hello hello! for the life series ask game: any combination of [ 1, 5, 15 ] ?
1. overall favourite season?
Honestly probably Limited Life? Though 3rd Life is a very very close contender. I really liked how chaotic and blunt and violent the violence was in LimLife, and I think both Cleo and Joel got to shine in their respective groups. It's a really close thing though because the groups and dynamics in 3rd life are SO good and compelling.
5. favourite build?
The Crastle!!! Bdubs fucking killed it, it's such a great build. Honorable mention to Pearl's tower in DL because it's so iconic and striking on a season where a lot of people seemed to have half given up on their bases bc they were just going to burn anyways.
15. are there any interactions/events/moments that you think people have overlooked?
[speaking in the driven voice of someone possessed] CLEO'S DOUBLE LIFE ENDING. She knew she was going to die, and therefore Martyn was going to die, and that Scott probably wasn't even going to get to win out of the remaining pair, but they just couldn't fight him. G-D. There's a brief moment where she clearly makes the decision not to join in firing while Martyn was fighting a few minutes before the final confrontation, and it kills me.
Also BigB having a family of frogs that could seemingly talk to him?? that he mournfully says goodbye to as he goes red in LimLife. That was so fucking good and at most I see people mention he had a thing with frogs.

The gods literally curse Salem to never see her beloved one just because she did what every person would do if they know there is a way to bring someone they loved back to life.
Whatever they were right or not about Ozpin what they did to her is what cause all of the war in remnant
Everyone can have their opinion but i don't see the gods as good guys especially when v9 final show us that they know nothing about balance.
Maybe they don't need to be killed but they defiantly need to learn their lesson and mistakes.
(Also what theme killing the gods is going against?)
Here's the thing, I'm not at all saying the gods were right or wrong in what they were doing, but they were definitely not prepared to deal with a human that doesnt know how to deal with loss. But what you're missing is that the opinion I keep seeing around is that the gods have to die, the gods are the real villains, the gods are evil dickheads, and everything we've learned about the gods just doesnt support any of that. Yes, the gods have a lesson they need to learn, but the thing is, killing them or treating them as an entity that has to go isnt going to solve anything.
And placing the full blame of Salem's actions on them isnt exactly a fair sentiment either. They were absolutely wrong to curse Salem the way they did, but what vol 9 showed us is that's all they really knew how to deal with the situation. They're from the Ever After. Death isnt really a thing there, at least, not in the way we know it. In the Ever After, everyone is functionally immortal. Barring any accidents or running into the Jabberwalker, as long as you are content with your purpose, you'll never die of old age. And Salem's curse is basically just their way of using the Ever After's rules to try to help her change and learn. But it backfires because Remnant doest operate on those same rules.
So, yes, they absolutely have lessons they need to learn with balance and compassion, and that's one of the themes of RWBY. That no matter the mistakes that are made, everyone deserves a chance to learn otherwise and to correct those mistakes. And killing the gods would go against those themes.
The other thing about the gods, we really dont know anything about them besides stories. What we learned about the gods from Jinn was all from Ozma's perspective, from someone who fears the gods and has a reverence to them in fear. And the blacksmith talks about them as if they're children because they left the Ever After relatively young. They're inexperienced beings that dont quite understand how their creations feel. That doesnt make them evil or bad guys, it just means they need to learn and grow. Why would a story about allowing people to learn and grow kill off two beings that need those lessons, and quite frankly, probably wont really play much more of a role in the story until the end?

The two days later annoys me even more now that I remember they also used it so they wouldn’t have to explain how the trio and Dustin left the Upside Down. Like, did they just jump thru the massive gate that opened? Did they have to go back to the one in Eddie’s trailer? If the gap is itself a giant gate, than they could’ve find a way to get Eddie’s body out of there. But the gap CAN’T be a giant gate, right? Or else it wouldn’t have “eaten”/cut Jason in half.

Well I’d like to think we are friends, or somewhat close to that. So I care that you are doing well or not. I’m glad to hear you are doing well though! -🐈‍⬛
Salem: [scoffs] Pretty sure you've lost the right to consider us "friends." I don't really care what you think.

