I’ve been watching more of the iCarly revival and realized that I don’t ship Seddie and Lucaya (from Girl Meets World) for the same reason: the female in the ship (Sam and Maya) are too abusive towards the male (Lucas and Freddie) for my comfort. In the original iCarly series, Sam was physically abusive towards Freddie constantly. In Girl Meets World, Maya constantly put down and demeaned Lucas. Whereas Carly and Riley actually like Freddie and Lucas for who they were.

i really need to do a girl meets world rewatch so badly it's been years but idk where to watch ugh back when I watched I was against lucaya and 100℅ rucas/joshaya/riarkle but after watching clips and stuff I think I might ship lucaya now like I'd have to rewatch to know 100℅ but I'm older now and I've changed my opinions on so many ships the last two years!! I just discussed not liking l/m a little bit ago with two mutuals but that's based on my opinions from like 2017 when the show ended but no matter if I ship lucaya now or not, nothing will surpass my love for rucas/joshaya/riarkle!! or rilaya for that matter!! I know this isn't important but yeah lol I might reblog some gmw here soon because I miss it and wish it didn't get cancelled!!

Alright, I may get shot down completely for this but I think most of the Girl Meets World fans COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTAND the love triangle.

Now I know that sounds like an exaggeration but trust me with all the posts I've seen about it, it very much is not.

All of the people saying lucaya should've been endgame are 100% missing how the love triangle happened and even the end results, which were that Maya and Lucas didn't even like each other in that way.

The entire triangle stems from Maya's identity crisis where she loses herself and becomes more like Riley, and when she becomes like Riley she starts to experience Riley's feelings for Lucas to make sure he's good for her. And because she's becoming like Riley and also Riley saying her and Lucas are "siblings" (they are not), Lucas starts liking Maya as well.

The whole resolution to the triangle is Maya refinding herself and realizing that she never liked Lucas romantically, and Lucas realizing that he likes Riley, always has and always will, and he only liked Maya because she was Riley at the time.

And at the end of the day it doesn't even matter, because the real point was to show that no matter what they go through, Riley and Maya are still best friends and will always be best friends and will always be there for each other.

Also I feel like I should mention how Josh fits into this because that is also a thing that people get wrong. Josh isn't the bad guy in this situation, and Maya isn't wrong to like him. Three years isn't a very big age gap, especially when Maya is much more mature than her age would typically be. And Josh isn't a groomer for saying he'll wait, either. I know some people have big issues with that, but to me it's a really sweet and smart way to go about things and not any kind of evil or irredeemable action.

(For the record, I'm not anti- any of the ships here. I'm not anti-lucaya, anti-joshaya, anti-rucas, or even anti-riarkle. I don't care what you ship, I just want people to understand this story and why things ended up how they did in regards to these ships and characters)

Riley Matthews being aro?

Yesterday I had a thought, what if the whole time Riley was actually aro? That'd explain why she was so awkward when she try out to be with Lucas for real and also why she didn't want to date Charlie either.

We never got either during the whole show, her having a real crush on someone and saying she wanna pursue it, except for her daydreaming about Lucas but only early season 1.

Unless other characters like Maya had the fastest crush on Josh, Lucas liked both girls, Farkle and Smakle, and even Ava and Auggie (them being young is another topic but just to show almost every character got to have a love interest at one point except Riley).

I might be totally wrong but it's what I thought of yesterday night. Let me know what you think x

It's 2023 and boredom is real so fuck it: RUCAS HEADCANONS

Riley has a habit of grabbing Lucas' face whenever they kiss. Lucas has a love/hate relationship with it.

Riley is the one person Lucas feels comfortable talking to about his bad home life and problems with his dad.

Lucas was severely sleep deprived during the triangle both due to the triangle and his aforementioned bad home life.

Lucas often comes in through Riley's window at night as Riley makes it clear that her place will always be a safe place for him to no matter how late it is at night.

Lucas is just as (if not more) insecure as Riley.

Lucas feels that Cory is more of a father to him than his own father. But he'll never actually say this.

Lucas loves how much of an activist Riley is, and silently listens to her rant about her various different causes.

Riley only likes swearing when he does it.

Lucas never liked Maya in a romantic way but didn't say anything as he didn't want to hurt Maya. But he later recognized that this wasn't the best course of action to say the least.

Lucas and Riley both end up going to college in Texas, and ultimately decide to settle down there.

Lucas acting out in Texas was an effect of his dad's emotional abuse. Riley understands, and does her best to comfort him.

