I was saved originally in 2003, but didn’t ‘stay the path’ at that time. In July of 2022 i recommitted my life to Jesus and since then I’ve let go of so much… mental blocks, identities, physical items, worries and expectations. I now feel such peace and can relax, knowing I don’t have to do ALL THE THINGS anymore. I’m learning to listen and discern. I realize it’s not about me, but about Him, and that is so comforting and so liberating!!! I know you’re around me

Let me feel your presence

You are a mighty God

Grace, righteousness, and love is your essence

Due to your own purpose and grace

You saved my soul and erased my mistakes

How can I not try to please you

For decades I walked on this Earth

Not knowing I need you

I’m thankful and grateful but that’s only the half

Show me your ways Lord, teach me your path

Let your light shine on my feet like a beacon

Mercy follows me, you show me grace for no reason

You bore my sins and died so I may be healed

You literally became my strength, salvation and shield

I was given a new birth on this old earth

Now I see more clearly

Daily I wallowed in sin not knowing you were near me

What you did for me I can never be timid

I live life abundantly and with joy.. there’s no limit

I will be bold for you oh what a blessing

If we deny you on Earth

You will deny us in Heaven

You answer when I call

You give me relief from sorrow

One day at a time

Why worry about tomorrow

I am justified by faith

For that I must praise you

Hear me ….

Blessed be the Lord God who saves you !!

I used to question daily like Nicodemus

He sacrificed Himself just to redeem us

Now I know I have peace with God through Jesus

Y/n sat in class, trying not to space out.

It was class break and all around her kids were talking.

Nobody seemed to talk to her, and normally she would brush it off, but she felt lonlier than she would.

"Hey f/n," she said, leaning over her seat to give a small wave to her friend.

"Hi, here." Her friend said, handing her a few grapes.

"Ohkay?" Y/n laughed, munching on the grapes.

"They're sour you know." She said, scrunching up her face to show her distaste for the fruit. Then, she popped another one in her mouth.

"You say they're sour then keep eating them." Her friend pointed out.

"I'm hungry." She whined.

The girl munched on the snack she had gotten for lunch break quite happily.

She conversed in light conversation with 2-3 of the girls that sat around her.

"You want it? Y/n has it." A girl told her friend group.

Y/n sat up straighter, ears straining to hear why her name was in someone's conversation.

"What?" She asked the group.

Her classmates looked at her with secretive faces, "nothing." A member of the group said quickly.

She shrugged and continued conversation with her friends, lightly slapping g/f/n's arm as he made a stupid joke.

"Go!!" Someone whisper-shouted.

Looking up at the commotion she noticed c/n had stood up, looking quite nervous.

Confused and very intrigued she listened in as best as she could while keeping her head down.

She saw c/n stand right next to her seat.

"Hi." He said.

She was confused as to why he was talking to her. He had never done that before. She looked out at her snack and her mind clicked. The snack she was eating turned out to he one of his favorites.

"Here. Only one piece is left though." She said, handing him the last piece of her snack.

He looked at her with a confused expression as his friends rumbled with laughter behind them.

"I don't want that." He said lightly.

"You sure? I don't mind." She said cluelessly.

"He came there to be your friend! And he wants to get to know you" A girl from his group cleared up.

She looked at him to see him holding out a hand, smiling at her nervously.

Y/n didn't recall the last time she had seen c/n so nervous.

"Can u give me You're other hand?" She asked.

"It's uhm, dirty." He said.

"Oh." She felt really dumb.

She shook his outstretched hand quickly.

As he was leaving he asked, "what's your name again?"

She blinked.

"Its y/n. You know for someone who wants to be my friend, you should probably know my name first." She remarked as his friend howled with laughter.

She smiled in satisfaction at his flustered expression.