Hii Salem! Thank you so much for effort everytime <3
Can I request something about Law x insecure yn? Something like yn has seen Law and Robin a few times together and yn thinks that Robin is much prettier, taller, intelligent and more suitable for Law than her and for this gets sad about not being enough for Law
OUGH sorry this took so long to get to bb, I hope that I did this justice for you!!
[Heads up!: a little dose of angst, hurt/comfort, established relationship]
Tumblr media
The problem isn't with Robin.
You like her, you really do. She's kind and intelligent, beautiful ㅡ and a wonderful addition to her crew.
The problem is with you.
You tell yourself over and over that you're better than this, that you won't let the little green monster rear its ugly head inside you, that jealousy has no place in your relationship with Law.
But watching Robin and Law be deep in conversation with each other still makes you wonder. Would Law be happier if you were like that? Taller, smarter, prettier?
You're strong in your own right and you're by no means dumb, nor have you ever had reason to doubt your own beauty ㅡ and yet. Law deserves the world, even if he doesn't think he does. He deserves someone who can give that to him ㅡ even if it isn't you.
Your dismal mood persists even as you try your best to shove it down, the dimished cheer and way your smile doesn't quite meet your eyes unnoticed by all but the one person who often knows you better than you do.
Law waits until after dinner to confront you about it, finding you in the lounge, idly watching the fish swim around in the tank. "Something is bothering you."
It's a statement, not a question ㅡ and a silent demand for an answer. He won't pry if you truly don't want him to, but he also doesn't like the idea of you being upset.
You watch a fish flit beneath an arch of rocks, iridescent scales shimmering before you sigh softly. How do you even go about this? You don't want to make this a bigger issue than it has to be ㅡ especially when the problem is only in your head. "If there's anything I can change to be a better partner for you, I'd like to know."
The buzz of the fish tank seems to grow louder in the silence that follows. Your stomach twists. Why had you said anything? Perhaps this is what does it, what pops the bubble you've been happily living in for the better part of a year ㅡ your own thoughts and self-doubts.
Law watches your expression crumble further, the knit of your brow and press of your lips as you stare at the fish, and he frowns. Had he done something to make you think you weren't enough? The idea alone is absurd, even more so for the fact that you think he'd want you to change for him ㅡ to diminish what makes you inherently you for the sake of your relationship.
As if all of your little quirks and habits weren't the exact reason Law developed feelings for you in the first place.
"No," he answers at last, settling a hand on your head. "I don't want you to change anything."
You turn towards him. "Butㅡ"
"If I didn't think that this would work out in the long run," he says softly but firmly, "then I never would have said anything. I want you as you are now, not a watered down version." He pauses. "Provided you still want me as I am?"
You blink. "Of course I do."
Law's lips quirk before his hand at your head slips down to press to your cheek, watching as you lean into the soft, subtle comfort. "Then there's nothing to worry about."

BEFORE and AFTER
Before:
Jaune: There’s no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday! I would've remembered having to count that high- AAAH! *Gets Shoved Against the Wall*
Yang: What are your intentions with my sister?!
Jaune: Your sister?! OH! You mean Ruby? We just met, like, yesterday!
Yang: You think I don’t know what your game here is?! That I would let some guy my sister just met taint what’s left of her innocence?! I mean, what are the odds Ruby's first friend at Beacon turned out to be some good-for-nothing boy like you?!
Jaune: Fifty-fifty? *Gets Shoved Harder* OW!
Yang: I’m going to make myself very clear here! If you so much glance at her the wrong way, I will show you a world of pain only the Grimm can imagine! Got that?!
Jaune: *Gulp* Y-Yes ma’am.
Yang: Good. *Releases Him* I’ll be watching you at the initiation. Don’t even think about sneaking in the same Team as Ruby.
Jaune: I-I’ll keep that in mind…
After:
Jaune: Hey Yang, I got your message. I just finished helping some refugees from Mantle settle in. What did you wanna- WHOA! *Gets Shoved Against the Wall* …Well, this feels familiar.
Yang: What’s your deal with Ruby, huh?!
