Over the next couple of years, her powers begin to come back, though they're unstable. She and her partner Lindsay McCabe end up in Madripoor and open their own P.I. firm, before returning to the states, where Jessica mentors the third Spider-Woman: Mattie Franklin.

v. family-woman. ⸻ heavily influenced by Spider-Woman 2015, Spider-Woman 2016, Captain Marvel 2019 and Spider-Woman 2020 ; she’s got her baby in this one !!! Only thing is, I really disagree with a lot that happens in her 2015 and 2016 runs — including her sudden decision to get pregnant ( I can go into reasons why but I won’t here LOL ). So, my favourite headcanon I have for Gerry is that he’s actually Clint Barton’s son — as I just see him and Jess still hooking up on occasion. If plotted beforehand, I’d most likely be willing to change this headcanon for something we’ve discussed. But, as it typically stands, Gerry secretly being Clint’s is my canon. Though, this is still a multi-ship verse.

finally remaking this as a proper intro post let’s gooooo

hi!!! call me story or stor; most people do. i got on tumblr about a year before the first porn ban and i haven’t been able to escape it since, and i’ve been writing fanfic since long before then (my ao3 is here if you’re curious, but you gotta have a registered account to read my stuff). i don’t have any dedicated sideblogs; i will force all my fandoms upon you and you will suffer.

speaking of fandoms, here’s a brief overview of what i’m into: - pokémon (it got me young and has dominated my life ever since) - various content creators (mostly on the mcyt side of things, though they’re not the only ones; some of them are depicted in the blorbo collage that is my header, but i can give a more detailed list if asked) - taylor swift (not to the extent of the nuttier sides of the fandom but my god i love her stuff) - marvel universe (used to be primarily mcu, but i’ve been leaning more towards avengers: earth’s mightiest heroes and the comics recently; my favorite series are probably runaways, avengers academy, squirrel girl, new avengers (2015), and S.W.O.R.D. (2020), and my favorite characters encompass a wide swath of the 'verse) - miraculous ladybug (i want to leave but i can’t, the one thing sustaining me is fan works) - ben 10 (one of my first fictional crushes, now one of my enduring favorite series) - maximum ride (my twilight saga, basically) - twisted wonderland (gotta love me some pretty boys with Issues™) - monster high (primarily G3 at the moment, though G1 formed a nice part of my childhood) - so many other things not covered here like goddamn

For the third year in a row, we’re getting a new X-Men team.  And that means the general public gets to vote in a member of the team.  2020 gave us Polaris, and last year gave us Firestar.

Now, I can’t even begin to tell you what happened in the year Firestar was on the team (since I haven’t really been keeping up with that series), but I am excited to see the nominees this year.  Armor (who had been nominated the past two years) is not here, instead replaced by another Asian American nominee, Jubilee.  Frenzy had been busy working with S.W.O.R.D., Prodigy with X-Factor Investigations, and Cannonball (last nominated in 2020) on X-Force.  Juggernaut was with Nightcrawler’s team of Legionnaires.

Of course, anyone who knows me and my Big Hero 6 history, knows who I’m going to be voting for.

Oh wait, wrong one.

Juniper Alison Blaire, AKA High Voltage Dazzler.

Both Dazzler and Jubilee have gotten renewed popularity with the X-Terminators comic (which is a whole different thing I’ll talk about later), and Dazzler has long been a constant with the X-Men.  It would be fantastic if she joined the main line-up.

Of course, I also thought Armor was going to win in each of the last 2 years, and look what happened with that.  While I would love for Alison to get in (and I am voting for her), it’ll probably be Juggernaut or Jubilee.

On the other hand, given everything that’s happened in the past year with Krakoa being attacked and Marvel teasing four “X-Men: Before The Fall” one shots...I’m beginning to suspect this will be the last election before things go south.

In any case, I hope Dazzler gets in.  But in the meantime...

I have some reading to catch up on.
