keep me close (and never let me go)
minatozaki sana x fem!reader ; fluff ; wc: 1.9k
synopsis: sana can't sleep and you can't stop practicing
warnings: not proofread
a/n: hiiii it's been a bit, finals killed me and i've been terribly busy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a drop of sweat hits the floor once the song stops and your chest heaves up and down as you pause in your place. you let out a sharp sigh and ignore the aching in your limbs.
you’ve been practicing for who knows how long now, trying to perfect a dance for some special stage you have with a mix of various boy group idols. it’s in a month, but it’s better to get it down sooner than later.
before replaying the chorus, you take a short one-minute break before going back to practicing again, making sure that each movement is sharp and precise. a bead of sweat drips down your face, and each breath is less controlled. still, you managed to get the chorus down, but you weren’t pleased.
a frustrated groan leaves your lips before you walk over to the speaker, running a hand through your hair and gripping it tightly out of frustration.
as you do so, you hear the door open, and spot sana popping in with a small plastic grocery bag.
you look at her from the mirror, then turn to face her. “sana?”
she shrugs. “i couldn’t sleep.”
you watch her grab a blanket from the closet in the room and situate herself on the couch, laying down and pulling out her phone.
“keep going, sorry if i bothered you.” sana assures, “you weren’t at the dorm and i figured you’d be here. i didn’t know where else to go.”
“i don’t think the music will help you sleep.”
“well,” sana begins, looking away from her phone. “i always fall asleep easily around you and i like being around you anyway. just wanted to see you.”
you smile at the last part of her comment and try to fight the butterflies in your stomach. you chuckle awkwardly and clear your throat, then sana watches the corner up your lips curl up.
“i see… get comfy.”
with a small towel, you dab off any sweat on your face then replay the chorus again. you repeat the choreo of that section again, and it’s pretty acceptable during this run, which differs from the previous tries. while you dance, you notice sana from the corner of your eye. she lies down on her phone and the blanket covers her like a warm embrace, how lucky that blanket is.
you practiced the chorus two more times, singing a little on both those attempts and quickly growing tired from how vigorous all of it is. there’s a short fifteen second intermission before you go over the bridge once and then the chorus one last time before giving into your exhaustion. you decide to take a short break and wander off to the corner of the practice room. you exhale deeply as you squat down and check your phone.
click
your head perks up from the sound and the flash from the phone sana holds in her delicate hands. the two of you make eye contact and after catching the surprised look on sana’s face; you can’t help but smile in amusement.
“sorry, you looked funny on the floor like that. you kinda look like that one pokemon mina was showing us.” she giggles.
you mirror her smile and laugh with her. “wooper?”
“yes.” she responds, “you look just like it.”
“you’re so stupid.”
“and you’re so cute.” sana teases, easily making you shift your gaze elsewhere. you pull out your phone to snap a quick picture of her on the couch to call it even.
“you look funny like that too.” you say softly, then slowly get up with a low, exhausted groan. “kinda like weedle.”
“you hang out with mina too much.”
“whatever,” you roll your eyes, “you’re jealous.” you add, which earns a cute pout from the girl on the cushions. you walk over to the couch and plop down next to sana to give yourself a break, grabbing a small water bottle on the table in front of you and chugging it.
sana smiles and hands you a small towel before asking, “how long have you been practicing?”
“oh, um…” you checked the time on your phone, “11:14pm.” you mutter and raise your brows a bit at the sight, shocked at how you lost track of time. “two hours i guess.”
sana gets up in surprise and almost gasps, “are you serious?”
“yeah, i just needed some extra practice.” you shrug. sana motions you to sit closer to her.
“that’s a lot… have you had any breaks?” she asks. you’re quick to shake your head and scoot closer to her, setting the towel down on the table.
“it’s fine, i’m fine.” you assure quickly, but as soon as the words leave your mouth your body betrays your response. something in you shifts and you feel yourself losing balance, everything hits all at once and the timing was unfortunate. of course you started to feel the fatigue after you tried to stop her worrying. tiredly, you fall back onto the couch as your body loses all of its strength, arms falling limp by your side.
sana lets out a small breath, unhappy with your state. “you work yourself too much, i think you’re done for the night.”
for a short moment, you contemplate whether you should argue with her or not, but you’re not in any condition to argue with sana right now; you end up not going through with it. giving in, you use the last of your energy to scoot even closer and lean against her shoulder, picking up the scent of her floral fragrance—your favorite.
“i’m kind of worried about this whole special stage, the dancing style is different than a lot of our choreos.” you confess, “i just want to perfect it quickly.”
sana looks at you with creased brows and a frown, then intertwines her fingers with yours. “hey… don’t beat yourself up about this. you’re doing it well, trust me. i watched you redo the chorus even when you were tired, you did amazing.”
“you’re just saying that because-”
“i mean it y/n.” sana declares sternly, squeezing your hand tighter. you turn your head to face her and your eyes lock. she has this look in her eyes, it’s mixed with worry and determination, a mix that makes your heart break and yearn simultaneously. “y/n, you’re one of the best dancers i know, seriously. you always manage to get any choreography we’re given down so fast, and just because you’re struggling with it this time you’re second guessing yourself and i hate that. you’re capable of so much, but you’re letting a small mishap get to your mind just like before.”
“before” rings in your head, you know exactly what this “before” is. sana frowns and holds both your hands now. you stare at her with your eyes widened and try to form a response, but nothing gets past your lips.
“you’re a hard worker, and i admire that—but don’t work yourself until you collapse. i’ve known you since we were trainees and i-” she looks down and tightens her jaw, then gazes into your eyes again. “i can’t bear to see you so harsh on yourself like that again. we’re not trainees anymore, i don’t want you stressing like that again.”
“sana…” you start. still, the words you wanted to say rolled around in your throat relentlessly but never made their way out. you smile appreciatively and hold her hand tighter. without hesitation and a sudden confidence, you lean in a bit closer and sana feels a warm pair of lips on her cheek. her eyebrows raise and her pulse quickens, she’s all warm inside when you linger for a moment. you stretch your arms out and hug her after, your eyes close as you rest your head on her shoulder. “i feel better now that you’re here, thank you.”
she smiles and pushes her nose into your neck before melting into your body and muttering, “of course, i care about you more than you know.”
“me too sha.”
the two of you stay there for a bit longer, simply enjoying each other’s presence and comfort. it’s always been like this, you and sana had been close as trainees and were always there for each other. even years later—after twice’s debut and a handful of successful comebacks—sana was always there when you needed her; always by your side no matter what. it was hard to keep your admiration and feelings for her platonic.
you fell for her because she was—and still is—the sweetest, most genuine person you know. ever since you were trainees, no, ever since your first meeting with her; she’s brightened up the atmosphere just by existing. you admired her talent, her charm, and her love for others, and after realizing she was the prettiest woman on earth—inside and outside—there wasn’t going back.
falling for someone like her was inevitable, but you had to conceal your true emotions toward her no matter what. being her friend was everything to you, and you couldn’t screw up your life because of some feelings for someone you’d consider your whole world.
the two of you held onto each other in silence for a little before you pulled away first, scared that lingering too long would be too weird (sana didn’t mind, if anything; she’d cling to you forever).
“you’re being really cute right now y/n.” she giggled, grinning so hard that her eyes start to shine a little.
“you’re a tease.” you sigh, trying to mask how flustered she gets you. sana laughs again.
“i like your reactions.” she admits, “now come on, you must be tired. get some rest pretty.”
she lies down on the couch again and taps her stomach, signaling you to lay down on her. you look at her like she’s crazy, and she just smiles.
of course you wanted to accept this offer and despite this offer being a common one—it’s sana, whenever she’s with you she can’t keep her hands off—you couldn’t accept it, especially not after your two-hour practice.“i’m all gross and sweaty.” you argue, “i can’t.”
“you’re not that gross and sweaty, come on.” she insists, tugging on your sleeve. again, you fail to argue back and give in to her antics especially when she gives you those sparkly puppy eyes. slowly, you lower yourself onto her and she accepts you with open arms, eagerly pulling you closer to her. “you’re not that gross or sweaty, do you not like when i—“
“no, no.” you’re quick to dismiss her, “i like it sana, i love it.”
“good,” sana mumbles against you. “that’s what i thought.”
sana feels more of your weight push down on her as you situate yourself comfortably in her arms. you shift over one last time and your arm ends up wrapped around her waist, your head is in the crook of her neck, and sana wraps her arms around your upper back. sana feels your chest heave up and down against her own and moves her hand to massage your scalp.
as soon as sana does that you groan tiredly, making her giggle softly and it makes your heart flutter even as you start to fall asleep.
sana waits a few minutes before pausing the movement of her hand in your hair, then asks quietly, “are you asleep?”
silence follows.
she smiles and closes her own eyes, then pushes strands of hair that frame your sleeping face.
“you shouldn’t work yourself so much y/n,” she sighs. sana lifts her head up just a bit and tilts her head, then kisses your forehead softly, keeping her lips there for a few seconds before relaxing back into the couch.
“goodnight y/n, i love you always.”

Three is a magic number - it makes you want me even more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Acting like a brat doesn't end well.
Tumblr media
handcuffs ; degradation ; dacryphilia ; a little bit edging ; a little bit of overstimulating ; some petnames ; use of a whip ; thigh riding ; reader is getting called miss ; not proofread, guys what the fuck happened to me... is this even nr1chaedickrider anymore... ; ^_^
men dni.
-
Her ass sways to the left and right side as she walks. Her already short dress rides up even higher, showing her ass off.
You wish that it would atleast show a bit of her underwear - but no.
Her naked ass is right infront of you.
A night that was supposed to be "fun" turned out to you dragging her back home.
A night that was supposed to be about spending time with friends and drinking alcohol turned into you almost throwing her onto your bed.
You straddle her and sit down on her lap, trapping her with your legs.
She sits up and supports her body with her elbows, looking up to you with lidded eyes - and a nasty smirk that comes with it just seconds after.
"Such a slut" you say, breaking the silence.
The tension is thick, the atmosphere of the room full of lust, anger and - sex.
She raises an eyebrow, tries not to smile at the name calling.
"Am I? I think I behaved just like usually."
You scoff, laughing at her statement (which is in your opinion crazy).
"If you call this your usual behavior then we have a big problem." you say, standing up as you walk to the closet.
"Clothes off, now." you add in a tone that makes her cunt throb, in a way that got her so needy for you, in a tone that sounds like you're ordering her to do something (which you are technically really doing).
She obeys, taking her dress off and letting it fall down on the floor before laying down on the bed again.
Your eyes wander around the closet, looking at different boxes, knowing that you're searching for that special box.
You chuckle a little when you find it and open it. Taking out two things -
First, metal handcuffs.
Second, a leather whip, with thin threads that hurt even more when used.
The combination of you and these two things is dangerous.
Sana always had a thing for danger.
Sana also thinks that three is her favorite number.
Handcuffs, leather whip, and lastly, the most important part -
you.
You turn around to the bed again, carrying both of those in your hands as you sit down on her lap again.
She watches you with anticipation, not being able to hide her smirk anymore.
Without saying anything, you take her wrists and attach the handcuffs to them. The cold metal sends Sana a shiver down her spine.
You then look at her again, the whip in your hand.
"Leave your arms over your head." you order her, and she nods.
Your slim fingers slowly trail over her body, touching her in a way that got her craving for more.
Your hand cups her cheek, and you can't hide the chuckle that leaves your mouth when you look at Sana who looks at you so desperately. Sana, who watches you and hopes that you finally do something to help her get off.
At this moment, however, hope doesn't help her.
You stroke her cheek with your thumb before you lean in to kiss her other cheek.
Sana tries to move, tries to catch your lips so desperately, but you move away, your and her lips not even touching for a single second.
She lets out a small whine, making you laugh.
"Do you really think im gonna let you get a kiss so easily?" you ask.
"You're pathetic"
You feel her thighs move against eachother.
"Trying to rub your thighs together to somehow get relief?" you tease her.
"Please-" she asks, no, she begs, brows furrowed as she looks up to you.
The whip hits her chest and she lets out a whimper.
"Please what?" you ask her.
"Please miss-" she lets out, her chest already turning into a light shade of red.
"I need you so bad"
You laugh.
"Too bad."
You get off her lap, opening her legs as you settle inbetween them.
You watch her breathe as she stares at you, she can't stop looking at the way your white wife beater shows off your body so well, and how you're nipples are a little visible because you didn't want to wear a bra today (which is in her opinion problably the best decision ever).
Your finger trails down her stomach to her core, moving it through her folds as she lets out a moan.
You pull your hand away, looking at her slick on your finger.
"You're so desperate.. what am I supposed to do with you baby?" you ask, knowing damn well what you want to do.
Edge her until she is almost crying for you.
Overstimulate her till she begs you to stop while she herself knows she doesn't want you to stop.
"Please.. miss.. just- I need you inside, so fucking bad-" she answers, hips moving slightly in hopes of getting touched.
You laugh a little at her desperateness and at the way she really hopes that you will give in that easily.
But there is no fun to it if you don't make her think that you gave in hm?
Your middle and ring fingers enter her core and she lets out a louder moan, head leaned back.
"God-" she moans.
You move your fingers in a fast way, curling them and hitting the spots that got Sana throwing her head back even more.
You lean closer to her, kissing her neck as your fingers thrust into her. She lets out a whimper when you start to suck and bite on her neck, marking her up.
Your hot breath against her neck and your fingers moving so skillful got her already close to her orgasm.
And she really thought that you would give it to her.
You pull out your fingers that are covered with her slick.
Sana lets out a groan when she feels the emptiness.
"You're stupid" you say, chuckling at the way she pouts a little.
"Turn around" you order, she obeys and turns around so she is on all fours infront of you. She looks at you over her shoulder, her look full of lust and need.
You take a deep breath, trying not to give in immideatly by the way she looks at you that definetly got you wet.
You caress her ass with the whip, Sana still looks at you, not able to take her eyes off you.
"Count them and i'll let you cum baby." you say and she nods, her bottom lip trapped between her teeth.
"one-" she moans out when you hit her, and you definetly can't hide your smile anymore.
You hit her again, "two.." she whimpers.
Your other hand starts to touch her everywhere.
You grope her tits and play with her sensitive nipples as she tries to hold back her moans.
Another hit, "three-".
"Such a good whore for me, aren't you?" you whisper against her body as you kiss her soft skin.
The whip hits her again, the beige skin on her ass slowly fading to a darker shade of red.
"F-four" she moans.
You decide that you won't give her any time to relax anymore.
You hit again, "five"
And again, "six-" her eyes slowly full of tears, her wetness being uncomfortably bothering.
Again, "seven.."
Hit eight and nine happen fast without a single break, making Sana stutter as a tear flows down her cheek.
You hit her for the last time - "ten" she says, and you smile as you put the whip away and caress her ass with your hand.
You turn her around again, on her back.
She pants a little, her arms lifted over her head, the handcuffs tight around her wrists, problably already leaving red marks.
You place your hand on her core, slowly rubbing her clit with your fingers.
She lets out some soft moans, you lean in and kiss her lips, no teasing, no nothing.
Your lips on hers - it feels like kissing the softest pillow in the whole world.
The kiss turns messy pretty fast though.
Sana's breathing gets heavier as you trail kisses down her jaw, adding more hickeys on her neck and collarbone - claiming her as yours.
Your fingers thrust inside with no warning, she moans loud.
You smirk against her skin as you move your fingers with skill.
You continue kissing her everywhere, your lips trailing down to her breast as you take one of her erected buds into your mouth, sucking, licking, and biting a little.
Her moans grow louder, she is overwhelmed in the best way possible. Her climax comes closer as you feel her walls thighten around your fingers.
"Wanna hear you so bad, cum for me like the good girl you are." you say (which sounds more like an order).
She nods a little, eyes closed, her head thrown back.
A little thrusting and teasing her nipples got her cumming on your fingers with a loud moan.
You take your fingers out, cleaning them up a little while holding eye contact with Sana.
"Taste yourself baby" you wait for her to open her mouth as you push your fingers inside, feeling how she sucks on them, feeling how she uses your tongue that got you dripping.
You take them out with a little 'pop' sound.
Before Sana can say anything though, you kneel down - infront of her core, and dive right in.
She starts to turn into a moaning mess again as you suck on her clit.
Her thighs try to close around your head, but you hold them in place with your hands.
"You can touch me." you mumble, the vibrations making her let out another moan.
Her cuffed hands make their way down to your head, gripping your hair as she pulls you closer.
Sana had moments where she could get overstimulated easily.
She moans loud when your tongue enters her hole.
This moment here, is one of them.
She feels you everywhere as her hips buck into your face, her moans turning into desperate whimpers.
Her next orgasm isn't far away when your nose hits her clit as you move your head.
You feel your scalp burning when she pulls at your hair and cums.
She lets your head go seconds after, panting as another tear rolls down her cheek.
You sit up again, looking at her with a smile.
What was Sana's favorite number again?
Three.
Her three favorite things in bed - you, a whip, handcuffs.
Her favorite way of getting off - your fingers, your tongue, your thigh.
Seems like one thing is missing.
You grip her slim waist with your hands as you pull her on your lap.
She looks at you in confusion before she realises.
You flex your thigh and start to move her a little as she moans again.
"W-wait-" she whimpers, the handcuffs on her hands stopping her.
She feels overwhelmed, overstimulated -
and so fucking horny.
She feels like she is going to explode with another orgasm.
But she always loved the pain that comes with it.
You don't even have to grind her on your thigh anymore as she starts moving herself on your thigh, moaning, whimpering, and panting.
"Riding my thigh like a bitch in heat god... You want to cum so bad, don't you?" you ask her, whispering it against her marked up neck as you place kisses on top of them.
She nods and continues to ride you so desperately.
Your hands move up her body as you play with her nipples again, flicking them and even pinching them.
Her moans get louder already, you bite down on her neck again as you leave another mark, sucking and licking over it.
For a moment you think you even had the taste of iron on your tongue.
You look at her, watching how Sana is already so close to her climax as you kiss her again.
You both groan a little against each others lips as her body starts to shake a little as she cums on your thigh.
Sana's head is on your shoulder as she slowly calms down.
"God.." she breathes out.
You giggle a little as you free her from the handcuffs, and see that they really left some marks.
Sana looks at you again, her hands moving on your body until they hold your face.
She moves your head closer so that her lips are right infront of your ear.
She whispers something that makes you want to take off your clothes immideatly - as well as putting on the handcuffs yourself.
"Let me take care of you."

