he got. The more he realized he hadn't been a good brother.
Later that day after school once Y/n came home she entered their home and sat down in the kitchen where her mom was getting ready to leave for work.
“What's wrong, sweetheart?” Melissa asked upon looking at her daughter and seeing her mood.
“I lost my sketch book at school.” Y/n whined as she rested her head on her folded arms. Not at all happy that anyone could just look in it.
“I’m sure you’ll find it at school tomorrow. Go to the Office tomorrow and see if they found it. “ Melissa suggested hoping that it would help. Y/n was very attached to it so she was sure her daughter was very stressed.
“Yeah.” Y/n grunted that's all she could do.
“I’ll see you and your brother tomorrow.” she told her as she walked over kissing Y/n on the head before leaving to start her long night shift.
“Bye mom.” Y/n could out as her mom shut the door.
With that Y/n decided to grab a snack and headed up stairs to her room. She was alone in there for a while doing homework before Scott came knocking on her bedroom door leaning against the door jam.
“Hey.” he said once, getting her attention. “Found this today. You left it at lunch.”
Y/n looked up and noticed he was holding her missing sketch book. “Thanks. I was worried someone took it.” She replied as she entered her room and handed it to her.
There was a moment of silence before Scott spoke. Trying to figure out what exactly he wanted to say. “Y/n.”
“Hmmm” Y/n hummed not looking up at him.
“I know we’ve been busy the last couple years with all the supernatural stuff-”
“You looked in it didn’t you.” Y/n cut him off, holding her sketchbook tightly to her chest.
“Yeah.” Scott nodded, admitting shamefully. “Y/n, you can talk to me. About anything and everything, at any time. You know that right?”
Y/n shrugged. “We’ve just been so busy and you’ve been dealing with Alpha stuff-”
Scott shook her head as he moved to sit on Y/n’s bed next to her. “I’ve been a terrible brother and I’m sorry. Can we promise we’ll talk more when somethings bothering us?”
Y/n smiled, it was weak but it was enough to encourage Scott. So he pulled her into him, hugging her. Something they hadn’t done in a long time it seemed.
“Yeah, I think I can do that.”

Located about an hour south of Mt. Shasta is your sleepy town of Beacon Hills, California. Beacon Hills was most known for the burgers on 9th Street, Christmas tree lights downtown, and the werewolf population. It was also a place that tended not to get very cold, just slightly chilly. It didn’t stop the residents from wishing they could enjoy the type of winter seen on their TV screens, with big fluffy snowflakes and subzero temperatures. So when it was announced that the lacrosse tournament would be held near Mt. Shasta with a surprise trip up the mountain for all winter activities, almost all the students signed up.
You had signed up for the trip and the rest of your pack before you started avoiding Scott. Everyone in the pack could notice your tension, but no one said anything. Since Thanksgiving break, when you had almost kissed at Lydia’s party. You were interrupted by the usual werewolf drama. Now, there was something unspoken between you guys, and instead of addressing it (like adults), you have resorted to ignoring the problem until it eventually blows up in your faces.
Currently, you were standing with a duffel bag outside the bus waiting to load on. Climbing the stairs, you averted your eyes as you noticed Scott perk up at your entrance. The last thing you wanted to do was spend an hour on a bus with the guy you had an unestablished thing with. Quickly, you sat down next to Malia, who jumped at your sudden movement.
“What’s up with you?” Malia asked, pulling out her earbuds. You shoved your bag under the seat and curled up into yourself, ignoring the question. “Hello?”
“Just sitting next to a friend,” you smiled. Unfurling, you grabbed your book out of your bag. Malia was still looking at you.
“Is it because of Scott?” Malia inquired. You choked at the question. Malia rolled her eyes. “Everyone knows, I’m just the first to say anything.”
“Not surprising,” you mumbled, earning a jab from Malia’s elbow. “But yes, it might be about Scott.” Malia seemed to think about your answer, a pensive expression on her face.
“Why don’t you talk to him?” Malia waited for your answer, but you couldn’t give one. Not when you were too cowardly to admit anything. So, instead, she just offered you one of her earbuds, and you graciously accepted it, listening to music for the rest of the ride. The drive to the mountain wasn’t too bad, and you spent most of it asleep with your head on Malia’s shoulder. She was aloof but recently had become a good friend to you. You recognized her struggle in adjusting to real life again, and she appreciated that she never felt the need to justify things to you. It’s how you knew she would be blunt about Scott but never pressured you too much.
The lacrosse tournament happened at the beginning of the trip, so that whatever the outcome, the team could either celebrate or destress depending on the outcome. Coach Finstock wasn’t excited to deal with a bunch of teenagers for four days, but there were at least other teacher chaperones to help him. This was great for the students and Coach– neither had to deal exclusively with the other. You and Malia went to the closest cafe to get refreshments before the game. Malia had been on the journey of discovering if she liked coffee or tea, and so far, she hated all of it. She opted to get a Diet Coke while you treated yourself to a white mocha to stay awake for the game and the rest of the trip. When you finally left the cafe, you were happy that Lydia had saved you some seats. She refused ever to have a wrong view and scared off multiple sophomores. Lydia took a glance at Malia’s drink.
“Gave up on tea and coffee?”
“Why does it taste so bitter?” Malia grumbled, earning a smile from you and the redhead beside you. You saw Scott run onto the field, throwing on his helmet as he did so. Your eyes were glued to him, and you felt yourself wringing your hands anxiously as the game started. Fun fact: you had no clue how lacrosse worked, but based on the chants from the stands, you could surmise when things were going well. Scott appeared to score a goal, and you found yourself shooting up and hollering just as loudly as the rest of the Beacon Hills kids. Malia gave you a pointed look, which you happily ignored. Forgetting for a second that Scott had super-hearing, he turned to look up at you in the stands, and you felt your breath catch as he sent you a smile. Great, so he could hear you being a lunatic. He didn’t look at you for the rest of the game, but Beacon Hills won.
There wasn’t much time to assemble on the field and congratulate the field, so everyone was sharing compliments back on the bus. Squeezing through the aisles, a hand grabbed you as you tried to walk by. You made eye contact with Scott and felt a claw grip your heart.
“Hey,” he whispered meekly, as uncomfortable as you were. He looked at the hand holding you still and immediately let go. His instincts beat out his brain.
“Nice game,” you smiled, running away before he could respond. You shoved in next to Malia again, who gave you an annoyed look. You silenced her before she could make any comment.
Half an hour later, you ended up at the lodge where everyone would be staying. Forgetting your troubles, you happily glanced out the window at the beautiful brown lodge looming ahead of you. It was covered in snow, but faint lights twinkled from the archway. Everyone ran inside quickly, not wanting to be caught in the snowdrift. The inside was even more beautiful. It looked straight out of a storybook. Beautiful wood is finished, and multiple levels boast stone fireplaces and windows looking out at snowcapped trees. Coach gave out room keys to assigned pairs (you were stuck with some junior girl before Malia bullied her into changing assignments). Coach Finstock also lectured about not bothering him at any point, even if you were dying. Not even a good game could change his attitude on helping children.
You got up to your room on the third floor with Malia and smiled at the log beds with red and white quilts. There was a view of a ski lift out of your window and an en suite bathroom with tiny bottles of shampoo and lotion. You dropped your bag by a bed and happily jumped on it, turning into a starfish as you sighed heavily.
“You slept for most of the bus ride. How are you still tired?” Malia asked, catapulting onto her bed.
“Sleeping in a vehicle is different from sleeping in your bed,” you mumbled, your voice muffled because of the sheets. You both sat silently, enjoying being on a warm bed. “Scott looked sad.”
“How would you know?” you inquire, rolling over so your face is unobstructed by the bed.
“I saw him,” Malia picked up a loose thread on the quilt. “He looked sad. Probably because you’re ignoring him.”
“I am avoiding a potentially disastrous situation,” you argue.
“You’re being chicken,” Malia said, throwing a pillow at you when you made a noise in disagreement. “He likes you, or at least cares about what you think, and you’re avoiding him because of your fear.” You stayed silent, not denying her words. “I’m about to kick you out of this room to go and find him.”
“You wouldn’t.”
“I would,” Malia raised a brow, gesturing with her hands for you to leave. You grumbled about her being maybe right, something that she smiled at. She was right, and you resented it. You hid from Scott because admitting feelings was hard, and you liked him a lot. Leaving the room in a huff, you wandered the hall, harassing various students about where Scott was staying. Unsurprisingly, he was sharing a room with Stiles. Unfortunately, he was not in that room. After carefully investigating, you found him outside in one of the hot tubs. You paused on the threshold, holding your coat closer to yourself as you saw him lean his head back against the lip of the tub. Water droplets gathered on his chest, and his hair was flattened against his forehead. He looked gorgeous, and it frightened you how much you liked him. You found the strength to put one foot in front of the other, ending up in front of the hot tub and capturing the werewolf's attention.
“I was told I could find you out here,” you said, wrapping your arms around yourself.
“You’re talking to me now?” Scott said, his voice sharp.
“I’m…yes,” you stumbled, sitting down on the rim of the hot tub. It was a rough Norwegian wood that you ran your fingers over as you refused eye contact.
“Y/N,” Scott sighed. “Did I do something wrong?”
“No, no,” you turned to face him, hating the sad puppy eyes he seemed to have constantly. “I just…I’m not good at being emotionally available, and what almost happened between us was enough to make me the least communicative person in the universe.”
“I wanted it to happen,” Scott whispered. “I missed talking to you.”
Your heart broke at his words. You always loved how kind Scott was how loyal and careful he was with people. You hated that you hurt his feelings. Without giving much of a second thought, you peeled off your jacket and shucked your jeans, standing in a t-shirt and underwear as you got into the hot water. Scott jumped back from surprise as the water splashed around. The warmth seeped through your bones, and you almost sighed as the cold left your body. Instead, you waded closer to Scott, close enough that you could grab his hand under the water.
“I like you,” you admitted. “I…missed you too.” You leaned in, not letting your doubt stop you as you kissed Scott. It’s what you meant to do weeks ago, and now that it was happening, you didn’t regret it. Your hands ran up his chest to his shoulders, enjoying the feel of his muscles under your hands. He kissed you back, gripping your hips and bringing you closer. You liked the slight growl he made when you tugged on his hair. You lifted your knees to straddle his lap, letting his chest press against yours. Scott let his lips trail down your jaw to your neck.
“I’m glad you’re talking to me again,” Scott mumbled against your neck, nipping the skin there as you gasped.
“I’m sorry for not talking to you,” you gasped, feeling Scott's hands tentatively under your wet shirt. You kissed the corner of his mouth, feeling his jaw underneath your lips. You could’ve lived the rest of your life in this moment, in Scott's arms with Scott’s lips. Except much like everything in Scott’s life, Stiles was always there.
“Woah, finally,” Stiles laughed, appearing out of nowhere and scaring both of you. You fell to the side of the tub, still gripping Scott’s shoulders. Scott glared at Stiles. “I was waiting for you two to stop tip-toeing around each other.”
“Stiles,” Scott growled.
“Aww, you guys have such cute, rosy cheeks. Is it from the hot water or the hot makeout?” Stiles teased. Scott carefully put you aside so he could run out of the tub and attempt to tackle Stiles. You couldn’t stop the laugh escaping your throat as you watched the two boys try to wrestle each other to the ground. At least, you could call one of those boys yours.

And They Were Twins
Full Masterlist | Teen Wolf Masterlist
Anonymous Request: Hi! Could you do an angsty, kinda Twin! Reader x brother best friend! Stiles? Where Scott’s not been a great brother and is never there for her, and Stiles notices and confronts him. (I swear I don’t want Scott to be evil; I just had a lightbulb moment today).
Summary: Being twins has its ups and downs. For you, it mainly consists of multiple 'downs'. You and Scott, your twin, were always close growing up, but since starting high school, he changed. He began not supporting you, not attending your track meets, and just overall not being there for you. Your best friend, Stiles, takes notice of it and doesn't hesitate to confront Scott, his other best friend.

