Rune Pull of the Day for 7th November 2022!

Today, we are joined by Tewiaz (Bottom/Past) and Raido - Reversed (Top/Present/Future)!

Tewiaz shows us that in the past, we receive victory and worked on making ourselves balanced in how we see ourselves and the world around us. We put the effort in and after self-sacrificing who we truly are, we finally decided to put ourselves first for ourselves and balance our energies - equal give and take.

Raido (Top/Present/Future) shows us that in the present and the future, we are going to feel a bit delayed and like nothing is shifting. Though we should not worry or panic as the universe puts pauses in our journey to show us what we really desire and how much effort will be needed to achieve our goals. Be wary of regressing into the past or falling back into old patterns during this time - as the journey may be difficult, but the outcome will be well worth it if we push through to the end!

Teiwaz and Raido (Reversed) show us that we have balanced ourselves for the future in a way that protects ourselves but also allows us to support others. But we must be wary of falling back into old patters of helping others over ourselves or falling into our victim complex to feel safe. The journey may be difficult, but we have the power and balance to push through - we just need to make sure we are prepared for the difficulty that we will face but if we've put the effort in, nothing can hinder us as we'll turn it into a learning experience to push us further along our path!

Bog-wood Fuþorc Rune Readings

The Runes I use were imported from England and are made from Irish Bog Oak. Over the course of centuries and centuries, the wood turns black due to the preservative process of peat bogs. They are Anglo-Saxon or Fuþorc Rune carvings.

The Anglo-Saxons were members of Continental Germanic tribes that settled in England between the 5th century and the Norman Conquest.

They had their own Runic Poem consisting of 26 to 33 letters. In this poem, they outlined not only their alphabet but also the symbolic meaning of each of those letters. I use the first 29 letters, excluding later additions like Calc (Chalice), Gar (Spear), Cweorth (Fire), and Stan (Stone).

Mannaz is the rune of "mankind". The rune of the person, the self, community, the greater good, rationality and mental development.