there’s been more situations worse than this one. break the eggs and someone’s gotta make the omelet.
“who was that?”
you’re sitting on the couch while mina paces in front of you, arms crossed over with your chest in a self-soothing gesture. sana was sent back to your room, but you can’t help but wish that she was right here and next to you—it would make you feel braver than she was.
“well?” mina demands. “who?”
“my…she’s my girlfriend.” the lie you just spat tastes like ash in your mouth.
“she’s older.”
“not by much,” you protest. “only eight years.”
“eight—? y/n, you’re almost twenty-two. what are you doing with a woman nearly in her thirties?”
“i’m turning twenty-three in a month or so. don’t insult me.”
“i just don’t know what a twenty-nine year old woman would want with a college kid.”
“kid?” you scoff. “geez, that’s so rich coming from you. how old is your business associate again?”
“this isn’t about me, smartass. it’s about you getting involved with someone whose intentions are a big fat question mark!”
“so what?! why would it matter if i’m graduating next semester with my life ahead of me. stop treating me like how auntie was with you!”
mina stares at you, silently, and her lack of reaction only serves to piss you off even more. so you keep going:
“and sana doesn’t have any shitty intentions with me! she’s my—my girlfriend and she’s good to me! she treats me well and she likes me. she texts me everyday and she comes over all the time and—!”
“does she help with expenses?”
you’re stopped dead in your tracks. “what?”
“does she give you money? you haven’t complained about finances recently.”
“i never complain about fiances, mina.”
“i know, but i can always tell when you’re stressed about them and you haven’t been. so let me ask again: does sana give you money?”
“i—” you stammer with the words. you can see the deeper question in mina’s eyes, probing you. forcing you to be truthful. “she…”
“i think if you’re gonna ask y/n about her finances, it’s probably safest to talk to me.”
the both of you whirl around to look at sana. she has her arms folded, foot bent as she leans against the wall. her expression is polite but her gaze is flat, angry. the simultaneous relief and anxiety that swells within you is strong enough to make you unsteady, and you’re grasping at the arm of the couch.
mina, fortunately, is ignorant to this.
“what did you say?”
“i said if you’re asking about whether i give your cousin any money, your best bet is to come directly to me instead of interrogating her.”
“you’ve got a lot of nerve to say that shit to me when this was happening behind my back.”
sana just shrugs. “i just don’t appreciate what you’re implying.”
“and what exactly am i implying?”
“that i have shady intentions towards y/n, which i don’t.”
your heart in chest thuds, staring down at your trembling fingers, clenching them over your lap. mina’s eyes flicker towards sana’s richard mille. “that’s a nice watch. you make money?”
“mina.” you hiss.
“i make a comfortable living.”
mina scoffs and rolls her eyes, muttering something under her breath. “rich people bullshit,” you can faintly hear her say. sana doesn’t reply, face remaining placid. her and mina have a loaded exchange of looks, before your cousin falters, gaze flickering to you.
“you want dinner?” mina inquires.
you blink. “i’m…why?”
“answer the question.”
“i guess im hungry?”
“wonderful.” mina snaps her stare back to sana, voice hard. “what about you?”
sana’s tone is emotionless. “i could eat something.”
“great,” mina says, zipping up her puffer. “let’s go get some thanksgiving dinner then.”
you all pack into mina’s car to drive to some restaurant of her choosing, the silence tense enough to cut. when she parks alongside the street, she orders you out of the car, telling to secure a table.
stumbling out, your characteristic grace rendered to nothing due to your anxiety. you step inside the small, hole-in-the-wall pizza restaurant, and ask the hose for a three person table booth. seeing that sana and your cousin aren’t behind you, you allow the host to lead to the table that’s in a corner to the far end of the entrance. after three excruciating minutes, you see the pair walk inside. sana’s expression is blank, and mina’s is unreadable. this does absolutely nothing to calm your nerves.
they sit down, mina across from you and sana at your side. she places her warm hand over your trembling knee, thumb stroking your skin to calm you, grasping it, intertwining fingers. sana squeezes back for comfort.
“so,” you begin shakily. “um—”
“you lied to me,” mina interrupts firmly, eyes hard, reducing you to a feeble child. it angers you. “why did you lie to me?”
“because i knew you would do this. because i knew you were gonna say something about it to auntie sometime later.”
“about what?”
“my decisions. my life. the way i choose to live my life. it’s why you do shit like this.”
mina narrows her eyes, offended. “care to elaborate more?”
“come here under the guise of checking up on me. interrogate me.”
“i only came because i knew you were lying to me.”
“and i lied because i know how controlling you are just like auntie!”
mina’s expression sours. “i’m not controlling like her.”
“yes, you are.” you snap. “you’re either controlling or completely detached. you either forget to call me for two months because you’re busy or you do random check-ins with me everyday for a week. i’m twenty-two years old and you still treat me like this only because auntie’s health hasn’t been well.”
“i don’t have any other choice.” she says tightly. “i don’t know how much auntie has left with time, but—” mina catches herself off, jaw clenching, and looks away from you. you and sana. “we may not be related by blood, but i still consider you my family. i’m sorry if i came off as cold or unmoving, but you’re all i have left.”
sana shifts beside you. “maybe i should—”
“no, it’s fine.” mina says, and glances back up. brown eyes meet yours, a mirror image. “i was just about to leave anyway.”
“what?” you gasp out.
“you shouldn’t.” sana interjects.
mina waves a dismissive hand. “i’ve said everything i wanted to say. to both of you.”
“don’t go if you’re gonna regret it later, mina,” sana warns. mina barks a laugh, tightening her jacket. “if you wanna be apart of our family, sana, learn the way we operate. y.n and i don’t carry regrets.”
she pointedly glances at you and you respond with shaking your head, mouthing a silent no. without any further ceremony, mina shoulders her handbag, moving to step forward. however, she hesitates and looks back at you, stopping in place.
“if you want me to be convinced you can hold out on your one, then act like it. stop giving so much of a shit about what i have to say. i spout just as much crap as everyone else. it’s up to you if you want to ignore me if you want.”
speechless, your mouth is parted, but mina was already on her way out of the restaurant by the time you can think of any words. when you see the black streak of her car driving way, you sigh, burying your face in your hands.
“i’m such a bitch.”
“don’t talk about yourself like that,” sana says, voice firm but touch soft, stroking down the line of your back. “she told me in the car she was gonna leave.”
“why?”
“same reason she just gave just now. she said everything she wanted to say to both of us.”
“and what did she say to you?”
“a better question is what i did say to her.”
you can’t help with the rush of cold fear that grips you. “what did you say?”
“what i felt about you. what you are to me.”
and it’s not the truth because it can’t be the truth—mina would’ve throttled sana otherwise—but the tenderness in her voice implores you to look up from your hands at her, to believe her. she reaches over to brush your hair out of your face, eyes sweet like liquid candy, mouth curling to smile. you crumble, falling into her.
“i’m sorry. i’m sorry you had to put up with that.”
“it’s fine, sweetheart.”
“no, it’s not. it’s awful and it’s unhealthy and i’m dumping my baggage onto you.”
“i don’t care. i want to know everything about you.” you flush, and sana adds, “also, if you think that’s bad you should meet my family. i’ve grown up with struggles of not being up to par with my relatives and being the laughing stock because of my lack of success. it’s half the reason i’m calling out of thanksgiving tomorrow. that and the fact that i’m working.”
“what?” you gasp, sitting up. “you’re working tomorrow?”
sana toys with a lock of your hair. “people get injured everyday unfortunately.”
“we should do something.”
“you don’t want to eat here?”
“i get one dollar pizza with irene at least once a week. we should do something special.”
a grin cracks sana’s face in half, radiant. “what if i made us dinner?”
“you can cook?”
“of course i can. i even have a special bacon mac and cheese recipe.”
“but i don’t have bacon.”
“we can take the subway to the grocery store and then take it back to your house when i can cook. c’mon, it’ll be fun.”
you bite your lip to suppress a smile. sana kisses it free. when she pulls back, you lean into her palm, lashes fluttering against the skin of it.
“okay, you lead the way then.”
grocery shopping with sana is efficient.
she doesn’t linger in aisles to windowshop. sana simply grabs what she wants and goes, one hand gripping a pack of bacon and a box of mac and cheese, the other hand clasped with your own. they’re in and out within five minutes.
the subway ride is almost as quick but fun, which is a strange thing to have on the g-train but it’s true. sana crowds you against the pole, shielding you from the other passengers as she whispers her judgment of them in your ears, speculating that the married couple standing across from them is miserable, will always be miserable, because they can’t ever feel what you and sana do.
the game is mean-spirited, you know, but sana’s ridiculousness makes you laugh. makes your stomach bubbly and your body light, fizzy like you’re made of crisp champagne. as sana kisses the curve of your ear, you think that you quite like the idea of being in on an inside joke with her.
you’re stumbling into the apartment within the hour, teeth chattering from the cold. sana removes your coat and scarf, hanging them on your rack before taking the grocery bag and hurrying into the kitchen. she looks excited, her lips spread wide in a near-permanent grin. you settle onto one of the high chairs, watching sana waltz around your kitchen like it’s familiar to her. it must be at this point.
“so. bacon mac and cheese.”
“a family recipe,” sana says, pulling a pot from the bottom cabinet. “my grandma used to make it for my mom when she was a kid. growing up pretty poor so she says this was basically a delicacy to her.”
“i can relate. when i was little, my favorite thing to eat was those cup ramen noodles that mina and auntie used to throw bits of beef and chicken in.”
“cup ramen is always good.”
sana fills the pot with water, placing it over the stove top and setting the heat on high. she then walks to your fridge to pull out a bottle of prosecco. “this is fancy.”
“hardly,” you snort. “i got it for fifteen bucks.”
“all wine target the same whether it’s five or fifty dollars. take it from someone who drinks the fancy shit at parties,” sana says, popping the cork off. she grabs two glasses and files them halfway before passing one to you.
sana raises it. “cheers.”
“happy thanksgiving.”
so you and sana drink. relishing in the sweet, crisp burn of the prosecco as it goes down, the alcohol warming you instantly. sana’s eyes on you are equally warm and dangerously fond. you take another sip to swallow down the mutinous rise of hope.
soon enough, the water starts boiling and sana pours the macaroni in, stirring it. you like it. you like the look of sana in your kitchen, her ease. the domesticity implied. you basically want to sink into it.
you get off your chair to slowly approach sana from behind, sliding your arms around her middle and leaning your cheek against the curve of her shoulder. sana leans into you, and you rise up to your toes, pressing lips to her cheek, kissing sana softly. when she sighs, head tilting down, you kiss sana again. again and again. wanting a tattoo of your affection to be left behind.
dropping back to your heels, and sana’s gaze finds yours, soft as silk. she curls her hand into your hair and brings you close, mouth against your forehead, nose in your hairline, breathing in.
“go sit down,” sana murmurs. “finish your drink.”
you step away from sana, chest hollow like you’re leaving something behind.
sana feeds you bites of mac and cheese that tastes a bit burnt.
“a capricorn mars?” sana asks, lips around the same fork. she dips it back into the bowl to fish for more macaroni. “what the fuck is that?!”
“okay so, everyone has planet placements—asteroids too but that’s more specific—and each of the planets has a specific meaning. i already explained that your sun sign—”
“capricorn.”
“capricorn, right—was the core of your personality. your moon sign is your private face, or your emotional center. mercury is communication. venus is romance and aesthetics—which might be an additional for you. and mars is aggression and sexuality.”
“and mine is in capricorn?”
“yeah, and capricorn is the domicile of mars.”
“it means that capricorn and virgo are already ruled by mars. the placement feels natural.”
“ah.” sana’s arms tighten around you, setting you higher up on her lap. “so that means i’m naturally aggressive and sexual?”
“no,” you laugh. “it means that it’s just an easier fit. that there isn’t any friction between the planet and sign. like, capricorns are very expressive in their confidence and humility. grounded with their words and they don’t sugarcoat what they say, they mean it.” you say, tapping sana’s chin, tugging on it with your thumb. “and they do it straightforwardly. mars suits it.”
sana nips at your thumb. “like you aren’t.”
“i’m a gemini,” you say. “a dynamic sign. two sides to show to the world.”
sana grins, and you move your hand up pushing her hair back. “how do you know all this stuff anyway?”
“i had a light…astrology phase in high school.”
“astrology?”
“yeah. my stuff might be off, but that’s to the best of my memory. but i dabbled with oujia birds. summoning, that kind of shit.”
“summoning?”
“i never actually summoned anything,” you mutter, flashing. “none of the spells worked.”
sana laughs, which earns your glare. you shiver when she reaches up and traces the curve of your ear.
“this explains the bit of eye bags to sell the dark look i’m getting out here.”
“pfft,” you stifle a laugh, turning your head off to the side. “the eye bags were from an insomnia phase i had during my first year of college. i didn’t know how to function at times, and my roommate was genuinely concerned when i brought up my terrible last two years of high school. i think i might’ve scared her.”
“really?”
“that’s another story for later, but let’s just say that it wasn’t pretty if you saw me like that.”
“wow,” sana says, impressed with your growth and resilience. “i was totally normal during high school.”
“i see and believe that.”
the only warning before sana flips you over and pins you on the couch is a flash of teeth, a mean smile. you cry, “the macaroni!” but sana already has it safely on the ground, her other hand moving to tickle your ribs. you’re shrieking, jerking in her hold.
“don’t!”
“what?” sana asks, laying over you, fingers sliding up your waist. “you’re ticklish?”
“no.”
“i think you are.”
“i’ll kick you.”
“no, you won’t,” sana says, but traps your thighs between her knees anyway. she lowers her head, mouth warm against your neck. “you’re too sweet.”
“sana—”
she offers you no mercy. with a simple crook of her fingers, she’s tickling you, trapping you against teh couch as you squirm and giggle beneath her. sana’s hands dip past your shirt to find your bare skin, relentless. while you writhe, sana shoves her face into your neck and hums.
“y-you’re–sana, you’re gonna kill me!”
“no, i’m not.”
“i can’t—” you erput into another laughing fit, tears in your eyes. “i can’t breathe!”
“you’re such a baby,” sana says, but slides her hands away to rest them on either side of your head. once you’ve recovered, you wrap your arms around sana’s neck and secure her to you. sana kisses the ridge of your jaw, sinking into you with a deep exhale. as if expelling a weight inside you.
“do you want to watch a movie?” you ask, fingers toying with the ends of her hair.
“sure. something nice.”
“like what? a rom-com?”
“yeah. i like those.”
you laugh. “do you really? i was expecting you to be more of a different answer than that.”
“were you expecting action movies?”
“but you prefer romance?”
“if they’re good.” when you look at sana disbelievingly, defensiveness enters her tone. “what?”
“i don’t know. a lot of people didn’t like them because it set unrealistic standards. or, at least that’s what my ex said.”
“well, your ex was a fucking idiot,” sana says heatedly. “there’s nothing unrealistic about it.”
there’s nothing unrealistic about grand, sweeping gestures and spotanoeulsy confessing your undying love in the middle of an airport?”
sana raises her head from your chest to look at you. “not unless if you’re a coward.”
you snort, a slow start to what would eventually become a full belly laugh. sana’s expression sours with every giggle, but when you throw your head back and knock it against the arm of the couch, sana reaches out to cradle it. while you recover, sana chooses a move, fingers soothing the bump.
by the time the credits of the second movie roll, sana rises from her position on your chest to sit up. she rubs her palms over her face, yawning.
“i have to go,” sana says with some regret, her eyes half-lidded. “i have work in the morning.”
you want to protest but feel ridiculously for it, childishly selfish. instead, you give sana a tight smile and follow her to the door, grabbing her coat from the rack to help her in it. you then take her scarf, pretty purple and wooly in your hands, holding out to her. sana smiles and drapes it over her neck. the open door behind her lets in an icy chill, and she binds you against her, broad palms cupping your face.
you love sana’s eyes. it strikes you suddenly as she tugs you closer, dazzling brown swallowing your vision. you wish the whole world could be that color. it could be that beautiful.
“i’ll call you tomorrow,” sana says.
your voice is soft, too small in your throat. “okay.”
sana smiles and ducks down to kiss you, lips warm and sweet and awfully chaste. you surge closer to meet her, trying to deepen it, but she doesn’t let you. she simply pecks the swell of your bottom lip again and leans back to look at you. the overwhelming affection on her face sends a bolt through you, sends a shiver up your spine that she mistakes for chill. concern flares in her eyes as she takes the scarf from her neck.
“are you cold?” sana asks, already pulling it off, settling it over your shoulders. “is it because the door is open?”
“i—” you can’t speak over the wool that covers your mouth. sana sloppily wraps it around you, her own body heat bleeding into you, nestling sweetly like hot chocolate beneath your skin. after she’s thrown the tail over your head, she tucks the scarf under your chin and asks, “is that better?”
“yes,” you manage to croak out.
sana smiles again and kisses you for the last time. when she steps back, the distance hurts. “i’ll see you later.”
“see you soon,” you whisper out to her, hand lingering out. the last thing you see before sana locks the door behind her is her smile.
it almost hurts not to follow.
“y/n!”
you pause, just steps outside of the auditorium. turning to see doyoung, your thesis editor and a TA for the psychology and ethics class. you smile as he approaches you, adjusting your coat against the chill. “hi.”
“hey,” doyoung says, grinning. “you just watched the lecture, right?”
“yeah. it was great. i didn’t know you were gonna attend.”
“i didn’t know you would attend either,” he says. “if i did, i would’ve asked if you wanted to sit together.”
smiling, close-mouthed, unsure of how to respond to that. doyoung barrels on before you can settle on anything. “do you want to meet her?”
“who? the lecturer?”
“mrs. cho, yeah.”
suspended in time for a second, you blink. “you know her?”
“yeah! i was one of her research assistants about a year and a half ago. she’s great. do you wanna meet her?”
“uh—sure, i would love to,” you say, a bit mystified, trailing after him when he starts to walk back into the auditorium.
doyoung leads you towards the stage where a woman who appeared to be around your height stands, chatting amiably with one of your professors. when doyoung calls her name, she looks over to you, sending a broad grin.
“kim doyoung?” she asks. is that you?”
“yes, ma’am,” he says, climbing onto the stage, reaching back to help you up. “it’s really nice to see you again.”
“it’s great to see you! how are things?”
“great!”
“and you’re almost done right? got not long now before you’ll be on the way out into the real world.”
“yeah, i’ve got most of the things done before applying for graduation. i even do some editing for other students on the side. speaking of.” doyoung reaches back, setting his hand on your back to gesture you forward. “this is one of the students i edit for.”
mrs. cho shifts her attention towards you. noticing how remarkably pretty she was up close compared to sitting a few rows back. she has bright red hair that was noticeable from far, fair skin with rosy cheeks that encapsulate a bubbly personality when she spoke to the class. for some reason her laugh and mannerisms were similar to a familiar person. you couldn’t put your thumb to it, but the fact that her occupation was also in the medical field should’ve sent the alarms ringing.
“and who this might be?” she asks.
“y/n l/n. she’s a bachelors student in the pipeline for the masters program.”
“y/n–” her eyes shot up. you’re startled by the intense reaction of you, the way her jaw drops like the two biggest dots were just connected. “y/n l/n? are you actually y/n l/n?”
“uh.” you’re glancing at doyoung who seems confused as you were. “y-yes, that’s me.”
mrs. cho covers her mouth with both of her hands, hiding her smile. “my goodness that’s amazing! do you know sana?”
“sana?” your heart swells, stomach sinking as the realization slaps across you ten-fold. how could’ve you been so blind? one of sana’s closest friends, miyeon. miyeon. sana’s shown the pictures of her on that one hangout they had when they were in medschool, dressing up like boys with dad hats backwards and nerdy glasses that looked surprisingly cute and wished sana looked like that for you.
“no way.” you breathe out.
“oh my god!” miyeon echoes. “this is crazy!”
“who is sana?” doyoung asks, reminding you abruptly of his presence.
“my best friend,” miyeon eagerly replies, gaze unwaveringly on her face. “this is incredible.”
“you know me? or at least about me?” you ask, reeling. “sana…she’s told you about me?”
“of course she has! she talks about you all the time. she even mentioned that you were a psychology student, but i didn’t know that you studied at this university.”
your lips quick. “what a small world.”
“it definitely is. so tell me more about your degree. sana said that it had something to do with kids?”
“well, yeah. i’m studying child’s psychology with a cognitive-behavioral focus. doyoung’s helping me with my thesis right now actually.”
well, you might’ve just embarrassed yourself. doyoung already mentioned that to her.
“interesting, but cognitive-behavioral?” miyeon playfully raises her brows. “what are you doing attending the lecture of an exponential researcher?”
“i find it to broaden my avenues, besides being well-rounded.”
miyeon laughs, delighted. “that it does, my dear. sana said that you were bright in studies.”
your cheeks flush, the natural instinct to ask for what else, what else has she said, forming. that is, until doyoung says, “sorry. i’m a little lost. how do you know sana, y/n?”
speechless for a moment, you’re transported back to the soft golden lights and the shine of her oxford shoes, the taste of lemon drop martinis on your tongue. the four seasons and five hundred dollars in your purse, completely unexplainable much like sana is, because there are no words to describe her.
there are, however, words to describe you.
“y/n,” miyeon says, leaning forward to take your chin on her fingers, startling you. “is the greatest gift sana ever had the pleasure of finding.”
and all at once your excitement dashes into nothing, letting dread sink into you, curling around your body like a vice, tigeting around your neck. suddenly, miyeon’s enthusiasm takes a different meaning, another shape. it’s not friendly but sordid. not curious but propositional. maybe, it might’ve been, if sana ever offered to share.
it’s the thought that makes your heart crack open. just a few days ago, she was in your house, laying over you, kissing you with enough affection that you could drown in it. you thought—you’re not even entirely sure why anymore but you thought—it was real. it could’ve been real. the hope was there.
“wow,” doyoung says, laughing awkwardly, but the sound barely registers over the roaring din in your ear canals. “i didn’t know you had a girlfriend.”
she’s not my fucking girlfriend, you’re saying to yourself visioulxy, spiterully. with sorrow. sana’s not your fucking girlfirned and she never was. you were just her gift. a thing to fuck around with.
“i’m sorry,” you say, blinking fast, speaking through the lump in your throat. “i really have to go.”
“oh.” miyeon looks genuinely disappointed, but you can’t be sure. perhaps it’s because she was hoping you’d offer a more nicer regard than what just transpired now. you wonder about the stories sana’s told, if she’s shown miyeon your pictures. “well, it was nice meeting you. i hope we’ll see each other again.”
you nod once, a jerky motion, and a spin of the heel to race out of the auditorium. by the time you reach to the chill outdoors, you’re crying, hot tears streaming down your face, heartbreak nearly forcing you to the knees.
wiping them away roughly, shame makes you red-faced. once you tended to the other cheek, fingers tugging the scarf around your neck, it feels like a collar to a degree–and you’re choking on another sob.
a terrible tragedy it seems, to be owned.
avoiding contact, you’re fielding sana’s calls for the next week or so.
you can’t claim that you don’t mean to because you do. every text asking is everything okay? something wrong? gets a yes, of course. every text asking are you okay, are you mad at me? gets a no. no, of course not. why would i be?
how amusing that you have a chock-full of little excuse, but the end result still stands: you don’t want to talk to sana.
this also means that you're miserable.