Stiles Stilinski x-reader
(Third Person View)
Y/N stood in front of the mirror, putting her hair away from her face. She had exactly one hour until she had to leave for her track meet. Y/N overslept a bit but managed to wake up before her mom got mad at her. Y/N adjusted the strap of her tank top. Her mom lightly knocked on her door.
"Yeah?" Y/N grabbed the maroon headband from her vanity. Melissa, Y/N and Scott's mother, opened the door. "Hey, ready for the meet?" she asked. Y/N nodded and pulled out a few strands of hair, so it framed her face. Melissa leaned against the frame of the door with her arms crossed.
She smiled at her daughter, admiring as Y/N quickly applied some makeup, not that she needed it. Y/N looked up at her mother and noticed her expression. "What?" she said. Melissa sighed and stood up straight. "Scott isn't able to make it to your meet," she said. Y/N's shoulders dropped at the news.
That would've been the fourth meet that Scott has missed. It seemed as of lately that he was never at her events. Like, when she had a choir concert her freshmen year, Scott never showed up. Or, when she won an award at a school program, Scott wasn't there.
Now, it was their senior year, and Scott continued. Stiles was really the only one who noticed, but Y/N insisted that it was fine, stating that she was used to it at this point. It didn't matter that she and Scott were the same age, Y/N looked up to Scott in a way.
But now, she was beginning to question if she should be looking up to him. "Oh," was all Y/N had to say. "I'm sorry," her mother said. Y/N smiled softly and went back to getting herself ready. Melissa kissed her daughter on the forehead.
Y/N's phone vibrated from beside her. Stiles' silly face popped up on the screen, telling Y/N that he messaged her:
Billinski: Hey! Good luck today. Me and my dad are on our way.
Y/N: Great!
Billinski: Is Scott coming?
Y/N: No
Bilinski: Y/N/N, that's like the fifth time.
Y/N: Fourth time
Bilinski: Doesn't matter
Bilinski: We'll see you there tho!
She smiled at his messages and put her phone down, getting up from her vanity. Y/N grabbed her bag, dropping an extra pair of clothes and some other things she thought she might need. Her mother was waiting in the living room, playing some random game on her phone.
"Ready," Y/N said, slipping on her sneakers. Melissa grabbed her purse, and the two of them set off to the rival school. Y/N sat in the passenger seat, wishing that Scott was sitting in the back, but part of her knew that would never happen.
It didn't take long till they pulled into the parking lot. Y/N got out first, telling her mom that she'd see her later. Y/N joined her friends on the side where their coach waited patiently. Sally and Becca, Y/N's teammates, high-fived Y/N as they walked over.
Their coach gave them his normal pep talk, reminding them who was doing each event. Y/N was happy that she was doing hurdles and distance medley, two things she was good at. A few minutes passed and it was time for the meet to start.
Y/N stood in her spot. Her friends stood on either side of her. She spotted her mom, Stiles, Mr. Stilinski, and Lydia in the stands. Stiles gave Y/N a thumbs up while Lydia screamed Y/N's name. Y/N smiled and turned her head to the man on the side.
He raised his hand, and the race started, beginning with the distance medley. Y/N started off slow before gaining enough speed to run past her opponents. She breathed in and out, controlling her breathing when she began to feel her legs ache. The end of the medley came, landing her in tenth place.
She rested her hands on her hips, catching her breath. Her family and friends cheered her on from the stands. Sally, Becca, and Y/N exchanged a fist bump before turning their attention to the other events. Next came the hurdles, Y/N's second and last event of the meet.
Y/N took a quick sip of her water before joining the other girls. She let out a heavy sigh, positioning herself like she always did. Then the whistle blew, and everyone was off. She jumped over each hurdle, careful not to brush the top. Y/N thought she was careful enough, but her foot collided with the top of the hurdle.
She stumbled forward, her arms meeting the track before the hurdle fell on her leg. The cheering of the crowd paused, along with everyone who was running the event. Y/N winced, trying to get the hurdle off her leg. Her coach and the nurse ran over to where Y/N sat.
The nurse set a hand on Y/N's shoulder, looking at her ankle. "Okay, honey, let's get you up," the nurse said. Y/N winced when she was lifted from the ground with the help of the nurse and her coach. Melissa didn't hesitate to run down the bleachers with the others following.
________
(Later At The Hospital. Third Person View)
Y/N laid on the hospital bed, her leg elevated. She hadn't realized how hard she hit her foot and leg on the hurdle, mainly focusing on how it felt to have everyone's eyes on her once she fell. Stiles and Lydia hadn't left Y/N's side since they arrived at the hospital.
Her mother was out speaking with the doctor. Thankfully, it didn't appear that Y/N had been severely injured, but it still landed her with a low chance of participating in another track meet or practice.
"How're you feeling?" Lydia asked.
Y/N sighed and shrugged her shoulders. Stiles walked into the room with some snacks in hand. "Okay, the cafeteria didn't have many options, but I got the ones that I think you'd like," he said.
Stiles dropped the snacks at the table and passed a bag to Y/N. She chuckled, opening the bag of chips. "Any news?" he asked. "Not yet. Mrs. McCall is out speaking with the doctor," Lydia answered. Stiles nodded and sat on the bed, making sure he didn't sit on Y/N's foot.
They sat in silence for a bit, listening to the TV in the background. Lydia had put on a terrible Soap Drama but insisted that it was worth the watch. "Have you heard from Scott?" Lydia asked. Y/N sighed again, shaking her head in response. Lydia nodded and didn't say anything, knowing that it wouldn't do well.
Of course, Scott hadn't responded to Y/N's calls or messages. Melissa was pissed, to say the least, even leaving her son different messages and phone calls. Y/N couldn't help but notice Stiles' demeanor change when she answered with just a nod.
He let out a long sigh and threw the half-eaten chip bag into the trash. Stiles grabbed his sweatshirt from the chair, taking out his keys and phone. "Stiles, where are you going?" Lydia asked him. "I'll be back," he said.
"Stiles," Y/N spoke. He looked over his shoulder at Y/N, his face softening at the sight of her expression. He walked over and lightly kissed her forehead. "I'll be right back. I just gotta deal with something real quick," he said. And then he left, confusing both Y/N and Lydia. Lydia shrugged her shoulders and leaned back in the chair.
Meanwhile, Stiles had surprisingly found Y/N's brother. He didn't know what he was going to say to Scott, but he knew what he was feeling, which was frustration. Stiles got out of his Jeep and walked over to the Lacrosse field.
There Scott stood, practicing with Isaac on the other side of the field. "Scott!" Stiles shouted. They stopped what they were doing to turn their attention to Stiles. Scott's brows furrowed with arms swaying from side to side, a hand still holding his Lacrosse Stick.
"I need to talk to you," Stiles said.
Scott looked at Isaac and then back to Stiles, whose brows were raised. "Can't it wait?" Scott remarked. "No," Stiles shook his head. Isaac left the two of them, making his way over to the locker room. It was silent for a second before Stiles broke that pause.
"What the hell is your problem?"
Scott turned to Stiles, his brows now furrowed. He dropped the Lacrosse stick to cross his arms. "You have no idea what you're doing, do you?" Stiles continued. Scott never responded. His arms crossed and brows furrowed said it all.
"Why aren't you ever there for Y/N?" Stiles said, "She does everything for you, yet you do nothing. Like, you missed her track meet for the fourth time. And, now, she's in the hospital. And, you would be there if you had known that."
Scott's face changed suddenly. Since starting high school, as usual with most teenagers, Scott's life changed but more unique than others. With everything that happened to him, Scott never realized how much of an impact it had on the people around him. And now, his twin sister was in the hospital.
Instead of him being in his own world, he'd actually be there for Y/N. Stiles watched as Scott thought to himself. "You're not even gonna say anything? I guess everything that I've said hasn't even made its way into your thick skull," Stiles remarked. Stiles left Scott on the field alone. He got back into his Jeep and headed to the hospital.
________
(Later)
"Good news, Ms. McCall," Doctor Williams said, standing beside the bed. Melissa held her daughter's hand as they listened to the doctor's update. "There doesn't appear to be anything severe. I would keep an eye out on it, it'll swell, but that should go down in a couple weeks," he said, "In the meantime, try to keep less pressure on it."
Dr. Williams explained a bit, stating that there would be a few bruises. Y/N smiled and sighed in relief. It would be a bit before she can join her track friends. Melissa left the room to sign out and get any medication that Y/N might need.
Scott walked down the hallway in his own thoughts. He felt guilty for not knowing about his sister's position. Scott lightly knocked on the door after finding out what room Y/N was in. She turned away from the conversation with Lydia and Stiles.
Her twin brother cleared his throat, hands stuffed in the pockets of his jacket. Stiles looked at Scott, a small smile appearing on his face when he knew that he had gotten through to Scott. He patted Scott on the shoulder as he left the room with Lydia behind him.
"Hey," Scott spoke softly. His sister sat up so Scott had more room to sit. He cleared his throat and broke the awkward pause. "I'm sorry, I don't know if it's too late," Scott said, "But I'm sorry for not being there."
He played with the frayed edge of his jacket. "I've been a complete asshole, and I know that," Scott said, "I guess... ever since I was bitten, everything around me changed. And that doesn't excuse what I've done to you and our friends, especially you."
Y/N softly smiled at her brother's apology. "And I promise that I'm going to be better, Y/N/N. I'm sorry, I really am," Scott finished. She set a hand on his shoulder.
Her action let Scott know that she accepted his apology. He was surprised that she even accepted it, but he was glad. She leaned over and hugged him. Scott sighed, hugging his sister tightly. "I love you, Y/N/N," Scott said. "Love you too," Y/N smiled.

It is nighttime in Beacon Hills, and once again, you are about to die. This is the sort of surprised realization that should have left you long ago, same with the self preservation instinct that seems to have been burned out of everybody else after one too many trials of fire. Beacon Hills will always be dark, deadly, and full of too many people and monsters who wish you harm.
In your defense, this sort of thing used to scare you a lot more than it does now. Death is made of scared children, bloodthirsty adults, all the creatures and humans who wish you harm. It is also something you see on a daily basis. Both facts can coexist, and they do, better even than the supernaturals and men in your own hometown.
You are lost in the woods and someone is chasing you. It is not a nightmare, even if this story seems too familiar to be anything but a vision from your own head. Your nightmares stopped being mere twisted fantasies the moment one of your closest friends, Scott McCall, told you that he was bitten by something strange in the woods many years ago. Everything since then has been all too dreadful a reality.
Twigs are snapping under your feet as you sprint towards your best guess at the end of the trees. The Beacon Hills Preserve has a way of guiding you back to it time and time again. Perhaps that’s because of the Nemeton lurking somewhere in the dense underbrush, using its supernatural strength to cause all problems to be rooted here along with it. Perhaps it’s just because the woods have far fewer chances for its victims to escape. Either way, you’re here, and so is your would-be killer.
This time, you’re not being pursued by a supernatural but a regular person, just like you. Lydia Martin predicted that there would be an important gathering of the hunters some time soon, that Gerard Argent would whip everyone up into a frothing frenzy just like he always does and set them loose on whatever werewolf or banshee or chimera was in their way. Someone would have to go and get some intel, and, seeing as you’re one of the few regular people in your friend group, you volunteered to do it.
It’s not like this was anything new. These sorts of opportunities tend to crop up every month or two, providing you with a fresh chance to risk your neck. You never enjoy the ever increasing likelihood that you’re not going to make it out alive, but what has to be done must be done. Your reluctance is important to guide your conscience, but it cannot control you, no matter how strong a voice it can have.
That cannot be said for every member of your pack. Scott himself is the one who’s most out of control in that aspect. Scott, the bravest man you’ve ever had the privilege of meeting, the one who would lay it all on the line to protect a stranger. Scott, whose need to save the day will get him killed sooner rather than later. Scott, who knows that and jumps wholeheartedly into danger anyway.