Jaune: My deal with Ruby?
Yang: Don’t play coy with me now! Just answer the damn question!
Jaune: N-Nothing! There’s nothing going on between me and her!
Yang: Yeah, I can see that! WHY HAVEN’T YOU MADE A MOVE ALREADY?!
Jaune: I-I SWEAR, YANG! I WASN’T- Wait, what?
Yang: Ruby has been travelling with you for over a year now. So why haven’t you two started dating yet?!
Jaune: Wha-?! Wha-?! But you told me back at Beacon-!
Yang: That was ages ago, you numb-nuts! Listen, Ruby needs a supportive partner who’s willing to go through the same lengths you did to protect her. You’ve seen what she went through in the Ever After. Don’t you think she deserves to settle down with someone she likes?
Jaune: I get where you coming from, but still-
Yang: And besides, we need more of “Her Kind” now more than ever!
Jaune: …I don’t follow.
Yang: Do I have to spell it out?! *Shoves Him Harder* Ruby was Summer’s only daughter! She’s literally the last of her kind! If we’re gonna stand a chance against Salem and her army, we need more Silver-Eyed Warriors!
Jaune: A-And how am I supposed to help with that?!
Yang: You know exactly how.
Jaune: I… Do?
Yang: Jaune. My man. My fellow blond-in-arms… I need you to continue the Rose Bloodline.
Jaune: WHAT?!
Yang: You heard me! I’ve seen what your family’s capable of! You and Ruby are the only ones who can get us a fresh batch of Silver-Eyed Juggernauts in record time!
Jaune: Yang! You’re talking crazy now!
Yang: RUBY’S GARDEN IS RUNNING BARREN AND SHE IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF YOUR VIRILE SEED, JAUNE!
Jaune: Yang, please! Come to your senses!
Yang: I WON’T LET MENOPAUSE TAKE AWAY MANKIND’S LAST HOPE! YOU WILL MAKE ME AN AUNT EVEN IF IT’S THE LAST THING YOU’LL DO!
Jaune: SORRY! *Slips Through his Armor, Escaping her Grip* I just remembered I’m needed somewhere else! See ya! *Running for his Life*
Yang: HEY! GET BACK HERE! *Gives Chase* YOU WILL F#CK MY SISTER OR SO HELP ME!

whys and hows aside, ultimately what “summer joined salem” comes down to is:
salem has one more person working for her whose existence has been confirmed (seer call in v4 from beacon after establishing that all known agents are not there) but identity never revealed.
none of her other agents have had their identities obscured: even lionheart is revealed to be her spy upfront. the mystery surrounding the identity of this character is unique—ergo, narratively consequential.
“what happened to summer rose?” is a central narrative mystery which has thus far been partially answered in this order: a) she met salem, b) salem perhaps did something other than killing her, c) raven was involved and whatever happened turned her past admiration for summer into the scorn on display at haven.
the timeline on summer being made into a hound does not add up (the hound is “an experiment” and a novelty to both salem’s enemies and her inner circle now—salem met summer approx. fourteen years ago) but it’s deeply unlikely that the narrative would have flagged the possibility of fate-other-than-death if she were actually dead.
the conclusion that salem turned summer into a hound is offered by ruby, on minimal evidence; in v4, ruby hears tyrian waxing poetic about his “goddess” and with no hesitation goes “cinder,” which is to say ruby has a demonstrable tendency of jumping to conclusions based on incomplete information that are close but nevertheless very wrong.
so the narrative has given us these pieces:
summer met salem.
salem probably did not kill her.
summer can’t have been grimmed.
summer broke raven’s trust, badly.
salem has had an anonymous agent holding beacon, we have known this since v4, and we have yet to find out who this person is.
what happened to summer rose?
the anonymity of the person on the other end of that seer call is the keystone holding everything together. the facts pertaining to summer rose alone don’t necessarily add up to “turncoat,” only “not dead and not a hound,” but when taken into account with the open question of who salem has at beacon, then the simplest, most straightforward answer is that summer joined her.
the point of keeping the beacon lieutenant’s identity a secret is to maintain suspense. it is a character the audience already knows—or knows of. (the reason salem’s reveal at the end of v3 works is because she’s been the narrator since the beginning, for example.) with the way the cast is set up, this more or less requires that the beacon lieutenant be a turncoat; the other possibilities are tai, glynda, oobleck, and port. if it’s any of them, the separate mystery of what happened to summer rose remains and must still be answered in order to resolve that increasingly central narrative question, and the how and why tai or glynda or oobleck or port joined salem needs to be answered too. if summer is the beacon lieutenant, the narrative answers two questions with one answer.