the tried-and-true method of compartmentalizing your feelings ceases to work when your sorrow over sana bleeds into everything. you can’t focus enough to do your assignments, be mindful enough to smile at work, to write when doyoung says that you should. to eat, even, because it’s hard to stomach anything when you’re angry at her and it’s hard to exist and not speak to her. over the course of three months, sana’s embedded herself into every facet of your life. function without her now is like forgetting how to breathe.
you could say that you’re taking the misery right on the chin, pushing through it like the grown woman you’ve claimed to be, at least proficient enough to hid from everyone else not involved. tzuyu notices this, she notices everything, and she makes it her mission to know about everything.
which is why you’re not surprised when she randomly bursts into your room on a saturday night, phone still buzzing from when she tried to call you.
“get up!” tzuyu snaps, marching over to yank your covers off; you’re curling over the pillow. “come on, get up! you’ve been ignoring my calls for, like, a week and i’m sick and tired of your wallowing.”
voice muffled into the sheets. “‘m not wallowing.”
“yes, you are,” she says and throws open your blinds, exposing the stained brickwall on the other side. “irene told me you didn’t go to class with her this week, which i know means that you were holed up in here crying or something. which, i might add, you never informed me of, so not only are you sad but you’re keeping secrets from me. bad friend behavior, y/n.”
“it’s not bad friend behavior. i just didn’t feel like talking about it.”
“well if you’re not gonna talk about it, you’re gonna do something else.” you hear your closet doors open and perch your head up to see tzuyu rifling through your clothes. after a moment, she makes some pleased sound and toesses a white dress onto your boed, one that sana had bought you a few weeks ago. the memory is blanched just by looking.
“we’re going out tonight,” tzuyu announces. “i have shuhua waiting in the car and i made plans to meet up with irene and a few friends of mine at a club in manhattan. i’m not leaving till you get dressed.”
“i’m not going.”
“yes, you are.”
“no.”
“you are.”
“tzuyu,” you say, with a note of pleading. “i really don’t want to go.”
“and i don’t care! you’re going.”
“no,” you repeat firmly, drawing your knees up to cocoon yourself. “i don’t want to go. i don’t want to drink or go to manhattan—”
“does sana live in manhattan?
“i don’t want to talk about sana.”
“well, it seems like you don’t wanna do fucking anything!” tzuyu throws her hands up, lovely face twisted up with exasperation. she nudges the dress closer. “and like i said, i really don’t care. if you’re not gonna talk about your feelings then do something equally as unproductive and distract yourself from them instead of crying. you’re being ridiculous.”
“no, you are,” you retort acidically, and it seems as though your outrage needed an outlet, because you can’t stop yourself from spitting the vitriol that spills forth. “and you know what? you are ridiculous. in general, you are fucking ridiculous. you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth and you act like it. me signing up for that stupid app was your idea. me meeting sana was because of you. and sana—” calling me her gift, reducing me to something that’s owned, tainting the concept of belonging— “i-it’s your fault. everything is your fault. it’s your fucking fault!”
tzuyu’s face is unchanged, perfect and placid as it always is. finally, while you heave, restraining another fit of tears, tzuyu exhales deeply and tilts her head, expression softening. “are you good now?”
“no,” you mumble. “i’m angry.”
“good.” tzuyu sits down on the edge of your bed and tugs you close, resting your head on her shoulder. “be angry with me. just don’t hole yourself up in your room alone. you’ve done enough of that.”
you sag into tzuyu. “i’m sorry for yelling at you. what happened isn’t your fault.”
“it kind of is.”
“no, it isn't. maybe giving the idea was, but everything i did was because it was a choice i mad. even being hurt now is my fault. i always knew what i was to her.”
“so? it’s kind of difficult to have sex with anything for three months and not get attached to it. i get weepy when i have to throw away my vibrators.”
you snort, pushing tzuyu away. met with a smile of hers with your own, “are you ready to go out now or do i actually have to respect your wishes this time.”
debating, eyes flicking to the dress by your foot. you know how it looks on you, how the fabric shimmers under a certain light and the fit clings to your body. you know it’s effect on sana, even, how her eyes darkend when she first saw it on you, how she raced to get it off. the faded memory stings as the thought of sana always does now, like a sharpened blade, but tzuyu is right. it isn’t healthy to sustain this level of feeling for days on end. maybe it needs a change of pace.
“fine,” you say, looking at tzuyu. “help me get ready.”
tzuyu squeals before grabbing your face to let her kiss your cheek.
you and tzuyu greet shuhua by the car just half an hour later, who rolls down the window to wolf-whistle you as they approach. tzuyu opens her coat and grabs you by the hand to spin you around.
“you look hot!” shuhua says. “i’ll be surprised if you don’t go home with somebody tonight.”
cheeks flushing after the compliment. “oh, uh, i’m not really—”
“honey, don’t scandalize y/n so early in the evening,” tzuyu says, popping a kiss to her mouth as she gets in the car. “you know y/n doesn’t talk about ex–say in polite company.”
“since when am i polite company?”
“hi, shua,” you mumble, sliding into the backseat.
“hey, babe. are you excited?” shuhua turs around. both her and tzuyu stare at you expectantly from the front seats, making you feel strangely like a child on their first day of school.
“...yes…”
tzuyu sends shuhua a firm look. “start the car.”
it’s saturday night, the drive from queens to manhattan takes about forty minutes. you’re spending the majority of the ride staring out the window, willing yourself not to think of the familiar surroundings, of the shops along the street that have developed new meaning. luckily, before you can get lost in your budding melancholy, shuhua parks the car along the side of the street and unlocks the door. with a sigh, you step out.
there’s a long line leading into the club that tzuyu bypasses with ease, simply flashing her ID at the bouncer before he allows you three inside. the club is ritzy but stereotypical. brith, multicolored flashing lights threaten to blind you and the pumping music that makes your ears ring. hand in hand, tzuyu directs through the throng of gyrating bodies to a VIP lounge near the back, where you can see a round table filled with people.
irene notices you first, and she jumps out of her seat to rush toward you, bee-lining for you specifically, enveloping a hug that you gratefully sink into.
“you look so pretty!” irene yells when she steps back. “i was worried you wouldn’t come!”
“i did!”
“thank god! come say hi to everybody!”
following her to the table. irene slides back into the booth to nestle beneath the arm of a handsome black-haired man that you recognize immediately, much to your delight. “seulgi!”
she cracks a smile. “sup.”
“i didn’t know you’d be here.” or really, that their relationship had progressed so well. perhaps you might have if you kept in touch more proactively, which suddenly makes you feel like a very shitty friend.
“how are you?” you ask, sitting down next to the pair.
“i’m good. you?”
“i’m…well.”
“uh-oh.” seulgi pushes a drink towards you. “be grateful i can’t cut you off tonight then.”
not thinking of a reply, uncomfortable at having been perceived so clearly, you raise the straw to your lips.
“hey tzuyu! we’re here!”
the three of you look over to see three people ambling towards you, a shorter woman in front, two slightly taller behind her. up close, you can see that she has dark, long hair. she’s wearing a black leather jacket with a handbag to her side. when she catches your eye, she smiles.
tzuyu leaps up from her seat to hug the woman, extricating herself quickly to hug the other two women tagging behind. her voice is a squeal when she screams, “dahyun!”
gesturing to them to sit down next to her, and as they all scoot into the booth, dahyun’s attention flickers towards you, down to your dress.
“y/n! y/n, this is my friend dahyun! she has a brother that works on the same racing team as him!”
“hey.” dahyun says, leaning forward, extending her hand, and you shake it. when you pull away, she wraps her arm around the brunette beside her.
“this is minju,” dahyun says, and points to the blonde at the end of the booth. “and that’s somi.”
“it’s nice to meet you all,” you say.
“it’s great to meet you. you’re y/n, right?”
“yeah.”
“cool!” dahyun’s mouth curls, more a smirk than a smile. “tzuyu has told me all about you.”
“has she?”
“yep. she thinks you’ve hung the fucking moon or something. is it true you volunteered at a women’s shelter for fun?”
you blush at the question. “i wouldn’t say for fun. i just…got along with the kids there really well.”
“a saint is what you are, according to tzuyu.”
“oh, i wouldn’t—”
dahyun surprises you when she stands up and slides over chaeyoung and somi to sit next to you, smelling the rich perfume she put on. your fingers bunch up the dress when she throws her arm over the back of your seat.
“so,” dahyuns starts again, sinking into the vinyl seat, too comfortable. “what else do you do aside from rescuing cats from trees?”
“i’m not a firefighter. never done anything like that.”
“it was a joke, lovely.” your flush depends, and dahyun adds, “but i’m serious. what do you do?”
“i’m a waitress currently, but i’m working towards my bachelors in child’s psychology. masters after, but i’m sure you knew that already.”
“yep.”
“and you?” you ask, taking a sip of your drink, beer bottle sweating around your fingers. “tzuyu mentioned you work with your mom?”
“yeah, just a normal front-desk job. pretty nice until all of the calls get backed up.”
“yikes. sorry to hear that.”
dahyun’s mouth quirks, and you swallow a squeak when she reaches over to ruffle your hair, startled by her familiarity. she keeps her hand there.
“you’re sweet, you know that?”
your face is burning red hot, stomach churning. you can’t think of anything to say but get off. “um—”
“but fuck the job conversation,” dahyun says, leaning closer to you, eyes flashing with mischief. “you wanna get fucked up?”
to your better judgement—along with the credit, this is something that you don’t really do on a weekend basis—getting fucked up.
it takes a few beers and sojus to get loose enough to smile freely. you’ve lost the count from five shots onwards to keep you laughing, swimmy. dahyun leads you to the bar to take more shots together—your idea—that’s immediately chased down with lime juice, shoved into your mouth by dahyun’s fingers. the burst of citrus in your mouth.
there’s no food to sober up with, so you decide to get that stored energy on the dance floor, sweating profusely. you switch between the different groups—first spinning around in a mid circle with shuhua and tzuyu, then joining irene and seulgi as they move together. you’re being dragged in between, irene laughing against your neck, head being thrown back into seulgi’s shoulder, the light’s over-bright above you, a shimmering multicolor. you’re laughing, and laughing, and laughing, even when a flash of green against the ceiling makes you want to cry.
it’s so easy to stop thinking.
which is exactly the case when dahyun finds her way onto the dance floor, swaggering. selugi spins you towards her embrace and she catches you, hands securing the waist, fingers sliding down to your hips. her voice rumbles from her chest and into your ears when she speaks, mouth skimming the curve orf it. “you know, tzuyu really wanted me to meet you.”
you wrap your arms around her neck. “she did?”
“yeah, she did. said you needed to meet someone new.”
“oh. i didn’t know.” dahyun leads you into a dance, slipping their knee between your legs. something cold curdles up in the pit of your stomach, but the warmth of the alcohol makes it easy to ignore. have fun, you remind yourself.
“yeah, thank god she did,” dahyun says.
the music, booming club/house hit, robs most of your hearing, but when you sway your hips and she follows the motion of it, moving with you, you can hear the dark rumble of her groan, can feel it when dahyun says, “fuck, you’re so hot. you wanna get out of here?”
that cold pit in the base of your stomach explodes, icy panic flooding your insides. dahyun’s eyes widen with shock as you push her away from you, and when she tries to tug you close again, you bat her away, snapping, “no.”
you stumble to the end of the club, shoving on your coat as you rush out into the cold weather. you tremble more from the alarm than the chill when you pull out your phone and scroll through the contact list.
sana answers before the end of the first ring. “y/n?”
“i’m coming to your house,” you announce, waving widely as you try to flag down a taxi.
“is something wrong? your voice sounds weird. do you want me to pick you up?”
“i’m coming,” you repeat. “to your house. so tell your doorman to let me in.”
“baby, are you sure you don’t want me to pick you up?”
the pet name stings. as does your persistent loyalty to her. wouldn’t have been so freeing to make her hurt? “no.”
“y/n—”
“i’ll see you now.”
you hang up just as a taxi stops beside you. opening the door and climbing into the car, slurring out sana’s address. given that her apartment complex is close, the drive takes under fifteen minutes. you had to swipe your card at least three separate times for the payment to go through. you nearly trip when stepping out, knees shaking and coltish, but right yourself quickly to march into the building. the red-headed doorman gives you a sour look that you meet with a scowl. thankfully, though, he lets you in without a word.
the journey to sana’s apartment is a blur. recognizing the soft elevator music and the ding as it opens. your heels click against the marble floors when you stumble down the hall, hands aligning against the wall to keep your balance. when you find sana’s door, you knock on it hard, speaking into the peephole. “it’s y/n. let me in!”
door swung open instantly; sana must’ve been waiting for you. heart throbbing when you see her, brown hair around her shoulder, barefoot and not-entirely relaxed, but she herds you in before you can get emotional, following you to the living room.
“are you okay?” sana asks.
“no.” you throw your purse down and wrestle to get your coat off. sana steps forward to help you but you shake your head, scoffing at her injured look.
“you’re drunk,” sana observes with disapproval., “why are you drunk?”
“i went out with tzuyu.”
“are you okay?” sana asks again.
“no. i’m drunk.”
sana’s expression shifts, wavering between panic and concern. you wonder what she has to be worried about, if she carries the past week with her the way that you did. but of course not, you think bitterly. why would she care at all?
“do you need water?”
you don’t reply, still struggling to take your coat off, suddenly overheated. sana watches you, making a frustrated sound deep in her throat. she runs her hand through her hair. “i don’t know what you wnat me to do then, baby.”
“i want you to stop calling me baby.”
“what?”
you whirl around. “i want you to stop with the pet names. i want you to stop with the gifts. i want you to stop sending me money. i-i want you to stop—talking to me like you care about me. it’s cruel, sana.”
“y/n, what are you talking about? of course i fucking care about you.” sana’s eyes widening. “did you take any drugs?”
“no!” you yell. “and no, i didn’t take any drugs!”
“then what the fuck is your problem?”
“my problem,” you spit, narrowing your eyes, speaking through your teeth. “is that i don’t want to be your damn sugar baby anymore!”
“what?!”
“yeah! your sugar baby, sana. does it make you feel bad when i say it? because it makes me fel fucking worse.” your voice cracking, shaking your head. “and i take it anymore.”
sana grasps the side of her hair. “take what? take what anymore? what the fuck are you talking about?”
“this!” you gesture between you and sana. “i can’t— i can’t keep pretending that i’m okay with this. that you can go to my house, fuck me, and then venmo me some money after like it’s okay. like i’m your—at first i thought it would be fine. it hurt me, made me feel sick, but i thought….i guess i thought that things would change but they haven’t. they haven’t and it really fucking hurts.”
“y/n, sweetheart, my love—” you flinch—”i’m really gonna need you to start making sense before i lose my fucking mind.”
“what doesn’t make any sense to you? my feelings? did you really expect that you could get to fuck me fore three months and i wound’t feel anything? am i that much of a fucking doll to you?”
“wha—?”
“you know, tonight i met this girl that was really into me,” you say, and giddily watch sana freeze. “tzuyu introduced me to her. she thought we’d be good together. she wanted me.”
sana’s face goes flat, hands stalling in the air between them. your pulse skips at the sudden coldness that grips her, the way her eyes darken, like the brief seconds of peace that precede the explosion of a volcano.
“what?” she asks quietly. “what did you say?”
“but i didn’t want her!” you cry. a jolt of panic runs through you, as fierce as your heartbreak. “i didn’t! she said she wanted to sleep with me and i said no! because of you, sana! because i like you! i really, really, really like you and i have feelings for you, and—”
“are you saying you could have cheated on me!” sana yells. “did you just admit to my fucking face expect me to thank you?!”
“cheat on what? you’re not my girlfriend, you’re my sugar mommy! thats’ what this whole argument is about!”
“i’m not your damn sugar mommy! i told you from day-fucking-one that i hated that shit! i think it’s disgusting! i told you that! if it were up to me, park jihyo would be dead in the fucking ground!”
“oh.” stumbling back. the shock crashing over in waves, realization threatening to wash over you. “i–oh, fuck. god.”
because sana was right. she did tell you that, just twenty minutes into the first meeting. her giving money to you after the first date misled you, given the impression that this was something sordid, but sana never acted that way. not once. she only ever treated you like…
you cradle your face when sana paces in front of you, muscles tense with rage. her fists shake by her sides, knuckles white, and you have the sudden urge to throw yourself down at her feet and kiss them, to beg for her forgiveness.
“i’m sorry. sana, i’m so sorry.” you gaps. “i didn’t—i misinterpreted everything, and i—”
sana stops in place to look at you, blazing eyes rooting you to the ground. your breath twists in your lungs as the words melt on your tongue, leaving you with nothing. because you have nothing. there’s nothing to say.
and sana takes you in, the trembling and tears, you being desperate for forgiveness. she runs a hand over your face, sighing heavily. “you’re way too drunk to be having this conversation.”
“i’m not.” you’re not lying. if you were a tad bit less sober, the doubt would be hurting just as much.
“yes, you are.”
“sana, i won’t be able to sleep unless we talk this through.”
“i don’t give a shit. you’re going to bed.”
you whimper as she marches past you, stumbling after her to follow. she stops when you reach the bedroom and open the door for you to head inside. you do, slowly, like you expect to face some form of punishment or further scolding, but sana only walks to her drawers and fishes for a t-shirt, holding it out to you.
as you take it, she leaves the room, giving you privacy to change. you sniffle quietly as you shove your dress down and off around your feet, and slip the shirt on. just as you bend to take off your shoe, sana comes back into the room, carrying a glass of water. she watches you struggle for a beta before sighing and placing the glass down on her nightstand. you nearly weep when you watch sana kneeled down in front of you, her hands going to your ankles. “sana, i—”
“not now,” she says, looking up at you, eyes still hard and angry, but her fingers gentle, thumb tapping your bone, “we can talk about it tomorrow.”
when sana’s done, she steps back, lining upr your heels against the wall.
“get in bed,” sana orders
“sana, i-i can sleep on the couch,” you say weakly. “i really don’t need to take your bed. i’ve had enough trouble already. ‘
“i don’t care. get in.”
“really, it’s—”
“get. in.”
her tone leaves no room for debate, and you clamber up to slip beneath the covers. you stare up at sana, hoping she’ll offer to climb in next to you, but she pushes the water towards you, instead.
“drink.”
“i’m not thirsty.”
“it’s not for your thirst. it’s so you have enough wits about you in the morning. and, also, for right now. i’m not exactly trusting your judgment.”
sana drops three ibuprofen tablet into your palm. while she watches, you dutifully swallow each one, gilt hollowing out your stomach. you open your mouth to speak, but she nudges the glass up, silently demand you drink. she doesnt’ stop until you’ve downed the whole thing. once it’s empty, sana nods with satisfaction and steps back.
“we’ll talk in the morning. for now, please go to sleep.”
“sana.”
“go to sleep,” she repeats, an edge to her voice. “if i hear anything else, i—” she stops herself. roughly shakes her head. “i can’t guarantee what i’ll do next.”
you flinch when the door slams shut behind her, throwing yourself down onto sana’s pillow. a sob builds in your throat when her scent hits you in full force, and you inhale it greedily, chest stuttering as you curly around it, clinging to it like it can morph into her skin.
and sleep is also unkind. it’s only gracious enough to give you any reprieve when the sun peeks over the horizon. you fall into it fruitfully.
you’re awoken to a soft touch, a hand gently shaking your shoulder. “y/n. y/n, get up.”
sana’s voice registers, at first distant and tinny, then overwhelming, a sharp spiek into your barin. you jolt up, nearly headbutting her as you scramble to face her. sana moves to sit on a chair she’s pulled up the side of her bed. she looks at you calmly, her hands folded over her knees, foot bouncing, because she can never be fully at ease. her body doesn’t let her.
“good morning.”
everything that you’ve been feeling the night before suddenly rises to the surface again in an overwhelming rush. you can’t even think to compose yourself. your head and heart aches too much to try.
“i’m sorry!” i cry. “i’m sorry, i’m so sorry. i didn’t— i honestly thought—i don’t know why—no, i do know why but—i didn’t think i was cheating on you. i thought you were my s-sugar mommy and i thought our relationship was transactional. it’s why i was so nervous when you met mina because i thought she’d find out. i had no idea—”
you huff, words croaking out into a sob, and sana moves her chair to the edge of her bed to cup your face. you lean into it, tears smearing against her skin.
“i’m not going to say that i’m not angry, because i am. or that i’m not confused, because i really am. but i think i’m starting to understand where the confusion is.”
“i’m sorry.”
“is it because i gave you money?” sana asks, ignoring it.
you nod. “yes.”
“even after i told you that i thought that shit was gross?”
“it wasn’t then,” you say. “i didn’t go out with you with dual inteitinons. i thought it was a date.”
“which it was.”
“i realize that now.”
“so, it was after? when i sent you—”
“a thousand dollars, sana,” you breathe—still, even now, in disbelief. “which, you have to admit, is a little ridiculous to send someone you met when they were first trying out to be someone’s sugar baby.”
“that’s why i sent it. i knew you needed it. i though you’d understand.”
“i didn’t. and even if i did, can’t you admit that’s strange? or at the very least, kind of offensive?”
“no.” sana slides her hand down, thumb tapping your chin like she did when she first kissed you. “id’ be strange if it was for anyone but you.”
a rosy flush stains your cheeks, spreading high. “i don’t know what that means.”
“i think you do.” she slips her hand away and leans back. her face hardens when she says, “no about that girl—”
“we never kissed!” you say desperately. “we never kissed. she never touched me, not really. we just danced. i only said that because i wanted to provoke you.”
“you nearly did. i swear to god, y/n. i wanted to do something about that.”
you grab sana’s hand and lift it between you two. “i’m sorry. i was being spiteful.”
“it’s fine. i’m not angry with you.”
“you’re not?”
“no. but if kim dahyun—”
“how do you know her name?”
“she texted you. i blocked her number—ever ends up horribly injdured and is brought to me as a patient, i’m passing the cart to the next surgeon.”
“you’re not funny.”
“who said i was joking?”
“sana.”
before you can scold her, sana wraps an arm around you and secrues you to her, heart pouding a slow righym against your ear. you feel her chin drop onto your crown, her hand sliding up your back.
“i love you, y/n,” sana says. her hold tightens when you freeze, but she continues, undeterred. “i love you and it only took me about a week to realize it.”
tears crowd your eyes in earnest. sana’s name comes out as a gasp, but she pulls you back to cup your face, thumbs stroking your cheeks. “i love you. this has never been transactional for me. not once.”
“i—”
“you got something to say to that?”
“sana.” she stops to watch you, eyes going soft as you start to weep. she presses her lips to your forehead, then shifts so that your face falls into her neck. you cling to sana, mouth moving against the skin of her. “...’ove you.”
“what?”
“i said i love you.”
“i know. i just wanted to hear you say it again.”
sana laughs when you pinch her side, and you two settle into a comfortable silence s you sid and hold each other, sinking into bliss. that is until sana says, “does this mean you’re cool with getting married?  you know, eventually?”
“what?”
“i told you i wanted to marry you and you said you loved me. that wasn’t a no.”
“you didnt propose.”
“i thought i was implied.”
“an implication is not a proposal, sana. that’s been our whole issue.” you say as sana frowns. “and i don’t wanna think about getting married until sometime later.”
“so what do you want to do in the meantime, wander around like two hopeless romantics that we are?”
“well—” you rise up to your knees, words purposefully slow as you push sana to the bed and climb over her. her hands find your waist, sliding up. you kiss the grin from her lips.
“just stay close to me. that’s all i ask.”