In the end, that’s the main reason why you agreed to go spy on the hunter encampment:  you knew that Scott would try to do the same thing if you didn’t. Despite the fact that a werewolf encroaching on so many hunters would basically be suicide, as there would be enough wolfsbane and other traps that they would smell him coming away even without supernatural senses, Scott would do it in a heartbeat if he thought going would protect his friends.
He had half a mind to do it anyway, you only just managed to talk him out of it. Lydia announced her latest vision at the weekly pack meeting, casually bringing it up as she reached for one of the cookies Melissa McCall had left out as an apology that so many members of her generation were trying to kill you. In between powdered sugar bites, your resident banshee told you how you were all going to die if you didn’t figure out what was going on.
Lydia may have grown accustomed to her visions, but the rest of you were less accepting of that fact. Lydia doesn’t want you all dead, of course, she fights just as hard as the rest of you to stop that fate, but Lydia sees your deaths all the time. You’ll only see it once, and then you won’t see anything at all.
So Scott had volunteered to run the espionage trip. Of course he did; it was the latest chance for him to show off his heroism and save the day. Scott doesn’t do it for a purposeful ego trip, he’s too damn good for that, but that didn’t stop your hackles from rising any more than if he’d done it intentionally.
“No,” you’d argued, “that’s a terrible idea and you know it. The hunters are used to spotting wolves. They’ll kill you before you can even hear them say hello.”
Scott had folded his arms across his chest. “Do you have a better idea?” He’d asked, unable to keep a small touch of resentment from his voice.
“I do,” you’d answered calmly, “I’ll go.”
That had upset Scott even more than being robbed of a chance to protect his friends. You’re human, after all, unable to heal yourself or fight like a supernatural, like Scott. Despite his best arguments, though, the rest of your friends saw your side of the argument more clearly, and Scott eventually had his complaints drift off into empty silence, curling up the ceiling like too many coils of smoke.
He’d apologized to you after. He always knows the right time to say the right things. You have a habit of lingering in the McCall kitchen after pack meetings, waiting for everyone else to go so you and Scott can have a secret debrief without anyone watching. The pack is made up of your best friends, your family, but Scott is something more than that. Neither of you are willing to call it what it is, so you let the comfortable stillness of dropping used glasses in the dishwasher and cleaning up someone else’s mess do the talking for you.
“I trust you,” Scott had said as he swept unused napkins off of the table, “you know that, right? This isn’t about that. I know you can do this.”
“I know,” you’d replied, “you don’t have to fight every fight, Scott. Let us do some of the fighting too.”
“I don’t want you to fight,” he’d mused, “I can take more punches, remember?”
You’d rolled your eyes fondly as he pretended to settle into a boxing stance. “How could I forget? You’re out challenging the hunters almost every other day.”
Scott grimaces slightly, hand drifting unconsciously to a spot on his side that must have gotten injured the other day. His ailments may heal themselves within moments, but that doesn’t stop the memory of the pain from lingering.
“That just means I need to stay in practice. I don’t want you getting hurt, Y/N.”
You know better than to say that you won’t get hurt, that’s impossible. Instead, you smile, and let the dim half-light of Scott’s kitchen wash over you in waves of buzzing fixtures and the lingering scent of vanilla extract. “I’ll try my hardest.”
Trying, that’s what you do best. Not succeeding. If you had truly succeeded with your goal of avoiding injury, you wouldn’t be sprinting through the forest as fast as you can, cursing your legs for feeling like they’re going to give out at any second. Lydia’s vision had been true, there was a hunter conference, but she failed to see the exact setup of the event.
Another group of hunters had come as you were settling into a lookout position. They’d wanted to know why some kid was hanging around the premises, which had caught the attention of Gerard Argent. He’d recognized you instantly as one of Scott’s friends and sounded the alarm. Now you’re being pursued by a good many hunters, all freshly armed and full of righteous anti-supernatural propaganda. You’re not a supernatural yourself, but you’re allied with them, and that makes you as good as dead to the bloodthirsty crowd currently chasing you.
They’re closing the gap, too. You’d gotten a decent head start, but against these sorts of numbers, there’s only so much you can do. Unable to keep up the energy any longer, you duck behind a tree, gasping for air through exhausted lungs. It’s pitch black outside, and although your eyes have been adjusting for some time now, you can still barely make out anything beyond a few feet of trees. The dense branches above block out any hopeful tendrils of light that would have otherwise made it down from the stars.
The sound of crashing approaches as the hunters gain on you. You need to start running again, but your chest is heaving so hard you think your ribs might shatter. Just as you’re about to force yourself to get going, though, you hear something else. Something different from what you’d been hearing all this time. Something that sounds like a scream.
You pause a moment, wavering on lifted feet, then the scream comes again. It sounds like it’s from someone else, a different victim than before. The screams start to multiply in number, faster and stronger and drawing ever closer. You hear the hunters calling out to fall back, and only once the running starts to turn in the opposite direction do you dare look out from behind your make-do shelter.
Instead of many silhouettes coming towards you now, there’s only one. You don’t have it in you to be afraid, however; you know this boy, you know him better than anyone.
“Scott,” you breathe.
It’s him. Of course it is. As if Scott would ever pass up the chance to be a hero. As if he would ever be able to live with himself if something happened to you.
You walk over to him, ready to do who knows what, probably chastise him for coming out here or make fun of the hunters, but all words fail you when Scott stumbles once, twice, then collapses on the ground.
You’re next to him in an instant, kneeling on the packed forest floor, heedless of the pinecones and twigs digging into your legs.
“Scott. Scott?” Your voice sounds more desperate the longer Scott takes to respond.
He does so at last, indulging in a painful groan that ends with him coughing up some blood. You still can’t see all that well, so you fumble for your phone and hurry to turn on the flashlight. Scott winces at the sudden onset of light, raising a hand to block his eyes, but you’ve already seen far more damage than you’d like. Scott is covered in cuts, scrapes, arrow wounds, every possible ailment that could befall him.
You curse and douse the light. Scott must be able to sense your horror, because he chuckles quietly in the gloom. “I take it I look just as good as always?”
You shake your head slowly, chilled. “You can’t keep doing this. You can’t.”
“Of course I can,” Scott says weakly.
“No,” you argue, “you’re going to end up dead, and for what? So you could show the hunters up one more time? It’s not worth it. I don’t know why you keep feeling the need to save us all every single day, but it’s killing you. What could possibly make it worth it?”
“You,” Scott whispers through broken and bloody lips, “that’s why. You were hurt. I needed to stop it.”
It makes you sick to your stomach to think that Scott is bleeding out because of you. “That’s not a good enough reason.”
“It is to me,” he says, “always has been.”
You know why. He does too. The two of you have always been rather good at dancing around your feelings, and you’ll do so now. Maybe this is the closest you’ll ever come to a confession, maybe you’ll manage something a little better once you’re certain that Scott is going to pull through. Either way, you take his hand and hold it until he squeezes back. It doesn’t take long. He’s always been a little too eager to please you. That means something, too.
“Just come home with me,” you choke out, “you owe me that much.”
Scott chuckles. “Was saving your life not enough?”
“Not if you’re not here to live it with me,” you declare.
That makes him pause. You get the feeling that Scott had accepted his fate already, that so long as you got out, to hell with him, but you aren’t going to let that happen. It’s both of you or none of you, and so you tell him yourself.
This, at last, is enough to make Scott try again. He sits up slowly, stands with your help. It isn’t easy, getting both of you out of the woods and into civilization. Scott leans on you the whole way back, and stays by your side the whole night, his head tucked against your shoulder. It wasn’t entirely due to injury, however. Scott has always been a fast healer.

The elf and his supernatural harem Pt.2
Character: Deputy Strauss x male reader, Stiles Stilinski x male reader, Scott McCall x male reader, Theo Raeken x male reader
Universe: Teen Wolf
Warnings: Smut
Just as you thought, it took a very long time, especially for the hellhound who fucked you even in the shower. While the human fell asleep about midnight.
In the morning, where the hellhound was tired as never in his life, you send him to bed and went with the human with.
As soon as he stopped at a strange building with multiple of the cars in front that looked like his. Besides all the intimacy you three had in the night, in the breaks, they told you about this world. Also told you that they were peacekeeper. Which was not what you expected. But was still compatible to their different personalities.
You only needed to take one step into with humans flooded building, to know that you were completely out of place. In the eyes of both men, you know were yours, you looked good in your magical produced clothing, even handsome. But still the entire energy in this place was so different from anything you knew.
„Who is this Deputy Strauss?“, an older man asked the one at your side.
„This is my boyfriend Sheriff Stilinski. He just came back from Europe and can’t stay in our apartment, because Parrish is sick.“
While the blond man besides you, spoke to the man that seemed to have the most power in their hierarchy, he shook my hand, what in this human world, was a gesture to greet someone. Strange, but something you could handle.
And as he did it, a smile was plastered on his face. Not completely genuine but at least it was something. Until he named the other deputy. A strange look, came over his face, while he still looked at me. But said nothing.
„He can sit at your desk, but he is not allowed to look at your computer, understood?“ The man at your side nodded willingly with his head.
It didn’t took long until you both sat at the place where the blond man was working. In the instant you sat down, you thought his job would be interesting, like the similar job on you home world. But no, after an hour you finally came to understand, that he would only sit there, sometimes looking at you, but with his focus on his work.
You on the other hand was bored out of your mind, not long after. That was until two young guys came into the building. Panic, fear and desperation lingering as emotions in the air. Strauss hasn’t felt anything different, because his gaze was still on the monitor in front of him.
„Who are they?“, you asked, while your eyes lustfully were going up and down both of the boys bodies. The right one had a sloping jaw, which let him look differently, but still attractive, while the other one was slim, obnoxiously anxious, his eyes going through the building every few seconds. Never laying on one spot longer than necessary. Not even on you, what you saw as an affront.
„These two?“, Strauss asked, as he nod in their direction. You said nothing just looking at them, which was seemingly enough for the man, „The left one is the Sheriffs son and the right is his best friend. Both have girlfriends in the moment and are under eighteen.“ You could hear the warning in his voice, but you did not care. As long as they are over sixteen, everything in your world is legal. That it is different in this one, does not even occurred to you, until you heard his warning voice.
„I don't care,“ you simply stated, ready to jump up any moment. They vanished into the sheriffs office, just to come out a while later. Walking further into the building itself. You took it as your chance to follow them.
The next room was full with iron grids, like in the dungeons you always searched for new fighter for the arena. For some reason they stood in front of one of the cells, where a third person was standing. An arrogant, self absorbed smile on his face. You liked him, before even spoke to him.
Ignoring whatever the two guys outside of the cell was talking about, you walked over to them. For some odd reason, the guy in the cell, looked at you directly, a knowing look in his eyes, before he looked over you. As you followed his eyes, you saw a machine on the wall. A camera as you knew from Strauss, he told you while he worked that most buildings are full of them, ans save whatever happens in them.
Without a second thought, you cut the cables until the camera hang down. Just to look forward again. The smirk on the guys face, widened as you finally locked eyes with him again.
You slowly got the feeling, that he knew more than he should’ve. But did you care in the moment? Not really, you just walked further to the two guys, who haven’t heard anything suspicious for them at least.
The right one with the sloping jaw had a powerful magical core, while the other one human, just as Strauss was somehow powerful too. Most certainly not his own power, but that wasn’t important.
Luckily you got enough magic from Jordan, to bring a spell on the two, without as much as them noticing you. You could feel them getting pent up just standing there, talking to the guy in the cell.
Seductively, you let your fingers slowly wander around their necks, making them shudder unter your touch. But the still not turned around, to far into your magic, to do anything on their own.
„I had peasant boys with less education than you two, who put more of an fight,“ you were whispering in their ears. So that they knew, that weak-minded people, got what they deserved. Their clothing vanishing, while you touched them, until both boys were completely naked in front go the guys cell.
At first you appraised their backsides, peachy bottoms, one muscular back, while the other was just slim, the body of an pure body. That was until you let them both turn around. You were shocked, at what the slim boy hid under his pants.
