Hiya Luce! Yep i’m still accepting requests for the salty ask game, and I apologize this took me a bit, I kind of went on a rant for number 19! Also I answered two of these for Black Clover and two for FFVII! I hope you enjoy!

4 Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?*

I’ve answered this a couple of times for BC already and I don’t feel like repeating myself again so I’m going with FFVII this time 😆; and my biggest NoTP is Cloud x Aerith, and yes they are a very popular OTP 😅. I just really like them as friends, family, or platonic soulmates whose love is different then that of romantic partners love! Also right behind that is Zack x Tifa and thats because it feels like people are just “pairing the spares” 😔.

(As I always say; if you ship these ships then good for you, and I fully support you in loving these ships!)

9 Most disliked character(s)? Why?

Hmm…in Black Clover? I guess aside from the usual suspects (Sekke, Auggie, Alecdora, etc) it would have to be; Jester, Sally, and Damnatio.

Jester…I like him in fanon, but dislike him in canon. In canon he’s annoying to me and not in a fun and “gremlin” way like in fanon (or at least, in mine and my mutuals fanon 😆). I really just didn’t vibe with him in the movie and couldn’t wait for him to disappear 😔.

Sally is also more of a “i don’t vibe with them”. She’s just very…extra? But not in a good way. And imo she takes things too far and comes off as annoying like Jester. I’ve tried to like her, i really have, but she just doesn’t vibe with me at all.

Damnatio is amazing in fanon! But in canon? He comes across as a bit…boring when compared to other characters in the series, at least to me. Maybe it’s intentional on Tabs part, or maybe its because we don’t see him very much, but to me he is very blah and uninteresting as a character (even tho his magic is kind of cool)!

12 Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

Hmm…I guess the Devil Believer arc in BC? Thats really the only unpopular arc i can think of 😅. To me the concepts and ideas it introduces are interesting (such as showing us what happened on the ground during the elf invasion, showing us directly how those with very low mana are treated in the country, etc;) even tho they weren’t executed very well. I feel like that arc had/has a lot of potential in it, so I do enjoy it despite its many…many, many faults!

19 What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom?

Since there isn’t anything in the BC fandom that I hate, I’ll go with another fandom that I lurk in which is FFVII! The thing I hate most about it is the toxicity, ship wars, and character hate!

My poor mutuals have had to hear me complain about it many times recently, but its just…so freaking bad rn! I’m trying to find cute art, fics, and headcanons but instead all I see are people arguing about song lyrics, words and meanings and context in scenes, and even going as far as to threaten and argue with the writers and developers of the game (hell and even some going as far as to argue and threaten streamers and gamers over their freaking fan theories)😭! Like I get it, this happens in every big fandom, but maybe its because I’ve been in a small one for so long…but this is just a bit much and kind of took a lot of the joy I had for the game away (There is a lot of good and fun in the fandom too, its just a little harder to find these days)!

And the ship wars are just, really, really terrible (it doesn’t help that they’ve been going on for nearly 30 years!)! Again, I understand this is in every big fandom with a bunch of popular ships, but really is it that hard to scroll past or block and ignore 😭?? I just don’t see the point in arguing about them; you like what you like, i like what I like, and let’s just agree to disagree! This is another one of those “I’ve been in a small fandom too long” because most of the mutuals and people I follow either scroll past when they see a ship they don’t like, or they go “I may not like it, but I see how much you do, and I support you in that!”.

The character hate…*sigh* again, I get it and I know not everyone is going to like the same characters…but there comes a point where its too much! When you have to mischaracterize them completely, or point to scenes that the writers have gone back and changed/retconned/removed in order to “prove how much of a terrible character they are”, or you have to focus on this one “terrible thing” that particular character did while ignoring the terrible things that other characters did…just shows me that you’re willing to make up whatever you want in order to excuse your useless hate for that character! (You can literally just go; “eh I don’t vibe with them/they’re not my cup of tea” and leave it at that 😭!!)!

Greetings.  You said I could chose fandoms, so I'll give answers including the fandoms we share so it might interest you!

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom(s)? Are they a popular OTP?

For the Vampire Chronicles, I think it would only be Marius/Santino, but I dont think that even exists. The reasons are encompassed in this reply.

For Helluva Boss... I'm not very into the shipping,  but I believe most of the ships I've seen are canon and I'm fine with them.

For the Transformers [specifically Transformers: Prime] the list is long. (You're not into this one but I like talking about them :3) NO Megastar, NO WaveWave, NO Soundstar,  NO Optimus x Starscream (don't recall how they call it),  NO elita x Optimus (in this specific iteration, the other versions are fine and canon) NO Megatron with anyone that's not Soundwave or Optimus and no Soundwave with anyone that is not Megatron.

And yes, much to my disgrace, the Megatron/Starscream and the other first three are quiet popular.