something about tall futch sana wearing a bunch of outerwear like a big teddy bear like i wanna hug her sooo bad and this is just a short snippet of it
it was definitely a bad idea going out. you could blame no one but the weather, blasting and freezing your face as you wait for your lover to meet you outside of her workplace.
"darling," she says, wrapping you around her sweet embrace, kissing your cheek. "you must've been cold out here, hm?" she chuckles. "sorry if i made you wait for long, my boss has been quite chirpy." she sighs.
she then removes her puffer jacket, and wraps it around your shoulder, "there," she chuckles. "be warm."
"sana, darling, no," you refused, removing the jacket from your shoulders, but she was firm and put it back on you, even helping you slip it on to the cuffs. it consumed you, her perfume prominent on the cloth, and it was warm. "ohh," you chuckled as she zips it up. "aren't you cold, darling?" you asked, worried that she might be cold.
she laughs as she held your hand as you two walked. "don't worry, i have all the warmth i could get," she says and kisses your hand. "keep the jacket, it looks good on you, darling."
js made myself cry over this i need sana so bad

A Change in Sana
Fluff, Story Building, Light Smut (breast play and hand job)
Tumblr media
Chapter 223
1770 Words
(Little by little, Sana’s health improved. With the support of those around her, especially the children, she is regaining her energy back. She’s even willing to ask favors that she never knew she could.)
It’s been more than a week since the members went on tour to the United States. Sana and the girls have kept in constant touch to ensure she isn’t left behind. They spend a few minutes in the morning and about an hour at the end of the day. You could see how much she would have liked to join them, but she knows that her health is the most important thing right now.
Luckily, she’s been preoccupied with playing with the kids, especially Da-eun. She’s been attached to Sana as of late, raising her arms whenever she wants to suckle on Sana’s breasts. Sana has been more than willing to allow Da-eun to entertain herself and feels a sense of comfort and warmth whenever she does it.
This has also caused her to ask you for a favor by asking you to massage her breasts when the two of you shower together. At first, you were hesitant since you didn’t want to make it sexual, but after her asking you multiple times, she ended up convincing you.
You walk into your shower, turn on the warm water, and let it run for a bit as you undress yourself. Once it’s at a good temperature, you slide the door open and enter, enjoying the warm water on your head. As you try to clear your head, you hear the door shower door slide open, and a small cool breeze touches your skin. “I’m coming in.” You feel Sana’s soft skin graze yours, making her way into the shower. She slightly bumps into your arms as she embraces you, “Thank you, oppa, for being there for me.” You don’t say anything, and instead, you hug her.
The two of you share a beautiful moment together before you help scrub each other’s backs. It’s your turn to wash her, and she moves your hands toward her chest and says, “Can you massage my breasts?”
“Say again, I don’t think I heard you that well.”
“If you could massage my breast. Jihyo’s mom said that it helps with breast development.”
“Okay, are you sure?”
“Yeah, here, I'll even help you,” as she moves your hands towards her breasts. You cup her small mounds and slowly begin to massage them. She slowly begins to moan, enjoying the feeling of her breasts being played with. She notices your member behind her getting hard and touching her bottom. Sana grabs your cock and slides it between her thigh gap, feeling the throbbing of your member against her lower lips. “Oppa, just like that. It feels good.” Enjoy your massage. She could feel a hot feeling in her tummy that she hadn’t felt in a long time, but she tried to suppress it by turning around.
“Now, it's my turn.”
Sana, now facing you, grabs your cock and gives it a few pumps. “I’m sorry I can’t give you more than this, but I’m still not ready.” She places her head on your chest and continues to jerk you off in a slow and easy manner, working magic with her hands. You’re close to cumming and warn her, “Sana, I’m about to cum.” She grabs your cock harder and looks into your eyes as you cum in her hand.
After your shower, you both get dressed and help her blow dry her hair. She gets into bed with an oversized shirt and shorts and turns on the television. She puts on a movie and invites you to join her, “Come on, Oppa, join me.”
“Okay, let me get something to drink.”
You head to the kitchen and grab a pair of water bottles before returning. When you enter the door, Sana signals you, “Hurry, hurry,” patting the bed. You hop into the bed and rest your back against the headboard. Sana rests her head against your body and enjoys the movie. You pat her head as you watch the movie, trying to comfort her as much as possible. When the movie is over, she says, “I’m sleepy. Can you turn the TV off?” Without a word, you turn off the television and place your head on your pillow.
“Oppa, can I tell you something?”
“Sure, what’s up?”
“You know how Da-eun’s be suckling on my breasts?”
“You’ve mentioned it before and how Jihyo’s mom recommended it.”
“Well… I was talking to her and Chaeyoung’s mom, and they mentioned that you could help.”
“I don’t get you.”
“You know…” giving you a slight smile.
“You mean…” looking down at her chest.
“Please… I just like the feeling, and it makes me feel safe.”
You’re hesitant once more and debate if doing it is right considering the situation, but the look on her face makes you cave in and say yes. Happy with your response, Sana kisses your cheek, takes off the oversized shirt, and tosses it at the end of the bed. You throw the covers and lower yourself to her chest area.
Sana guides your face towards her chest and glides her fingers through your hair. You attach your mouth to one of her breasts and begin to suckle. She holds you tightly as she hums you to sleep.
With you deep asleep with your mouth attached to her tit Sana received a text from one of the members, “Sana! Good morning. It’s morning here but night over there. Are you free to video chat?”
After responding that she’s free, she gets a call request and answers, “Hey, how are you guys?” Momo responds, “What are you doing?”
“About to go to sleep, you?”
“Just about to have breakfast.”
“Oh, what are you girls having?”
“I don’t know yet, but we are ordering. The members are meeting here in a bit. How are you doing?”
“I’m okay. Every day is different. I’ve been watching over the girls and helping oppa with some work, mostly staying at the house.”
“Nice, taking it easy is good. Where is he, by the way?”
Sana smiles and lifts the covers, revealing your face to Momo, “Oh my god. Girls come to see this!” The screen is then overtaken by most of the members, who laugh at the sight of you attached to Sana’s breast. The sound of screenshots is heard behind the laughter as the members try to save this moment and tease you with it for the future.
“How does it feel, having him suck on your tits?” asks Chaeyoung.
“It feels nice; I like it.”
“What else have you two done?” is heard from the back.
“Nothing, just this. I’m not really feeling it, like doing it right now.”
Jihyo responds, “Don’t worry about it. Take everything at your own pace. There is no rush to do things you’re not comfortable with.”
“Thank you, Jihyo. That really means a lot. I don’t think I’m ready to have sex or try for a baby, not for a bit. Maybe when my body gets before and when I’m okay, knowing that he’s gone.”
She then hears Tzuyu say, “Don’t worry unnie, you have the kids at home too!”
“Thank you, Tzuyu. They have definitely helped; they’ve kept my mind occupied.”
Changing the conservation, she asks, “How’s the tour so far?”
Tzuyu yells, “It’s fun! Met a lot of Once!”
“Yeah, they really miss you,” says Dahyun.
“I’ve heard them chant your name,” mentions Mina.
“Aww, that’s sweet. I wished I could have gone.”
“You’ll have a chance. Just focus on recovering,” says Nayeon.
“I will. Oppa said that he’s going to take me out, maybe even visit the construction for the house.”
“That sounds cool. I wonder how much they’ve built so far. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done,” says Mina.
“He said it's going great and is ahead of schedule. He’s been making phone calls and video chats to the people in charge of the project. I’m really excited to go.”
“That sounds great, Sana. Since it’s late over there, we’ll let you go, but we’ll call you tomorrow,” says Jihyo.
“Okay! Good night, everyone.”
“Good night, Sana.”
—————
Two days later, after going back and forth with the construction manager, you decide to visit the site. “Sana, are you okay with going today?”
“Yes, let me get my things ready.” She rushes to change into some comfortable clothes and puts a cap on. The drive there was about an hour away, but it was fun, with Sana playing her music. You arrive at the location and see the workers having lunch. Let Sana know to wear her face mask to prevent people from recognizing her. She does, and you both exit the vehicle to greet the project manager.
He gives you a tour of the property; the foundation is done, and the structure is being completed. You can see the house in your mind and are happy with the results. Sana looks around and tries to figure out the layout of the massive house, so you try to explain it to her.
“Look here; this is the kitchen and one of the many living rooms.”
“Wow, they are so big. I didn’t know we needed more than one living room.”
“Well, based on how big the family is getting, we might need more than one. Plus, this is the main kitchen, the secondary kitchen, and the storage room.”
You try to explain the layout of each of their bedrooms and are surprised by how big it is going to be, especially when they each will have their own walk-in closet. “Thank you, thank you. I’ve always wanted my own walk-in closet,” giving you a hug.
The both of you spend thirty minutes taking a tour of the house and going over the layout. Once you are finished, she goes out for a walk around the property while you talk to the project manager. She falls in love with the property because of the open space and trees throughout the area.
You walk to find Sana lying down on the grass by the large tree where you had Jihyo had sex before. “I think this might be my favorite spot. You can see everything from here,” as she points at the beautiful view.”
“Beautiful, the view, too,” you say as you kiss her hand and enjoy the view together, holding hands.

The slight panic Sana felt when you shifted your body on top of hers… Her sleepy eyes were suddenly wide and alert as she thought about you leaving her embrace.
It was a frightening possibility. It had barely been an hour since you’d sneaked into her arms in search of some comfort after a long day, but it was getting late. If you wanted to get to bed, she’d understand although she wouldn’t be all for it.
Your presence, the warmth and love you gave her were things she missed all day. She hated when your free days didn’t line up, leaving her alone with only thoughts and cravings with your name on them. The hours between your lips on her forehead in the morning and your soft, gentle kisses on her cheek in the evening seemed to stretch into infinity.
Tomorrow was her turn to leave you behind for the day. She liked to think your clinginess tonight was motivated by that thought. She hoped the small strokes of your palm, the delicate touches of your fingertips against her skin was a way for you to appreciate the few hours you had left in her company.
Her eyes kept looking up at the time displayed right underneath the TV, and she had to hold herself back from laughing at her own behavior. How much more obsessed could she be… You were in her arms, as close as you could be, yet she was already missing you.
Her gaze slipped away from the screen to find you every once in a while. The sight of your head resting on her stomach put a smile on her lips. She couldn’t see why nor how it could be as comfortable as you claimed, but she’d never complain. Easy access to your hair, random kisses, your soft breathing against her skin whenever her clothing allowed it… why would she complain?
A small hum resonated from your chest as her fingers gently pulled on a few strands of your hair, brushing them out of your eyes. The gesture alone could put you to sleep if she did it long enough. That was exactly what you wanted to avoid, but it didn’t mean you wanted her to stop.
So you focused on the TV, suddenly remembering about its existence.
The variety show you’dsettled on out of laziness to switch channels turned out to be more perfect than anything you could have willingly picked. Entertaining enough to share a few laughs, each other’s favorite sounds, but not interesting enough to make you forget about this moment you wanted to cherish.
Sana’s occasional giggles caused your head to bounce a few times, and as much as you loved to see her happy, came a time where your comfort just wasn’t negligible.
You lifted yourself off of her, unknowing and oblivious to her dismay as you went to find rest against her chest.
Relief washed over her when she realised you weren’t going anywhere. She bit her smile back at the familiar feeling of your hair tickling her neck, and her arms wrapped themselves around your back. A sudden surge of love pushed her to squeeze you closer, and your view on the screen was now blocked as her cheek was squished against your forehead.
“I love you.” She mumbled, her voice just above a whisper. You smiled at the words. You couldn’t get over them, no matter how much she said them. Whichever way she let them out, whenever she let you know, they seemed to have the same effect on you.
Warmth, from your chest to your veins. One that put your heart at ease. Your mind at peace.
“I love you too.” You sighed out, content and hopeful of the words making her feel the same way.
Sana smiled at the serenity you’d granted her, and pressed her lips on top of your head in a soft peck before training her eyes back on the TV.
Hopefully the night hours will take their time, stretch out as much as the day’s had.

Tumblr media

Sana x f!reader
Words 1.1k
Fluff, a little smut?
(A/N: this could be a second part to A Thing, if you wanna check that one out)
“It’s so unfair!” Sana whined at her phone screen when she saw you pouting.
Even if you were in different time zones, she still managed to find the time to facetime you or at least call you to hear your voice.
Only a few days after you officially got together, the group had to leave for their US tour for a couple of weeks which meant Sana couldn’t be all over you like she had been for the last few days.
“I wanna kiss that pout away, baby,” she continued, looking at you with stars in her eyes. “I’m going to do everything in my power to bring you with us the next tours we have, it’s extremely necessary for us to have one of the choreographers on the road and it’s vital for me to have you by my side every night!”
You chuckled at her remark, “I would love to spend every night with you, love”.
Sana whined one more time, crossing her arms and pouting at your words. “I want you here,” she whispered, her heart feeling heavy due to the overwhelming feelings she had for you.
You sent her a flying kiss which she lovingly took and placed against her lips.
“Sana-ssi, we’re leaving in five minutes!” a voice from outside of her hotel room shouted, gaining her attention for a second before focusing it back on you.
“I gotta go,” she said with sadness in her voice. “Are you going to miss me?” a playful smile adorned her lips.
“Every minute, baby”.
“I’m going to call you before I go to bed, is that okay?” she asked, making sure she wasn’t being too clingy or interrupting any plans you might have.
“If you don’t call me I’m going to think you don’t love me anymore,” you warned, getting a blissful smile from her.
“I love you so much, Y/N,” she whispered, looking intently at your eyes through the screen before hanging up and leaving for the appointments scheduled for the day.
--
“Hey baby,” you said into the phone as night had arrived for Sana and she was about to sleep. “No video this time?” you asked.
The previous days, she couldn’t help but facetime you in order to see you before going to bed.
“Too tired to even hold the phone, love,” she answered, sounding exhausted. You heard the sheets ruffling on the other side as a sign that she was already on her bed and probably about to fall asleep.
“Your voice sounds like you need me there to cuddle you until you drift off,” you suggested, knowing she loved it when you told her what she wanted to hear.
“I do,” she answered in a low whine, “I swear I would have the best sleep of my life with you here in this giant bed”.
“A few more days, pretty girl,” you assured, “when you get here I promise I’m not going to let you go anywhere. I’ll show you how much I’m missing you these days, I miss your lips, your neck, your fingers interlocked in my hair,” your voice turned low as you felt yourself getting carried away.
“Mhm, babe…”
“I think these days have only proved how bad I needed you in my life. Since I met you, love, you’re all I can think about, your smile, your voice, the way you make me feel…”
A long sigh was heard on the other side of the line.
“I’m not lying when I say that you’ve brightened my life, whenever we're together, time seems to stand still, and it's just you and me, lost in our own little world”.
“Y/N…” Sana said in a low whisper.
“The more I get to know you, the more I realize how special you are. Your kindness, your intelligence, your incredible sense of humor—it all just draws me closer to you.”
Sana let out a tiny whimper.
“And now,” you said, overwhelmed by the immense love you feel for Sana, “I feel like I'm falling in love with you, deeply and completely. It's something I've never experienced before, and it scares me a little, but I'm also thrilled that it’s happening with you, with the most amazing girl I’ve ever met…”
You paused for a couple of seconds waiting for an answer from the other side of the line, yet were only met with the ruffling of the sheets and deep sighs.
“Sana, are you still awake?” you asked, a smile on your face thinking about how tired your girlfriend must be and how you took the chance to pour your heart out.
“Y/N…” she replied almost out of breath, her voice filled with a sultry tone and lower than it usually was, “please… keep talking…”
You furrowed your eyebrows. “Sana? Are you okay?”
“Y-Y/N…” Sana whimpered, letting out a tiny cry.
A sound that made you understand what was happening on the other side of the line as your face turned completely red. Good thing Sana couldn’t see you or else she would never stop teasing you about it. But at the same time, it was a pity you couldn’t see your girlfriend touching herself to the mere sound of your voice.
“Sana…” you said one more time, this time putting an effort to sound exactly like Sana liked, “there’s nothing I need more right now than my lips traveling your body…”
She left out a low moan.
“My hands caressing your skin as I make my way to where I can worship you the most…”
Sana’s whimpers became more audible.
“I bet you’re really wet right now,” you whispered, gaining a cry from her. “It would be so easy for me to slip a finger in but we know it isn’t enough, right, love?”
“F-fuck, Y/N…”
“I want you to use two fingers as if they were mine,” you continued, “in and out, slowly, to the sound of my voice”.
Sana’s moans were getting higher as she followed your instructions.
“You sound lovely, baby,” you praised, “making those pretty noises for me”.
You knew she was out of breath by the way she was reacting.
“You would sound even lovelier coming for me, pretty thing”.
With a high pitched cry, you heard the sheets ruffling one more time as you imagined she was gripping them riding her orgasm out.
“Y/N, that was…” she started talking for the first time in several minutes.
“Shh,” you replied, smiling widely, “you must be exhausted by now, baby”.
“I am,” she confessed. “I just wanted to say that all of the things you told me were so beautiful and it made me feel so loved”.
“I love you,” you assured her one more time.
“I love you more, Y/N. More than anything in this life and I can’t wait any longer to be back with you,” she whispered as her eyes slowly closed.
She fell asleep to the sound of your voice telling her how lucky you were for having her in your life.