Those Green Eyes
Summary: Loki reaches out from beyond the timelines.
Loki x Reader (No use of Y/N)
A/N I'm just trying to get out of my writing slump so I'm writing the first thing that comes to mind: my darkling Loki <3 Will there be a second part? Hopefully! I want to do it from Loki’s perspective. Also yes, this is cheesy because I like cheesy. Love y'all.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He came in your dreams, disappearing the second your alarm startled you awake, reminding you of reality. Your life began to feel distant, like there was a part missing only those mischievous green eyes could fill. You rose from bed, rubbing your eyes and trying to grasp on to that laugh you heard last night as you slept. You can’t remember when it started, only how you felt the first time you felt his presence as you slept. As you make your morning coffee, you try to piece together the vague details you could still remember; long, ink black hair, long fingers, his fleeting laugh, those sparkling green eyes. His name. You knew his name it was on the tip of your tongue. L-
Later. Right now you had to focus on what's real, so you walk back to your bedroom, ignoring your unmade bed and picking out an outfit for another day at the antique bookstore you worked at. You picked a simple pink sweater and jeans, too heavy for the summer weather but perfect for the air conditioned store. Now finished with your mug of coffee, you grab your bag with everything you meed for the day and prepare to leave your apartment to start your walk to work.
As you walk down the busy streets of your tourist filled town, suddenly every person you saw reminded you of him. 'Those cheekbones look familiar' 'Those are his lips' 'That’s his hair'. Your eyes dart from person to person, trying to puzzle together the man in your dreams, almost like a collage of features. Though none of them had his eyes. Those effervescent green eyes. Tonight, you think to yourself, I'll look more closely.
Your whole shift, you're head is in the clouds as you answer questions and check out books. You've had dreams of strangers before, but why did he keep reappearing? Why is he stuck in your head? And why can't you remember? You interrogate yourself over and over until your shift ends, looking forward to crashing in bed and see his face once again.
By the time you get home and finish your dinner, you're ready for sleep, somehow feeling closer to him than usual. After your shower, you lie in bed and get as comfortable as you can and feel yourself drift into sleep. I'll see you soon, L-
Your eyes open, taking in your surroundings. Every night it's somewhere different, tonight you're in a field of grass and wild flowers. You look down to see you're wearing a green slip dress and no shoes. You feel the wind rush through your hair and everything returns to you. You remember.
"Loki!" You call, and begin running. You don't know where you're going but you know you'll find him. "Loki!!"
And suddenly there he is. Sitting under a tree in a loose green shirt and black pants, he hears your calls and looks to you with those beautiful green eyes. As he stands and smiles, Loki opens his arms for you to run into.
“My darling,” Loki chuckles as you are enter in his embrace and suddenly you remember every night you've spent with him now. Sitting together, sometimes talking, sometimes not. You remember his stories; his quest for a throne, his family, his adventures, his ending. You remember him listening to your stories of your bookstore in Salem, your search to adopt the perfect cat, your current novel you’re reading. You remember the places he’s taken you in your dreams; any place on Earth you ask for, Asgard, Yggdrasil. Every place was empty, except for the two of you. When you asked, Loki explained none of it was real, just him projecting an image into your dreams.
Tonight, there was no adventure, no stories. Just you and Loki resting in each other’s arms under the tree.
“Good morning, darling.” Loki chuckles and kisses the top of your head. You hear your alarm, quietly at first but slowly growing louder.
As Loki runs his hand through your hair, you think it’d be okay to forget every morning as long as each night you come back to this.
You look up at him and smile. “Until tomorrow night, Loki.”
