The SoA cast's schoolwork:

Rhythmi: Super ✨aesthetic✨, lots of different colours for pens and highlights, everything is neat and nice to look at. Lots of doodles in the margins too.

Isaac: Messy and ugly, never uses tippex/whiteout and just scribbles over his mistakes, probably only legible to him and him only, everything is tattered and falling apart. Kind of a miracle that he got such good grades with books so horrifically kept.

Kellyn: Neat as Hell but without the colour coding and cutesey handwriting seen in Rythmi's notes. Probably kind of freakishly tidy and well-kept, like his books are all brand new despite him having nearly filled the whole thing.

Keith: Some use of highlighting and other techniques but otherwise kinda messy. Handwriting is borderline illegible and books are usually falling apart. Still not as bad as Isaac though.

Kate: Probably the most normal notes if it wasn't for her ugly handwriting. It's at least legible this time, but it's just ugly.

So since I currently have no plans of finishing the story, especially as a tumblr blog, here’s the entire original plot to the story

Main Plot

* Aftereffects of the Dark Stone long-term exposure

* Anyone consistently keeping Tears of Princes shards on them has lessened/no effects (Issac, Reed, Kieth (in Fiore), Rythmi, Linda, Murph, Sven, Erma, Melody, Tory, Mom & Dad,)

* Foreign tourists/exchange not there long enough to succumb to affects, will hit after ~9 months-2 years

* Blake still affected due to internalized exposure of Dark Crystal

* Reed and Guardian Pokemon unaffected by weaponized affects due to internalized Tears of Princes

* Different team weaponizing affects to puppet Almia. Team Wolf has some way of focusing affects. Can, with difficulty, overcome ToP shards

* ToP and Dark Stone returned to guardians, regular cleansing of stone supposed to happen every 5 years, didn’t. Everyone believes they did

—Actual Story Beginning—

* Reed gets there, slowly notices something’s up (doing?)

* Ceri graduates Ranger School (done)

* Lab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D (Done)

* Team Wolf tries to get Reed to work like the others, Reed is Not Having It

* Ceri also starts noticing, talks to Reed about it.

* Affects adults more than kids???

* Reed brings Tory to the lab to keep her safe. Mom & Dad don’t even notice.

* Tory is understandably terrified

* Devon comes to say hi, decides to stay and help

* Ceri is NOT sharing a room, Devon and Reed end up rooming together again

* Trainers!! Yay!!

* Oh Shit, Trainers

* Tory becomes a trainer

* UN refuses to close Almia down despite Reed and Issac’s pleas

* Team Wolf decides to end them as a threat

* Reed decides to check again on the Dark Stone. Devon, Ceri, and Tory come with

More Ranger!Hop things now that I’m having him stand in for the MC of SoA for this blog’s au:

Hop and Keith were fast friends, and were known by many as the danger duo

Kincaid reprimanded them at least three times a day for running in the halls, but I mean c’mon he can’t deny that these two have the drive and spirit to become rangers.

Rythmi Hop and Keith made the pledge by the pledge stone.

Odd, Marnie, Bede, and Hop’s family all travelled to Almia for Hop’s graduation. That would be the last time he saw them in person until he would open a branch of the Union in Galar.

Let’s be honest, the moment Elaine saw Hop’s rotom phone, she wanted to take it apart to see how it worked.

Rotom zapped her for it.

Crawford reminds Hop of Leon. Primarily the bad jokes.

Hop is probably the one who “ugh”s the loudest when Crawford cracks a pun, though.

Hop and Odd have a system for their phones that kicks in when one of them is in trouble(mainly when Odd gets kidnapped by a Pokémon). Basically Rotom will send their location to the other phone. When Hop left the region for school, they configured it to only send locations when there was an emergency where they couldn’t call someone else.

The first time Hop got a ping after that, he was on patrol with Luana. Turns out there was no emergency, Odd’s rotom simply panicked, but Luana and Hop had fun meeting/introducing Odd either way.

After that Luana joined Hop in calling Odd and the others after work.

Hop got along well with Barlow, though he was reprimanded several times for getting hurt saving a person or Pokémon, in particular getting burned during thw Vien Forest fire.

Reached that perhaps-inevitable stage of quarantine where I ponder how my OCs would be coping, and realized that in the Pokemon world, presuming a virus that pokemon are immune to, people who had well-enough-behaved humanoid pokemon would send them to do their grocery shopping.

Rowena crouching in front of her lucario, with an empty jar of peanut butter in her hands, trying to convey both verbally and in her aura how imperative it is that Lucario pick up smooth peanut butter and not crunchy.

#lucario returns with some of each bc he just swept an armful off the shelves realizing #that HE would get to eat the kind that rowena doesn't like. rowena is begrudgingly impressed with his deviousness #zoe hangs grocery bags on her sawsbuck's antlers and sends it and emboar off with her credit card like #'if they wipe my bank account then they wipe my bank account. that's a risk i have to accept' #noelle is out on assignment in the wilderness and comes back after three weeks to find that she missed almia being locked down #rangers are essential workers so noelle is like. pros of lockdown: less people getting themselves into trouble. #cons: have not seen a human face in weeks. all the ranger operators are working from home and i KNOW #that when i call her asking for navigation coordinates that rythmi is lying on the couch in her pajamas while she relays an assignment