Tumblr media
The moment the car stopped, a door was being shoved open. You didn’t have to check the rearview mirror to know that your son had sprinted out. Shaking your head, you shifted the gear to park before turning your gaze at your girlfriend.
Minatozaki Sana was a confident woman. Or at least that is what you’ve gathered over the last year. She was never one to hide how she felt; it was she who had made the first move. So to see her eyes glazed over, trained on the raindrops collecting at the edge of the windshield was concerning, to say the least.
“Hey,” was all you uttered, even quiet to your own ears. But Sana was attuned to your voice so she straightened before she turned to meet your gaze.
In the many years that make up a life, a year may be inconsequential. Between those three hundred and sixty-five days many things can happen. You can meet new people, spend time with them and get to really know their likes and dislikes, understand what truly makes and motivates them. During this time, you could gain lifelong friends, whom you instantly sync with only to lose them by the end of the year. Twelve months is enough time to drive you away from your family, to uproot your life and start anew, or perhaps return home to loving arms where everything remains unchanged. A year is a million moments of frustration and tears and happiness, a combination of beginning and endings, and gain and loss. But many years later, those instances would be fleeting at best.
A whole year; a passing moment.
Perhaps that’s why you were pleasantly surprised with how well things were with Sana. Having known each other for almost two years, from kind greetings building up to genuine conversations. The slow build of your relationship, from when you first asked her about her bad day to when she finally asked you out for a coffee date. There was not a moment you regretted, and to think that this was all the result of your son, the last shove the pair of you needed.
Now Sana has moved in, you wake up to her running around your home alongside your son. She’d gone from his babysitter to someone who takes an active role in his life, someone who shapes him to be better. Someone he can learn from, grow with, and rely on, especially when you weren’t there for him.
Simply put, you couldn't be more sure of your decision to be with her. Now, there were only a few more steps.
Without saying a word, you reached for her hand, her fingers interlocking with yours instinctively. “I’m not worried, I just need a moment,” Sana said, the frozen glaze slowly dissipating from her eyes.
Exhaling, you reached out to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear. Silky soft to the touch, even with her constant dyeing. How she managed to maintain the texture remained a mystery. From her natural brown to blinding orange to auburn to back to her brown, you’ve seen Sana’s hair shift faster than the seasons. Though in the dark of the night, your car was only illuminated by the lamppost a meter away, her hair seemed so depthless it was inky black.
Sana leaned into your touch, her eyes fluttering shut as you held her. Just as you were about to assure her, a loud thump on the glass startled you both apart.
“Aren’t you coming?” Your son asked loudly, though it sounded muffled since he had the side of his face and palms pressed flat against the glass. With another slap to the glass, he moved away but not before saying. “Open the trunk, I need to show grandma my chef’s hat and cookbook.”
Sana had gone from clutching her heart to clutching her stomach as she doubled over with laughter. You, on the other hand, had to rest your forehead on the steering wheel to let out a long and exaggerated groan.
“He will be the—”
Your son hit the car twice, yelling. “Trunk, please!”
“Okay, okay, I’m opening it! It’s opening,” you stumbled to find the button. With a huff, you took out your car keys while Sana was still giggling as she got out to help with the suitcase.
Your son had catapulted himself into your father’s arms as you headed up the porch, luggage in hand. Sana followed behind you, not necessarily hiding, but slightly obscuring herself from your parents. Smiling, you extended your free hand to take hers as you reached the door.
“Oh, look who’s home!” your father exclaimed, as he swiftly lifted your son up and placed him on his hip.
“Don’t do that! Who’s going to pay for another surgery?” you said, scowling while your mother slapped at his arm, trying to pry your son away.
“With all that hard work, it will be you, of course,” your father said, before whispering at your son who then burst into giggles after peeking at you.
“Well, if it's all the same, help me out with our bags—”
“Not happening,” your father said before walking into the house.
“Here, let me,” your mother passed right by you and attempted to take the bag Sana was shouldering. Sana tried to decline politely, but your mother wasn’t having it. Soon the bag was in her hands and she took Sana’s hand in hers. Your mother gave you a smile as she guided Sana into the house. “She’s beautiful.”
“I know, Mom,” you groaned, the smile hard to suppress.
Home felt familiar. There was a smell, something you couldn’t pinpoint exactly. Of course, there were notes you recognised. A blend of your mother’s baking and your father’s obnoxious perfumes against the smell of rain. Something you’ve experienced so many times before and have long yearned to return to. As for furniture, nothing seemed to have changed. You spotted a few new frames, photos of your son now competing with numerous photos of yourself. Then one that really stopped you in your tracks.
Your mother, artistic in all of her endeavours, had a growing collage of her favourite photos on a pinboard. You don’t come home often to notice all the small edits she makes, but this one was glaringly obvious. It was a picture that was clearly printed out recently. On normal paper it seemed, it lacked the gloss. It was cut to the shape of the three people in the photo, bordered with orange craft paper and stuck on at the very edge of the board.
It was a picture of you, your son… and Sana.
One night, when Sana decided it was time for her classic bright orange to return, she asked whether you wanted to dye your hair as well.
Of course, in an instant, you answered no. Unfortunately, your son had overheard the question and practically begged you to let him dye his hair. So that night, both you and your son earned a few strands of orange hair that matched Sana.
Almost on instinct, your hand drifted to the spot behind your neck, hiding a few stray strands of fading bright orange hair. When you had sent the image to your mother, you’d laughed at it because your face was barely in it to your mother’s disappointment. In fact, you were showing your back and looking over your shoulder so the orange was peeking through. Sana wore a blinding grin that also matched your son’s, who was pointing at the streak of orange in his fringe. But here it was, printed and cut out and pasted.
The sight invoked a feeling you couldn’t place.
Someone stepped to your right to observe the same picture.
And then Sana turned to look at you, her eyes glassy.
Even if it wasn’t said, you know what this means.
The words were in your mouth when your mother spoke from your left. “I hope you don’t mind me putting up that picture there,” she said with scrunched eyebrows. “I really liked it.”
Sana’s lips twitched upward as she shook her head. “I don’t mind at all.”
Tumblr media
Introductions were quite brief, having heard each other quite a bit from you. Besides, you knew once your son tired himself out and was asleep, your parents could really get to know Sana. So, you decided to move your bags up to your scheduled room.
Unfortunately for you, Sana stopped by another door.
Gasping, Sana pushed the door open and took in every corner of your childhood room.
The room was exactly as you left it. Except less messy. No furniture was moved, no posters torn down, no trinkets replaced—it was as if you had never even left.
Sana moved to your study desk, her finger brushing the spines of textbooks that had made your high school years a living hell.
“Did you study a lot?” Sana asked, her voice light as if she were absent-minded.
“Not really, just enough to pass I guess,” Sana sent you a look over her shoulder, head slightly tilted in suspicion before turning her attention back to the desk.
She poked the trophies and participation awards, smiling at your photos crammed to a side before picking one up.
“Someone looks awfully upset here,” she brandished a photo of you standing on a podium, glaring holes at the person in front of you while you gripped your smaller award. “Sore loser much?”
“I deserved first place! You weren’t there, alright?” you rolled your eyes, plucking the photo away from her while she moved towards your bed.
“I can’t imagine you’d ever have such a tidy room,” she chuckled as she took a seat by the foot of the bed, bouncing a little on the comfortable mattress.
“Yeah, well, you have my mother to thank for that,” you smiled, as you leaned on your desk, facing Sana. Watching her.
Perhaps, it was nostalgia. Or exhaustion. Who knows, maybe even the holiday spirit. But you liked staying here, being in your old room, surrounded by things you’ve long forgotten, from a time you don’t particularly miss, but now, with Sana. Someone who promised a new start.
Sana watched you in turn, her lips pressed thin as she suppressed a knowing smile.
Leaning back, she asked. “So, is this where we’ll be sleeping? In your old room?”
Chuckling, you shook your head. “Not a chance,” you jutted your chin at the single bed, “you feel like being crammed into that?”
Sana shook her head as she turned around to feel the quilt, lips quirked up at the shark pattern.
“No, we’re taking the guest room,” you said, walking to your door. From here, you could just about see over the stairway railing and into the kitchen. Both your parents buzzed around your son like moths to a flame, grins on all of their faces. With a soft sigh, you said. “The one that will be coddled, pampered, and spoiled for the next week will be sleeping in here.”
Content for the moment, you turned your attention back to Sana but she was already looking at you. An expression akin to worry was on her features.
“They’ll like me right?”
Sana closed in on herself, hands dragging down the quilt to feel it one more time before folding in front of her stomach. Her eyes darted around the room before settling back on you. You hated seeing Sana like this.
“You don’t have anything to worry about,” you pushed away from your place at the door and took Sana’s face in your hands, helping her to look up at you. “They’ll love you.”
You leaned down, your nose brushing against hers as a chuckle escaped her.
“Just like you do,” she giggled cheekily.
You kissed her to stop her teasing.
“Hmm, sure,” but still, you admitted. “Just like I do.”
Tumblr media
Once your son had tired himself out and you had unpacked your things, you decided it was time to put him to bed. With his blue set of pyjamas that matched your ancient shark-patterned bed sheets, he clambered and got under the sheets, tucking himself in neatly. You took a seat by him on the bed, hand reaching out to comb his unruly hair out of his face.
“How are you feeling?” you asked, a bit slowly.
“Good,” your son admitted, “it’s nice to see grandma and grandpa again.”
The muscle in your jaw tensed.
You wished you could visit home often, a long drive or not, it wasn’t too hard to come back home. However, work dragged you away and you didn’t even have time to consider a plan for the weekend. Even now, your ‘long’ weekend as an excuse for a holiday was extended into a week of freedom after you’d lined up your leave days and practically begged for the holidays. There was no shame in it, the end of this year was important. There were big changes ahead.
“Good,” you parroted.
“Grandma loved my hat and said we can bake some treats from the cookbook,” he exclaimed. You nodded as he continued. “I asked her if we could make a cake—a blue one!—like Percy!”
“Like Percy,” you scoffed as you completed the sentence with him.
“She said she knows a trick so the food doesn’t come out green,” he added and you didn’t doubt him.
Ever since his class was given free rein over the library, your son has been reading quite a lot. On top of his fascination with cooking, of course. This was the longest he’s stuck with a hobby or interest, and reading that his favourite character managed to eat special blue food, catered to him by his loving mother, only spurred your son more to mimic it.
With your help, and Sana’s… mostly Sana’s, your son has mastered green pastries, desserts and sweets. Or ogre food, as you lovingly call it. For reasons that you couldn’t guess, no dye seemed to do the trick, perhaps you were buying cheap brands?
“Yeah, I’m sure she does,” you rolled your eyes before pinching his nose, at which he swatted your hand away.
“So which book are we reading tonight?” Sana asked, walking into your childhood home with a book in her hand. You could guess which one it was.
“The Lightning Thief!” your son squealed when Sana held the book up.
“Don’t you get tired of reading the same one again and again?” you asked, watching Sana as she took a seat on the other side of the bed.
“Nope!” your son said, popping the ‘p’ for emphasis.
“Okay, but aren’t you curious about what happens next—?”
“Oh, don’t start this again,” Sana said, as she conspirately shook her head with your son, clearly over your grumbling.
“I’m just saying—!”
“Oh look at the time,” your son pulled up his empty wrist. “It’s bedtime, we only have time to read a few pages, let's get started!”
Scowling, you pinched your son’s cheek and he had the audacity to giggle.
Sana had started reading the chapter you’d stopped on. Her voice was soothing to listen to, even if the story wasn’t too uplifting. Getting comfortable, you curled up next to your son over his quilt and watched his drooping eyes struggle to stay open.
As Sana finished the chapter, she glanced over. A smile tugged on her lips when she found that your son was deep asleep.
With a nod, you kissed him on the forehead and made sure he was comfortable. Following suit, Sana placed a kiss of her own on his temple. The pair of you exited the room on your tiptoes and slowly closed the door behind you.
“I’ll take the book back,” you said, extending your hand out.
Instead, Sana placed a kiss on your cheek, her eyes lidded.
“What was that for?” you asked, surprised but you weren’t complaining.
“Just because,” she shrugged and then handed the book over to you.
“Are you stalling seeing my parents?” you asked with a smirk as your hand came to rest by her neck, your thumb tipping her jaw to face you.
“Not at all,” Sana said with such conviction that if you didn’t know her better, you’d have believed her.
“They won’t take much time, I won’t let them interrogate you. I can tell them we’re tired and we need rest,” you said tilting your head to the side. “Which we do, honestly.”
Sana nodded with a sigh, her eyes shuttered close as she leaned into the warmth of your palm.
You pulled yourself in for a kiss, a gentle one, on her lips. Sana hummed before pushing away.
“I’ll see you in a second,” you whispered. “You got this.”
She nodded and turned towards the stairs. You waited till she reached the bottom of the stairs before making your way to the guest room. Staying for such a short time, there was no need to unpack completely, and for that, you were slightly grateful. That meant you could hide things without anyone being the wiser.
Dropping the book down on the open suitcase, you kneeled to rummage through the clothes. Making sure to lift layers of clothes as it is, you find a small velvet box at the very bottom. The sight of it brought a smile to your face. It can only mean so many things, though you still have some things to complete.
Leaving it in the same room would be a gamble. The guest room was basically empty, anyone would be able to find it. Every other room in this house had someone staying in it or had them frequent it often. Anything moved out of its place would ring the alarm bells, no, you needed to hide this somewhere no one was likely to check.
So you walked back to your childhood room and entered as quietly as you could. Your son was sound asleep. The left door on your cupboard creaked when it opened, but if you applied pressure on the hinges as you opened, it made barely any sound. Locating the bottommost drawer, you pulled up your old clothes and shoved the box at the very back before hiding it under the clothes.
Happy with your task, you exited the room just as stealthily and made your way down to join your family as if nothing were amiss.
Tumblr media
Even with the help of your mother, it seems your son had difficulty mastering blue food.
Somehow your mother managed to convince your son from an elaborate tiered cake to a classic sponge cake to plain old blueberry muffins. You’d hoped that maybe you could escape for the day, maybe with Sana, around your old neighbourhood. Unfortunately, you’d been roped in as assistant chefs and taste-testers instead.
Seated on the couch, you watched three of the most important people in your family take a crack at making blueberry muffins which were actually blue in colour. Sana had been assigned mixing duty, which made no sense to you because you knew for a fact your mother had an ancient stand mixer lying around somewhere in the house. Though Sana didn’t seem to share your sense of justice as she was happy to do so.
Your mother was taking her time going through the recipe book and teaching your son her own techniques. The sight helped you recall some of your own moments under her wing in the kitchen, though you were neither as interested nor skilled to be there. Oh but your son, he was completely enraptured. You’ve never seen him in school and struggled to attend parent-teacher meetings, but you guessed this is how he was in class as well. The swell of pride on your chest was an indescribable feeling.
When Sana said that the batter was ready, your head perked up. Leaving your place on the couch, you made your way to the kitchen. Making sure your mother and son were distracted by the oven, you moved behind Sana. You had to be quick!
Rounding one hand on her waist, you placed your chin over her shoulder and at that, she chuckled while snuggling into your side. And then, you struck.
Your free hand’s index finger dipped into the bowl to carry a dollop of aqua-blue batter straight into your mouth.
By the time Sana had realized what you’d just done, you were already out of her reach. Her indignant shriek altered the other two chefs of your crime, though even they couldn’t do much now.
When the muffins had been completed, you were surprised to see they were properly blue. Not some horrid inedible shade of green.
Your first question after inhaling a few muffins alongside your father was to your mother.
“How did you get them so blue?” you asked, staring at the dishes in the sink, looking as if a smurf had been murdered. “We never managed.”
“Well, depends if you bothered to buy the brand I told you to,” your mother showed an empty tube on the counter and you rolled your eyes at the dig.
“I did buy that brand!” you said, moving to pick up and examine the tube… only to find two more tubes hidden, flattened beyond recognition.
“Well, then it depends on quantity,” your mother said as you turned on the balls of your feet, incredulous.
“Is this much dye even healthy?” you asked, already reading the ingredients on the tube.
“Guess we’ll find out,” your mother only shrugged as she looked at her husband, still scarfing down the muffins. You sent your mother another incredulous look but she just laughed at her own silly joke.
Tumblr media
As the holiday came to an end, you finally got your chance to spend some time alone with Sana.
Your father claimed he barely got any time to spend with his grandson. Of course, that was a complete lie. With how much time and money he spent, you’d even debated getting your son a gift at all. Though that was out of the question, you and Sana had already set your mind on what it was and had it ordered beforehand. You just had to go collect it.
So your father said he’d take you all to the park. Once there, you let them go their own way. One moment, your son was accompanying your father and the next he was running at the nearest dog, eager to pet it.
Holding hands, you and Sana watched as you made your way through the park. With every step, you were getting further away until you could see your son no more. Suddenly, the velvet box in your jacket pocket weighed you down, as if it had materialized into your jacket out of thin air.
“Not going to lie,” Sana started, “I thought you’d show me more of your old home.”
“Oh, yeah? Like what?”
“I don’t know, something like your old friends? Your old school? Old hang-out spots?” Sana drew on. “Maybe how that high school enemy of yours and how they work at a general store, having never escaped this small town?”
“I don’t know what winter budget film you watched, but that’s not happening here,” you rolled your eyes at her imagination. “Also, what enemy?”
“The first-place winner,” Sana said with a cheeky smile.
“Oh please, I’m not that petty to be thinking about something that happened so long ago,” Sana watched you intently, nodding along almost in a mocking manner. “And besides, they’re a professor at the university across the city, I believe.”
Sana’s grin widened as you just realised what you admitted.
“I wasn’t keeping tabs on them! I just saw a post of theirs recently, alright!” you cried, though it fell on deaf ears.
The most important thing to come out of the walk was your destination. To and back, it was mostly filled with Sana’s inane questions (filled with imaginative scenarios to paint you as some egregious husk of a human, might you add) and you answering them with proper facts and maybe some anecdotes. Sana stopped by the crafts store to collect wrapping paper while you collected your son’s gift.
It was the following series of his favourite books; Heroes of Olympus.
Yes, he has yet to finish the last two books of the current series. And yes, you’d only just berated (teased) him about rereading the first book. But you could just imagine how his face would light up when he sees these books. In fact… you don’t even know if you’ll be reading these books to him by the time he gets to them, which was strange to think about but really, there wasn’t a better gift for your son.
When you arrived back home, your son was taking a nap on the couch, which made it all the more easier to wrap the present for him and get dinner ready.
Tumblr media
When your son woke up the table was already set and the first thing he did was take his seat. All eyes were on him, everyone was wearing smiles watching him practically bounce on his seat. He gets to have his dinner, the muffins that he made, and then open his gifts early. Your father, chuckling, ruffled his hair and took a seat beside him.
Dinner, for the most part, was uneventful as usual. That's not to say you didn’t have any fun. You did, you really did. As you ate your meal, you took a backseat in the conversation, observing just how comfortable Sana was alongside your family. She had absolutely nothing to be worried about. Your parents adored her. Almost as much as how much you and your son did.
“So when is it?” your father’s question filtered in and you looked away from your nearly clean plate.
“When is what?” you asked before taking your final bite.
“I asked when are you two getting married?”
Sana had to rub your back so you didn’t choke on your food, or worse, spit it across the table.
“What?” you tip a sip of water. “What do you mean?”
“It’s a valid question, really,” your mother admitted, not really looking at you, but you could see the smile toying at the edge of her lips.
“Yeah, when is it happening?” your son looked up at you, eyes wide and shiny.
“Um…” you turned to Sana for some help. Instead, she took her hand from your back and placed her chin on it, leaning in and expecting your answer as well.
The velvet box seemed to burn in your jacket pocket.
Tumblr media
Somehow, you’d managed to get out of that dreadful situation.
Once the plates were cleared and blueberry muffins disappeared. It was time for presents.
As if aware of what he might get, your son gravitated toward the large box set you’d gotten. And you were right.
Nothing could compare to the expression on his face when he realized what he’d gotten.
Without hesitation, he jumped into your arms and thanked you a thousand times. You reminded him that Sana had pitched in as well and he was flying at her to give her the same treatment.
Perhaps, you were petty.
Because you took pride that no other gift earned the same amount of excitement.
The night settled down and your family received one last gift from your mother.
When all of you were out, she’d tidied up the backyard and made hot chocolate.
Tumblr media
All throughout this holiday, every moment seemed to be building up to this one.
Under the twinkling fairy lights, you joined your son on the steps to the backyard. He was sitting with his knees up, his hands toying with a small figurine of Poseidon. Sana had bought it for him the moment she laid eyes on it, having thrifted it from some store, you couldn’t help but smile at the memory.
Seeming to be in deep thought, your son watched the sight before him. With steaming cups of hot chocolate in their hands, your parents conversed with Sana. You didn’t know what she said, but it had your father throwing his head back and letting loose a loud snort. Your mother’s eyes crinkled in amusement as she flitted her attention back and forth between them.
Clearing your throat, you began to speak. “Your hot chocolate is turning into cold chocolate, you know.”
You were sure that comment would earn a look from him, but instead, your son moved a hand towards his cup, the figurine still in the other. He sighed and brought the cup to his mouth anyway. But before he could take a sip, you switched out his for your own cup.
“Here, have mine,” you said, carefully placing the warm cup in his hands.
Your son mumbled his thanks and sipped the drink silently, his eyes back on Sana. There was something he wanted to say. You had something you wanted to ask him too. But you decided to wait him out, let him come to you first because you surmised both of you wanted to discuss the same thing.
And so for a moment, on Christmas day, you sat in silence with your son, on the steps to your childhood backyard, sipping warm (and yours, cold) chocolate.
When he was done halfway with his hot chocolate, he placed the cup back down. You followed him. His hands were fidgeting with the figurine again, spinning it round and round, only stopping from time to time to run his index finger over the trident.
“Grandpa was right, you know,” you’ve never heard your son’s voice so small. Wavering, as if he were confused, nervous even. “Why haven’t you asked Sana to marry you?”
He paused to bite his lip while his eyes flitted to the figurine, thumb caressing the figurine’s armour.
“Is it because of me?” he asked. The utterance is almost like an exhale, light but onerous.
It would be so easy to provide empty consolation, that no, it wasn’t anything to do with him. But he knows you too well for that to pass, he’d see right through your attempt. Your son is already quite wise beyond his years, especially at the most inopportune times for you, and was only getting older. For as long as you can remember, it's only ever been the two of you.
Your dates, however rare, come and go. His babysitters, much to his distaste in the beginning, come and go. Having a partner at the start seemed so important, if not to share the burden of caring for a child, then to at least have another figure for your son to look up to. And when you questioned that sort of thinking, you’d figured that all that really mattered was that you were there for your son. With little time as you did have with him in your day, you fought to make time for him. You hadn’t even entertained the idea, that perhaps, you’d date just for yourself. When it came to your son or some romantic dalliance that would never amount to anything real, the choice was easy.
Because at the end of the day, it's only ever been the two of you.
But all of that changed when Sana arrived at your doorstep.
You doubted that neither of you, all three of you even, expected this outcome.
So you understood where your son was coming from, asking this question.
And you decided to be honest with your son, as you always have.
“Yes, in a way.”
Finally, your son turned his full attention to you. His hands were still holding the figurine, but they weren’t fidgeting anymore.
You also turned to face him.
Round eyes had turned sharp, searching for something. Yet his face was a little less expressive, more difficult to read. There were lines of worry decorating his forehead, he seemed older. He’s always by your side, it’s so easy to miss. But this close, on this night, it was obvious. He had grown up.
“Before I asked her, I wanted to ask you,” you confessed. The velvet box that was previously hidden underneath your old clothes in the third drawer of your cupboard was now heavy in your pocket. Your son tilted his head in question. “For as long as I can remember, it has been just you and me.”
You sighed. These words were harder to get out than you’d expected.
“I know you like Sana, and I know she already stays with us, and I know you know how much I love her,” the corner of your son’s lips twitched up a bit. “But there’s a difference between being together and being married. I think it’s a big step. And I don’t want to take that step with your blessing.”
It only took your son a fraction of a second to react. He nodded, eager to say yes.
“Of course, I want this for you,” he said, grinning. “She makes you happy. You make her happy too. And that makes me happy!”
And he was back.
He was giggling to himself as he poked your side with a finger. You rolled your eyes as you tried to brave the tickling sensation.
“But seriously, I want this,” he nodded before turning his attention back to his cup of hot chocolate. He was going to take a sip, but stopped and looked at you. “And… and thanks for asking me.”
“Of course,” was all you could say as both of you went to take a sip from your mugs.
“Ugh!” your son let out an ugly bleh! and frowned. Your parents and Sana turned to look over at you. “This is so cold! Is yours too?”
Your mother chuckled and nodded. From across the yard, she asked. “Shall we go heat them up?”
“Yes, please!” your son stood up and pocketed his figurine. He extended a hand for your cup as well. When you gave it up, he whispered conspiraterly before your mother could whisk him away. “Good luck! You got this!”
And then with a giggle, he’d skipped off into the house.
Your mother stopped at the steps just as you got up and dusted yourself up.
“What were you two whispering about?” she asked with an uptick of her brow as if she hadn’t had her guesses. You shrugged.
“What were you laughing about?” you asked. Your mother glanced back at your father and Sana, then back to you. She shrugged.
“Okay, be like that then,” you said and your mother only chuckled.
Then, she turned back again and called out to your father. “Did you take your tablets?”
“Shit, no!” your father excused himself and rushed over.
“Language!” your mother said as your father zoomed past, though he was more hobbling. Then your mother looked back at you. “She’ll say yes.”
And with that, she followed your father in and closed the balcony door to shut away the cold air.
You turned to Sana. She was already looking at you.
Without a mug, she had nothing to fidget with, so she had her hands steepled in front of her stomach. Her eyes were wide, expectant, as you made your way over.
“Hey,” you said, both your hands finding their place in your pockets. Of course, it was only a front to find the box they were hiding.
“Hi,” she said, the corner of her lips twitching up.
There was nothing left to do. Nothing more you were so sure of.
So instead of stuffing up the moment with unprepared words and emotion, you pulled out the box.
Sana didn’t gasp or squeal or tear up. She just raised her steepled hands to her lips, her cheeks pushed up so high, elated crinkles forming beside her eyes.
You weren't a grand person either. No big dinner, no big celebration, no build-up. You’d considered it, you really had, merely for the sake of Sana. But everything else just felt so unlike you, well, unlike the pair of you. Your start had been so simple, so unassuming, only because there was already so much between you. And everything that had followed, with her, and her with your son, had been the same. Everything just made sense.
But you did think, perhaps, you should get down on one knee.
So you started lowering yourself to the ground as you opened the box. But before you could complete the pose, Sana grabbed you by your collar and pulled you into a crushing kiss.
You surmised that was a yes and smiled into the kiss.
Tumblr media
“Come on, come on,” your son was ecstatic, practically shooting off from his seat on the couch. Sana only smiled to herself as she set up the laptop on the coffee table, making sure the camera showed everyone and that she looked all right. “We’re in!”
Handing Sana the mugs in your hands, you seated yourself down and lifted your son onto your lap. Just as you were taking back your mug, a shrill voice shrieked. “Sana!”
Your son giggled while your eyes widened. Because Sana returned the greeting with the same energy. “Nayeon!”
You’ve heard of that one before, Nayeon, and seen photos of her too. Well, you couldn’t remember exactly, Sana had quite the group of friends but when Nayeon’s face appeared along with another person, you just smiled and waved awkwardly.
“Hi! It’s so nice to finally meet you,” Nayeon said politely to you just as another screen popped up. You knew them, the newlyweds!
You parroted her greeting as more screens popped up with familiar faces, but none close. You’ve only heard stories or seen photos. The laptop erupted with voices, none of which you recognized, it was quite overwhelming. Though, Sana had no trouble at all catching the flow of the conversation and laughing along. Your son seemed to follow her, although silently. Someone with the name of Choi Tzuyu housed two people on their screen, they both waved at your son, who responded eagerly.
“I think everyone is here!” one of the women said, her profile name read Jihyo. She was clearly wearing a suit, though her tie had been undone. “Yup, headcount done, everyone is here. How are we moving forward with this?”
“Well, that depends on Sana, really,” a woman from Nayeon’s screen said, she’d just joined the pair that was already there. She was wearing a smug smile, and in response, Sana rolled her eyes.
Both you and your son turned to Sana, expectant.
Grinning at the ground, feigning bashfulness, Sana held up her left hand. And there it was, glinting in the light, your engagement ring.
The audio lagged from how much volume erupted. Someone wolf-whistled, while the others laughed and clapped. You knew people were congratulating you, but you were too busy fending off Sana burying her forehead into your shoulder. Only your son seemed to delight in the revelry.
And then, to your horror, someone yelled. “Show us your ring too!”
Before you could even lift your hand, your son had taken your left hand and held it above his head, showcasing the matching ring!
Someone shrieked again, although this time around the celebration was a bit more subdued.
“Damn, I thought we were all gonna scream again but okay,” the one with the profile name Hirai Momo said, while the person next to them swatted their arm. “What? It’s—”
“Please ignore Momo, congrats on your engagement,” Jihyo said, leaning forward, trying to look right at you. “I know Sana has been excited about this for quite a while.”
“Oh,” was all you could say, as Sana pulled away from you, a blush coating her cheeks.
“We knew this was coming,” the profile Dahyun said, “but I think this is the first child in our little group—hello!”
Your son perked up as all attention was on him. “Hello!”
He was readying himself to be asked questions, to share his interest in cooking with a whole new group of people, though the conversation switched again.
“He’s not the first child, we have children too,” Momo whined. “Look, Boo and Dobby are here.”
And then she continued to make the most obnoxious noise to call over her dogs.
“You did not just compare an adorable kid to your feral dogs,” said the person next to Momo, even though they reached out to a dog themself and picked one up. “I’m sorry for this one, kid.”
Your son didn’t seem to mind, instead, he was absolutely taken with the two dogs in the hands of the couple.
“Then, I guess I have children too,” someone from the profile Choi Tzuyu said and called over another dog too.
“Oh, Tzuyu, you’re back home?” someone asked and once again, the conversation changed.
Smiling at the sight, you were content with just seeing Sana interact with her friends. She’d been pretty adamant about staying with you for this Christmas, and she’d mentioned how horrid the one before had been. It was the reason this group had decided to call this time around.
Then out of the blue, Jihyo asked. “So when is the wedding?”
“Why are you asking? So you can bring that plus-one of yours from last time?”
The call erupted again.
“Right, right, how long are you just going to be attending weddings? When are you going—”
“Jeongyeon, I’m going to stop you right there, you’re giving me traumatic flashbacks to my mom,” Jihyo said, holding up her hands. “And, that plus-one was a one-time thing, I’ll probably never see them again.”
“They’ll probably be there for Sana’s wedding, let's be honest,” even the slightest mention of your wedding had you sweating. Sana seemed to notice.
Muting yourself, Sana turned to you. “They’re going to go at this for a while, thanks for agreeing to meet them… they’re basically family to me.”
“Yeah, no, of course,” you said, placing a quick kiss on her cheek. You ignored the one who whistled again. You were muted, not off-camera. You tried not to display your embarrassment. “I’ll get this one ready for bed then.”
Your son was pouting, but Sana just nodded. “I’ll finish up this call, and we can finish up your favourite chapter.”
At that, your son’s smile returned.
“Come on,” you said, picking him up and giving him a boost to land across the couch. You took the empty mug from Sana’s hand and left as she re-entered the conversation as if her little pause never occurred.
“Mina! Ask Mina, she’s single too—!”
“But we’re here to talk about you, Jihyo—!”
“What do you mean? You just got engaged!”
Their voices faded with every step you took away from Sana, your son in tow.
Maybe it was the end of the year, maybe it was the communal holiday spirit, but every Christmas, you found yourself reminiscing about past memories. Watching your son take his first steps, to watching him become confident in his own skin, you were glad he was surrounded by people who loved him as much as you did. And now, that permanently included Sana. These holidays have changed so many things, all of which you were so deeply grateful for.
Surged with a wave of emotion upon reaching the threshold of your childhood bedroom,  and unable to suppress your elation, you grabbed your son by the hips and lifted him into the air. You were sure the sound of his surprised giggles would stay imprinted in your mind for many more Christmases to come.

