We say good-bye to our beloved Pipe Creek and begin our trek north. A short hop outside on the sound takes us to Compass Cay, where we explore the shoreline, and then a beautiful shark interupts shower time. A longer hop up to Norman's Cay has us sailing through a squall, and a few very windy days later we sail for Allen's Cay, our last stop in the Exumas. It's not often you have to interrupt your shower to pet a shark who stops by for a little attention.

"Das ganze Leben ist ein ewiges Wiederanfangen." Hugo von Hofmannsthal So startet mein Tag. Die Sonne geht hier ganz gemütlich um 8.30 auf. Daran könnte ich mich gewöhnen. Gemütlich aufstehen und dann gucken. Ukulele zocken. Auf den Weg zum WC erstmal den Nachbarn ein kleines Konzert gespielt. Mein deutscher Nachbar, der nie da ist heißt zufällig Esperanza. Davon lassen wir uns jetzt mal nicht beeindrucken. Gestern haben wir noch diverse Dinge am Schiff repariert, unter anderen der Motor. Es lag an der Batterie. Der Kranmeister hat uns seine ausgeliehen und mit der ging es dann. Seine Batterie wollte er leider nicht verkaufen, der Shop hatte außerdem Montags zu und so verkaufte uns jemand anderes eine 110ah Batterie. Die dann wieder zum Schiff geschleppt, ausgetauscht , (So langsam werde ich stark) aber dann kam wieder nur der Klack Sound. Also die vom Kranmeister wieder ran, gestartet und die neue rangehängt und paar Stunden den Motor laufen lassen. Dann wollten wir los. Wetterbericht war top. Batterie war aber immer noch schlecht und beim Test sprang der Motor wieder nicht an. Also heute Batterie zurück bringen und im Shop eine neue kaufen. Manchmal ist es nicht so gut nachhaltig erst alte Dinge zu kaufen, aber ich habe es versucht. Je mehr wir am Schiff machen umso mehr gefällt mir der Kahn. Im Winter soll die Temperatur hier nicht so kalt werden wie in Deutschland und das Baguette hier ist top. Dazu Delfine, schöne Landschaften, ein Segelmacher und eine Segelschule. Könnte mir hier ganz gut gefallen. So ein Holz Kamin würde mir noch sehr gut im Schiff gefallen, aber davon träume ich schon lange. Unabhängigkeit ist schon was schönes. Nächsten Sommer grübel ich mir einen Katamaran zu kaufen wofür ich meine Najade 900 und Eol 30 dann verkaufen würde, falls jemand Interesse hat an einen soliden Segelschiff.