A cock big ans juicy, which almost could rival the hellhounds, while the slightly more muscular werewolf besides him was above average but not by much.
Not longer than your hands gripping their stone hard cocks, you heard both of them moan simultaneously. While both guys took one of your sides for them, you could look directly at the guy in the cell, he leaned against the front of it, against the metal. His arm first and on this his head. His eyes dark from lust, slowly groping himself trough his pants.
For the moment you ignored him completely, bathing in the obvious horniness of the two guys you had in your hands literally.
Slowly to not hurt them or loose the hold of them, you walked backward, pulling them with you, all the while jerking them off. Phasing though the metal of the cell besides the one the other guy was in, sitting both of them down.
Their eyes empty, starring just in front of them. How you missed be in complete power over other people. These two will be not only good for you, but your entire harem. Even with both looking like the would top only, you knew deep down, that the slim one was more of an bottom, while the other was a switch. Completely differently from the two Deputies you already had.
But you wanted your fun too and their magic of course, so they needed to fuck you, to bind them on you. Without any problems, you walked over to the more muscular one, sitting on his cock, as if it was nothing. IN comprising to the hellhound, fucking you for hours, this smaller dick was nothing.
He did not move, did not tried to touch you at all, or anything really. You rode him like he was a toy, only useful for something like this. Right before he came, you poked your hand again, smearing the same rune on the top of his shoulder, like the two other guys under you had on them. As he came in you asshole, you activated the rune, letting it burn in his skin and mark him for you.
As soon as he came from his high and nothing came out of his dick anymore, you walked over to his friend, doing the same for him. But the werwolf came slowly back to his senses.
Though he seemed to be out of his mind, you knew that he wasn’t. He has seen and felt everything that you did to him. His eyes glazing over to you, as you fucked yourself so good on the of his best friends bigger cock. Which actually got some moans out of you, just at how good you could navigate yourself on it.
Sadly the fun come to an end quickly. As it seemed this guy did not get much attention. So he came rather quickly. Not even enough time, to give him the mark, while you were still fucking him. He was the first one, for whom it actually hurt to get it. Because he already came a bit of out of the fog.
Faster than any other guy, he came back to himself, after he got brand marked, almost jolting in the air, if it wasn’t for you still sitting on him.
He was disorientate, looked for any clue he could get, but only saw you. Confused he tried to figure out what just happened, before everything came back. A blush came over his face, as it finally sank in what you just have done.
You only stood up from his dick, pulled your pants back up again and gave them their clothing back as well. They sat there, heavy breathing, while you just walked over to the other guys cell, as it was nothing.
As soon as you did that, he walked backwards, until his back was pressed agains the iron grid. Automatically, your right hand, found its way to his face, slowly and carefully caressing it, while your left hand, began to wander his body down. You could feel his extremely muscular body. Builded like one of these strange human goods for war or something like this.
He was the hottest guy you ever encountered by a long shot. It was insane that he did not had an harem for himself.
„What do you know?“ The question did not even seemed to be strange for the guy. Ever so slowly, your left hand began to wander more south. Until it has vanished into his pants, feeling for his cock. Which was quite prominent.
It took you a second to find, because his pants already was slightly lowered. But to find its head, that was another problem. All the while his lustful gaze, that at the same time, seemed to tell you, that he was equal to you, laid upon you.
„I called you here,“ he mumbled lowly. His deep voice at first gave you chills, but was soothing and soft at the same time. He really seemed to be god in its own right.
„For what?“
„You know exactly what, but I don’t want to be just a slave,“ his answered was whispered in your ear, kissing it after, nibbling at your earlobe.
„Okay,“ you simply answered, without giving him anything else. You pushed him back against the metal grid. A pained moan escaped his sinful lips, as he did. This time, you poked three of your fingers and painting an abyssal rune on his entire chest. As soon as it was finished and burned into his skin, what he took like it was nothing, he became more confident, stronger and even got taller a couple of inches. Now he was towering over you, which gave you some sinful thoughts.
You took him by his hand and just walked out of the cell. Him walking behind you out of it. The other two guys in the cell beside it, wanted to say something, but as soon as you looked into their direction, they both became completely silent.
„Break up with your girlfriends and then come back to me. In the meantime, you will help me get more people.“ The last part said into the direction of the guy, you still were holding hands with. He simply nodded like the obedient puppy he now is.
This world could become better than you would’ve ever thought.

The Final Witch: Part Two
Scott McCall wrapped his arms around your body and hoisted you up from the ground. You couldn’t wrap your head around what was currently happening. You saw alleged witches being burned in a bonfire, you were about to be one of those witches. Your head was pounding and you were feeling weaker by the minute. The power you used against the witch hunter really exhausted all your powers.
“Come on Y/N, stay with me please,” Scott said as he wiped away a stray tear from your cheek. All you could do was nod your head, but your eyes were beginning to feel a little heavy. “Stiles is waiting for us in the car, we’re gonna get you out of here.”
He hoisted your body up and began to carry you bridal style through the forest. You started noticing him getting slower and his breathing getting heavier. Something was going wrong and you could feel it in your body.
“This isn’t right, I feel like my asthma is coming back” Scott heaved out, he turned around when he heard a twig snap from somewhere deeper in the forest. “Y/N, I need you to get up and run and don’t turn back, okay?” Scott whispered in your ear before letting you out of his arms.
“What, did you not expect us to be prepared that the little witch bitch didn’t have friends?” You turned around to see an older woman with dark red hair wearing all black holding wolfsbane in her hand. You wanted to scream but it felt like your throat was already on fire. “Someone grab this bitch already!” she yelled out and 10 more people in black seemed to step out of the darkness of the woods.
Scott pushed your body behind his and flashed his fangs and red eyes at the witch hunters. “Go now!” Scott roared before pushing you deeper into the woods. Your mind was rushing as you were sprinting into the woods, desperately trying to find your way out. It was like this sudden rush of energy that was coursing through your veins as you were running throughout the woods. You weren’t even focusing if anyone else was behind you chasing you, you were only focused on running.
Suddenly you felt something hard hit your chest and knocked you down. It felt like the air was knocked out of your lungs. “Fuck,” you exhaled as you looked up to what hit you. What you saw was a guy your age looking down at you. He had blonde hair and sharp facial features. “Please, just let me go” you begged to the boy, and for a second you thought you saw remorse in his deep forest green eyes. That remorse turned into something sinister when he started to smile.
“Oh i’m going to have fun with this one,” He laughed as he grabbed your hair and pulled you up to him. Suddenly you felt a pain in you abdomen and it felt like your body recoiled. You looked down and saw a crimson stained knife being pulled out of you. Every ounce of energy that you once had was gone. The fight inside your body was gone.

Ours | Derek Hale Oneshot
Tumblr media
Word Count: 3.5K Requested by @gracelynn318: "Derek or Stiles finding out that their significant other (the reader) is pregnant and they try to keep it secret for as long as possible" Warnings: pregnancy, pregnancy symptoms (vomiting, nausea, fatigue)
Summary: Derek Hale and (Y/N) have been together for a long time, and they didn't know something was missing from their lives until it arrived unexpectedly. And all they want to do is revel in the moment for as long as they can, by themselves.
A/N: this story follows 0% of canon, just the character's names. will admit. I am a horrible Teen Wolf fan that has yet to see season 5 and 6, and I've also yet to watch the movie. So, definitely an AU 😬also, be on the lookout for tonight or tomorrow for another surprise regarding this request 😉😉
Tumblr media
Derek had noticed the change long before (Y/N) had. Long before she knew why she spent her days expelling her meals down the toilet drain, before she understood why her body craved more food than she could keep down, before she had even noticed that a month had passed and her period had not arrived.
It came late at night. The soft putter of a heartbeat that felt so far that it could have been confused with the sound of rain against the pavement. They had been lying in bed, the exhaustion of living in Beacon Hills the only thing they needed to crash at night. But the sound had been bothering Derek. The continuous rhythm didn’t allow the wolf to lose himself in much-needed slumber. The sound kept him up, especially from where it was coming from.
“(Y/N),” he whispered, running his hand up and down her arm to wake her. “(Y/N), baby, wake up.”
“Mm,” she groaned groggily, cuddling to his body tightly. “Go to sleep, Derek.”
“(Y/N), I gotta ask you something. Wake up.”
“We can talk in the morning,” she whined. “I’m tired right now.”
“It’s important,” he chuckled softly. “I need your complete focus.”
With a loud exhale, (Y/N) sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. The sheet fell from her torso, and the coldness of the night made her skin erupt in goosebumps. She rarely got angry with Derek, but she was coming quite close at that very moment. “You better have a good reason to wake me, Der,” she said. “I’m so tired I might just put off killing you until tomorrow.”
“Listen, please,” he said. “When was the last time you got your period?”
“What?” the girl questioned. “You seriously just woke me up to ask about my cycle?”
“More or less. Just answer. Did you get it last month?”
It took her a moment to think. The grogginess of being woken up still clutched her mind, and recounting the past weeks was hard. But her body startled awake as she realized she had not gotten her shark week in a month and a half. That fact alone did not scare her. She had always been irregular, and in moments of stress, it was more likely than not that she skipped a cycle. The problem was that not only had she missed a period, she had been feeling sick for the past three weeks. And the math was not too hard to do.
“I-I didn’t,” she stammered. “W-why are you asking?”
“Oh my god,” he answered. “Oh my god!”
“What? What’s wrong?”
Instead of answering, Derek pressed his ear to her stomach until he could hear the sound clearly. Alongside (Y/N)’s quickening heartbeat, a quieter, steady pattern joined. It was too indistinguishable now. “You’re pregnant,” he said. So quiet he wasn’t sure if he had said it at all. “There’s a baby in there. Our baby.”
“Pregnant…” (Y/N) could not believe the word even as it rolled out of her tongue. “I can’t believe it.”
“We’ll go to Deaton tomorrow, but I’m certain. I can hear their heart beating in there.”
(Y/N)’s mind was reeling. Pregnant, she thought to herself. The word felt foreign. So did her body. Derek had noticed the change before her. How could she not have known that a life was growing inside her? How could she ever be a mother when she did not even know herself?
Without realizing it, tears fell down her cheeks. She felt weak and panicked. The strong woman that had faced the biggest dangers and far scarier monsters trembled with the thought of a life depending on her for survival. It was one thing to volunteer to protect the members of the pack. They were old enough to fend for themselves. It was another to be responsible for the life and survival of another human.
“Hey,” Derek called. His voice sounded like it was underwater. So far away that she could barely hear it. “Baby, what’s going on?”
She hadn’t noticed that she had stood from the bed and was pacing around their room. Her breathing was shallow, and her chest heaved as she took in short breaths, trying to steady herself. Tears kept falling faster than she could wipe them away. They warmed her cheeks before the air turned them cold. It was the only thing that grounded her.
And Derek. Always Derek.
He had gotten off the bed, and within a second, he was wrapping his arms around her. The warmth from his skin calmed her. It brought her senses back to the moment, steadying her rampant heart.
“What’s wrong, (Y/N)?” he spoke into the crook of her neck. “Tell me what I can do to make it better.”
“I’m scared, Derek,” she sighed, tightening her grip around him. “A baby. Here. Now.”
“Why not here?” Derek smiled, his hands running through her hair. “Why not now? With you as their mother, that baby could be born underground, and they would be the luckiest child in the world.”
“How could you be so sure?” (Y/N) cried. “I forget things all the time, I’m clumsy, I can barely redeem myself when it comes to fighting. If it weren’t for my weapons, I wouldn’t bring much to the fight against our enemies. What good would I be to protect a child? How could I be entrusted with their entire upbringing?”
“Oh, (Y/N). You’re far more valuable than what you bring to a fight.” His hands cradled her face, the green of his eyes boring into hers. “You are the most caring person I know. If it weren’t for you, I would have killed half of the pack by now. You’re smart. You’re funny. And if anyone should be terrified of becoming a parent, it should be me.”