full of you
minatozaki sana x fem!reader ; pure fluff
summary: sleepy girlfriend, tired girlfriend, girlfriends sleepy together, girlfriends tired together.
wc: 1.1k
sana ver. of this was requested, so i had to deliver!! (i love writing for sana sm.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: i'm going to start linking songs because almost all of my works are titled by songs that fit the drabble.
♫⋆。♪ ₊˚♬ : full of you by so soo bin
-
the blue-light glasses you wear slide down your nose and you push them back up again, then go back to typing at your laptop.
the hours passed by in the blink of an eye, and the only thing you remembered before finishing up your work was hearing the sweet voice of your girlfriend telling you that she'd be home late. sana's "make sure you eat!" had echoed through your head, and you felt bad for drowning yourself in work instead of munching on something. it's fine, you had a big lunch anyway.
You roll your shoulders and move your neck around before sinking back into the couch, letting out a slow breath.
there's a small sound coming from where the entrance is, and your face lights up when you realize it's your girlfriend unlocking the door. your head turns to face her, you smile immediately. sana sets her bag down on the table and her grin is so bright, she rushes to the couch to lean down and kiss your lips.
"i missed you so much," sana mutters in between kisses, "i couldn't stop thinking about you."
you laugh and sana pulls away, your face is cupped in her hands as if you were the most precious thing in the world (which, you are in sana's eyes).
"i missed you too, definitely more." you grin. sana pouts playfully and kisses your nose,
"definitely not," she argues. you roll your eyes at her response and laugh. sana peeks over at your laptop screen, then smiles at the sight of you in your plaid pajama pants, loose t-shirt, and glasses. "you're still working?"
"yeah," you sigh, "finishing something for my coworker, but they'll still pay me for overtime," you add, trying to lighten up the mood. sana rubs a thumb on your cheek,
"how long have you been working?" sana questions.
"two hours now, maybe three," you respond, stretching your arms out as she pulls her hands away from your cheeks.
"did you eat?" worry and concern laced in her tone–your jaw tenses.
"i lost track of time." you shrug, "i'll eat a lot tomorrow? i already showered and brushed my teeth." and your attempt at easing her worries fails.
sana pouts and it's not her cute playful pout–it's the one that breaks your heart a bit.
"you better eat everything i cook for you tomorrow, then." sana says, though it's more of a demand and she's practically threatening you in a way. you just nod and giggle at how cute she looks,
"alright alright, now go shower, you stink." you say, but you're lying so hard because you can smell the wonderful scent of roses and citrus from that signature perfume she uses.
sana hits you with a pillow,
you laugh.
- twenty minutes pass and the feeling of someone plopping down next to you on the couch makes you jump, your shoulders move upwards. sana laughs and kisses you on the cheek; it's nice and grounding. the scent of lavender fills your nose as your girlfriend leans against your shoulder, immediately relaxing into you and sighing contently. you laugh at the way she unwinds against you and turn to kiss her head.
the only thing that fills the silent room is the click of your keyboard as you tap at it, and sana's low breathing as she cuddles against you. every couple of minutes you glance over at her, and she's been scrolling through some online clothing shop; of course, she's shopping online again. you plant kisses on her head here and there before going back to whatever project you were covering for your coworker, desperately trying to get it done quickly so you could fall asleep with your girlfriend in your arms.
a yawn escapes your lips as you type out the last line of code, and you quickly move tabs to email your coworker and your boss. sana smiles brightly as you shut down your laptop and set it down on the couch somewhere, and now you can fully focus on your girlfriend.
"done?" sana murmurs. you nod and hum, leaning back into the couch lazily and putting your arm around sana, which makes her nestle against you more. your hand gently caresses her cheek and rubs against it softly, making sana hum.
"how was dinner?" you question.
sana yawns before setting her phone down and answering. "good, good. i just got caught up with nayeon, momo, and mina. nayeon asked where you were."
"i see," you mutter softly, "sorry i couldn't make it."
"it's okay." sana assures. her eyes slowly close and her arm wraps around you, "i just missed you a lot, haven't seen you much today."
"tomorrow is saturday, we can spend all day together then."
your girlfriend yawns again and her breathing starts to settle down, "mhm, and i'll cook you breakfast." she trails off. you can tell she's getting sleepy with the way she almost slurs out her words, and how her body is completely limp against yours. your slender fingers make their way to play with her hair, running through the dark-brown strands and then making your way to massage her shoulder lightly.
sana mumbles something incoherent and you mutter a small "what?" in response, she opens her eyes just barely and you manage to make out her small request:
"carry me to the bed? sleepy…" she murmurs into your neck, closing her eyes again. you laugh at her words,
"okay lovely."
you shift over a little so your arms can pull sana onto you, and she's already clinging to you lazily. her arms wrap around your neck and her legs lock around your hips too as you stand up, she plants a small kiss behind your ear. the lightbulb that illuminates the small living room shuts off as you flip the switch, and you head into the room with your girlfriend who's clinging onto you like a koala.
sana is set down onto the mattress gently, then take off your glasses and put them on the wooden nightstand beside the bed. a groan escapes your lips as you stretch your arms out, then you rub your eyes slightly before climbing into bed with the love of your life.
the purple blanket is pulled over the two of you, and you let sana snuggle closer to your body–and you're ninety percent sure she's doing it while she's fully asleep, but it doesn't matter whether she's awake or not because you just wrap your arms around her, pulling her closer.
your eyelids get heavier with each slow, tired breath, and your eyes flutter shut.
"love you," you murmur sleepily, pressing your lips against her forehead lazily.
the two of you doze off together, and there's no place you'd rather be.

second choice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"was I ever an option?"
"what do you mean?"
"you heard me."
"I-"
"was i ever an option?"
"come on, you're drunk."
"why are you not answering my question?"
sana says nothing.
you're starting to get frustrated.
yes, it is obvious to anyone, you're drunk. but does that allow sana to not answer?
drunk words are sober thoughts.
maybe sana tries to forget about that saying.
maybe she just doesn't want to say anything.
"so?" you ask her.
"some day you have to answer, it makes no difference if it is right now or weeks after." your words slurred.
she sighs, not wanting to accept that you're right.
"i don't know honestly." she answers.
your heart aches when she speaks.
"i don't fucking know okay?"
she doesn't want to talk about this.
she just wants to call you an uber which drops you off at your small apartment.
"why did you kiss me then?" you ask, looking at her.
your apartment, where you made too many memories with her.
"i don't know"
your apartment, where she took your virginity.
"you wanted to forget everything about him?"
"every single thing." she answers.
it feels like she is the one that is drunk - like she is the one that can't think clearly.
"so you used me?" you ask stupidly, knowing the answer.
"i-"
she doesn't continue talking.
you think about calling that uber yourself.
"i thought you were someone that is so good with their words" you say.
she just looks at you, not knowing what to say.
and maybe, problably, you were right.
you sigh, getting up and taking your jacket with you.
she grabs your cold wrist, and you look down at her.
"y/n-" she says.
a bad habit of hers, she starts to talk without even knowing what exactly she wants to say.
"i never was an option, why do you want me now?" you ask.
sana doesn't know what to answer.
maybe it is better that way, one answer would get you crying in her arms.
"let me go" her grip is tight around your wrist.
"please" you mutter.
she lets go, her slim fingers brush over your hand when you pull away and walk away.
she watches after you, even thinks about running after you.
as much as she wants to be a good person though, she knows you are going to come back.
as much as she wants you to be happy and find love, she will use you over and over again.
with no end in sight.

“what do you know about journalism?”
you look up from your laptop, glasses hanging from the slim bridge of your nose as sana sits across the table wearing a proud smile, awaiting for your critical opinion.
“well it’s competitive, scrappy, and most of the media outlets are at each other’s throats most of the time.” you answer, pulling your specs off of your face as sana straightens herself on the seat outside of a local cafe on your college campus.
sana leans with her head on hand, staring as you go back to continuing work on your laptop. she was aware that you were editing a short video project that you did all yourself with only a phone and a drone. sana sees the perching eyelashes at the bottom of your eyes, the few strands of hair that hovered over your forehead almost mimicking bangs, flashing your eyes at her again, raising your eyebrows as she squints at you—a defense mechanism of her sort.
“you should consider taking the internship with the local production team in your editing class.”
“sana, we’ve been over this, i’m only doing this video recording thing as a hobby.”
“but imagine the good camera work you’ve shown me!” sana starts off, “you can actually get a good decent paying job with the skills that you have now!”
you lean back from your laptop again, pondering at the proposition that sana had laid out in front of you. rubbing your chin as you consider the many benefits that might come with the offer. the pay would be fine temporarily, but it was the amount of connections that you can branch out from to get more opportunities to showcase your recording and editorial work—sana was good, she backed you into a corner as you smirked at the thought.
“you really want to do this news job sana?” you ask sana as her eyes widen at the question, nodding profusely as you let out a soft laugh at her eagerness.
“trust me y/n, just imagine us working at the same job together. it’ll be great!”
“alright, i hear ya. where do we sign up?”
minatozaki sana was a person who was always looking for an adventure.
the first time you met her was back in your second year of high school as you were a new transfer student that just moved into town. it had already been about two or three weeks into the academic year, but the transition wasn’t that overwhelming for you since you were already accustomed to being moved around different towns in short spans of time.
“everyone! we have a new student joining us today.” your english teacher announced to the class. mr. taecyeon was very fond and super nice, so just by meeting him in the first few seconds you didn’t have any worry as you stood at the front of the classroom, clutching the right strap of your backpack as you scanned the five rows of faces that gave you faint smiles.
“nice to meet you all, my name is y/n.”
sana was sitting in the back of the classroom as she raised her head up, noticing your calm silver voice with her ears, flashing a look as she took note of your outfit as you wore a simple grey hoodie with tan cargo pants. sana also notices that you were a little bit taller than you looked–given that she was sitting down as she leaned over to the right side of her desk to get a better look at you. you notice a person sticking out as you accidentally meet eyes with sana, looking in a different direction right away while mr. taecyeon stood next to you.
“alright y/n we already have assigned seats, but you can go ahead and have the empty seat next to sana in the back row.” mr. taecyeon instructed, putting his arm out showing you the desk in the fourth row, sana sitting on the right at the back corner.
you briskly walk over to the back of the classroom, sneakers squeaking lightly as you set your bag down before seating promptly on the chair. you look over to sana as she does the same, both of you smiling as you bow as a way of acknowledging each other's presence before diverting your attention back to the front of the class.
“now, y/n i know that you’re new so don’t worry we’ll get you up to speed in due time.” mr. taceyeon says, holding an open book flatly on his large palm. “for now you can look over to sana’s book that way you can see what we're going over with in the class currently.”
you and sana both nod at the teacher’s request, scooting your chair over closer to sana as you observe the different items she had on her desk. a hello kitty pencil pouch, a minimal pen with a cat raising its paw up with the tail as the main button to activate the pen, and a small molang rabbit plush sitting upright against the other student’s chair sitting in front of you.
“i like the stationery you have, it’s cute.” you whisper to sana as sana looks at you with a dorky expression.
“why thank you y/n. i appreciate the compliment.”
you could immediately tell that sana was very bright and charming given the way her voice sounded. she also looked beautiful, easy on the eye, someone that is inviting—you had nothing to worry about as you and her continued to read on the textbook sitting on the desk.
your eyes trail off to her binder set on the floor, noticing that she had different cutouts of newspaper headlines and quotes. it was peculiar to look at as you tapped her arm to get her attention.
“what’s with the ripped newspapers on your binder?”
“i have a thing with old newspaper articles, i want to be a reporter and journalist in the future.”
you were intrigued with her profession as you nod at the answer question you just received, placing your eyes back on the words of the textbook, reading along as you follow the lecture that mr. taecyeon was giving the class.
after forty minutes, the bell rang. the hallway now flooding with students scrambling their way to the next class as you and sana walk out of mr. taecyeon’s class, you leading the way as sana sees the small pink kirby keychain hanging from your bottom zipper.
“i like your keychain choice, i have a friend named mina who plays video games a lot and also likes kirby.” sana says, you turn around to face square with her as a small lump forms in your throat.
“oh, thank you.” you reply, “i’ve had this since kindergarten so it’s been stuck with me for forever really.” gazing in the sea of heads as you return your face to sana’s. she was wearing an all black outfit with a fitted sweater, her light brown hair contrasting the scheme as beams an appealing smile at you again.
“where’s your next class y/n?”
you had to pause for a second before remembering your new class schedule, “i have biology with mrs. jackson upstairs.” you answer, pointing your finger up to the ceiling as sana parts her lips open at your action.
“ah i see. my locker is actually next to her class, so i’ll walk with you if that’s okay.”
“i don’t mind at all sana, i actually don’t know my way around the school at all so i need all the help i can get.” you say, breaking into a light laugh.
you hear her laugh again, matching hers as you two begin to make your way to the set of stairs down the hallway. it was a quick trip, but you definitely enjoyed the company as you reached the bio class on the second floor, sana stopping at her locker right before the classroom.
“i guess i’ll see you later?” you ask sana, backing up into the open door as sana nods at your question.
“do you wanna have lunch together?” sana abruptly asks you, stopping in your tracks at her offer.
“sure!” you answer without hesitating, “i’ll see you at the cafeteria then?”
“you bet, y/n. see you at lunch.”
so that’s how it started really. kind of poetic that sana would be the one to convince you to take the open camerawoman job in the same news outlet that she was working for as a reporter and part-time journalist.
the years of friendship don’t say enough of how much you and sana have grown close with each other. you and her realize that the bond that was built was one of those rare friendships that isn’t really seen much around these days—almost as if in another universe you and her would always be together somehow.
sana learned early on that you always had a thing for cameras—recording or taking pictures of anything and everything to capture the moment. you learn that sana was engaged with a lot of the high school extracurricular activities, even being asb leader during senior year of high school. it wasn’t a surprise that she earned the title of “most likely to be a news anchor or reporter” in the yearbook and you egged her on for that.
separate ways was not an option between you two, so you and sana were extremely happy when you and her got accepted at the same college. you majoring in filmmaking and camera work while sana was dead focused on being a journalist.
in between those years of hanging out together or with friends, there’s hidden glances of a potential interest—mostly from sana as you were totally oblivious to her looks because it was so natural of her to be bubbly.
maybe there could be something more, but for now it’s just admiration.
“sana! i want you to meet our newest swinger for the camera crew.” the manager dino says to her as he brings you in front of sana. “y/n here told me that she already knows you-”
“of course dino, we’ve known each other for many years now.” sana says with a small laugh as you look away with one eye closed, smirking with the left side of your face.
“good to know! i’ll leave you with her and you can catch her up to speed, she’ll be accompanying you when you head out with your assigned tasks.” dino says brightly as he bows slightly before scouting the room for another potential person/victim to work with.
while he exits himself, you walk forward, twining your fingers with sana’s as you both freak out quietly in small celebration.
“see?! i told you that your portfolio was a good thing to convince them with.”
“sana, it was a last minute job opening. i’m even surprised that they hired me on the spot.” you say you hear your name being called over to one of the neighboring cameras.
“y/n, we’re gonna start rolling soon!” you hear one of the workers say to you as you flash a loving smile at sana, hands still entangled with hers.
“you’re subbing for the anchor?”
“yeah, but i’ve done it already before once so it happens.” sana replies as she lets go of your hands.
“see you in the break room?”
“save a cup of coffee for me.”
you learn very quickly that the dream news job that sana always talked to you about when hanging out, it was a hidden world that you didn’t think that you’d get hooked into.
every day in the studio had something new for you to get your hands messy with. one day you had to record behind the main camera for the news desk since the person that was supposed to be on it was out sick. you had no idea how to work the damn thing, but as long as you had the lens pointed at the anchors and there was a big red recording button for you to press, it would be an easy task to do.
then there was the whole editing room incident, that bumped up your area of expertise that you didn’t even mention when you first applied for the camerawoman job.
“this damn panel is bugging out on me again!” sana hears in the room behind as she walks past it, with a cup of warm coffee in her hand after shooting today’s report for the afternoon. she pops her head in to see a set of legs on the floor, knees pointing upward as she was now curious to see what was the problem.
“something wrong chan?” sana asks the person laying on the floor, half of their body under the desk as he pops back up to see their well acquainted coworker for roughly about two months.
“the secondary main computer and this panel here have been tripping out all morning.” bangchan answers, slapping the computer flatly with his hand as he fiddles with the knobs on the mixer set next to the malfunctioning computer. “we’re very lucky that this didn’t trip out during recording just now.”
“are you sure that it’s the computer and not the main mixer panel?” sana asks bangchan, leaning back on the desk behind her as bangchan goes under again with a flashlight to see if anything was out of place in terms of wires beneath.
“i don’t know, but i called a couple people over already to come look at this so they’ll be here in a bit to see if they’ll fix it.” bangchan answers as sana blows a stream of air through her lips as she was worried that bangchan himself couldn’t fix it.
you got called to come to the studio on your day off, but given what your friend mark said on the phone with the whole rundown of the situation, you weren’t sure how good of a help you might be.
walking into the main recording control room, you’re met with a small group of people surrounding the computer as the people make a path for you to walk through. bangchan was sitting with legs crossed like a kindergartener as you look up to see the anchors in the desk behind overseeing the situation, nodding at jihyo and eunbi as they flashed a small wave at you.
“what’s the situation here?” you ask out loud as you look over to sana, who greeted you with an eye smile before you turned your attention back to bangchan who sighed out in exhaustion.
“the secondary computer has been bugging all this morning.” bangchan answers, “we were able to get today’s afternoon recording in but it could’ve gone bad on the air.”
“alright, let’s see what we’re working with here.” you say to yourself as you put your vintage dad hat on, cracking your fingers as you began to click and type away on the keyboard, opening up the main program of the computer and skimming through the lines of text before opening different applications to see if everything was working properly.
sana leans in closely to see you work through the stubborn computer as you look over to the mixer panel, turing it on as the many dials and lights started calibrating and recalibrating, you fiddle with the knobs like bangchan did before you look in one of the other areas of the mixer before shifting over back to the computer and run a subroutine in the main settings window.
“shit y/n, when the hell were you so good with computers?” a worker standing behind you asks as you continue to scan the screen swiftly as you scratch your head for a quick second.
“i dabbled a bit with some computer work back in high school.” you answer swiping the bottom of your lip with your finger before briskly typing away on the keyboard. “sana can actually vouch for me on that.” you add as all of the workers including the anchors and bangchan look at sana as she simply smiled and nodded. everyone was left in disbelief as the whole group looked back at you staring at the screen still as you did some last minute taps on the keyboard.
“i think i found the problem.” you say as you slide over to the neighboring computer on your left which was the primary computer, doing a few clicks as something popped up on the main screen—it was an editing software that had a previous recording of the news broadcast that was edited, but it appeared that someone was running the program while shooting today that was causing problems.
“turns out you had the other recording in the backburner of the main recording from today.” you exclaim pointing to the screen, “whoever was on this computer must’ve forgot to close the program before leaving the other day.”
everyone in the room exclaims in glee as small applauses are heard as you relish in the moment while sitting down. sana watches from a distance while her looks shift a little more differently at you. it didn’t feel weird at all and sana felt the warmth of your smile reach to her cheeks.
remember that unbridled admiration sana had for you? well all of that went out the window and was replaced with a change for something more. and this would kill sana if you found out the realization about this moment from her.
even in the dimly lit room, your smile under the cap had become even more beautiful for sana to stare at as you spin around the group of people in your chair like a kid being surprised at their birthday party. the eyes through your glasses were wider than ufo saucers and even with the hat on it made you infinitely cuter. sana has been friends with you for years but this was the first real instance of her noticing your attractive appearance.
the way you humbled yourself with the subtle recognition really reflected how you were as a person who didn’t want all of the attention, but when you did, you took that opportunity to really enjoy the moment as you stood up with some of the newsroom workers patting you on the back. jihyo and eunbi tap sana’s shoulder, perking their head as they were going back to the breakroom for more coffee as they started to walk out. sana stands by the door as the blue big screen in the editing room that captured your silhouette, her heart skipping a beat as she looks over at your figure that captured your side profile nicely even with the hat on still.
sana is a really touchy person. you easily say that she can be touch deprived at times if someone doesn’t reciprocate the same actions that she’s doing.
you didn’t mind however, since you and sana would walk together when it came to classes, bumping shoulder to shoulder, tapping on your arm if something funny happens, and even just giving or receiving hugs with each other showed the immense closeness you two shared together.
there’s that one person that you spend a significant amount of time with to know everything about them. from the way that they talk to the way that they act about certain things. maybe you and her meeting that day in english class was a gateway to a deeper connection—more than friends maybe.
maybe.
you lean back in your ergonomic chair as you stare at the editing software that was on your desktop computer, when you hear the door to your workspace open behind you as you see sana walk in with the oversized comfy hoodie that you bought at costco to use around the house. you wanted to say something about sana stealing it, but in the shared apartment with her, whatever was yours was also hers (to an extent)
“can’t sleep?” you ask sana as she continues to trudge over to you.
sana murmurs as you face her still sitting down on the chair. “you have the ac too cold here y/n.”
you scoff as you look up at sana who strips off the comfy blanket hoodie, seeing that she was wearing a simple white shirt with pink shorts that were a little too short, but this wasn’t the time to ogle at her figure as press the glasses back up to the top of your nose bridge again.
“you should go back to bed sana, i have to finish this recording edit for dino’s wife that he asked me to do.” you say raising your hand up to motion sana away from you as she completely ignores your request.
it was so sudden, but it was so normal of her to do.
she parts your arm aside as she straddles you on the chair, her legs going to the other side as she nestles her head onto your shoulder. naturally without a second thought, you rub sana’s back as she quietly whines at you before sighing out in full sleepiness.
“let me stay with you, you’re warm.”
you look at the side of her head peripherally, but you kept your mouth shut as you pat the small of her back again, your hand sliding down her waist as she didn’t want to be moved at all as you roll the chair back up with the desk before typing away on the keyboard for the next couple of minutes.
exhaling out a tired groan, you close the editing program as you wrap your arms around sana’s waist again, letting the warmth embrace settle as you shake her to wake up slightly.
“sana, i finished. you can get off me now.”
“sana?”
no answer as you feel her breath on your shoulder sound asleep.
“you were always the light sleeper.” you say as you hold sana from her butt, carrying her in the same position sitting down as you walked to the bedroom next door.
laying her down gently as she adjusted herself in the mattress and you covered her with the comforter, turning on the lamp to get a good look of her sleeping state. you stare for what seemed like forever as you see her chest rise and fall in calming breaths as you let out a quiet yawn. you stand up before you turn off the lamp on the nightstand, thinking about how sana clinged onto you back on the office chair earlier as you softly smiled at her face.
“cute.”
you then turn off the lamp and head out to knock out on the couch after.
“do you like y/n?”
the question left sana completely off guard as she swung her head around to jihyo who gave a subtle smirk at her before sana tsked at her before laughing.
“jihyo, it’s not like that i swear.”
“oh really? i’ve seen you stare at her multiple times in the last couple weeks. don’t think that i didn’t notice too.”
“we’re just friends, nothing more.”
nothing more she says, but both jihyo and sana knew that was the white lie in all of this.
jihyo leans back on the counter in the break room as she was still not convinced about sana’s answer.
“are you sure? i’m not saying anything bad but you two look good together.” jihyo says as she reaches over for a cup of water as sana pats her thighs with her hands, letting the wave of nervousness consume her for a quick second.
“i’m sure ji. besides, i don’t even know what i would do if what you’re saying is true.”
“it’s something to think about, that's for sure.” jihyo replies as sana definitely feels the flush on her face more, “you never know sana, it’s always the ones you least expe-”
“sana!” your voice breaks the conversation as she turns around to see you at the doorway, thumb pointing to the right side of you as she parts her lips, tongue tangled in her mouth as you were simply smiling.
“we have all the stuff ready in the van, we’re just waiting on you.” you say quickly before darting away from the door and down the hallway.
sana raises her hand out to you but lowers it in a small loss as she sighs out, head looking down as she punches her forehead lightly, letting the thought get away from her as jihyo notices this letting an ‘ooh’ come out as sana looks back in annoyance.
“we’re not done with this by the way.” jihyo says with a mischievous grin on her face, “we’ll be talking more about this at dinner later.”
sana sticks her tongue out at jihyo as she walks out of the breakroom as you and her were assigned to cover a simple story before packing it up for the team dinner just after shooting for dino’s small birthday celebration.
the small shoot went swiftly as expected. sana only had to do the cover story in one take outside city hall and in a quick flash with a change of cars, you two were going to be a little late to the korean bbq dinner that was at dino’s favorite restaurant.
sana is no stranger to your sleek, sporty accord as you zoomed down the highway at a speed that made it seemed you were just gliding on the road. it was really a simple task you were doing, nothing different than the other things you do back home and at work. but this is you that sana was looking at, and you were hitting differently with your one hand on the wheel and the other on the gear shift.
a song was softly blasting through the speakers as sana hears the snare of the simple lofi beat, but it was the lyrics that made the ambience in the car a lot more intimate as she hears the lyrics of a woman singing,
i get a feelin sometimes
that i can’t get close enough to you
i feel most in the nighttime
even though that’s when i’m closest to you
if could be under your skin
closer than we’ve ever been
we’d be closer than we’ve ever been, oh~
sana reads this in a little too closely as her mind begins to wander at the possibility of how you might really feel about her, but she diminishes that thought away as she looks back at you slightly bopping your head to the song under the passing street lights.
the car ride went quickly knowing the great driver that you were (sana considers a career in racing for you as a joke) as you parked perfectly at the parking lot of the restaurant and entering inside to see two round tables of grills being occupied by the newsroom workers, dino waving his hand to get you and sana’s attention as you walk towards the lively group.
the night inside the restaurant was anything short of happy vibes and unrestrained laughs. jihyo and eunbi being the mama birds they were despite being intoxicated as well, keeping a close eye on the heavyweight drinkers as you switched back and forth between conversations. sana was sitting right next to you sharing a laugh with bangchan and another fellow camera crew person with yuki.
everyone was again left in shock with the amount of shots of soju you had in your system and you were completely fine. you assured everyone that you had a pretty strong alcohol tolerance as you grabbed another bite of the pork belly that was sizzling on the grill.
sana however, was a lightweight. and it showed.
she looked completely out of it as she was uncontrollably laughing at the stupidest things, grabbing you by the shoulders as she pointed at the tv that was showing a football game that showed a player getting tackled. it didn’t make sense but as long as you were watching sana enjoy herself and being super happy, that was all that mattered.
you helped sana take off her tailored grey blazer that left her in that nicely fitted light blue dress shirt, rolling up her sleeves as she hummed giddily at the touch of your fingers on her arm. you look at her again as she had her eyes closed, rosy cheeks piercing through her fair skin as helped her drink a cup of cold water to calm her down.
the what that was emulating on sana’s face was now spreading to yours as you place a hand on your cheek, confused at this funny feeling that you were having.
sana’s mind was fuzzy at this point, but she was still conscious of the actions she still had little control over as she taps your shoulders twice to get your attention.
“yes sana?” you ask your longtime friend as you fix her hair that was in front of her face.
“you know that you’re cute y/n.” sana says to you, her speech clearly slurred from the two bottles of soju she downed.
“of course i know if it’s coming from you.”
jihyo sits at the other side of the table as she notices that you were taking care of sana, taking advantage of her state as she remembers the conversation she had with sana earlier.
“hey sana, isn’t there something that you want to tell y/n?” jihyo asks her as she looks at her with squinted eyes, darting your eyes at jihyo as you try to grasp what was going on between those two.
“oh yeah that i like her?” sana says sloppily as her head dips down. you acting fast as she almost fell over in front of you. the words didn’t register in your head as you pat sana on the thigh to wake her up again.
“sana, can you tell me that again?” you ask the tired brunette sitting across from you, “what did you talk to jihyo about?”
sana then grabs your head with both of her hands, molding your face into a duck as she hums cutely again, moving your head left and right as you just let it happen. it wouldn’t be everyday for sana to get drunk with you but it’s what happens next that sends all of the alarms in your body haywire.
she plants her lips with yours out of completely nowhere, eyes left open as sana pecks your lips for a few seconds, tasting the peach flavored alcohol on her taste buds, scooting her chair closer to you before giving another kiss to your jaw before pulling away.
“i like you y/n, i’ve been crushing on you for a while now.”
sana says cherrily as you were left in complete shock. you just stared at sana as she just sat there happily, eyes closed as she hummed to the song that was playing above in the restaurant.
it was already past midnight as you carried sana on your back exiting the restaurant as you still were conversing with dino and jihyo as sana is drowsy on top of you, buzzing her lips and humming as you stand in front of your car facing jihyo and dino.
“happy birthday again boss, hopefully your wife likes the final video i edited.” you say, lifting sana up to rest her on your back more comfortably.
“thank you y/n and i appreciate the favor with the whole video situation.” dino replies as he puts on his coat and jangles with his car keys. you eye jihyo as she looks at you and sana, nodding her head at you to reconfirm with the supposed confession sana let out to you by surprise.
“i’ll see you guys at work tomorrow?”
“you bet, drive safe y/n.” dino says as sana taps your shoulder to get off, straightening herself up as you hold her arm just so that she doesn’t fall.
“sucks that you gotta play mom mode y/n.” jihyo says to you, giving a light smirk as you roll your eyes at sana’s sleepy state again, brushing a strand of hair away from her face and behind her ear as she still had her eyes closed but still conscious as some of the alcohol she drank started to wear off.
you help sana into the car, opening the door for her and putting your hand at the roof so that she doesn’t hit her head, sitting down promptly and leaning the seat back as she takes off her shoes to get more comfortable. you then put your blazer and her’s over her as a makeshift blanket as you close the door for a few more moments.
“jihyo, was what she said back inside true?” you ask her, heart thumping at the thought as it finally settled in your mind—your best friend had a crush on you, but you were finding out about this now but maybe you also had something in regards to her and you just didn’t realize it.
“yeah.” jihyo replies, “she’ll probably freak out about this tomorrow morning when she’s hungover, but i think you know what to expect y/n.”
you parted your lips as you softly exhaled, almost relieved because you took sana’s love with so much care as a friend, you didn’t want to worry what comes next because of the notion that your heart was already hers in the first place.
sana shifts in the passenger seat as you drive on the highway, the car humming lowly on the road. sana then opens her eyes slowly at the image of you driving as you smoothly make turns heading back to your apartment. the speakers were playing the same song you had earlier but sana didn’t realize that the lyrics she heard was just the intro to the song as she hears you faintly sing along with the lofi beat.
mm, i feel most in the nighttime, yeah
me never on your timeline, yeah
see you always in the limelight
keep me rollin’ in the deep, yeah
not a tease, no joke, i do mean it
don’t cease, baby don’t, why you floatin’?
wanna lock you up my sight
but you run away like fish, yeah~
sana was fond of your nice voice when it came to singing whenever you guys hung out together doing homework or chilling out, but she was surprised that you could rap out the lyrics so seamlessly as she kept her eyes on you in the dark covered by the blazers as you continued to sing.
the next part of the song was something that you could relate to—as it was the growing crush of your best friend that you were working at the same job at with the same profession.
you look at sana and not at the road (dangerously) as she meets yours under the blazers,
i keep you right next to me
only just in my dream
i see you in red, blue, green
don’t wake me up from sleep
i think i’m losin’ my grip
everything off the beam
why you showed up in my life
like this so sudden, oh god, no~
this rap was more than a message to sana, it was a confession of the years with built up feelings to sana as she smiled under the jackets, trying to contain herself as you serenaded her swoonly.
sure you were singing at her sleeping body, kinda stupid but it was all so cute and adorable as sana’s eyes fluttered closed off to sleep again. knowing that from this point on you would be the one to carry her to bed after nights like these.