Riley and Lucas Nothing Compares To You

Here is my new video of Riley and Lucas. I like go think that eventually when Riley and Lucas were old enough that Lucas would ended up asking Riley to Marry him. There would be a chance maybe Riley and Lucas ended up breaking up with each other for several months or a couple years but they ended up founding their way back together. They would ended up getting married together and they would ended up having children. One of their kids may ended up would ended up loving horses and they would try to get Riley and Lucas to get him or her one. I could see Riley and Lucas letting their kids to be who their children are meant to be. I think that one of their kids also may ended up being bullied just Riley but Riley and Lucas will ended up teaching all of their children to stand up for themselves when they are come face to face with a bully.

alright so i may add onto this but here are some of my possibly controversial disney opinions

• i don’t ship anyone in girl meets world. not one ship besides katie x shawn and cory x topanga i like, but those are adults and married couples

• kc cooper is lowkey selfish and her perfectionist self makes her toxic. i know she doesn’t try to be but she feels like she needs to have control of everything and always thinks she knows best. i get that she’s smart and knows how to complete missions but she like never gives someone else a chance

• elite force ruined everyone’s character development like?? oliver became super creepy towards skylar, bree is like more of a brat, chase becomes extra annoying in a way? like i don’t hate any of the characters and i still love LR: EF but they ruined everyone’s development through lab rats and mighty med

• liv and holden should have been endgame and i blame maddie for their breakup. i mean liv wanted to make things right with holden but maddie stopped her just because she didn’t want diggie to know that she had moved on?? i feel so bad for liv and holden. they were right person, wrong time, but maddie shouldn’t have done that to liv

• why did they all of a sudden add this random ship to i didn’t do it with logan and jasmine? it came out of nowhere and it just went way too fast. disney has a way of pushing ships like that

• i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again. out of all the lab rats and mighty med characters, chase is the least fruity. i don’t understand why people make him trans or gay. just because he gets along well with kaz doesn’t mean he has a crush on him. to be honest, chase would have started out the show being homophobic but end up being an ally in the end, but i don’t see an ounce of gay in him

• i actually really like artie from liv and maddie. he adds a dynamic to the show that just makes you laugh and it’s hard to hate him even though that’s the point of his character. you can tell he and joey love each other deep down but they compete a lot and claim they hate each other. andy, artie, josh, holden and willow are some awesome characters and were such great friends to the rooneys

• not an opinion but i have never hated a character more than bree from zombies. like she just annoys me SO much

A Third Fake Business

Pairings: Riley Matthews x Lucas Friar

Summary: Based on Season 1, Episode 10 - Girl Meets Crazy Hat. A third fake business comes into operation but it's not The Matthews and Hart Umbrella Foundation.

Half the class was still rolling on the sugar high from Farkle's 'cupcakes'.

So the day after, when everyone was coming down from their sugar high. The fake businesses when from two to three, without anybody noticing.

Cory declared the fake companies lesson was finished (which Farkle wasn't happy about), and announced the winner.

Looking at where Farkle Minkus was currently sat in his chair. Riley stood behind him, with a raised eyebrow and a similar posture to Topanga, with Maya and Lucas stood by the desk, backs facing the window.

"In first place," Cory started with a surprising drumroll from the rest of the class. "Riley,"

Said youngest was proud of herself, as Farkle stood up from Mr. Matthews chair. "Farkle and Riley," he says.

"No, Farkle. Just me," Riley says. "Seeing as though you were too blind for money, I decided to take my business into my own hands. You can have two businesses, right daddy?"

"Whatever you say, sweetie," Cory replied.

Farkle was stumped for a moment. "What sells better than sugar?"

"Only one thing," Riley replied. "Oh, Auggie!" In came her 5-year-old brother, fresh out of his half day at school, and Riley picked him up. "Cuteness sells better than sugar."

Cory was impressed.

"That's against the rules!" Farkle declared.

"You never said anything about another business, Mr. Matthews," Maya chimes in, a smirk on her face. Clearly the blonde was rubbing off a bit on Riley.

Cory tried to find the words. "Who's funding this?"

"I went over your head," Riley says, putting Auggie down and stood next to her father.

"You went to grandma?" He asked.

Riley giggled, resting a hand on his shoulder. "No, I went to THE boss," she emphasised. "Mom!" Riley called, and in walked Topanga.

Riley's face brightened, as Topanga stood to the side of Auggie, proud of her daughter.

Lucas swapped places with Maya, so he was now stood next to Riley. "Impressive," he tells her.

"Sometimes he forget my mother is Topanga Matthews," Riley says, looking over her shoulder at her father.