As long as you come back to those beautiful green eyes.

those two minutes of flashbacks gave me So Much to mull over and i don't think i'll ever be over it. i'm thriving with the strq lore crumbs.
the absolute love summer has for her daughters and husband, how you can feel it from her every action. the way she's leaving behind something of hers just in case, the pain and hesitation on her face when she has to face tai and lie to him, the final (for now) laugh they share... there's just so much warmth to summer, it's unreal.
and then it's all gone when she goes to meet raven; she's in a mission mode, she's not there to chit-chat, there's no friendly banter from her, she's got a job to do and she wants it done so she can return back home.
"i'll be back soon," she says to tai. her final words to him. "i know," tai says back, his answer resolute, leaving no doubt behind that he truly believes summer will be back. then, some 15 years forward, and you have yang talking about her arm that she lost, how she lost a part of herself: "a piece of me is gone. and it's never coming back." "you're right. it's not coming back." you have ruby sending a prerecorded message via amity, her admittance how they might not make it in atlas, and if that happens the rest of the world can't give up, because bringing everyone together is how they'll win—
and the message gets cut short, and all tai can say is "no! come back!" in the darkness of his living room.
can you believe how much weight there is behind those words? in a simple "come back"? this is an emotional gut punch ten times over and i swear if tai is not in vacuo to see his daughters come back i'm going to riot.
"and, uh... what about... you're just going to leave them?" "you're one to talk." "it's— you're better at that life. better than i was."
it's what, raven? not the same? not that simple? there's something about... how raven doesn't see her own departure as the same thing as what summer is currently doing. that there's a difference—one that summer does not know about—between their reasons, and my mind keeps going back to 1. that raven has most likely already met salem at least once at this point, 2. salem's method to ensure raven's cooperation is to threaten the survival of her people, and 3. "what does she have on you?", a question that did not fit lionheart's situation, so chances are it fits raven's.
also she gave that life a shot but unfortunately she was raised to be a killer by a bunch of bandits but she still wanted that life and i'm—
i'm putting these idiots into a blender. they cause me immeasurable emotional pain.

The Interview
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Lisa Lavender Live. As always, I am your host, Lisa Lavender, and tonight we interview a man who was responsible for saving all of Remnant from the Grimm more than twelve years ago. Please, join me as we welcome a hero of great renown, Jaune Arc!"
The crowd roared as they stood and applauded the well-shaven gentleman seated across from Lisa Lavender. His stomach felt like there were rocks tumbling around inside, but that couldn't be the case because he threw up in the dressing room already. He was on camera in front of millions of people across Remnant, all of whom lauded him as a hero, which was part of the reason why he was so hesitant to do any interviews since what became known as "The Fall of Grimm". He'd seen many interviews of celebrities fumbling and it coming back to haunt them years later. Here's hoping this wouldn't be one of them.
"Jaune, how are you feeling?"
"I threw up." The audience laughed. At least they loved it. "In the dressing room. Sorry, I'm not used to being on camera."
"If I recall, you were responsible for delivering Ruby Rose's message to the world, weren't you?"
"I was, but, uh..." Jaune scratched his head. "To be honest, I never was good with technology."
"Is that why you use a sword and shield?"
"It's part of it." Jaune replied. "To be honest, this old thing was just a heavy heirloom sitting on my family's wall until I left for Beacon."
"Beacon Academy, correct? That's where you had your schooling?"
"Well, it's where I first started until the Fall of Beacon, and then I walked all the way to Atlas."
"You walked from Beacon to Atlas?"
"Well, I rode a train from Haven to Argus. Not really a fan of flying."
"What happened the last time you flew?"
"I threw up." The audience laughed again. Two for two, and he was winning each round. So far so good. "Yeah, I don't know what it is, but I was just really bad with flying. I still am, too."
"Are you sure it isn't just nerves?"
"After all the bullheads I've been on, Miss Lavender, yes, I'm sure." Third time and everyone chuckled.
"Well, I'm sure you know that I didn't just bring you on stage to just talk about your airsickness." The hostess smiled. "After all, you were the commander of the Five Kingdom Army."
