Finding Home Part 6!!
They really left Leo alone in a room and thought he'd stay there, didn't they?
How much trouble do y'all think Leo will find on the surface? Alone... Without his swords... In a completely new place?

i'm constantly shocked by how casual people can be about music. playlists just running in the car, stopping in the middle of songs and then absentmindedly letting it pick back up in the middle later, taking one earbud out while talking to someone but the song is still playing, always listening to playlists and never albums... maybe i'm being judgmental but that's all crazy to me. how is this not sacred to you. how do you not care what song's gonna come after this one, how do you not factor in how much time you have so you don't have to cut a song or album off, how do you not get distracted by it constantly. don't you care.

“would you have chosen me, anyway?”
he stops, body frozen except for his hands—trembling as they are; aged and forever-ruined—and he turns only to see you looking away, hiding your face from his keen gaze.
there is something loaded in his silence, and when years crawl by he would look back to this moment and wonder why it took him so long to reply. to spill the reassurances on the tip of his tongue.
because this goodbye took so much from him. because he has, had, only one good thing in his life and yet, he had to let you go.
there is much to be said about a house of cards, after all—their toppling is inevitable.
“oh,” you say after a while. “oh.”
there is a hiccup, a sob stifled behind palms.
he jolts from where he stands—
“please, just go.”
he reels himself in, balling his hands into fists. he breathes in sharply, the weight of his grief pressing against his ribs, and walks away.
i’m sorry.
i’msorryi’msorryi’msorry.