Sana sometimes complains that Jihyo is too addicted to watching something while eating and feels ignored when Jihyo is glued to her phone while Sana is next to her.
While on their recent tours both girls were trying to learn to learn some phrases from each place to use on the other.
Jihyo has already started to work on a song for her comeback dedicated to Sana.
Sometimes they think they should start a vlogging channel.
The fans found out about their relationship when they kissed on the stage in one of their concerts.
Both girls were really happy that the fans were so happy and excited about them being together.
Recently Sana has been spoiling Jihyo a lot and been taking care of her a lot.
Jihyo took Sana for Karaoke and they both enjoyed it a lot, they used to do it a lot when they were trainees but since their debut their wasn’t enough freedom or time in their hands to karaoke peacefully so doing it again was a nostalgic and refreshing experience for them.
Sana has been planning a surprise trip for Jihyo.
While Jihyo has taken a step off alcohol recently, Sana has taken a step up and it has led to some interesting moments.

Recently they both have gotten into roleplaying and have been experimenting a lot.
Sana makes it extremely difficult and distracting for Jihyo when she gets drunk by peppering her with kisses non-stop leading to Jihyo relenting and, fucking Sana till it feels like her brain is melting.
These days Sana finds it quite difficult to not make out with Jihyo constantly.
Jihyo has been more of a sub lately since Sana just keeps needing her more and more.
Sana can’t help it though, the constant touring and practicing makes her quite stressed and tired and there’s no better way to relax than using Jihyo.
Sana tried thigh riding Jihyo and she couldn’t get enough of it, and neither could Jihyo.
The rest of Twice were frankly getting a bit tired of the constant flirting between the two girls and when Mina saw them sitting peacefully, she was pleasantly surprised that they weren’t blatantly flirting or making out.
It was less pleasant for Mina when she went to join them and realized they had their hands down each other’s pants.
Jihyo wants to ride Sana too but she just can’t resist Sana riding her and hasn’t managed to do it yet.
Sana being dominant has made Jihyo feel some type of way and she wonders if that can be a bit more of a common occurrence.

