The internet will try to convince you that this is your time to fall in love. Right when you finally pick yourself up from a bad break up and start to piece life back together on your own, for your own self, throwing out the dreams you dreamt together, pinning up the ones you have alone, the internet will show you sparkly specimens of someone in love, who (always the last person you'd imagine in a fairytale) has it all. Sappy posts with filters and ribbons on all the picture perfect moments will cry out to your loneliness, to your empty hostel room. Your bed is small but you think you would have made room for another? You've just two pillows, but you think you'd have shared. Come have a seat. I have just one cup, one tin of powdered milk and coffee mix. But if I shared wouldn't that be enough?

When you finally pick up the saggy ends of your self esteem and blow some positivity into it, telling it, "you're doing fine; look how far you've come!", the internet will show you pictures of people who've gone further. When you pride yourself on making it out of your hometown, when you force conviction at the thought of surviving on your own at a city of strangers, the internet will show you pictures of finer survivals at further away from home : at Paris, Berlin, Lisbon.

And finally there'll be people who have both. People who have both of the above and more. People who have more and are talented, established, getting a job, getting published, finding their calling, looking like goddesses and sea nymphs and stuff out of myths and legends or singing like the unforgettable song of sirens or trotting the globe without a care where you're lying in a room with all the world on your shoulders. There'll always be them and you will always be you. And somedays, you'll be fine but other days, you'll hate yourself for it.

The internet will try to convince you that this is your time to be everything all at once.

It's not.

I don't know what (if anything) would ever be enough, but l know for sure I've always had me when I stood on the cornerstone of nothing and everytime I came back to it, i had me and I made that be enough and I made something out of that nothing and even if it's something less than someone else's something, it's my something and I should love it so. I should feel enough.

That's what I want to learn now.

How to be, feel, love, live enough.
