何が起こっている?! (nani ga okotte iru) - What is happening?! / What's going on?!
それはスコルピオントレッドミル!! (sore wa sokorupion toreddomiru) - It's the Scorpion Treadmill!!
この二人に乗せてのトレッドミルです. (kono futari ni nosete no toreddomiru desu) - It's the treadmill for these two (people). / Put these two (people) on the treadmill.
"The boys' accents suggest that they probably learned English first and speak it best, and Splints has been pretty clear that he doesn't really want anything to do with his roots as a Hamato, so I don't imagine he spoke to them in Japanese very much as a way of distancing them from all that. But the reality shows seem to always be on--I wonder how much of the language the boys picked up just because of the background ambience? Like, maybe they can understand Japanese better than they can speak it, and their lexicon is just… the weirdest friggin' shit, because of all that reality TV. They don't know how to ask "where's the bathroom?" they know how to say "I can't believe that man on the treadmill got eaten to death by scorpions""

Triceraton height guesstimate
I went back to the Rottmnt movie for the umpteenth time to get some screenshots of Krang one's mech suit for drawing references when I got a glimpse of the Triceraton skull Krang One uses as a throne. And that got me thinking, How tall would the Triceratons have had to be in order to match their absolutely huge skulls?
After doing some guesstimating with Leo and Krang one as a reference to compare heights, and using the 2k3 TMNT Triceratons. I have gotten some numbers.
Probably not accurate at all, but it's all in the name of fun xD
So. Leo is 1.65m or 5'5" in canon height.
Krang one's guesstimated height is about 7.15m or 23'5". (Does he have a canon height??)
Triceraton's height I'm guessing is around 55.2 meters or 181'1".
That's my take on it at any rate.
Do with this information as you'd like 😂
On another note. How the shell were the boys supposed to fight those monsters??? Like holy shell. Donnie would have had to get uranium and make them mech suits or something, yikes, terrifying just thinking about it.... And does the skull throne mean that the Krang have already killed off the Triceratons? Or is that just a hunting price?? Who knows, it's an interesting thought none the less.
Also if the Krang actually has managed to kill off this gigantic alien race, that makes them all the more terrifying an enemy... food for thought.
Anyway, until next time! // Wick♡

Risetober Day 10: Red Fox
Was kinda nervous to draw Red Fox, but I liked how this one came out.
Also, here's some sketch work for day 8, the only reason why it's taking longer than expected is because my dumbass decided to make it a small comic. Why do I do this to myself?

Thinking about how in the first episode, if Mikey hadn't gotten in the way, Donnie, at the very least, was a formidable opponent to Baron Draxum. At the most, he could've single-handedly beaten him.

🌊It is estimated that 5.25 TRILLION pieces of trash are in our ocean! That’s a lot of trash, considering we shouldn’t even have any trash in our oceans!🐚
🌊It is just unbelievable how much trash we just dump into the ocean! Over 100,000,000 sea creature die per year due to trash in the ocean and getting tangled up in it too! Even if you don’t want to donate to ocean conservancies, at least keep in mind that every time you throw away trash, it will either go to a land fill or the ocean. So make sure you keep that in mind before you throw away things you can reuse or recycle!🌊

Revising my Call-To-Action speech outline before I submit it. Then I’ll have to practice my speech for tomorrow, right down my note cards and make my slide show presentation. All this while enjoying some peach herbal tea 🍵

when I drew this comic 3 years ago I had NO idea how far it would reach. I'm happy to finally share a corrected version with proper abbreviations, and even MORE state names of indigenous origin ♥️
however, the goal of this comic was to inspire people to do your OWN research on indigenous history. To question everything we have been taught, and everything that has been pointedly left out. This erasure, this “forgetting”, of history is not just of the past… it is happening now.
- Across so-called Canada, the US, and US-occupied islands, native women are victims of murder at 10-12x the rate of non-native people, and are the most likely to go missing without being searched for by the law.
- Native reservations have the highest rates of poverty in the US, with over HALF of tribal homes with no access to clean water (with more joining this list by the year)
- Native people are 6-10x more likely to be unhoused than the rest of the population, and native teens suffer suicide rates higher than any other demographic.
This list of modern day genocide goes on (thank you for compiling @theindigenousanarchist <3) and yet take a look at those environmental stats!
Native people manage to do SO much for the planet as a whole - thanklessly - and with all this stacked against them. Don't even get me started on kin fighting in south america. Could you imagine if there was help? #landback is resistance to genocide, and it is the key to saving our warming earth.
So look into it and the other hashtags, cuz a cartoon goose ain't a substitute for a proper education.
Love to my grandparents who always kept a map of tribal territories of turtle island on their wall, to speaking on our Tsalagi & Saponi heritage. Love & solidarity forever, happy research, and
happy #indigenouspeoplesday

(Also, if you care to support the artist, I'm publishing a book ! and writing another - a fantastical afroindigenous graphic novel - that I post exclusively about with tons of other art on my patreon.)
