8月30日に公開される映画『ガーンジー島の読書会の秘密』。

第二次大戦直後のイギリス・ガーンジー島を舞台に、ロンドンからやってきた作家・ジュリエットと、島の読書会メンバーの交流を描きながら、読書会メンバーが隠している秘密を解き明かしていく＜至福の＞ミステリーです。

読書会はなぜ始まったのか？会の創設者のエリザベスはなぜ姿を見せないのか？そんな謎解きもありながら、観客の心を惹きつけるのは、主人公・ジュリエットの好奇心とまっすぐな心で未来へと進んでいく姿でしょう。

本作を一足はやく観たシトウレイさんは、「人生を切り開く鍵が、この物語の中に詰まってる。」と、これまで自分の手で人生を切り開いてきた方らしいコメントを、一方、新井見枝香さんは、「書きたいものを見つけた作家は、もう誰にも止められやしない！」と、これまで多数の作家さんと交流してきた書店員さんならではのコメントをそれぞれ寄せてくれました。

共に内側に熱いものを秘めていることを感じさせるお二人のトークイベントが実現しました。

【出演者プロフィール】 シトウレイ 日本を代表するストリート・スタイル・フォトグラファー、ジャーナリスト。 世界各国のコレクション取材を行い、独自の審美眼で綴られる言葉と写真が人気を博している。 ファッションにおける感性の高さと分析力で講演や執筆、テレビやラジオ出演、商品プロデュースやコンサルタント等ジャンルを超えて活躍中。 ストリートスタイルの随一の目利きであり、「東京スタイル」の案内人。 また彼女自身のセンスもストリートフォトグラファーの権威「The Sartolialist」の著書で特集を組まれる等ファッション・インフルエンサーとしても活躍中。

新井見枝香 東京都出身、1980年生まれ。HMV&BOOKS HIBIYA COTTAGEに勤務する書店員。 独自に設立した文学賞「新井賞」の受賞作は、同時に発表される芥川賞・直木賞より売れることもある。 エッセー執筆、テレビやラジオへの出演も多数。