nerd!momo x campus crush!sana | fluff, smut | men dni!
thank you so much for @jeongmosimp 's amazing request and idea (p.s: sorry it took so long but here it is!)
in the first week of university, momo, in her thickly rimmed glasses, goes up to the room assigned to her.
god, it hurt her ears as 'lovefool' by the cardigans was on full blast, by some shitty speaker as it was rumbling the ground with its bass.
she sighs, knocking— goes on for once, twice, until she opens the door with her left hand, sneakily going in the room.
momo finds a figure, dancing with all her heart. the girl; hair tied up nicely with a pink hair tie, in a tank top, and the shortest shorts she's ever seen. momo stands on the doorframe in utter shock, some sort of a star struck daze, perhaps, as she assumed that the woman only comes from her dreams.
the song comes to an end, and suddenly all is silent, the woman in front of momo sighs.
"AH!" the woman says in shock, finding momo and her luggage, standing just right there— hands in pockets, eyes staring right at her.
"oh, um," momo quickly reached out for the keys she was given with and dangles it in front of her face. "1129?"
sana stands still for a while, trying to recollect what she had done in the past minute that might've been embarrassing, as this was literally: "oh, roommate, right," she laughs awkwardly, as she ditches the broom to make way and accommodate her future (cute) roommate. "come right in," she says. "sorry if i..."
the other girl chuckles, "don't worry about it."
"well- um," sana leads her right in, going to the common area of the room. "your room's on the left."
"thanks," the other girl smiles. oh good heavens, how this woman saves. "um, i’m momo," she reaches out for her hand, asking for a handshake. who was sana to deny? "i study aeronautical engineering."
as if she couldn't get any better. sana takes her hand, gladly, as she flashes the woman a smile. "minatozaki sana," sana shook momo's hand. "i study psychology."
momo retracts her hand from sana's warm one, and hoped that it wouldn't be over.
"well," momo sighs. "i guess, see you later? i'll set up my stuff and i can help later cleaning the area."
sana chuckles, "oh, no, no," she refutes. "don't even bother. you just moved. take a rest after you set up your room, hm?"
momo just nods, smiling as she went into her room. it wasn't the most spacious, but it had a full sized bed, surprisingly new, and the windows were shining a light directly to the tables and the bed. there were a couple of shelves, a sizable closet, and it was perfect, as momo can put it.
she's in it for a good and long time.
for the first few days, momo was literally stuck on doing things inside of the room.
“hey,” mina greets from outside of their dorm door. “no roommate yet?”
“uh, no,” sana chuckles as she lets her friend in the common area. “she actually moved two or three days ago? i'm not really sure,” sana pauses for a little while to recollect her memory. “but yeah, she's a sweetheart. she's just quite shy.”
momo, half awake and half asleep, goes to the bathroom, not minding to pass by sana and mina.
“see,” sana chuckles at the sight of her. “she's just…”
“yeah,” mina inched closer to sana, whispering— “you like her.”
mina received a huge laugh and a playful slap from sana. “don't be silly,” sana says. “i’ve only known her for three days.”
those days turned into a week, a month, and two months.
it was midterms week, momo's extra extra stressed finishing her midterm plates and equations on the dining table. sana just came home from her last night class, and sighs as she goes in, her body being consumed by the warmth of the dorm.
she smiles at the sight of momo, focused, eyebrows clinched together in the middle as she's so careful in making that line with her ruler. after she finishes that line, sana says, “hey.” that shocked momo, and she's just glad that she got her micron pen out of the way of her plate. “busy night?” sana asked.
“yeah,” momo chuckles. “sorry i have my things all over the table,” momo comes up to fix the other side of the table, leaving some room for sana. she knows that sana would also study at the same space, for some reason she doesn't know. a change of scenery, she guesses. “just finished your classes?”
sana hums as she takes out her books from her bag. “finished my first midterms test,” she says. “you?”
“oh, well,” momo just sighs as she continues on her plate. “this,” she says, pointing to the one she's doing, “and this,” she points to the one on her left. “and this.” she points to the one on her right. “quite a handful, but i’ll finish them soon.”
“don't rush it,” sana smiles. “i know you'll do just fine. or better, you'll do great.”
momo asks “why'd you say so?”
“you're working hard for it, momo,” sana says. “plus, i always find you like this, you know? i feel like we never really talked because you're always so focused. not that it's a bad thing, but i just really wanna know my roommate.”
momo just nods, “what do you wanna know then, sana?”
“dunno,” sana chuckles as she opens her textbook. “what's your favorite color?”
momo smiles as she draws another line on her intricate plate. “purple. yours?”
“pink.” sana smiles. “why'd you study aeronautics?”
“i like planes,” momo chuckles. “my dad used to take me to the airstrip and wondered how they could do that, so, i ended up here. what about you, sana?”
“oh, um,” sana hesitates to answer. “it’s just an interest of mine.”
“really?”
“yeah, but,” sana sighs. “it’s a family thing. my mom's a general surgeon, and my dad is an optometrist, and naturally they want their kid to be like them as well. i don't hate psychology, it was something i liked too, but it's just that…”
“you forced yourself to like it?” momo asked.
“kinda like that,” sana sighs. “but en-”
“what do you really want to be?”
“kindergarten teacher,” sana says, flipping her book to the next page. “or a writer, something like that.”
they fall into silence for a few seconds, as momo started to get concentrated on the line she was drawing.
“did you eat already, sana?” momo suddenly asks.
“um- oh, not yet, actually.”
momo then stands up, gets two cups of ramen, heats the water, and sits by the kitchen counter, waiting for the water to boil.
sana just lets herself admire momo for a minute— hair tied up neatly in a bun, thick black rimmed glasses, and in her hello kitty pajamas, sana swears she never saw a person look that good.
in her head, sana giggles at the sight, but she fawns away the moment momo looks at her.
sana, under the dim dinner light, concentrated on her notes. momo can't help but stare at the woman just in front of her, the woman who shares her dorm with, the woman whom she wishes to do gestures for.
the water kettle clicks to a finish, and momo reaches for it, pouring generously on both cups.
“do you like your ramen spicy, sana?” momo asks, arguing whether she'd put more seasoning on sana's cup.
she sees sana nod, smiling at her. cute. momo shrugs at the thought and just finishes hers and sana's cup of ramen.
she puts sana's ramen just beside the book she was reading, “eat up,” momo says. “you wouldn't be able to remember anything if you don't have energy.”
“thanks,” sana smiles. “this is perfect, thank you.”
“no worries.” momo eats hers on the kitchen counter, afraid to spill on some of her hard work on engineering plates.
their questions go over and over the whole night, keeping both their mouths and brains busy. sana's afraid that she could only remember momo; who has two dogs, but has four family dogs, likes to dance, secretly likes natto, makes a really good cup of instant ramen, likes aloe yogurt, and watches the korean tv show the penthouse.
momo wakes up to a fridge filled with a pack of aloe yogurt with a note: thanks for the ramen last night, i’ll make sure to ace my exams, momo!
oh, such sweetness.
“what do you mean you're roommates with minatozaki sana?” jeongyeon yoo asks, quite the ramble as she was also munching away her lunch.
“um.. yeah?” momo casually answers.
“you're such a lucky person.” jeongyeon sighs.
“what for?” momo chuckles. “i mean, it's just sana.”
“what do you mean that it's just sana?!” jeongyeon exclaimed. “dude. half of the school population literally wants her despite her being just a freshman. that itself is crazy.”
“no, i mean-” momo cuts herself off at the realization. “she's nice, she studies with me, and we get along well…”
“yeah, that's sana,” jeongyeon smiles. “kind, nice, sunshine and all.”
“how'd you know?” momo asks curiously.
“girlfriend's best friend,” jeongyeon chuckles. “it's not that hard to find people if you go around, you know,” she nudges at momo. “and before you say it, no, going around is not going to different libraries. the uni’s big. it literally has like 14 streets you could visit, just go and have a little fun.”
“you know i don't do ‘fun,’ jeongyeon.” momo rolled her eyes.
“you can,” jeongyeon chuckled. “you just need a little party for you to do ‘fun.’”
sana's fun wasn't what jeongyeon was talking about.
“momo?” sana knocks on her door, and momo removes her earphones to hum loudly. “can you come out? i need a little help wi-”
“hey,” momo opens her door, adjusting her glasses. “what is it?”
they both walk to the living room, with a projector laying just on top of their coffee table.
“oh,” momo takes a look at it, and she wonders, “where'd you get this from?”
“there was a yard sale,” sana scratches her nape as she just watched momo set it up. “just a few blocks away from here, and it was ten dollars! ten! dollars!”
momo laughs, getting it to work, wiping down the lens with her hoodie, “that's a fucking steal,” she says, and the lens fires up the initial blue screen. “and it's great, look.” she points to the broken display, as it shoots to different places. “but we can't set it up here.” momo pouts, finding a good place to point the projector to.
“wanna do it in my room?” sana smirks, like having an ulterior motive, jokingly, of course.
momo stares at her, laughing, “if you say so.”
a few fixes and ‘careful’s from sana later, momo has set up the projector in sana's room.
“there,” momo sighs, sitting down as she hands sana the hdmi cable. “just plug this in somewhere and it should work.”
sana takes it, and plugs it to her laptop, “whoa!” sana's eyes sparkled at the simple projection of her screen to her wall. “it's big.”
“well, yeah,” momo grunts, standing up to go back to her room. “just call me if you need h-”
“momo,” sana calls out. “what's your favorite movie?”
“um,” momo's hand was gripping sana's door knob, wanting to stay, but also wanting to get out. “monsters inc?”
sana laughs, looking at momo, “okay then,” she searches it up, “come,” she chuckles, patting the spot beside her. “if you have free time, stay.”
momo smiles as she takes the spot beside sana, hesitant, so she leaves a little space as sana searches for the movie.
momo observes— the delicate flow of sana's hair down to her shoulders, the curve of her upper lips, the ridge of her nose holding her eyeglasses (momo figured that sana uses contacts in uni), the little cleft of her chin, and momo has never seen such a sight: one that she wants to consume her, wholly and fully.
momo snaps out of her daze when sana shifts closer to her, and the movie starts with the familiar disney film intro.
it became a usual thing. every saturday, sana and momo spend their time cooped up in sana's bed, watching some movie, every week alternating from sana's favorites, to momo's favorites, and so on.
i mean, momo couldn't miss out on a good movie, and sana just wants to put the projector in use, so it's definitely a win for the both of them.
but sana definitely thinks it's a win: she hears momo blabber about things when they watched interstellar, it left her in awe that she couldn't explain. momo's just so soft, and she just wants to launch herself at her fluff to listen to her talk about interdimensional places. she wants movie night to be forever, so that she could listen to momo, again and again, until they end up in her blankets, cooped up into a ball as they hug each other.
momo doesn't admit to herself that she likes to cuddle with sana. she tells herself that she doesn't like the way sana presses her head on her chest, the way sana mumbles different words on her sleep (sometimes even her name), and the way that sana pulls her closer, holding tight at the back of her clothes. but in her sleep, momo wraps her arms around sana, enveloping her to a warm hug, that sana ends up sleeping on her chest, and her head on top of her hair.
but she doesn't flinch, she doesn't falter, and she just lets it happen— the warmth, the light brush of their pajamas on each other, the smell of sana's blankets, and she realizes, she wants to lock them in this pocket of time, the quiet, the calm, and something momo can't put a word for just yet.
sana always wakes up first, trying to get a sight of momo, tracing her eyebrows, caressing her cheek, running a finger on her nose bridge to its center; sana thinks it's fucking stupid, for all she is, she's just momo's roommate and they just watch movies every saturday, that's why they end up like this. sana pretends to fall asleep to wake up to momo's pancakes, and sana smiles about something she can't put a name on just yet.
momo, as intelligent as she is, is shit at parties.
she doesn't know how to play beer pong, she can't command a dare, and she can't handle shit. well, “holy fuck,” jeongyeon says, herding a half-sober, half-drunk momo from one of the couches. “you're smashed. what did you do?”
“jeongyeon!” she exclaimed, almost kissing the woman who falters away from her touch. she pouts. “jeongyeon..”
“what the hell happened to you?”
“dunno,” momo laughs, drunk. “made me drink a lot with something that was definitely! not! beer! but to be honest, it was so good…”
jeongyeon fixes momo's eyeglasses, “is sana here?”
“dunno either!” momo laughs once more. “been finding her the whole night, too.”
momo's damned because her head hurts, and she doesn't know where to find her dorm key, she's so fucked when she tells sana she lost it.
“fuck,” momo slurs. “i need sana…”
“‘kay, damn,” jeongyeon says, getting her phone out to call her girlfriend, mina. “hey, honey,” she says over the phone. “momo's finding sana. where is she?”
“got home, i guess, honey,” mina says. “haven't found her the whole night either.”
“hmm, okay,” jeongyeon says. “ok, i’ll hang now. meet you later. love you, honey!”
mina chuckles over the phone, “love you too! be careful!”
“okay,” jeongyeon puts back her phone on her jean pocket, “she's not here. what if you try calling her?”
“i tried, ‘kay? she just isn't fucking answering…” momo slurs, taking another red cup of spiked coke, probably has something in it. “it's getting a little frustrating.”
“shh.” jeongyeon says, rubbing a hand on momo's back. “there you go.” she points at the east, somewhere on the stairs, where she sees sana go down with a couple of other girls. something in momo's stomach was bubbling, and she's sure that it's not acid reflux from the alcohol she's consuming.
momo makes a run for it, tapping sana's shoulder, “hey,” she says, mentally patting herself on the back for trying her best not to fall down the ground. “um, i just want to,” momo was lost in her train of thought as sana stares at her, her eyes, brown, glistening under the varying party lights, and the sound drowns, it fades, and “oh, yeah, the- um- dorm key. i kinda lost it. or i don't know, i-”
sana pulls her by the hand, going outside the party, almost slipping on the floor. “hey!” she says, panting, as they reach the end of a street. “what the hell?”
“you're fucking drunk,” sana holds her by the cheeks, checking all of her facial features that screams: i'm drunk, let's go home and let me kiss you! “what did you do, momo?”
“i lost,” momo chuckles. “by like… a lot! they made me chug down half a bottle of soju, sana. but you know, it's better than kissing someone else! i mean, apart from the fact that you could get this drunk,” momo chuckles again, now looking at her shoes. “so um, the dorm key?”
sana pulls momo closer by her jacket, running her hand to the inner pocket of it, opening one by the zipper on the left chest of it, and sana pulls, “here,” she hands momo the key. “you really wanna go home without me?”
“yeah,” momo says. honest, abrupt, and sure. “but i don't want to go home without you just yet.”
“great,” sana chuckles, and pulls her by the hand once more, going to her car. “i don't want to put you to bed so drunk. sober up with me.”
“hm, ‘kay,” momo carefully gets inside sana's car. they drive off to a highway, and momo can't make anything up because of the stupid headache, the lights, and sana. “oh, sana,” she suddenly blurts out, in all her drunkenness. “did you do the dares too? the kissing stuff.”
“oh, i don't lose like that,” sana laughs. “if you're worried about me kissing anyone, don't be. i’d rather be kissing someone else. how about you?”
“did everything but the kissing,” momo smiles at her. “i feel a little stupid when it comes to that part. i haven't had any kisses ye-”
“wanna try?” sana suddenly asks, finally stopping in front of a taco bell. she's just thankful that it's still open, but she's anticipating momo's answer.
“well, if it doesn't hurt,” momo inches closer to her, letting sana cup her cheek once more. “if it's you, then, g-”
sana captures her lips in a kiss, sweet, one tasting of strawberry, gin, soju, and some other punch flavor. momo thinks, feels, that it was nice: sana's lips were so soft against hers, and she can't help but pull her closer, holding her by the waist, just letting sana melt into her mouth.
they pull away, breathless, momo felt restless when sana pulled away.
“you're a fucking natural,” sana taps her shoulders. “c’mon, you need to have something warm or else you'd wake up with a bad headache.”
“i kinda want another one,” momo laughs, but sana's already cupping her cheek, pulling her closer to her breath, and momo latches onto her softness like she'd never felt before: like the sky on new year's eve, or a flying jet, just gliding through the highest of heights, one she knew she couldn't reach. “fuck,” momo sighs after the kiss, pulling away from sana as she smiles. “you're um-,” momo pauses as she goes down sana's car. “a good kisser. you're a good kisser, sana.”
“yeah,” sana wraps an arm on her shoulders, guiding her to the entrance of some taco bell. “and you're shit faced drunk.”
“yeah…” momo sighs, seeking comfort in sana's neck as she leans. “i hope i won't forget this.”
momo doesn't forget it. and fuck, the headache really came crashing into her.
“pick up,” momo nervously taps with her shoes, just outside the lecture hall. “jeongyeon!” she says over the phone, relief of confiding in someone.
“what the hell,” jeongyeon grunts over the phone. “what happened, momo?”
“i- um-,” momo sighs. “well you missed the first class, but yeah, um- can you meet me at the library later? there's something i need to tell and y-”
“yeah, yeah,” jeongyeon sighs. “you were drunk and did stupid shit… is it the first time you got drunk, momo?”
“no,” momo says. half lying, she did get drunk before (she guesses) “but it's the first time i got drunk and…”
“it's sana, isn't it?” jeongyeon laughs.
“yeah,” momo sighs. “but i need you to talk with me, okay? i can’t get this shit together.”
sana wakes up, tucked into her bed, with a hoodie and some sweatpants on, totally different from what she wore last night.
she also has a headache, one that can rip the center of her brain out. god, she remembers last night that she could have an exam about it and get an a+.
she looks at her nightstand, which has a note with a glass of water and hangover medicine: hey, sana, i changed you into your clothes (don't worry i didn't see you naked, plus, i was also fucking smashed even after taco bell) breakfast is on the table, and take the medicine after eating. hope you have a good day. — momo.
sana laughs. oh god, she's just so sweet: she made pancakes, some bacon, and didn't forget the syrup on the side.
if there's one thing sana wishes, for this to be a perfect morning, is that momo is beside her, also having the same breakfast, overspreading butter on her pancakes, taking a bite of it, as she holds her hand beneath the table.
she takes out her phone, calls her best friend, “mina, i think i'm liking momo a little too much. is it bad?”
“you're so down bad,” jeongyeon giggles as she takes a sip of her boba (definitely sponsored by momo). “just kiss her again, i guess.”
“the hell?” momo says. “i can’t just come up to her and kiss her. i mean, i'm not even sure if she likes me. she let me kiss her probably because she pities me since i haven't got my first kiss.”
jeongyeon laughs, “sana's not that dumb, momo. for all i know, sana's fucking smart. she's a president's lister.”
“yeah, i know that part,” momo sighs. “but you know, maybe she really just… was a good friend to me that she let me kiss her.”
“for a genius,” jeongyeon fixes momo's eyeglasses. “you're so damn stupid that it hurts me. you're also my friend. did i let you kiss me knowing that you're a full ass virgin? hell fucking no!”
“why do you have to be so loud,” momo half-screams, half-whispers. “but sana's nicer than you. she's the type to be nice enough to pity someone without a first kiss.”
“for fucks sake,” jeongyeon holds both momo's shoulders. “you're in love with sana. sana likes you around. sana likes you. hell, sana even loves you that much. trust me, ‘kay?”
“okay,” momo sighs. “so how do i tell her…”
instead of having a saturday movie night, momo invites sana to a restaurant downtown, somewhere a little far from their university. before being there, momo got into a panic: arguing with herself whether she'd keep her glasses or finally break in her contacts, well, she did the contacts instead, along with a dress shirt, carefully tucked inside her dress pants, and a blazer. well, it wasn't like she was going to work, but she just wanted to be at least presentable.
sana comes two minutes after their arranged time, in a black dress, hair nicely straightened out. momo has seen sana for so many times already, but she's never not left in awe.
sana chuckles, “hi,” she greets as momo pulls the other chair for her. “oh, thanks,” momo lets her sit down before coming back to her side. “sorry if i was late.”
“no worries,” momo says. “go order, it's my treat.”
“no way,” sana chuckles as she looks at the menu. “it's a date. we should split the bill.”
momo pauses. it's already a date? “well,” momo giggles as she looks through the menu. “if you say so.”
momo orders for the both of them, and their food arrives shortly after.
until then, sana breaks the silence, “so,” sana says as she turns her fork to eat her pasta. “why'd you ask me on a date, momo?”
momo sighs, well, it's good that she should know, “i-um,” momo pauses as she thinks of how she can say, “well, i figured out a couple of things on my own, and found out that i like you.”
sana laughs, “i like you too,” she says, looking into momo's eyes, sparkling, bright, under the dim light of the restaurant: sana has never seen such a sight, one full of adoration, a reciprocated feeling and something very sure. “i guess i liked you since you came into the room.”
“oh,” momo laughs in relief. “what? wait… since i went inside our dorm?”
“yeah,” sana says. “i mean, what's not to like about you? you're smart, you're cute, you're caring, so…”
“oh, sana,” momo chuckles, holding sana's hand that was on the table, fiddling with it. “i guess we should just take it slow. we have all the time in the world.”
sana likes that it's just them: momo's little blabber about planes, sana's little touches on momo's hand, momo's glances that shows all of her feelings, and it all falls down into place as it is just the two of them, momo and sana.
they go home after a couple of drinks, not drunk, just buzzed, and momo held sana's hand the whole time as they drove to their dorm.
as soon as they arrive, sana pulls momo in a deep, sweet kiss.
“hey,” momo giggled as they pulled away. “shoes, baby.”
“oh, right.” sana blushes, both from the fact that she's so excited to kiss momo, and from the nickname momo has said. they go into their dorm, shoes off, hand in hand, and momo pulls her back for a kiss, leading sana to her room.
in a heated pace, sana clasps and removes momo's blazer, dropping it on her floor. sana trails her kisses to momo's jaw, to the crevices of her exposed collarbone as she slowly unbuttons momo's dress shirt, slow but wanting as momo leans to her, moaning like asking more.
“sana,” momo says in barred breaths. “fuck, how do i say this,” momo sighs as she guides sana to her bed. “i- um- have a-”
sana laughs, tracing her hand on her clothed thigh. “i know,” she whispered. “i know that, baby.”
sana starts to palm momo's hard on, printing on her trousers.
“i can’t help but notice,” sana says, still moving her hands up and down momo's erection. “you're so big,” sana chuckles lowly as she ghosts her fingers on the button of momo's trousers. “you don't think i don't stare at you when you have those sweatpants on, baby? you don't think that i can’t hear you when you jerk off?”
“fuck,” momo moans out, as sana removes her pants along with her boxers, and her length springs out to meet her abs. “sana…”
“so big,” sana glides her finger on the tip, collecting momo's precum. “it can't wait to fill me up, hm?”
momo squirms, something unfamiliar brews in her stomach, a want, a need, something sana can only bring out, and she pulls sana to lock with her lips once more, as she pumps her hand on momo's length.
“so needy,” sana laughs as they pull away from each other, but she keeps a steady pace on momo's length. “undress me.”
momo doesn't need another word, and immediately goes to sana's back to remove the zipper of her dress, latching her mouth with hers, sloppily inserting her tongue to touch sana's, tasting her fully, as sana rises above her, straddling her abdomen with need.
“you're so fucking hot,” momo moans out, unclasping sana's delicate black lace bra. “mmh.” she hums, latching on sana's hardened nipple as she kneads on the other nub.
sana's hands flung to momo's hair, holding a certain grip, making momo suck on her tits further. sana makes momo pull away, and momo breathes heavily.
“momo, please,” sana whines at the pressure building between her thighs, seeping to momo's abdomen. “i‘ve been so wet,” she says. “please.”
“fuck,” momo hooks her fingers underneath the waistband of sana's panties and helps her remove it, the wetness of her pussy now directly on her stomach. sana lowers, her wetness gliding on momo's cock, coating every ridge, every vein, as she helps momo enter inside her sopping, tight hole. “so fucking tight.” momo grunts, holding onto sana's waist as she bounced, up and down, taking the pace slow, wanting to take momo's inches carefully.
momo then sits up, holding sana closer to her, as she sinks on her length, moaning at the stretch. momo pulls sana once more into a kiss, one that was slow, “take your time, darling,” she whispers. “we have all night.”
sana smiles, bouncing up and down on momo, using her shoulders as her leverage.
“fuck,” momo grunts as she pushes sana down, her hole clenching. momo flips them over, not pulling out of sana, and she carefully gets sana into fours. she kisses the delicate skin of sana's back as she thrusted, holding onto her waist tightly, pushing into the deepest parts of her and sana arches, letting momo use her. “g’nna cum, baby?” momo's pace inside becomes faster as she leans into sana, her hand travelling to her clit to circle it. sana clenches on momo's length and momo lets out a grunt, pushing inside sana's tightness.
“more, ah,” sana thrusts back on momo's pace. “inside me, please.”
“mmh,” momo lightly slaps sana's ass as their skin touches. “such a good little slut for me.”
sana smirks, as she also tightens around momo's length, coming without warning.
momo holds onto her, going in and out at such a crazy pace that made sana's eyes roll back on her eyelids. momo's seed spurts inside of sana's walls, coating every side of it, and she pulls out, quite spent, as she lays sana down slowly.
she places one last kiss on sana's pussy, lapping up the remaining juices, careful to not overstimulate her. she goes up to see sana, her arms opened, ready for momo to succumb to.
momo sighs, looking at sana “sorry, i-”
“no, momo, i told you to… so it's okay,” sana chuckles, fixing momo's hair. “plus, i'm on the pill.”
“m’kay,” momo smiles as she closes her eyes, being fully consumed by sana's afterglow. “oh fuck.” momo suddenly sits up, sprinting to her bathroom, removing her contact lenses.
sana chuckles as she follows momo shortly after, “everything alright, darling?”
“yeah,” momo says, putting the contact lenses on their case. “just the contact lenses, i forgot that i have them today,” momo laughs. “do you need anything? like hoodies or something… it's quite cold here.”
“i need a you, kinda,” sana jokes. “but yeah, your hoodie would be great.”
momo smiled as she went outside the bathroom, pulling a fresh hoodie from her closet. “here,” momo giggled, helping sana pull it over on herself. “warm enough?”
“not quite,” sana pulls momo to the bed, hugging her tightly, as she kissed momo's forehead. “you're just too damn cute.”
“no, you're even cuter,” momo chuckles as she looks up at sana. “but you know, we kinda need to brush our teeths first before sleeping…”
“god, you're also toothbrush police,” sana jokingly rolls her eyes as they went to the bathroom once more, and momo reaches out for a spare toothbrush. “i could've just gotten my toothbrush from my r-”
“no,” momo held her hand as she brushed her teeth with the other. “your room's too far.”
“so dramatic too,” sana laughs as she puts some toothpaste on her new toothbrush. “my room is literally twelve steps away from yours.”
momo shrugs it off and says, “still far.”
that's how they end up on momo's bed, curled up into each other, in this little pocket of space and time.
momo looks up at her familiar empty ceiling as sana lays her head on momo's chest.
“you know,” sana looks up at momo. “i really like it when you sleep with me in my bed.”
“i’ll do you one better,” momo shifts, looking deeply into the pool of sana's honey brown eyes in the moonlight seeping through momo's windows. “i like it better when you sleep on my bed.”
“yeah, really?” sana chuckles. “wanna bet on who has the comfier bed?”
“oh, it'll be mine, baby,” momo giggles and pulls sana by the waist as they lay on their sides. “i have way more pillows than you do. plus,” she pulls out a big pompompurin plush toy behind her. “i have a little friend.”
“that’s just cheating,” sana pouts. “okay, you win, you do have the better bed.”
“hm, i’d still beg to argue.” momo says. “if i got you in any bed, i think i’d be able to sleep fine.”
“why?”
“don't you think i can't feel what you do to me in my sleep?”
sana was stunned. “h-how…?”
“i'm never a heavy sleeper, darling,” momo says. “and you've taught me to be so that i could feel how you touch my face when i sleep. and you mumble my name in yours, how cute.”
sana was blushing, unable to speak, now that her biggest guilty pleasure was known.
“you can do that to me now, while i'm still awake,” momo chuckles. “i think i’d like that if you'd do it forever.”
"if you say so," sana pulls momo closer, letting momo now lay on her chest. she puts a hand on her cheek, brushing it on the soft skin, feeling the warmth of momo's face against her cold hands. "god," sana chuckles as she runs her finger across momo's eyebrow, and she sees momo giggle, teeth out, as she looks at her: full of spark, one that can compete with how the sun shines. "you really know how to make me melt, don't you?"

Chapter 225
1740 Words
(Sana has been interested in making one of her early childhood dreams come true. As a reward she gives you a memorable moment.)
Ever since you and Sana went to the construction site and took a tour of the house, she’s been a bit more happier than usual. She goes to your office in the mornings when you call on the progress of the house and eagerly listens to them. You even asked her if she wanted a copy of the plot and house layout since she would constantly look at yours.
Obviously, she agreed, and you got her a set. She would often ask you questions whenever she had a hard time understanding something. You were more than happy to help her out and keep her busy. Surprisingly, she picked up what you taught her quickly and even asked if it was possible to build something else on the property.
“What did you have in mind?”
“Don’t laugh, okay?”
“I won’t, I promise.”
“I want to build a daycare.”
You see the seriousness in her eyes and ask, “Why do you want to build one?”
“Well… growing up, I always wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. Obviously, that didn’t happen, but after talking to Chaeyoung’s mom, she told me she used to work at a daycare after her children got a bit older. She told me about help experience, and it seems like having one would be great.”
You’re surprised by their conversation and didn’t know that Sana felt that way. It’s true that having daycare or kindergarten would be easier for members once the children get older. It’s even more important now after the experience that Sana went through; you can’t imagine what would occur if the public found out about the existence of your children.
“You’re right. Maybe having one is a good idea. How about we talk to the rest of the members?”
Sana giggles and says, “I already talked to them, and they said yes.”
“Haha, so it wasn’t much asking me but just telling me to build one.”
“Yes.”
“Okay, did you have anything in mind?”
The two of you spend most of the morning going over where the daycare would be and how big. You drew multiple sketches and drawings of what the building could have, such as a room for infants, two- to three-year-olds, four- to five-year-olds, and a kitchen. Sana mentioned that having a nice kitchen with homemade meals, a teacher's lounge, and a large playground would be nice for the kids. It took a while until the two of you could finalize the number of rooms and if having the infants separated from the rest was best or if having them in a detached building was better.
“What about the teachers?” you asked.
“Well, Chaeyoung’s mom said she would like to be one of the infant teachers, and Jihyo’s mom said they were more than willing to help. Mina mentioned it to her mom and said she would be willing to move and help with the twins. I wanted to ask my mom, but I don’t want to mention anything about kids until I’m better.”
You pull her in for a hug and hold her tight as she closes her eyes and relaxes. Once she’s a bit better, you both continue and decide where to place the build. “How about here? It’s away from the house, and we can have a nice playground.”
Sana looks around at the layout of the plot and agrees that having it away from the house would be best. “I remember my mom taking me to kindergarten on her bike. Maybe we can do the same,” she said, laughing as she tried to remember her childhood moments.
“That seems like fun. I’ll try to see if it's possible to build it. I’ll try to get it started as soon as possible if we can.”
Sana stands up from her chair and kisses you on the cheek, “Thank you!” she skips out of your office and goes off to see the children.
—————
A few days pass, and you come back from talking with the developers. Everything was approved, and I wanted to surprise Sana with the news. You walk to the living room and see her sleeping on the couch with Ari on her stomach.
“Sana, wake up.”
She rubs her eyes and turns towards you, “No, let me sleep.”
“Come on, you need to head upstairs.”
“I don’t want to, I’m…I’m going to sleep here” and turns over.
You slowly pick up Ari, holding her in your arms, and walk her upstairs to Chae’s mom. You knock and see Chae’s mom changing Hina. “Aww, she fell asleep. You can place her here,” she said as she pointed at the bed.
You kiss both Ari and Hina on the forehead before saying thanks and heading out to the living room. “Thank you.”
Now, in front of Sana, you nudge her arm, trying to wake her up, but it’s no use. “Alight, I guess it will be getting my workout for tonight.” You place your hand at each end and pick up Sana. Surprisingly, she doesn’t weigh much at all, and you can easily carry her to your room. You place her on the bed and ask, “Sana, did you wash your teeth?”
Still sleeping she mumbles, “Nee…” and tuck her in and give her a kiss.
You’re woken up to freezing cold hands rubbing against your thighs, “Good morning, Sana.” You turn around and see Sana with a smile, “Good morning, baby.” You chuckle when she goes up your inner thigh and into your shorts, “Wait, what are you doing?”
“Just wanted to say thanks.”
“What do you mean?”
“Sorry, but I heard your phone go off and saw that it was from a girl, so I am just a bit jealous. I read the text and saw that the permits and layout were approved. Said that you were going to have a meeting with the developers.” You see the light shine in her eyes by the news.
Suddenly, you feel the cold sensation in your private regions and say, “Wait, what are you doing?”
“I just want to say thanks. I know it’s not much, but I hope you like it.”
You feel her ice-cold fingers grab your limp cock and groan, “Ahh… fuck… it’s cold.” Still having the bedcovers, you can only imagine what is going on as you feel swaying your cock back and forth. Little by little, it slowly gets hard, “Are you ready?”
“Yeah…”
“Tell me if it feels good, okay.”
“Okay…”
With her thumb and index finger around the tip of your cock she slowly peels your foreskin back until your mushroom tip pops out. Now hardened, she pulls her hand back out and spits on her hand before going back down. She teases you by gently rubbing the tip of your cock with her wet fingers, making you moan from how sensitive it is.
“Do you like that, babe?”
“Yeah, I do.”
She then grabs your shaft and slowly begins to stroke your cock. Sana kisses your chest, causing your cock to twitch. She increases the pace of her stroking, squeezing, and tilting it up. This causes your cock to throb and Sana to simile by your moaning.
“Do you like that baby? Me stroking your big cock with my small fingers?”
“I do… I love it.”
She strokes it even faster and faster, as well as tightening the grip of her hand, “How bad do you want to cum?”
“I want to cum, I haven’t done it in a while.”
“Where do you want to cum?”
“Fuck… I don’t know, I just want to cum…”
“Want to paint my face white?”
Sana begins to giggle when she sees your cock react to her words of painting her face with cum. She flips the bedsheet over, revealing your throbbing cock, and crawls out of bed. She gets on her knees right in front of the bed. You get off the bed and stand right in front of her, stroking your cock with a firm grip.
She looks directly into your eyes as she sees that you’re about to reach your peak. “Cum for me, baby; cover my pretty face in your thick cum.”
You’re reaching your peak and can feel all your energy concentrating down in your core. “Fuck… I’m cumming! In one hard stroke, you watch as a rope of white hot cum flies and covers Sana’s. Her eyes are closed as it paints her eyebrows, nose, whole mouth, and small breasts.
“It’s so hot! You must have been so backed up, baby.”
“I was, but it was worth it,” you say as you look at the work of art you just made, using Sana’s body as your canvas.
She collects as much cum as she can with her tongue before showing you the amount of cum you shot in her mouth. She gargles you cum side to side and swallows it, then sticks out her tongue, showing you that it’s gone.
“Thank you for the breakfast, babe.”
She stands up, grabs her phone, and poses in front of her mirror, taking a photo of her upper body covered in your baby batter.
“How about joining me for a shower?”
“I’d love to.”
You smack her ass, making her giggle until you hear a pair of loud footsteps running across the hallway.
“Apa!! Apa!”
Both of your faces are horrified as the steps get louder. “I’m going to the shower; I don’t want the kids to see me like this!”
You quickly grab your bathrobe and the bathroom as Jisoo knocks on the door. Chaeyoung’s mom opened the door, and the two sisters yelled, “Apa??” They tilt their head and are surprised not to see you in your room but then hear the water running in the bathroom. “It seems like your daddy is taking a shower. How about we come back later and say good morning to him?” They both nodded their heads and ran out of the room.
Chaeyoung’s mom was about to close the door when she noticed small stains that led from the bed to the bathroom. She walks towards it, sees the clear substance, and smiles before heading back and closing the door, “What a time to be young.”
