Ruby rushed to Weiss's side and tackle hugged Weiss in the middle of a battle, and just look at how soft Weiss is for her dolt. How can you say these two don't love each other?

Yangs record with having a good relationship with parents is TERRIBLE and she had THREE CHANCES
Like 2 left her 1 neglected her there’s NO way she’s gonna be chill about meeting Blake’s parents
I’m 100% a “nobody told Blake about Raven believer” as well as a “Yang has never so much as come out to her family just expected them to know and wont directly tell any one that she’s dating Blake till she’s handing out wedding invites and even then they won’t talk about it” believer

I love your fics!! Could you do a Lockwood x reader fanfic for illicit affairs? Like the reader could be related to someone high up in DEPRAC or Fittes and Lockwood doesn’t want people to know they’re tgt bc he’d be accused of trying to get favours or smthin but reader rlly wants ppl to know n is getting fed up with hiding. A healthy dose of angst would be 10/10 <3
ILLICIT AFFAIRS
Tumblr media
pairing: Anthony Lockwood x reader
warnings: mentions of sexual themes
summary: you want to make your relationship public, anthony doesn’t. you don’t think you can accept that any longer, but at least for tonight you can
note: i loved this ask!! illicit affairs is one of my favorite songs of ms taylor!! i’ve decided to split it into two parts, just because it feels better for me. part two will be out tomorrow!!
part 2: tomorrow
"why does it matter anyway?" Anthony asked and you could hear the desperation in his voice
"it matters to me, Anthony" you answered calmly, tired of all the fighting you both had done in the past week. it wasn't like you always fought, this wasn't a usual state for your over two year relationship.
you were used to a loving, considerate boy and you knew that he would do anything for you. just not that one thing and that's why it wasn't enough for you.
you continued to fight while you walked around the room, collecting your items of clothing.
"y/n, please" Anthony sat down on his bed "we've been over this, I explained it to you more than a million times"
"I know" you replied tiredly
"let's just not fight anymore" he stood up and brought you close to his body
"okay" you muttered and you hated yourself for always giving in. you just loved him too much to maintain you restrain.
you put on your jacket and walked to the door
"make sure nobody sees you leave" it almost pained him to say what he always said
"no one will see me" it pained you to reply what you always replied
***
you were sitting at the large table in the entrance hall of the house you lived in. you nearly jumped to your feet when you noticed Anthony and his friends walking into the room.
they were led into the hall by your father, the son of Marissa Fittes. that was merely Anthonys problem about your relationship, he didn't want anyone to think he was just dating you for favours, you had told him a million times that that was rubbish and he argued a million times that it would matter. you could never agree on the matter.
you noticed Penelope walk in behind the agency and you felt it was rude to just sit and watch, so you stood up, flowing the material of your dress, as you joined your sisters side.
"I'm sure you've already heard of them, but these are my daughters" your father introduced you both "Penelope and y/n"
you expressed your greeting, Anthony's eyes staying a bit too long on your face. your father cleared his throat and you lost the boy's attention.
“Lockwood and co are our special guests for the ball tonight, that’s the least we could offer, after the job they did for us last year”
there had been a rather big problem in one of the houses your family owned. the haunting had be caused by a scandal, a forbidden relationship that escalated in the walls of the house and led to one of the affair partners dying at the hands of the other. your family had been able to suppress all the runout and stop any information on going out, but they had to get rid of the problem nonetheless.
that had been when your father had found the little three people agency. they had promised to get rid of your problem as quietly as possible. nothing ever got out.
that’s actually how you had met Anthony. because unbeknownst to your father, and not allowed you often spend time in the garden of the haunted mansion. that’s were you had first met Anthony, you remembered it like it had been yesterday
***
you were sitting in the garden, picking flowers. the golden august sun was displaying on your features and warming your skin. your dress was flowing a bit from the wind and your hair would now and then flutter in front of your face
"oh hello" a voice suddenly said, noticing you between the high grown grass
it was a boy, he was about your age and despite the summer heat, he was wearing a suit and a long black coat on top of it
"hi" you smiled, laying your head to the side and further inspecting him. his hair was short, and his skin was light, which made the dark circles under his eyes even more prominent.
“eh— i’m Lockwood, Anthony Lockwood” his hand jolted forward and you shook it while you grinned at him
“n/n” you said “just n/n”
ever since then he had found you intriguing, how you would sit in high grown grass in front of a haunted mansion, peacefully picking flowers. that’s why he loved you, you mostly did the things you did out of pure joy for them.
after your first meeting it seemed that Anthony Lockwood would just not leave your mind. you had found out later that it had been similar to him, always thinking about you in that dress, sitting in a field of flowers.
so you started to meet every few weeks, casually talking on your run to arif’s, or meeting each other on the street. coincidental meetings turned into dates and you spend more and more time with each other.
but as much as you wanted to tell the whole world, Anthony wanted to keep it a secret. even to Lucy and George, you weren’t more than friends to them.
***
“can i come in?” you asked after you had knocked on the door softly. there were some muffled words you couldn’t quite make out, but it sounded like a yes, so you slowly opened the wooden door.
“n/n” Anthony smiled, ushering you into the room he would spent the night in, and closing the door behind you “what are you doing?”
“i wanted to see you” you spoke softly, gripping his tie with both your hands. his hands wandered to your waist almost naturally “and i wanted to ask you if you’d like to accompany to the ball later… maybe we could slip away later”
“it’s a bit risky, don’t you think?”
“isn’t that what makes it fun in the first place?” you brought him down by his tie, his lips meeting yours. you deepened the kiss, walking you backwards and enjoying the control you had over him
Anthony laid on the bed, while you sat on top of him, straddling his waist. “we shouldn’t do this, y/n”
you raised your brows, slipping off your dress, leaving you only in your underwear
“okay, maybe we can be quick”
you giggled and rushed forward, crashing your lips onto his.
maybe you would always give in when he was telling you to, but at least you had the same hold over him, neither one could resist the other and that was part of the dangerous game you were playing.
and you didn’t know it yet, but you were about to lose.