“Come on,” she scoffed jokingly, her tears finally subsiding. “You’d be an amazing father. Temperamental, but great nonetheless.”
“Well, I’m glad it at least got you laughing,” he grinned. “How about we just take this one day at a time, baby? Make sure we take things slow. Tell people on our own time. Instead of going to the doctor, we buy a pregnancy test at the pharmacy; confirm what I already know.”
“But if you can hear the heartbeat, I am sure all the other wolves will, too,” she worried. “How am I supposed to take things as they come when everyone will know the second they come here?”
“Then, I won’t let anyone back here,” he smiled. “I’ll have them meet me at the warehouse or at Argent’s place. We can say you’re sick with something and won’t be there. Or that you went to visit family out of state –I don’t know. The point is, we can do this, baby. I know we can.”
“Well, I do admire your tenacity,” she chuckled, kissing his lips softly and hugging him again. “One day at a time, right?”
“One day at a time.”
And it worked. For two months, at least.
That very morning, he went out and returned home with five pregnancy tests and a bouquet of flowers. And five minutes later, they all showed an array of dark pink plus signs and the word Pregnant on them. Just like that, it had been confirmed. A new baby Hale would be coming to Beacon Hills in eight months.
They were excited. Of course, they were. But they couldn’t help the terror that overtook them as well. Bringing a new life into their world was a scary thought. The fact that anyone with knowledge of their child could use them against them was terrifying. Still, they wanted that baby more than anything they had wanted before.
The child that grew inside of (Y/N) was the tangible representation of their love. Evidence that everything life had thrown at them had not been able to push them apart, not for a second. They had been through hell and back, always together, and they had come out of every single occasion stronger than before. That baby was the final piece to their equation.
The next day, they went to the first available OB/GYN about an hour from the town. The doctor confirmed what they already knew, adding the new fact that she was around seven weeks along. The process was more than uncomfortable, but the result was well worth it. A tiny blob appeared on the screen, and the sound of a rapid heartbeat filled their ears. It made tears well up in their eyes. That tiny thing would soon turn into their baby. And even though it didn’t even have a distinguishable shape, they had fallen in love with them.
At first, they thought they would pass the first trimester in bliss. That they would only grow more and more excited as the days passed. And they would have. Had it not been for all the symptoms that overtook (Y/N).
She spent most of her day hunched over the toilet seat, emptying whatever was in her stomach. Even when she thought she could keep food down, an hour or two later, she would be in the bathroom letting it out. And if she wasn’t vomiting, she was ransacked with deep waves of nausea. Then, her breasts started to swell, painful jabs running through her every few days. In addition to heartburn and fatigue, it made her question just how worth it a baby could be.
But Derek had been attentive as ever, if not a little overbearing. He had kept his promise of moving where the meetings were held, claiming that the loft was under renovation while (Y/N) was out of town for a bit. It wasn’t a complete lie, though. He used his downtime to clean up around the house and fix things he had put off for far too long.
He fed her saltine crackers and electrolyte drinks, rubbed her back, and held her hair, and he loved her. Every day and every night, he loved her. Even when he had to stay up cleaning the bathroom or he had to carry her back to bed. He loved her through everything.
“You did this to me,” she had groaned one day. “All I want is to eat chips and pickles, but I can’t keep anything down.”
“I know, and I’m sorry,” he responded, drawing circles on her back as he cradled her body in the bathroom. “Hopefully, in a week, it’ll subside. You’re almost out of the first trimester, and the morning sickness should get better.”
“Stop reading pregnancy books,” she whined. “By the time this bun is fully baked, you’ll know more than me.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” Derek chuckled but swallowed his laughter as (Y/N) gifted him an angry scowl. “Okay, okay. I think the ten books I’ve read will do.”
(Y/N) remained quiet and threw her head against his chest. His arms snaked around her body, a comfort she allowed herself to sink into. The warmth from his body felt nice against her shivering skin. But just his presence was enough to comfort her, regardless of the words she spoke.
“I’m sorry I’ve been snappy these past few days,” she sighed. Her eyes closed as he wrapped his arms tighter around her, her head falling against his chest. “I love this baby, and I love you, but I don’t love puking all the time. And peeing all the time. And being tired all the time. I want to fast forward to the next few months.”
“Hey, you can be snappy with me all you want. I can take it,” he said with a smile. “I will be right here every step of the way because I love you. More than you could ever know.”
“Even when I’m all big and bloated?” (Y/N) chuckled, her hands falling onto the growing small bump. “They're already trying to deform my body.”
“Well, at least you’re glowing.”
“No,” she sighed. “That’s just sweat.”
“Then you look beautiful covered in sweat,” he laughed. “Now, let’s get you to bed. Alright?”
(Y/N) could only nod and wrap her arms around his neck as he carried her back to bed, laying right next to her. Even if he couldn’t take this discomfort away, he was trying his best to make things better for her.
Another week passed, and things started to shift. The woman would only occasionally feel the need to throw up her food, but the constant nausea and heartburn had subsided. And once (Y/N) saw her baby's small fingers and feet in their 12-week ultrasound, she knew it had all been worth it.
She also knew they couldn’t keep the secret to themselves any longer.
The pack had become angsty. Wondering when (Y/N) would be coming back from her supposed trip. Two and a half months was far too long to just be with family. With no imminent danger in sight, they had too much time to check up on everyone else.
“I think it’s time we tell them,” (Y/N) told Derek as they watched a movie. She cradled her small bump, something she had unconsciously started to do. “We’re almost at the five-month mark, and I think it’ll be too hard to hide.”
“Do we really?” he groaned. “I can just keep you hidden here until the nine months are up. They don’t have to know a thing.”
“You would really keep the mother of your child sequestered in these walls until I give birth?”
“Maybe even more,” he shrugged. “Maybe I’ll keep you here forever.”
“You’re quite funny, Mr. Hale,” she chuckled. “But they are our friends —our family. They deserve to know there’s one more person to protect.”
“I’ve just really liked this time,” he sighed. His chin rested on her shoulder, his beard tickling her exposed skin. “You know, just you and me. Basking in the time we won’t have once everyone knows and once the baby is here. It’s all I’ve ever wanted, (Y/N). A family of my own, that I can love and protect. A home that’s ours.”
“And we will have that,” she smiled. “We’re just allowing more love in. The best part, at the end of the day, we can just kick them out.”
“When you put it that way,” he laughed before kissing her lips, savoring her. “Alright, fine. We’ll tell them next Saturday.”
“Thank you, Der. It’s gonna be great.”
And it should have.
Had it not been for the million things that went wrong that week. The A/C was busted for a total of four days, a pipe burst in one of the bathrooms, the paint they had ordered for the nursery had been put on back order, and the Camaro had to be taken into the shop for tuning. Thing after thing occurred, piling onto an already stressful time.
Nevertheless, the week came and went. And before either of them knew it, Saturday had rolled in.
To say (Y/N) was nervous was an understatement. For some reason, anxiety was taking over her body. Its claws dug themselves deep into her being. It made her veins run cold and her heart speed. She didn’t know how any of them would react to the baby. Even to the fact that they had kept it from them for so long. And although Derek tried his best to calm her worries, they had already made a home inside her head.
“God, what if they hate the fact that I’m pregnant?” (Y/N) worried as she laid out more food than necessary on the kitchen counter. “What if they find the idea of bringing a child into a messed up world to be the worst thing ever?”
“Who cares, baby? It’s our child,” Derek tried to reassure. “We are the ones that will be raising them. The ones to protect them. Always and forever.
“But they say it takes a village, Der. And that is one thing that I know is true. I mean, at some point, we will need their help.”
“And you really think we won’t have it,” he said, rounding the kitchen island. His hands traveled her body and, in one swift move, had her sitting on the counter. At eye level, he could stare directly into her glossy eyes. “We have been through everything with these people. Even the ones I hated at the beginning have become my closest friends. I’m 100% sure they’ll be thrilled that you’re pregnant.”
He snaked his hand to her chin, pulling her down for a soft kiss. But once their lips made contact, it was too much of a temptation to keep it chaste. Soon enough, their tongues danced together, and their hands pulled each other closer. It left them breathless and excited, wanting —needing more.
“Uh, we can come back if it’s a bad time,” Stiles’ voice rang through the apartment, startling them apart. “But you guys did invite us here. So, it’s kind of bad on you guys.”
“No. Yes! I mean, it’s not a bad time,” (Y/N) chuckled as she jumped off the counter, hiding her stomach with a comically large bowl. “We just got carried away, I guess.”
“The one day they decide to show up on time,” Derek grumbled under his breath. “Come in, why don’t you?”
Before they knew it, the apartment was filled with werewolves, a banshee, other werehumans and supernatural beings, and their very own abominable snowman. The couple remained in the kitchen as everyone situated themselves, whispering under their breath what the best way to go about it would be.
“Not to be pushy,” Peter called out. “But if you guys only called us over for some food, I have better things to do than hang around children all day.”
“You do know we’re all well above the age of eighteen, right?” Isaac retorted. “It’s been quite some time since we have been children.”
“You’re still younger than me, correct?”
“Well, yeah…”
“Then children,” he said. “So, what is it? Am I staying, or am I leaving?”
“Settle down, Peter,” Derek responded, biting back the urge to roll his eyes. “We do have something important to announce to everyone and would very much appreciate it if you just listen.”
“Fine,” he frowned. “But you have ten minutes of my time before I decide to leave.”
“All we need is a couple of seconds, really,” (Y/N) said with a smile on her face so sweet no one dared say anything else. “I’m sure you heard that I was away for a while and that we were undergoing renovations here. Which, as you can tell by the lack of changes, was not true. Derek lied on my behalf and moved any necessary meetings out of our home because I needed this time to myself as I underwent a sort of change in my life.”
“Oh my god, you’re dying,” Stiles worried. “Is it cancer? Is it at least treatable?”
“It’s nothing like that, Stiles,” she reassured with a soft chuckle. “But thank you for worrying. It’s just as life-changing but not necessarily life-threatening. At least, I’m hoping it’s not. But you could never be sure until…”
“(Y/N), you’re rambling,” Derek whispered in her ear. “It’s nothing bad.”
“You’re pregnant!” Lydia exclaimed, a bright smile adorning her face.
“How would you know that?” Malia questioned. “I thought you predicted death, not new life.”
“It’s common sense,” she shrugged, disregarding the comment. “She’s been hiding for months. The place smells like paint, and nothing in this room is painted, so I can only assume it’s a bedroom. And she hasn’t stepped out from behind the island that just so happens to cover her stomach. Two and two always makes four.”
“Except on this occasion, it made three,” (Y/N) chuckled. She walked around the counter and joined Derek’s side, her bump finally on display for everyone to see. “But, yes, Lydia, I am pregnant. Almost five months now.”
A shower of ‘holy crap’s and ‘oh my god’s rained over them as, one by one, the pack got to their feet and hugged the couple in congratulations. They rejoiced together and started planning how to spoil little baby Hale even before they were born. Every single person was as excited and overjoyed as Derek and (Y/N) were, anxious for when the baby was born.
Well, except Peter.
“Yeah, next time you have these kinds of news, little nephew, make sure to make it an email,” he grumbled, looking at his watch. “Can’t believe I canceled evening plans for a pregnancy announcement.”
“We love you too, Peter,” (Y/N) laughed. “Maybe if you leave now, you can still make it to whatever it is that you had planned.”
“I’m already here,” he shrugged as he sat back down on the sofa. “Might as well take advantage of the free food.”
“Ignore him,” Derek told her, wrapping his arms around her waist. “He can’t take this moment away from us. It’s all ours.”

“How is he?” Scott asked upon seeing their mom exit the hospital room. Scott and Y/n had been sitting in the waiting room to hear the news.
“He’ll be fine. Doctors say you probably saved his life.” Melissa told her children letting out a relieved sigh.
“Good. Good.” Scott nodded letting out a breath of relief.
“We do need to talk young lady.” Melissa pointed to her daughter before resting her hands on her hips.
“About what?” Y/n asked with a shrug and a shake of her head.
