Sailor Moon Villains Bracket Fight
I was inspired by @k3fanblog 's K3 song bracket and decided I wanted to know which Sailor Moon villain is the favorite of the fandom here on tumblr!
Every few days I will post a poll (with gifs) where you can choose between two Sailor Moon villains. You can pick your favorite based on looks, personality or anything you want, you choose!
The villain with the most votes will move on to the next bracket and will be in a poll with another villain who has the most votes in their poll. In the end there will be 8 left, then 4, then 2 and finally 1 will win this bracket fight as the most liked villain in Sailor Moon.
I have put in villains from all forms of Sailor Moon canon (manga/crystal, 90s anime, sera myu, pgsm and the another story game).
I put villains against each other that to me seemed similar in popularity or power (or color scheme) so for example I put the big bads (Beryl and Nehelenia) against each other or villains that are similar to Sailor Mercury (Berthier and Nabu) or villains who have personal beef with each other (Eudial and Mimete). Not every character may have a fair chance, but I tried my best!

welcome to ghost mod's thought experiment, the m/f ship bracket bonus round where every single m/f ship from the original round is pit against reylo of the 97/3 #shreksweep infamy.
why, you ask? mostly cuz of this.
they're going from lowest to highest per the original rankings, starting off with our newcomers adam/eve. 9 polls per day will roll out on queue throughout the est evening from may 12th-18th! after polls are closed one week later, i will post the final rankings of who swept the hardest (or failed to sweep...)

Fission - R.5/Sailor Moon Fukufic - Ranma and Usagi 'collide' mid-transformation for both of them, causing...a whole lot of nothing. At first.
Deviation - MLP:FiM/EQG Omegaverse - Sunset Shimmer's banishment didn't go like she planned. She's outed as 'alien' immediately thanks to her...unique presentation as an Alpha female.
Double Isekai - Ranma 1/2 Isekai - One person from two variant timelines dies in both timelines, one variant isekai's into Ranma Saotome, the other isekai's into Nodoka Saotome. Which might not be so bad but it's 1985 and the Internet won't be available to the public for 10 or so years.
Lost Little Wolf: The Minor Key - MLP:FiM Isekai/Displacement - Years before the 1,000th Summer Sun Celebration, Chrysalis hatches a queen...carrying the soul of a dead woman from our Earth...me.
⚠ And at This Point I'm Afraid to Ask ⚠ - Ranma 1/2 Smutfic 🔞 - Ranma realizes that the NWC is about to all go into college but there's one question that has never been answered for the aquatransexual...what is a 'pervert,' anyway?

Fission
Honestly, this work is packed with MASSIVE moments all throughout that I just cannot wait for everyone to read, but one big one that's been living rent free in my head for nearly 20 years as I've had unplanned hiatus after unplanned hiatus; After Ranma's Inner Senshi receive all their transformation items via mysterious means, Ranma receives a package (along with Shampoo and Ryoga) with a 'key' in it along with a note telling him/her to trust his/her heart and she'll know who the missing Outer is for her team. When Ranma (as Sailor NeoMoon) discovers that Ryoga is NeoUranus, she's suddenly not sure at all who the new Senshi is supposed to be if guys (besides herself, being...heh...genderfluid) can be senshi, too...until she sees Haruka and Michiru exchanging a private moment and realizes exactly who it belongs to, and it might just save Ryoga's life.
Deviation
Sunset is the first Freshman elected captain of The Friendship Games in Canterlot High's history, and in this universe the final round is settled by the highest ranking Alpha for both teams facing off in the combat ring. Sunset has barely been a human for six months, but she now must defeat the star student of Crystal Prep, the genius athelete and top Alpha student of the school, Shining Armor.
Double Isekai
When Happosai summons an oni to punish Ranma, the NWC are unprepared when the demon possesses Nodoka, who's already been dealing with temper issues. Now her anger has been turned up to eleven and is being fueled by a demon, and Ranma cannot bring herself to harm her mother.
Lost Little Wolf: The Minor Key
There's, like, only five chapters left of this thing, so the next big event I can't wait for is the resolution after the climax. As much as I'm okay with spoilers...this one is just too close to the end to spoil too much! 😜
And at This Point I'm Afraid to Ask
This one is a good 13-15 chapters into the future and there's LOTS of good stuff in the second raunchiest thing I've ever written, and readers of this work will understand by this point in the narrative that it's one chapter of plot, one chapter of smut, repeat. The following happens during a non-smut chapter and makes me giggle every time I think of the planned scene:
Ranma's polycule has moved out, mostly to get away from Ranma and Akane's parents so Ranma can live her best life as a transwoman...with LOTS and lots of private, free time for sex. Ranma's also discovered that she's a submissive bottom, and when her three butch lesbian girlfriends/lovers discover this they start doing some private role-play, including dressing in business suits and having Ranma wear a sexy maid's uniform while doing chores and 'chores.' One day, Ranma's mother comes over unannounced and, not realizing who's at the door, Ranma opens it while in full maid costume.