Violets and Rabbits
Legend and Ravio reunite after months apart.
It had been a long, long few months. The Chain had had little time for rest and they’d been nowhere close to finding reprieve with any friendly faces in any of the eras they’d been dumped in. Everyone was tired, sore, and more than a little grumpy as they pushed themselves through yet another portal. They kept their weapons at the ready; being dropped in the middle of a monster camp or hostile situation one too many times had made them more than a little wary.
It was thus an unexpected surprise to step out into an empty clearing, the surrounding woods quiet except for the echo of birdsong. No one relaxed just yet, though- they’d been caught off-guard enough in similar situations that a moment of peace was suspicious. After a few tense minutes passed without something happening, however, weapons began to lower as the Chain cautiously allowed themselves to relax.
“Anyone have an idea for whose Hyrule we’re in?” Time called after a quick headcount. Everyone except Four and Hyrule seemed to be doing fine, and even those two were recovering quickly. One less thing to worry about, then. The Chain took that time to look around and see if they recognized anything in their immediate surroundings.
“...It’s mine,” Legend confirmed after about a minute. He went to take a step only to stagger and have to brace himself on a nearby tree. He swore under his breath, waving off a concerned Warriors. “Jus’ my stupid joints. The constant portals made ‘em worse than usual. Gimme a minute, I’ll be fine.” The admission didn’t stop Wars’ hovering but he did at least try to stop being too obvious about it, knowing the Vet hated being coddled.
Eventually they started moving, Legend taking the lead with Warriors right behind him. It didn’t take long before they found themselves leaving the cover of the trees to step onto a firm dirt road. Legend took a moment to look around before setting off down it, his expression settling into badly-hidden hopeful excitement. The rest of them hurried to keep up, Twilight and Warriors exchanging grins. That expression could only mean one thing.
Sure enough, within minutes a cozy little cottage came into view, smoke puffing merrily from the chimney. A large sign decorated with purple lettering sat on the thatched roof, and plants flowed over the walls and along the path. As they drew nearer, the door opened to reveal a person in a hooded purple robe, and Legend’s breath caught.
The figure looked up and gasped. “Link!” The Chain exclaimed in surprise as Legend broke into a sprint. The hooded figure did the same, running up the path to meet Legend halfway.
They collided, wrapping their arms around each other with relieved sounds. They stayed like that for a moment before Legend pulled back, taking Ravio’s face in his hands and looking over him worriedly.
“No one tried anything, did they? The knights-?” Ravio shook his head.
“No, no, I’m okay. What about you?”
Legend gave a short, bitter laugh. “Who cares?!”
“I do!” Ravio leaned forward and kissed away the tears that had gathered in his partner’s eyes. Then he gave a surprised laugh as Legend grabbed his waist and lifted him up to spin them both around.
The Chain watched in surprise as the two of them spun, laughing in delight. They slowed after a few moments, Legend putting Ravio down but not letting go. Ravio wrapped his arms around him again as they leaned into each other. He pressed a kiss to Legend’s hair, humming contentedly. There was a moment of peace before Twilight whooped and Wind let out a piercing whistle, making them jump.
Legend grumbled, burying his face in Ravio’s shoulder. “Your family is easily amused, Mr. Hero,” his partner chuckled. “Aren’t you going to invite them in? It would be rude to just leave them out here, you know.”
The Veteran just growled. “If I don’t look at them, they’re not there.”
Ravio burst out laughing. He pressed one last kiss to Legend’s temple before pulling away and waving to the eight heroes standing further up the path. They quickly made their way towards them, laughing and jeering good-naturedly. Legend just scowled, though he brightened when Ravio took his hand, which only elicited more teasing. The Veteran ignored them and started walking, tugging the merchant back towards the house.
“Feel free to make yourselves at home! I won’t even charge for room and board!” Ravio called over his shoulder as they passed through the door. The heroes gladly took the invitation, filing after the couple and settling in with the knowledge of at least one night of safety and comfort. Packs and weapons were leaned against the wall and shoes piled in the hallway at Ravio’s insistence.
As for their hosts, the two of them put themselves to setting up the house for their guests, passing between the hall closet and the living room where most of the Chain was gathered. They rarely strayed far from each other’s side, keeping some form of contact at all times: from a hand on a shoulder or waist, to linked arms, to a gentle headbump once or twice when their hands were too full.
The gathered heroes couldn’t help but smile at the sight. Their prickly brother rarely allowed himself to be so soft or physically affectionate, so it was a rare treat when he did.
By now, Legend and Ravio had moved to the kitchen - shooing Wild out from where they’d attempted to start dinner - and from the sound of it had started their own preparations. A few moments later soft humming drifted through the house, interspersed with muffled laughter and chatter.
Warriors leaned back in his chair as he listened to the sounds of his brother’s happiness, closing his eyes with a soft smile. Already he could feel himself unwinding, the stress from the road melting away in the warm, homey atmosphere that enveloped the house. He could only imagine how it felt for Legend. It was clear how much he loved Ravio, and try as they might their brothers couldn’t compare to the feeling of coming home to a loved one. The Veteran had been away from home longer than the rest of them, and looking back it was easy to see the distance and separation taking its toll.
His musing was interrupted by the subject of his thoughts reentering the room, followed by a fragrant cloud of what smelled like fresh bread.
“Dinner’ll be ready in about an hour,” Legend announced, moving to sit on one of the plush chairs by the fire and sinking into it with a relieved sigh. By the looks of it he didn’t plan to move anytime soon; Wars couldn’t blame him. Between the numerous fights and constant walking, the Veteran’s joints must be making their displeasure known with a vengeance. He was sure someone - at the very least Ravio or Hyrule - would make sure Legend took something to ease the pain before bed. Nobody liked seeing one of their own hurting.
Speaking of Ravio, he appeared from the kitchen to sweep through the living room with a swish of purple robes to Legend’s chair, waiting for his partner to lift his arms before sitting on his lap and cuddling close. Legend wrapped his arms around him with a soft smile.
“So, Link tells me you had an exciting few weeks,” Ravio mentioned. Wind immediately groaned, taking a deep breath to complain extensively about their recent travels. The rest of them chuckled, settling in for a night of good food, comfortable beds, and more-or-less pleasant chatter. Warriors glanced at the couple across the fire and caught Legend’s eye, giving him a smile. His chest warmed when it was returned, and he sat back to enjoy the evening surrounded by his family.