"I feel sick just thinking about it." Fewer chuckles this time. Okay, the joke was dead. Moving on. "But yeah, it was last minute decision to be honest. As soon as I showed up, everyone started rushing me into these briefings and plannings and I had to be the one to look over the positioning of all five kingdoms. I mean, it would be like someone grabbing you on your first day at Beacon and throwing you off a cliff to see how you landed." He chuckled. "Which, yes, I can compare to." The audience laughed.
"So what was going through your mind when you were planning?"
At this, Jaune was quiet. He leaned back and closed his eyes, remembering what Ozpin and Oscar were telling him about their plan to use Ruby as their trump card. He instantly rebuked the idea. With a nod, he answered the question.
"I was thinking about the best way to get to Salem."
"And putting the Huntress Hero, Ruby Rose, on the frontlines. Was that your plan?"
"When I first showed up, I was being told that all of the kingdoms agreed to pull her back to a safehouse until a final push. I told them that their plan was just asking for trouble and said to put her up front."
"Didn't that seem like a big risk, Jaune?"
"Yeah, but here's the thing. Nobody knows Ruby, or her team, RWBY, better than I do."
"Wait, do you know Ruby or RWBY better?"
"Yes." The audience laughed loudly. "But if you're looking for a more serious answer, I would say I know Ruby Rose better than I know her team. In fact, I know three things that her team forgets sometimes."
"Oh? Would you mind sharing these juicy secrets?"
"I would be more than happy to."
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby Rose watched the screen, barely blinking her eyes at the interview playing in front of her. Her best... Former best friend cracked jokes and talked about his arguments with Ozpin and everyone else in the war room like it wasn't a three hour screamfest about how Ruby shouldn't be treated like figurehead. Now he was about to spill secrets about her?
The last conversation they had was more than ten years ago, and just like in the war room, it was just as loud and aggressive, though she was the more vocal of the two. He wanted to settle down and she wanted to be free, using her childhood home as a base. Jaune wanted to keep in touch, but she'd slammed the door in his face and never looked back.
And now he was talking with Lisa Lavender on her talkshow, gabbing about the two of them like they were still friends. Part of her wanted to be mad at him, but another part wanted to forgive him. The former was easy, but the latter... She couldn't. Even if it had been more than ten years, there was something about how Jaune put his foot down about having the house and her visiting now and then, it just... It hurt. It still hurt.
Maybe what he's about to say will make her anger more justified.
"First of all," he said, "and you'll probably want to write this down; Ruby is probably the most agile huntress I have ever met. Probably even more so than her teammate, Blake. You could even say, she can really move." He tapped his palm. "She can really move, right that down."
"Okay, I'll write it." Lisa Lavender chuckled as she wrote on a notepad.
Ruby let out a sigh. It was no secret that she moves a lot. After all, the whole reason for their big fight was how she wanted to keep moving but Jaune insisted on staying where he was. He was stubborn and stiff, but she was more aloof and carefree. Was she biased? Of course she was. She's Ruby Rose.
"Second, she's really mouthy." Jaune said with a furrowed brow. "Like, she can be a real brat sometimes and kinda bossy. Like, things have to go her way or no way at all." Ruby shared his scowl. "For that one, write down that she's got an attitude."
"She's got an attitude, got it."
"I do not." Ruby muttered, glaring at the screen. Did she come off a little standoffish sometimes? Sure, but only when big, meatheaded knights were trying to force her to do things she didn't want to. She huffed. How long was he going to be sitting there saying these untrue things?
"Ready for the last one?"
"I'm ready, Jaune."
"So, and write this down, she's the fastest thing alive." Ruby blinked. What did he just say? "Like, I remember we got into a food fight with each other, and she just ended it all with a WHOOSH! Instant hurricane in the cafeteria and I'm on the wall, covered in grease and soda and juice." He chuckled. "I was completely soaked in food and drinks." He sighed. "Could read back what you wrote down?"
"I think I know where this is going, but okay." Lisa Lavender chuckled. "So, Ruby Rose... She can really move."
"Ruby Rose." Jaune said with a nod.