Welcome to the Dead Guy Death Match Elimination Round!
Due to the broad nature of death as a concept, most of the submitted characters only received a few votes each causing a massive tie. I figured the fairest way to sort out this issue would be to hold an elimination round to let you guys vote on who you want to make it into the bracket.
There will be two elimination rounds the first of which will start on Monday the 3rd of April at 3pm BST and the second will start on Saturday the 8th of April at 3pm BST.
Elimination Round 1 will feature polls of 5 or 6 unrelated characters (all of the matchups were generated randomly) for you to vote on. The lowest voted character will be eliminated and all of the remaining options will progress to the bracket.
Elimination Round 2 will feature polls of differing numbers of characters from the same or similar media and only the highest ranked character among them will progress to the bracket, all of the others will be eliminated.
Both sets of polls will last 24 hours.
I've tried my best to only include official images for all of the characters on the polls but I'm not familiar with every series listed so, when the polls go up, if you notice I've used a fanart or cosplay image without permission or credit please let me know and I'll add credit and correct it for any future appearances of that character.

Last weekend Retro Gaming con was a BLAST!
It was my first time joining a very niche event, and my booth was kinda out of place coz it was so pinkish and girly, but never once I felt unwelcomed there! I was so overwhelmed by people liking my stuff especially when they learned that I made everything by hand 😭
I was even approached by a local toymaker and asked for an art collab 🥺
I felt like I was running my own poll of Who's the Most Popular Zelda characters 🤣
For those who are curious, TOTK Link won 1st place, followed by ALBW Zelda (she got an edge coz one buyer thought she was Sailor Moon lol). OOT Link and TP Link are fighting for 3rd place while TP Zelda falls on the 4th. I think if I made some WW and ALTTP characters, the ranking might end up differently lol
Next con will be in January and after that well, that depends if I get another invite or lead again 😆

Still haven’t found the exact information I’m looking for, but I did find out the following:
- At the height of the Cell saga, people wanted Gohan from DBZ to do homework. In the same survey, Ami from Sailor Moon ranked 2nd, and Trunks from DBZ ranked 3rd.
- In the viewership survey, DBZ ranked 1st, Da Garn ranked 2nd, and Sailor Moon ranked 3rd.
I’m surprised by that second tidbit of information. Granted, you can’t make accurate statements based solely off of a single poll done among a niche demographic, but it’s surprising nonetheless (at least from a western viewpoint) that Sailor Moon didn’t rank second. Personally, I’m loving Da Garn so far, so I can see why it was popular.

Favorite songs according to the NHK 2020 Ranking Poll results in Japan! The voting went on from October 16 to November 23, 2020 and had a total of 82,706 votes. Here’s the top 10:

I believe Chibi-usa haters are really the most funny community in the Sailor Moon fandom at this point. I literally read something like "Even Japanese animators hated her and that was the reason why she wasn't included to Sailor Stars" a few moments ago and i can't stop laughing now, at almost 1 am. I don't remember any single thing about Japanese people hated Chibi-usa? Unlike she was one of the most popular characters lmao. There were many character polls that Chibi-usa ranked at #1. The haters really seem to like spread false rumours about my pure child even though she did nothing wrong. Seriously i can't stand this community anymore.