“You and the fact that you knew what that thing was- what that kid turned into.” Melissa explained looking at her daughter for an explanation.
“Windego?” Y/n asked confused about what her mom wanted to know exactly.
“Yes!” she nodded whisper yelling before checking their surroundings to make sure no one was listening.
“y/n, how long have you known about the supernatural?” Scott asked looking to his sister with concern for her safety.
Y/n bit her lip tiring not to laugh at their behavior towards the subject. “You really wanna know?”
“Yes” Scott and their mom said at the same time.
“Since before even Scott and Stiles knew about it.” Y/n answered honestly shrugging her shoulder. Upon seeing the reaction on both og their faces Y/n crossed her arms in annoyance at how they treated her. “You all seem to forget how long I’ve known the Hales. Especially Derek. I don’t know everything about Scott and his friends, because you all tried to hide it from me.”
“We didn’t want you to get involved, because we don’t want you to get hurt.” Scott stressed not truly understanding why his sister was so upset and angry about it.
“Getting hurt is part of life. You deal with it and move on.” Y/n scoffed turning to leave the hospital, leaving her brother and mother standing there shocked and not knowing what to do next.

Stiles Stilinski and Scott McCall x-reader
(Your Outfit)
It was a cool Sunday night in contrast to today's weather being a bit warm. 11:30 am read the clock that sat beside my bed. I hummed to the music from my computer's speaker. Before heading to bed, I read the book that we needed to read for our English class.
Of course, the boys hadn't even started to read The Giver, blaming it on how distracted they were with preparing for Lacrosse tryouts. Earlier today I had been with Scott and Stiles to help them with said tryouts. My mom - a nurse at Beacon Hills Hospital - was fast asleep in her room across from mine.
She worked tirelessly at the hospital all day. She was lucky to have a night to herself, which wasn't something that she got often. Melissa McCall and my mother have known one other since they were in middle school, leading to me Scott becoming friends at the age of two.
My nightly reading and listening to music were cut short by the ringing from my phone. None other than Stiles Stilinski's cross-eyed expression appeared on my phone screen. I paused my music and closed the book. "What's up?" I answered. From the other side of the line, Scott could be heard muttering something in which Stiles told him to shut up. "What're you doing right now?" Stiles questioned. I set my laptop on the end of my bed.
"Just hanging out. Mind telling me why you're calling me at 11:30 on a Sunday night?" I replied, yawning. Stiles stated that the two of them were outside my house. Like he had spoken, they were leaning against Roscoe - Stiles' blue Jeep - with their eyes staring at my bedroom window.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I knelt in front of my window. "My dad left 20 minutes ago from a dispatch call. Two joggers found a dead body in the woods. They're bringing in every officer from the Beacon Department, even State Police," a small smirk appeared on Stiles' freckled face.
Scott reached over and snatched the phone from Stiles to say something. "Yeah, and he thought it would be a great idea if the three of us went to look for the body," he commented. I rolled my eyes with the phone still beside my face. With further convincing from the boys, I rubbed my cat's head before putting on my favorite green jacket and pair of boots (Outfit One).
I already knew that it was going to be chilly tonight. The door downstairs was loud as hell, so I resorted to the window. My cat watched me as I slipped through the opening. My feet landed softly on the grass, barely making a sound. Stiles pulled out of the driveway to head towards wherever the hell we were going.
"Just out of curiosity, you two do realize that it is the first day of school tomorrow, and both of you have lacrosse practice?" I poked my head between them. "First thing I told him," Scott pointed to Stiles. There were barely any streetlights, just one at the beginning of the road and one in front of a turn to a trailer park. "Wait, didn't coach say you could join the team?" Stiles asked. He stole a glance at me before looking at the road.
"Awe, yes, because being on a team with ten horny high school boys is something that I want to be a part of for the year," I remarked, leaning back in the seat. They decided to not respond to my retort, knowing I'd lead the conversation any further. "I'm going to need a little more information about what we're doing?" I buttoned my jacket as I spoke.
Stiles explained how the police weren't sure if the individual was murdered, but they did know that she was a female and in her mid- twenties. "Hold on, if they found the body, then what are we looking for?" I inquired. "That's the catch, they only found half," Scott turned to me. The mischievous smirk that sat on Stiles' face gave me an unwelcoming feeling.
"And we're going," he added.
________
(Later - Same Outfit)
Stiles parked the Jeep right in front of the gate. A wooden sign hung from the middle of a chain: Beacon Hills Preserve - No entry after dark. Scott and I exchanged a glance before looking at Stiles who stood in front of the silver chain. I stuffed my hands into the pockets of my jacket. "Are we really doing this?" Scott's voice remained low.
"C'mon, you're always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town," Stiles pat him on the shoulder. I brought a leg over and the two followed shortly after. Scott muttered how things happen in this town. "That doesn't count Ms. Prescott thinking someone was breaking into her house, but it was just some rogue racoon," I noted.
We set forth in search for the other half of the women's body. Personally, I had no interest in finding this body but somebody needed to supervise these two teenage toddlers. "I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow," Scott claimed.
I walked in the middle with my eyes keeping a look out for anything suspicious. "Right, cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort," Stiles remarked. Our friend grumbled and insisted that he would be making first line this year.
Their flashlights waved around the dark forest. The light illuminated certain features of the Beacon Hills preserve, introducing new pairs of glowing eyes from - what I hoped - a bunny or fox. "Hey, that's the spirit. Everyone should have a dream even if it's pathetically unrealistic," Stiles went on.
The night's cool breeze brushed against the back of my neck, goosebumps rose. Scott occasionally shined his flashlight onto the ground so I wouldn't trip and fall. "Which half of the body are we looking for exactly?" he questioned. "I didn't even think about that," Stiles replied.
"Okay, here's another zinger, what if whoever killed the body is still here?" I shared a look with Scott. Despite neither one of us being able to makeout the emotion we were displaying, I could tell he worried.
"Also something I didn't think about," Stiles responded.
We approached a hill that kept us from peering ahead. Both boys got up first. Scott brought an arm out to help me up, such a gentlemen. I set my hand into his so I could easily get up. "Stiles, it's super comforting that you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail," I wiped the dirt that landed on my palms. Scott took a much needed puff of his inhaler.
I directed him towards the tree beside us so he could rest. He pressed his back against the trunk, chest rising up and down; his hands shook as he zipped up his bright red jacket. I began to feel uneasy by his state.
"Stiles, I'm thinking this wasn't such a-" I cut myself short when 'the spas' began bolting down the other direction. He dropped behind a fallen tree. We landed on the other side of him (GIF Above). From the corner of my eye I could see a wide grin creep onto Stiles' face.
The three of us heard voices in the distance, but none of which that we were able to depict who they belonged to. Stiles leapt to follow the source of the sound. I called after him with Scott trailing behind. A bright line shined in Stiles' face which resulted in him falling on top of me.
Our asthmatic friend must've hid before we were caught. Deputies surrounded us with flashlights directly on us, the light reflecting off of their badges. "This little delinquent belongs to me," Sheriff Stilinski disclosed. He saw that I was stuck underneath his son. I shoved Stiles off of me so I could get up from the ground.
Stiles popped up, wiping the dirt off of himself. "Do you listen in on all of my phone calls?" Sheriff Stilinski questioned with brows raised. "No, not the boring ones," Stiles' chest rose up and down as he wittily responded to his father's question.
Tumblr media
Stiles spotted a few leaves stuck in my messy hair. He went to reach over to pick them out, but I slapped his hand. He was persistent until his father grabbed him by the ear. Mr. Stilinski led us over to the lit up sheriff's car so he could drive me home. I just hoped my mom didn't wake up during my escape.

Scott McCall gets home late that night. He’s used to these sort of days, the times when he’s so busy trying to stay afloat in a surging sea of school plans and hunter evasions and whatever new threats Beacon Hills has decided to kill him with that he scarcely has any time to himself. The moon has long since risen, and Scott thinks it’s as sure a sign as any that things are going badly around here that the almost full disc in the sky doesn’t bother him as much as it once was.
For a moment, he allows himself to miss the past. He can still picture how young he’d been when Peter Hale had first given him the bite, how Scott had basically been left to fend for himself with no other help than Derek showing up randomly and creepily to issue out weird phrases like ‘the bite is a gift’ and ‘we’re brothers now’ before disappearing again. Yeah, Scott still brings that up whenever he can. He feels that he deserves it.
Back then, Scott had Stiles, which had made the whole thing better. Despite the avalanche of stupid sarcastic comments about wolfsbane (which ended up being real) and full moons (also real) and packs (ok, so maybe Stiles had actually been on to something more than just making Scott lose his mind), Scott can’t think of someone he’d rather have by his side.
Even now, with Stiles returned to the FBI Academy, Scott still feels like he isn’t alone. Stiles calls all the time, updating his friends on crucial events like getting to brainstorm potential killers for recent murders or the cafeteria running out of chocolate syrup, things that are apparently of equal importance.
Still, Scott misses his friend. After so long of being pretty much inseparable, the vast distance between the two of them seems like an impossible challenge. There are days when he turns to hear Stiles’ humorous take on the latest threat to Beacon Hills only to find empty space where his best friend would have once been practically hovering over his shoulder.
That’s why Scott is pretty glad that he isn’t alone tonight. It’s been too hard for too long, and even if he’s expected to be some omnipotent alpha who always has the answers to every single problem, that’s not really the case.
For once, though, he isn’t going back to a dark house, one with the windows tightly shuttered like old ladies clutching their purses when they walk by a teenager with a little too much confidence. His mom has started working later and longer shifts at the hospital; neither of them bring it up, but her absence rings through the house, practically begging to be noticed.
However, Scott doesn’t have to creep through the empty house as if it’s no longer his, not tonight. He’s got a sure fire way of keeping the silence at bay: namely, the girl next to him, Malia Hale.
Malia catches him looking and grins. She still smiles like a werecoyote. Malia may have broken free from her permanent animal state, but Scott swears she’s still not entirely human. Right now, she could howl at the moon and make it still look normal.
This being said, he wouldn’t change a thing about her. Sometimes Scott envies Malia for the ease in which she lives her life. Other than fearing death by the hunters as they all do, Malia just goes about her day, sparing no time for inconsequential things like guilt or precalculus. She treads easily on all she’s done, whereas Scott’s conscience threatens to pull him under with every step.
They are growing to be more like each other, though. Scott feels more free by the day, and last week he swears he witnessed Malia help this little kid cross the road. She’d never admit to it, of course, but he knows what he saw.
Right now, he needs her most of all. The night should be his domain, especially with the light of an almost full moon painting his back with thick, broad strokes of white, but instead it just sets his mind to turmoil. At night, Scott has nothing to distract himself from all the stresses currently threatening to tear him asunder. It’s just him and the world, both trying to rid themselves of the other.
Whenever Scott’s worries get too much, though, he glances over at Malia again and remembers that he’s not alone. They’re pulling up to his house now, and for once it doesn’t seem so cold.
Malia makes her way easily through the darkened halls, the product of many, many days spent here. She technically has a home with Derek and Peter and any number of surviving Hales, but Scott knows that she’s still afraid to fully commit to living with them. Maybe he isn’t the only one trying to face down the terror of not being exactly what the world expects from them.
Scott opens the door to his room, crosses the floor on increasingly slow footsteps, and flops down on his bed. The moonlight makes it in here even still, refusing to leave him alone. It’s trapped by the shades of his window blinds, though, and can only attempt to reach him through waving tendrils of pale light that stretch across his ceiling.
He watches them bend and wave, each white strand only a few inches wide. They can’t reach him, not tonight. He’s reached home base, he’s not alone. Nothing can touch him now.
Malia regards the faint beams of moonlight too, then turns her attention to poking around Scott’s room. She’s been in here a thousand times, but still forced herself to peer in every nook and cranny as if expecting to find a sachet of wolfsbane tucked behind an ancient third grade spelling bee trophy.
Scott tucks his hands behind his head, watching her with amusement. “Have you found anything different yet?”