"She's got an attitude."
"Ruby Rose..." His body tensed, grinning ear to ear. Ruby's heart raced.
"She's the fastest thing alive?"
"SHE'S THE FASTEST THING ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE~!" Jaune belted out the chorus, standing from his feet and pointing to the sky like a rockstar. The crowd went wild, roaring with applause, even as he sat down with a sigh. "I'm sorry I had to drag you through that."
"Let me guess, was this a bet you two made?"
"Not really." Jaune chuckled. "Ruby Ro- Er, sorry. Ruby is my best friend. And even though I haven't seen her since we beat Salem together, I would say that she'll always be my best friend."
"Oh?" The crowd cooed at the sweet remark. "Would you say this friendship goes beyond normal friends?"
"Yeah, but not like that." He said with a chuckle. "She's still as much my best friend as I am hers. And even if she doesn't think we're friends anymore, I would say it to my grave that she's still mine." Everyone in the audience cooed even more.
"Well, that's all the time we have for the interview. Anything more you want to say to Ruby if she's listening?"
"Yeah." He looks to the camera, smiling. "I'm still here for you, Ruby."
Ruby turned off the screen, weeping into her hands.
--------------------------------------------------
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Lisa Lavender Live. As always, I am your host, Lisa Lavender, and tonight we interview the Huntress to end all Huntresses, a woman who just might be the most talked about woman to this day, the one and only, Ruby Rose!"
The crowd cheered and roared with even more excitement that when Jaune was on stage. Thankfully, her best friend stood in the wings, smiling as he watched her. She smiled back to him, and then smiled to the crowd and waved. As the roaring died down, Ruby directed her attention to the hostess as she began speaking.
"Thank you again for meeting with me, Miss Rose." Lisa Lavender said. "I can't deny that I'm a little honored that in the past twelve years since your victory over Salem, this is your first interview, right?"
"Yup!" Ruby replied. "Er, I mean, yes, it is."
"There's no need to be so formal, Miss Rose." Giggled Miss Lavender. "We're just having a conversation."
"In front of millions of people." Ruby clarified.
"You get used to it after a while. And I have to say that I'm surprised that you chose to come on just a month since Jaune Arc's own interview! I guess you two really are as close as he said!"
"Eheh, um, not exactly." Ruby said. "To be honest, when Jaune asked me to come on the air, it was probably only a week or so after we made up."
"Oh?" Lisa leaned in. "Was there tension between you two?"
"Something like that." Ruby answered. "Just a few days after his interview, I spoke with Jaune for the first time in more than ten years. And our last conversation before that didn't exactly end on good terms." The crowd awed at the statement.
"I wasn't expecting this much juice this early on. If you don't mind, would you care to explain."
"Not really, since it's all resolved now." Ruby said with a sigh. "Besides, I'd rather talk about us making up for lost time."
"Ooh~! Now this I have to hear! Do you want to hear, everyone?!" The crowd cheered, making Ruby shrink a little. "Well, there you have it. Tell us everything, Ruby."
"Okay." Ruby took a deep breath and let it all out. "When I showed up at Jaune's door, the first thing we did was hug." The crowd cooed. "And I had to tap him on the shoulder because I was having trouble breathing." She giggled and the audience laughed with her. "The next thing I know, we're sitting on the couch and just... talking. We talked about, well, everything!" Ruby shouted with a smile. "What we were doing, how everyone we knew was doing, when was he going to start growing his beard out." Everyone laughed at that.
"Well, it sounds like you two really are the best of friends. What was it like, burying the hatchet?"
"I..." Ruby gulped. "There was a lot of tears at first. I cried, he cried, I cried more, and then he cried more, and I told him to stop crying more than me, and he said no." The audience laughed after cooing. "And it's just... It's like I walked out that door ten years ago, and not a day passed since I came back."
"Well, isn't that sweet?" Lisa Lavender cooed. "Did anything really change since you came back?"
"Just one thing." Ruby said, smiling. She raised her hand, showing off a beautiful gold banded ring on her finger. The audience screamed at the reveal. She giggled. "Oh, come on. It's not that big."