Japanese Fans Rank the Classic Anime Songs They Can't Get Out of Their Heads
While these days "Gurenge" and "One Last Kiss" have been stuck in anime fan's heads for the past year and a bit, this is nothing new. If you look to the past, there are some classic anime bops that will never just never leave your head once you hear a single bar of the tune, one of the best examples being the Dragon Ball Z opening theme song "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA."
Japanese ranking site Goo Rankings polled 1,688 Japanese anime fans on what classic anime song they can't get out of their heads. The songs in question appeared in anime from the 1970s to the 1990s. As a note, Crunchyroll News had no bearing on the results, nor is affiliated with the rankings, we're just as interested in what fans think as you are! Here are the top 10 results:

I don’t know for sure, but I don’t think you’ve explained the different classes of Magi (the performer, hero, and the third class that I don’t remember currently). Could we have an explanation?
(Also I am desperate to write a fanfic set in this universe as you have already done WBMRs on two characters that I like and I just wanted to let you know because omg I love this massive fix-up AU)
I did frequently noted of their existence back then, but I didn't properly explained it...
In Wondaria, there are three classes of Magi:
Hero (inspired by magical warrior series such as Pretty Cure, Sailor Moon, Cutey Honey, etc.);
Performer (inspired by magical idol series such as Creamy Mami, Fancy LaLa, Magical Emi, etc.);
Helper (inspired by majokko series such as Ojamajo Doremi, Sweet Mint, Magical Fairy Persia, etc.)
Magic can be used to defend those in need, to entertain crowds, or to make lives easier; so the wondarians have created a class system where earthlings and outsiders can choose their own style.
Out of all three classes, the Hero one is the only one with a Magi Rank Scale, and is the most popular choice among the earthlings and refugees according to poll researches.
Performers motivate and hype up crowds with colorful and inspirational presentations in the hopes of recruiting more people to join Wondaria in their noble causes.
Helpers are public servers, such as teachers, medics, researchers, librarians, cooks, fortune tellers, and others. They help behind the scenes by providing basic needs and information for succesful missions.
As for the Fighting Egrets and the Azure Patrol, they are a league of their own, as they take care of bigger jobs to ensure the safety of anyone inside and outside Wondaria.
However, all of them share one thing in common: An Assigned Gemstone, helping people's bodies to adapt and accomodate to magic in a harmless and non-intrusive way, soothing minor pains and developing their own skills.
Each of these classes are important in their own unique way, and are respected on an equal amount. As you all already know, unity is key for a better future.

THE GIFTENING 2019: Heat #1
THE VOTING BEGINS. I’ve gathered together your nominations, and return to you now with hand-crafted artisinal polls. For most of them, you have TEN choices you can make from all the nominations (you have five for the Sailor Moon one as it’s a smaller list). Don’t worry about ranking order! The weighted voting will come later, right now we’re just wanting raw, hard numbers.
A few quick notes!
For the anime nominations, I tried to catch any shows that had been sent in with both their original and translated names. I may have missed a couple though. If you find any, please let me know.
Some things are listed in multiple categories. I left them in, assuming the nominator was also submitted for format preference. (For example, Madoka Rebellion was sent in for both anime, where it would be blogged, and movie, where it would be streamed.)
Anything Sailor Moon that was in other categories was moved to just Sailor Moon Day. (Person who nominated PGSM for everything, you know what you’re about and I salute you.)
I scrunched down the nominations for Sailor Moon Day so as to try and not split the votes. So nominations for specific anime episode liveblogs, for example, became just “Anime Liveblogs”, and we’ll hold a separate nomination/vote round for which episode(s) if that makes it through. I’ll automatically include in that future vote whatever specifics were put forward in the general nominations. There are a lot of specifics that didn’t really fit a general category though, so it’s a lot of playing by ear here. If this doesn’t seem like it worked out or doesn’t feel fair, I’ll do it a different way next year.
