ADULTS: BOTH HANDS interlocked between nipples, press down 2 inches CHILDREN 1-8: ONE HAND between nipples, press down 2 inches INFANTS: TWO FINGERS just below nipple line, press down 1.5 inches 30 compressions at 100-120 compressions per minute, allow chest to recoil between compressions, immediately follow with rescue breath

Most rescues will cover expenses, so all you would need is a good doggie type home and some love for the pup! And if you decide that the dog would be a good fit for you for furever, you get first dibs!

I know I don't post much, and I've fallen on from talking to just about every person here, and this won't get any attention but I want you all to know, hold your loved ones close and make sure they are okay. I start chemo and Radiation therapy today, and want to put it out there that no matter what anyone is going through, let them know they have a safe space. That They have a net beneath them to catch them when they fall, it could save their life. If people do see this, spread the message and if willing, please keep me in your thoughts as well

Timber- 5 years, altered male, 91lbs

Update 3/13: Sadly, Timber was recently returned to our shelter after just several days in his newly adopted home. Staff and volunteers are disappointed, as he's a definite favorite at BARCS, so we're more determined than ever to see him find his true forever family.

Handsome Timber was found a couple of months ago as a stray. He's a friendly, energetic fella who does not quite know his size and is still working on "four on the floor"- aka not jumping up on people. Fortunately he's an intelligent guy, so is apt to learn quickly with encouragement and consistency. Timber is sweet and eager to make human friends.

He may be 5 years old and 91lbs, but Timber's really just a big baby who loves his pets and cuddles. He’s very friendly with people, and has even been gentle with kids on walks in the park. He definitely has a “play hard, sleep hard” mentality!

When in our care previously, Timber was treated for a few minor medical concerns, and he does have a history of degenerative joint disease/hip dysplasia, as well as eosinophilia. A full medical summary can be provided upon request.

When tested off-leash in the shelter's play yard, Timber was initially conflicted when interacting with other dogs, but after some time showed improvement and ended up being a pretty polite, bouncy, and playful fella.

Timber is available immediately for rescue pick-up.