11. Is there an unpopular Character you like that the Fandom doesn't? Why?

For the Vampire Chronicles... unpopular... Is Nicholas unpopular? He was such an interesting character.  I shared his nihilism and his desperate love for music, even though he was doomed, as a human, to be mediocre. He wasn't made for life.

Is Gabrielle unpopular? She was fierce and sharp, I love her.

And David Talbot. I don't understand the hate in the slightest. Guess are the same moralists that hate Marius (like, do they hate mature adult men?).  I liked how he was a refined gentleman. I don't love him, but there's nothing despicable in him.

For Helluva Boss... is Loona unpopular? I like her more than more popular characters, even though she is not that important.  I find her very charmingly hateful, how she can't stand physical contact and doesn't give a damn for most things.

Here I'll also add Castlevania.  Carmilla and Lenore get so much hate for no reason. I love them both. Carmilla is cruel, yes, but she's a finely crafted character. Besides, most characters are cruel to an extent in this show.  Lenore is so smart and ambivalent,  also a compounded character. I loved how she seemed the softest of the vampires, but she definitely was not one to be deluded or taken advantage of only because she was a diplomat. And she made that clear. They were vampires and behaved as such.

For the Transformers (tfPrime) <^^>... unpopular... Airachnid.  Most people hate her, but I love her. She's so dark, mysterious, a loner. She's sardonic and creepy. These are traits, not flaws. Besides, she's a spider and then sort of a vampire,  therefore she's aesthetically perfect.

And I like Starscream,  but the real Starscream,  not the simplified poor victim they've made of him. I think that canon Starscream is less popular than babyfied Starscream.

2) Lestat & Armand! I can't picture their dynamic in a way that presses any of my buttons.

10) Okay so the only book I couldn't bring myself to finish was Memnoch, but in terms of arcs within books I otherwise enjoy: like everyone else, could not get into the replimoids, I wish we had just stuck with ghosts and witches as our non vampire supernatural creatures, and I cannot take QotD's plot seriously in the slightest. Love QotD for it's character work, cannot handle either the present day Akasha story or the many many pages of backstory.

12) I feel like SO many depending on the section of fandom. So first, unironic totb stan here! I know some people didn't love the talamasca and psychic shenigans but I think that actually did work as a way of expanding the TVC world without getting too far astray. Also won't say I liked blood canticle but I think if you can push through the sillier and stranger bits it has some good lines.

Character wise: Not unpopular with our section of fandom lmao but in a broader sense, Marius & Armand in Venice. I don't view it as abusive or predatory (beyond what you could argue about any vampire/human relationship, I guess), I just think it's romantic and tragic in how brief they had each other.

22) I'm not really someone who actively dislikes any characters in media, I'm usually just indifferent if a character doesn't appeal to me. So in terms of characters I just don't understand the interest of, personally: Akasha is just deeply boring to me as a character outside of her impact on other characters like Marius and Pandora.

23) Okay assuming Marius is too popular to fit here: Antoine, Zenobia, Goblin (I feel bad for him...)

to be fair, most of the time i do get the appeal, but... they don't compell me lkjl. that being said...

borderlands: troy with maya or aurelia mostly lkjlkj, and i don't really ship maya/krieg or angel/gaige with anyone else but each other

jjk: i hc both maki and nobara as lesbians, so none with guys?

bsd: i have a few but here i'm gonna say fyodor and bram lkjlkjlk

7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?

i'm having lil struggles with a couple characters/ships from jjk, but it's more personal than the fandom's fault tbh.

9. Most disliked character(s)? Why?

rn there's none i absolutely loathe, but for example, fukuchi (bsd) made me quite mad at first lkjlk. then i chilled out, we learned his motives, and i like him more now.

the calypso twins could've been better if it wasn't for the issues bl3 had, and same with katagawa.

and i don't hate sukuna, but it's getting kinda old not knowing shit about him except how he can solo 95% of the jjk cast...

21. What are your thoughts on crack ships?

some i like, some i don't, but in general the concept it's pretty fun. i use it mostly for shipping characters from different fandoms rather than very very rare rarepairs, tho.

Peterflash! I don’t know that I hated the ship before (and even now, it’s not an OTP), but…I definitely wouldn’t have been open to it if it wasn’t written by a fic author who characterizes Flash and Peter so well 💞 @starkravinghazelnoots, I love you for building a friendship between these two and giving Flash the depth that the fandom at large refuses to give him!!

Funny that this is on here as a separate question from 23 😂 but I’ll give a different character: Flash Thompson!! Specifically MCU Flash. I just think he deserves so much more depth and nuance than most of the fandom gives him, tho luckily I’ve met some amazing people (like you, @abc2411, @starkravinghazelnoots, @ambivalentmarvel, etc) who give Flash the depth that he deserves!

1 What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?*

Hmm…can I say Yuno x Asta 😅? Like I see where and why people ship the two together (once again; if you ship them, I support you in that 👏), but I personally don’t get it…do they have chemistry and history? Yes they do. Is it romantic? Not to me 😅. To me their chemistry gives me “rivals/brothers/best friends” instead of “lovers”. They’re one of my favorite Brotp’s, but probably my second least favorite OTP (behind Mereoleona x William 😅).