Malia rolls her eyes. “Not yet, but I’m sure I will. Look, it’s a natural instinct, alright? Gotta secure the perimeter of a home.”
Scott chuckles. “You’re securing perimeters now? Maybe you should give Stiles some tips, he’s apparently indoctrinated you into the FBI way of life.”
Malia breaks from her search to give him a vexed look, then goes back to her perusal. “And he would love to hear from me, of course. I’m fantastic.”
Scott’s smile grows content. “I know you are.”
Malia turns away hurriedly so Scott can’t see her beaming, but he thinks he can feel the force of it from here, and takes in every iota of happiness that has just crossed her face. Man, he likes her. He likes her a lot.
Scott has finally allowed himself to drop the last of his worries like stones, but his calm is rattled when Malia leans back, a stack of letters in her hands.
“What are these?” She asks. To her credit, Malia doesn’t start rifling through them immediately, although Scott can tell that she’d like nothing more than to do so.
Immediately, Scott remembers, and sits up slowly. “Those are from my sister, Y/N.”
Malia frowns. “Right, your sister. You never talk about her, so I guess I assumed you would never write.”
Scott stands up, walking over so he can look at the familiar written script. “That’s what I assumed too, but she proved me wrong when I got the first postcard.”
Malia’s brow furrows. “Why, did the two of you part on bad terms?”
Scott grimaces. “Something like that. She knew when I got the bite for the first time because it’s practically impossible to hide something like that forever, not from a family member. The only problem is that I didn’t make enough space in my life for her after that. She didn’t feel like a part of the pack, she didn’t even feel like my sister anymore. She left before you came along.”
Malia turns some of the postcards over in her hand, noticing the variety of locations emblazoned on the fronts. “I don’t get it. She, what, didn’t feel included and so she left? That’s not your fault, that’s her being a weirdo.”
Scott laughs in spite of himself, although he assumes he should regret it. “It wasn’t like that. In the very beginning, there wasn’t supposed to be a pack at all. It was just me and Stiles, you know? Then Allison started helping, and Lydia warmed up to us, and once Isaac and Derek came over to our side it actually turned into something. Y/N felt like I had cut her out of my life, so she left before she had to start feeling like an outsider with every other part of her world as well. I still think she was right to do it.”
Malia taps a finger against the stack of letters thoughtfully. “She was jealous, then, of the fact that you were supernatural? Stiles had been here since the beginning too and he never felt like that. I just don’t get why she was so upset.”
Scott rubs a hand on the back of his neck absentmindedly. “Of course Stiles felt like that, he just doesn’t like talking about it. He’ll cover up anything with a joke if he thinks it means people won’t look too closely at what he’s hiding. He’s been turned off of that, though, ever since the Nogitsune. I think he’s terrified that even thinking about being supernatural will make those deaths his fault, because then it would be obvious that he didn’t learn a thing from being possessed.”
Malia nods, sucking in a breath. “And Y/N, where is she now? Why’d she forgive you?”
Scott stares at the letters. He’d been so afraid that one day she would just stop writing, that she’d remember how callous he was and decide to cut him off for good. The letters keep coming, though, and Scott is still so afraid to jinx them.
“I’m not entirely sure. I think she needed the distance to clear her head, and be someone for herself instead of just being my sister. She travels a lot, started college, that sort of thing. Every now and then she writes to me about a pack she found or someone she thinks I should contact if things go supernaturally bad. She’s been very helpful in the past.”
Malia thinks about that for a moment. “So it’s like she is a part of the pack, then. Just really far away.”
After a heartbeat, Scott starts to smile. “Actually, yeah. I never thought about that. I should tell her sometime.”
A voice from the doorway makes both of them startle. “Tell who what? Are you talking about Y/N again?”
Malia makes a face at Derek Hale, who has appeared out of nowhere to lean idly against the open door frame. “It’s none of your business, that’s what. Also, stop jump scaring us like that. Knock for once in your life.”
Derek smirks. He has the same habit as Malia of always flashing his fangs whenever he smiles. “That’s my bad, you guys must not have heard me knock. Malia, I need you for official Hale business. Why are you talking about Y/N?”
Malia shrugs. “Just looking at some of her old letters. Why, did you know her?”
Derek tilts his head back, staring at the ceiling as he thinks. “In bits and pieces, yeah. I remember thinking the day she left that at least one of us would get to go live their lives free of all of this. You should ask her to visit sometime, it would be good to see her again.”
Scott nods. “Yeah, it would.”
Derek nods back, then tilts his head meaningfully towards the door. Malia sighs, then gives Scott a quick hug goodbye and disappears from the room. Derek lingers a little longer, though.
“You think this is your fault, don’t you? Y/N leaving, I mean.”
Scott sighs. “It is my fault. I pushed her away.”
Derek straightens up from his post against the threshold. “Not every disappearance is your fault. Trust me, I’ve watched enough people leave. Sometimes people just have to go, no other way about it. Y/N did what was best for her. That being said, if you want to meet up again, I think the two of you would be the better for it.”
Scott inclines his head. “I’ve been thinking the same thing. Thanks, though. I appreciate it.”
Derek smiles. He’s been doing it more frequently as of late, finally letting go of the cold hatred that’s been plaguing him for so long. “Any time. We still look out for each other, right?”
Scott watches the guy go, feeling oddly peaceful. “That we do.”
He listens for the sound of Malia getting into Derek’s car, then both of them driving away. Scott is well and truly alone now, although for once he doesn’t feel it. Instead, he has hope, hope that soon things will be better. He manages to fall asleep fairly quickly, and the faces that once haunted him just make the whole thing feel like a dream.

stiles stilinski: breakable heaven; pt 2, "it's new, the shape of your body. it's blue, the feeling i've got."
description: situationship x stiles stilinksi.
Tumblr media
"so, you didn't even fuck him?" danny leaned forward in his desk, whispering pathetically to y/n, who was seated in front of him.
stacking her textbooks onto her desk, y/n twisted around to face her friend. "sh!" she looked around with paranoia, hoping no one heard danny's loud mouth. she rolled her eyes back towards danny, "quiet down, idiot. no, we didn't fuck."
"why?!" danny groaned, planting his forehead in his hands, "you had the perfect opportunity!"
y/n shrugged, "i just wasn't ready. i still barely know the guy."
"you don't need to know his favorite color to have sex with him. it's supposed to be casual, remember?" danny reminded.
twisted around to face danny still, she crossed her arms over the curve of the top of the chair, "i know, i know. but, ugh, i don't know. i just want to know a little bit."
he replied, "just a little bit, though. you don't want to get too attached."
"yeah, no, of course," y/n trailed off, focusing her attention back to the front of the room as the teacher demanded the students' to listen.
y/n pulled her phone from her pocket as it buzzed. underneath her desk, she responded to stiles' text.
stiles stilinski: nah, literally. i understand the books weren't finished, but they didn't have to end the show the way they did.
y/n: i kinda liked how dany went off the rails, but it was way out of her character development. i'll have to text you later, class is starting, and i'll be busy the rest of the day. see ya!
stiles stilinski: no problemo, have a lovely day!
y/n quickly shoved her phone into the side pocket of her bookbag. she sat up in her seat, doodled across the top of her notebook with a new pen, and attempted to focus her eyes on the chalkboard as the teacher wrote out the lesson title.
but her mind was focused elsewhere.
"y/n," stiles moaned against her lips as his body pushed up against hers.
she grasped at the hairs curled at the nape of his neck, giggling slightly at his neediness. "yeah?"
stiles sighed, exasperatedly, "you're...so...pretty."
y/n grinned, interrupting their kissing. stiles pulled his head back slightly, "what? did i do something wrong?"
she shook her head, meeting his brown eyes, softer in the dim lighting. "no, you're perfect.”
stiles had drove her home after the hangout at danny's. he insisted on listening to taylor swift and continued to intently ask her questions about anything and everything.
when he dropped her off, he waited at the curb, jeep idling, until he saw he safely enter her house. it made her heart skip a beat.
then, when she closed the door, reality came crashing back down.
y/n showered, went to bed. she was coming off of her high, and she was remembering all of the awful details of the past summer. stiles became an afterthought.
she made the mistake of looking at a few photos in her phone. missed stiles’ text telling her he got home safely.
she texted him when she woke up. he immediately replied, assuring her it was okay for her late response. he made one comment on something insanely random, but they delved into a conversation about it.
it got cut short, as it was saturday, and y/n had to go straight to work. it was insanely busy i’m the restaurant she waitressed at, so y/n didn't get a chance to check her phone all day. she hoped, though, that stiles would text her. of course, she hoped sam would, too. but that was always a hope a heartbroken person carried, right?
even if they knew, logically, it made no sense. it wasn’t right.
stiles, he did message her. they continued to text, back and forth, all weekend long.
y/n didn’t agree that casual sex needed to exclude any and all forms of friendliness. the only thing that needed to be removed from the situation was feelings, beyond anything amiable. and that was easy as pie.
after class, y/n had a free period. and that was the last class of the day. so, she dumped some of her books off at her locker, and decided to head home for the day.
on her way out to her car, she texted stiles back.
y/n: how’s your day going?
he didn’t respond right away, which he normally did. but, she knew he was in english, and the new teacher was pretty strict about phone usage.
y/n opened the driver’s side door, tossed her book bag in, and went to slip into her seat when she heard her name being called. she looked to her left and saw stiles jogging across the parking lot.
y/n furrowed her brows, tilted her head, “shouldn’t you be in english?”
stiles came to a halt before her, hands on his hips, “what? oh, um-“ he looked behind him, as if the answer lied towards the lacrosse field, “i got let out early?”
that sounded like a question. “hm,” y/n smiled slightly, “you’re skipping class.”
“oh, you’re one to judge,” he shot back, “what’re you doing right now?”
“going home. i have a free period!” y/n defended, motioning back to the school building.
“mhm,” stiles nodded, “sure.”
y/n stared at him for a moment. she lifted her phone up, “i just texted you, by the way.”
stiles pulled his phone out of his jacket pocket, “oh, oh, here…” he typed out his response, and clicked send, proudly.
y/n smiled appreciatively, “i’m eager to hear your response to my riveting question. anyways, if you’re gonna skip class, do you think it’s a good idea to hang out in the parking lot?”
stiles leaned against the car beside y/n, “oh, probably not.” he looked like there was something else going on, and there was. y/n just didn’t know about all of the supernatural threats surrounding the school on any given basis. “but, i saw you and wanted to ask…”
“what’s up?” she stood up, eager.
stiles rubbed the back of his neck, a nervous tick, y/n noticed. “are you free tomorrow night?”
y/n nodded, probably too quick to respond, “yeah, absolutely.”
“okay, cool,” stiles pursed his lips. a beat of silence passed, and y/n tilted her head, encouraging him to continue. “oh, well, maybe i can finally meet your dog?”
“smooth,” y/n poked his shoulder, “text me when you’re leaving school. i’ll send you my address.”
stiles grinned, “really? cool, cool. i’ll- see you then.”
y/n climbed into her car, and stiles closed the driver’s door for her. she waved before pulling out of the parking lot.
stiles fist pumped the air.
he met back up with scott, allison, and isaac by his jeep. they were skipping class because the alpha pack in town was causing a load of harmful trouble. just another chapter in the book of the supernatural.
“what was that about?” scott asked, secretly for his friend.
stiles, pretending to be casual about the situation, placed his hands on his hips, shrugged. “nah, nothing. just made plans to chill tomorrow night. no big deal.”
scott didn’t want to pressure his friend. he simply nodded, smiling kindly. “sounds good.”
stiles shrugged, again, though scott could see right through him.
he could see right through his sarcastic, solid exterior, straight to the scared teenage boy with the giant heart he wore just under his sleeve.
and he knew, already, things were gonna get messy.
y/n took an everything shower when she got home at her free period. and, by everything- she did everything. shaved, exfoliated, scrubbed every pore on her skin, wrapped her body in masks, conditioners, body washes, hair treatments, a teeth whitening kit. everything.
she tried to present her makeup and hair casually, but y/n still put enough effort into both to make herself look better than average. she was dressed and ready to go as soon as stiles messaged her that he was leaving school. she replied with her address, and proceeded to pace the length of the front room of her house until he arrived.
y/n’s dog started barking, in response to a short knock from the front door. she shushed winnie, who was up in arms about the person outside; ears perked up, eyes alert. all german Shepard, guard dog-esque. y/n patted winnie’s head, calming her slightly, before unlocking and opening the door.
stiles stood there, posture hunched slightly, in jeans and his usual t-shirt combo. his palm was cupped in front of his mouth, as though he was smelling his breath. he met y/n’s eyes, coughed awkwardly, and quickly wiped his hands on his thighs.
