Just to name a few that have influenced me a lot and continue to live in my head permanently! Sorry about the long post, I thought it'd be helpful if I included examples.
My favorite art movement is art nouveau, I like poster art and antique fairytale illustrations a lot, and in terms of art history I'm most interested in renaissance, early baroque and gloomy 19th century romanticism.

Sanna Annukka.
Annukka was born to a Finnish mother and a British father, and throughout her illustrations you can see how the Finland decoration, pattern and mythology style have inspired her work. Annukka has created illustrative patterns for a whole range of mediums such as prints, fabric, and also wood with her lovely wooden figure based on Finnish mythology “Soul Bird”.

Sanna Annukka is a UK born designer, illustrator, and printmaker who creates very bold, colorful, and ornate designs. She says that her inspirations come from her travels to other countries and learning about their cultures and mythology. She claims that she is from a very spiritual home and it shows in her subject matter and organic nature of design. Currently she works on silk screen prints and some product/package design. (nordstrom rack)
I really like Annukka’s work. I think it’s very fun, and it’s cleverly abstracted and organized. I also think that she seems to fit the description of an artist/illustrator rather than what is typically thought of a designer. When I see her work it doesn’t seem like she does much functional design work, but companies like the whimsy and playfulness of her design, so they adapt it to their product. Either way, I think what she’s doing is aesthetically pleasing and successful.

I read The Nutcracker recently (it was the version with Sanna Annukka’s illustrations and it was absolutely unique and beautiful!) and have been listening to tchaikovsky’s compositions for it all day. I loved it
I think it works pretty well with these guys too!