10 Most disliked arc? Why?

Okay, so this is going to get me a lot of flack but…i really disliked the Elf Invasion arc 🙈. While the lore and all of the story elements Tabs introduced were amazing and interesting, the rest of it kind of…dragged on and on and on and on for me. It got to a point where I nearly dropped Black Clover because of it (my mom is the reason i stuck with it ahwjwjshwjw). I think one of the reasons it felt super long for me is all the fight scenes and how we just seamlessly(?) transitioned from one arc to another without much of a breather so it all felt like one big, and very long, arc 😅. But, I got reinvested in the anime when Zagred was introduced that was just *chef’s kiss*!

27 Least shippable character?

Ahwkwksjskw honestly? I feel like it might be Alecdora who is the least shippable character in the series! He just…I really cannot imagine any one with him romantically, not even an OC (yes I have a pair of Next Gens that are his, but no one knows where they came from, not even me 😆!). He’s just, really really unshippable imo!

Yes, us/uk. I prefer seeing them as a complicated family mess. But as my brothers in arms (I ship spamano) I will fight anyone who trash talks the ship/shippers.

3. Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?

Probably? But it would have to really bug me and be because they were talking about it very often and/or being aggressive with it. And by aggressive I mean ‘this is the only way to view this ship/these characters’ or ‘I’m better than you for this opinion’.

Otherwise I usually just ignore differing opinions cause it’s impossible to find someone you agree with everything about.

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

There is only really one ship I consider a NoTP and it is not in my main fandom. It is a very popular ship and I avoid mentioning it cause I truly hate it.

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

See above. I hate that ship and feel ill seeing it because of toxic shippers. If you ship it idc but like I will not even consider talking about it. Those toxic shippers really ruined any chance of me considering it.

6. Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?

Wouldn’t say hated but I did originally not like pruaus and saw it as incest. But then I saw people debunk that headcanon as simply a headcanon and I now actually enjoy that ship (not that you can’t ship incest, again idc what you ship lol).

1. What Otp in your Fandom (s) do you just not get?

For the Vampire Chronicles, I don't think I can apply that. Because canonically they don't have qualms on crashing (not falling, crashing) in love with a new vampire for the oddest of reasons and with more than one at every time. If you give me Marius/Armand, that's canon. If you give me Armand/ Louis, Armand/Lestat, Armand/Daniel, Lestat /Louis, Lestat/Armand, Louis/Claudia, Marius/Pandora, Marius/Bianca/Armand, Lestat/Tarquin, Lestat/Nicholas that's all canon. I've seen Marius/Daniel that I dont think is quiet canon compliant, because I don't think he loved Daniel as he did others. But I haven't read the last books, so I can't really know, and besides, it could very well happen. Makes sense. I've also seen Pandora/Bianca that is definitely not canon, but it could very well be, why not? I mean, as I said, they fall in love suddenly, or have weird not quiet love not quiet hate, friendship lovers or undefined complex relationships with one another, and transcend gender and age, and labels, so I think you could very well pair anyone with any other. Save Marius with Santino, of course! But I've never seen anything of the like. Santino would be the one to not make sense with almost anyone.

Overall, I think that it is not that most otp's make sense regarding which characters are in it, but it rather be that if the way they are portraying or interpreting it makes sense or not.

3. Have you ever unfollowed someone over a Fandom opinion?

Of course. Everyone moralizing, mischaracterizing or fiercely misinterpreting any character, or hating Marius (which implies both) is going down the water pipe.

7. Is there anything you used to like but can't stand now?

Hmm... not really. What I disliked of the books or the Fandom I've always disliked and vice-versa.

22. Popular character you hate?

Hmm... no, I don't think so. I love all of the popular characters. And also like those that a part of Fandom hates. There are only two characters I absolutely despise, but they are not (fortunately) quiet popular.

How would you end XXX/Would you change the ending of XXX?

What are your thoughts on crack ships?

The ending of the tfp Predacons rising(I think) film I’d tone down Megatron’s anger or snappiness at Starscream. Given all that has happened to his character with the whole being taken over by unicron and realizing what he’s become, I would’ve made him a bit gentler and quieter, more tired. So instead of yelling, he’s just blunt and tired, saying that the decepticons are over and that he’s no better than his oppressors, maybe offering his Decepticons to either join him in exile for his atonement or apologizing for everything

Crackships : I love those. I have a whole sideblog for crackships and rarepairs. I, myself have literally made a crackship of megs and Jetfire for no real reason other than I wanted to

answered the bsd part here, and for jjk... i think in general it's kinda a tie between yuuji and gojo, but i personally don't have as many ships for yuuji as i have for gojo lakjsdlf. like, it doesn't get to the levels of dazai, but still.

and i've seen quite a bit with utahime, but i only really have 2 ships for her sooo *shrugs*