“oh,” he cleared his throat, again, “sorry. uh- hi. sorry. just- smelling my breath!” stiles cringed at his own words and glanced at his feet. he scratched the back of his neck.
y/n giggled, “oh, my goodness. just come in.”
she stepped aside, motioning him into the house. winnie took this moment to run up to stiles, panting like she’d run a marathon. stiles responded with excitement, ushering the old girl inside while patting her fur and gushing with baby talk.
“oh, you’re so cute- oh, yes you are, yes, you are. you are gorgeous, sweet girl,” stiles crouched to winnie’s level. “this is winnie, right?”
y/n nodded appreciatively. he listened to her when she talked. “yep. she’s very happy to meet you.”
“i’m very happy to meet her- oh, yes, i am!” stiles accepted the kisses winnie offered.
“now you’re breath might smell!” y/n laughed, gently pushing winnie’s face from stiles’ mouth.
stiles stood back up straight, though winnie continued to nudge him with her snout.
“you can take your shoes off,” y/n instructed. stiles followed suit, kicking his converse off towards the side, with the other shoes.
stiles moved further into the house, peering around the corner, into the living room, then on the other side, into the kitchen. “are…your parents home?”
y/n met his eyes and smiled gently. “no,” she shook her head. “they’re out of town this week.”
“so, you’re all alone? in this giant house?” stiles walked through the kitchen. outside the big picture windows was nothing but woods. she lived only a few minutes from school, but, “in the middle of…nowhere?”
y/n giggled, again, looking out the window, too, “yeah. i used to be scared, but you get over it. they’re out of town a lot.”
she didn’t know why stiles became worrisome. she didn’t really notice the creases deepen in his forehead, or the constant thought that would now exist in his mind. she didn’t know about the supernatural. she didn’t know of the massive threat looming right over her throat every single day.
“that’s…” stiles met her eye. she frowned slightly because he looked freaked out. he covered up his concern, “you should throw a party. yeah, that would be sick.“
she shrugged, “yeah, maybe. i don’t know, that’s a lot of work. i’d be stressed the whole time. wouldn’t be able to enjoy myself cause i’d be worried about people fucking up the house.
“well, that’s why you have me. i can co-host. we can worry together,” stiles nudged her with his elbow.
she looked up at him, shoulder brushing his, goofy grin on her face. “okay, yeah…i’ll take you up on that offer sometime. maybe next weekend. after the game?”
stiles gave her a thumbs up, “nothing better than getting shit faced after being hit with lacrosse sticks for three hours.”
y/n laughed, loudly. she wrapped her hand around stiles shoulder, leaning in as the noise rang from her throat. people were usually sick of his sarcasm after being around him longer than 24 hours. she seemed ever-appreciative of it. his bareskin tingled beneath her fingers. he sweat a little, breathed a little heavier.
feeling no sense of self control, stiles grabbed her by the hips, pushed his lips up against hers. he pressed her back up against the kitchen island, nearly tossing them both to the floor from his rush. she yelped, slightly. but she managed to balance herself, squeezed her eyes shut, and wrapped her fingers up in his hair.
they continued moving against each other, lips sloppy together. stiles had little to no experience, save for the few times he had made out with a girl. but, his expertise ended there. he’d, obviously, read- watched- a lot about that. there were a few tricks he’d been keeping up his sleeve. and this was finally his moment.
he situated his hands back on her hips, as they’d wandered up her torso. using all of his strength, stiles lifted y/n up onto the kitchen counter. she gasped, surprised by his muscle. she met his eyes, pupils blown out, mouth swollen, hair in disarray. once she was situated on top, stiles moved back in for her lips.
y/n fought the smile crawling out of her mouth. she focused on his shoulders, his arms, his chest. she reached the bottom of his shirt and began to slowly, painfully, pull it over his head. stiles quickly helped her toss it across the kitchen.
his lips aimed for her, but she took the upper-hand by steadying his shoulders. she first kissed the nape of his neck, which caused his breathing to completely shorten. she smiled as she felt his heart thump against his throat. as y/n nipped her way up and down his neck, rolled his ear lobe between her teeth, stiles moved his hands back to her body.
every once and a while, he’d shudder under her touch, let out a little breathless moan. at the same time, his fingers would clench whatever piece of skin he was touching. at first, her hips, then her sides, then her breasts. she moaned at this accidental movement, and stiles smiled to himself.
stiles gently pulled her shirt up and off. she dropped her head back to his neck, intending to continue her battle there. but, stiles cupped either one of her breasts in his hand, gently squeezing again. he felt goosebumps tickle all up and down her skin, and saw them rise on the curve of her breasts. he didn’t know where his confidence was coming from, but he leaned forward, and kissed the hills on her skin.
y/n’s forehead dropped to stiles’ shoulder, sweet sounds escaping her lips. he delicately swept his fingers around the edge of her bra, to the back, where the clasp was. before he could try to undo it, y/n pulled back. the way she looked at him- stiles swore he could fall apart from that gaze.
“as much as i’m enjoying this, i’d rather not fuck on my kitchen counter,” y/n steadied her hands on his shoulders.
stiles grinned, stepped back, helped her land on the floor, on her feet. before she could move past him, stiles dipped his head low, grabbed her jaw between his hand, and kissed her fiercely. y/n’s knees knocked together.
and she led him to her room.
when he left, y/n showered, again. she was sweaty, and he lingered on her skin like frostbite. showers always made her feelings irrepressible, like they were being sucked out of her lungs by the water.
she cried.
and it wasn’t befause stiles was terrible at sex. no, he was good. he’d made her feel good. he drew movement from her she didn’t know was possible.
it was everything else.
it was sam. it was the endless summer she had felt come to a stubborn, painful close. it was the ugly feeling he had left lingering on her skin.
she didn’t she’d ever get over it- him. he’d be etched into her like stretch marks. he pulled her apart, stretched her thin, and punched holes everywhere he could. left a brutal, bruising mark.
all because he was too scared to try.
she wanted to call danny afterwards, to tell him all about. to ask for solace from him in her confusing heartbreak. but, it felt too burdening.
stiles texted her when he got home, shortly after she got out of the shower. she thanked him, she didn’t know why, but she thanked him. she was grateful. he made her feel worthy. hell, he’d spent half the time in her sheets worshipping and praising her body, her lips, at her hips like an altar.
it was almost overwhelming. but it felt good. he felt good. everywhere.
he thanked her back with some witty, thoughtful message. she wanted to text back, but a conversation felt like too much right now. she needed to rest her weary heart.
besides, this was all casual…right? she wasn’t obligated to text him back. it didn’t matter if she did. she didn’t care if she did.
right?
“and then what happened?” danny slammed his hands down on the table between them, leaning his face close to y/n’s.
the smack of his palms resounded throughout the library, garnering hushes from the independent study instructor, and glares from the other students. y/n looked around, embarrassed, before shoving danny’s face away with her own hand.
“shut up!” y/n shushed him herself. “don’t have to tell the whole school how i fucked stiles stilinksi!”
she said it in a whisper, but danny still heard it. he cheered, loudly, jumping up and out of his seat. y/n stood, too, grabbing his biceps and trying to calm him down. she shot apologetic glances to her fellow classmates. coach blew his whistle, causing danny and y/n to whip their heads his way.
“that’s it! if you can’t study independently, you can’t study at all! get out, go home, go to the alley by the gas station and buy drugs, i don’t care! just don’t stay here!”
he ushered them out the door, and they barely managed to grab their things before the library was shut tightly behind them. y/n smacked danny across the chest, but he barely winced.
she pumped her legs, hard, moving down the hall away from him. danny followed, quick, singing, “she just had sex! y/n finally had sex!”
stopped at her locker, y/n rolled her eyes, and tried to quiet danny down. “literally- danny! i won’t tell you anything if you don’t shut the fuck up! please!”
danny groaned and leaned up against the locker. nevertheless, he shut the fuck up. “please tell me more before i combust!”
y/n waved him off as she shoved some books into her locker. “we had sex. it was good- like, really, weirdly, mysteriously good.” she emphasized the word, shooting danny a confused look.
his jaw was dropped, “be for real. right now. no way- stilinksi? stiles stilinksi?”
y/n nodded with a look of surprised assurance. “i know. and- like, sure, he’s not at all experienced. but, he somehow knew what to do. plus- oh, my god…” y/n trailed off, gesturing to the floor with head, her eyes widened.
danny’s mouth opened further, if at all possible, “no fucking way! no way. i refuse to- how big?”
he put his hands out beside each other in the air, about three inches apart. y/n shook her head, offended. he opened the space further, until y/n nodded, smirking.
danny slapped a palm over his mouth, “holy fuck! stiles stilinksi-“ he said, shocked, before he repeated, “stiles stilinksi,” impressed.
“i know,” y/n shrugged. she shut her locker.
danny began walking towards the exit, y/n falling in step beside him. “you lucky bitch. so, do you think it’ll be a regular thing? are you gonna do it- him- again?”
danny held the door open for her. she stepped through with a shrug. “i would fucking love to. but, i don’t know. he hasn’t said anything since. we’ve just been texting about other shit.”
“like, what?” danny inquired.
y/n pulled out her phone, where a fresh, unread text from stiles sat patient. “like, right now, we’re discussing his favorite band. music, in general, i guess.”
danny scoffed, “be for real.”
“bitch,” y/n shoved him, “what?”
“discussing music,” he tsked his tongue. “that’s how it always starts. before you know it, you’re married in the burbs with a baby and a dog.”
“shut up,” y/n shoved her phone back into her pocket, self conscious about responding, now. “you know i don’t want that. i’m not interested in dating. i’m moving away in less than a year and- and…”
she trailed off, but danny knew what her distant look meant. “sam,” he filled in the gap. “i know,” he touched her arm lovingly.
y/n looked up at him with her sad, puppy dog eyes. “fucking- ugh. i hate him.”
“i know, babe,” danny comforted. “at least you don’t have to see him. at least he’s off at college.”
“it’s sad, though,” she opened her car door and dumped her backpack inside. leaned up against the side of the vehicle, she elaborated, “i saw him almost every single day, over the summer. and then he just- i don’t know.”
“tells you he loves you while breaking up with you? i do know. he’s a fucking pussy. and you deserve better. he was manipulative as fuck, anyways,” danny waved off the issue at hand. “i don’t know, just…i don’t know. stiles is weird. i don’t really know him that well. he doesn’t seem like he’d fuck you over, but it’s just that tricky line of friends with benefits. it almost always leads to someone getting hurt.”
y/n picked at a piece of dirt on the side of her car, focused on danny’s words. “i think we’re both smart enough that we won’t let that happen. we both know what we want from each other- sex. strictly. nothing else. it’s black and white.”
“oh, love,” danny patted her shoulder, “nothing is ever black and white.”
danny bid farewell, hugging his friend tightly, with a saddened gaze shot her way. she was distant, stuck in her head, thinking over her words.
it didn’t matter. it really didn’t. she didn’t want anything from stiles, but sex. she didn’t want an attachment. so, she simply wouldn’t form one.
it didn’t matter if they were discussing music. it didn’t matter if she knew what made his cheeks crinkle into a smile. it didn’t matter if she was learning his favorite colors depended on the seasons, or that his dad was his role model. it didn’t matter.
she had boundaries, and she could keep them.
she could.
couldn’t she?