I'm not sry for going a little unhinged over the cut RWBY V9 epilogue [lighthearted], especially over Qrow. You don't know how much it means to me that he's ok. He is my ultimate blorbo. I was so scared that he was gonna spiral into severe depression and alcoholism and it was gonna destroy me bcus of my hyperempathy for him. Instead I get destroyed by how pleasantly surprised I am that he's actually trying so hard to hope
He's still carrying his losses and things are pretty bad but he's *trying*, he's trying so hard to see the good in things, he has a support system that he can count on and is working to support others
And compare this to how Qrow used to be, the lone wolf who isolated himself from others bcus he was so scared of hurting them with his Semblance, who drank his troubles away no matter how much it hurt himself or those who loved him, who has experienced sm trauma and pain and loss throughout his life and recently... and he's *grown*. He's grown and changed sm and he's trying so so hard
Qrow is a character who means a lot to me (for reasons I can neither understand nor articulate). And to see how he's grown and changed and how he *wants* to hope no matter how hard it is makes me so so *so* proud of him

absolute standout for episode 7 has to be the relationship between kit and elora <3 the way they are each other’s mirrors, they need each other to become who they have always known they were meant to be, against every lie that has told them that they cannot.
”Nothing I’ve ever wanted has come naturally to me.” ”What did you want?” ”To be brave, and loved, and to not be a princess.” ”It’s funny, I sort of did.”
they always knew, but they needed each other to realise it. kit needed elora to become brave enough to be honest, vulnerable, to love. elora needed kit to become brave enough to be confident, convicted, to truly believe in herself and in the power of magic that is good and true.
”You’re afraid, so am I. But you know what? My fear, it doesn’t get to decide. It doesn’t get to define me. I’m not giving it the power, I’m giving it to you. I have never believed in anything, my whole life, I believe in you.”
LOVE AND COURAGE THROUGH FRIENDSHIP FOREVER AND ALWAYS <3

Yes yes we’re all well aware of the beautiful mirroring of Blake and Ruby and how they’re incredibly similar especially in childhood it’s amazing and heartbreaking and we love it
But we never talk about how how this also goes for Yang and Weiss!!!!! Their childhoods were also INCREDIBLY similar however instead of having happy childhoods that got ruined they both had no childhood and finally got to experience childlike happiness when they got older
Weiss and Yang both were put under immense pressure at a young age Weiss because of her family’s expectations yang because her family was falling apart and they needed her
Endless cycles of routine and stress Yang says what she wanted out of being a huntress was to not know what she was going to do each morning to have adventure to be responsible for your family’s well being means you are always adhering to others needs means you can’t have plans means you have to wake up knowing exactly what you have to do that day and it’s dreadful and Weiss’s life was preplanned out for her to the letter she couldn’t step out of line for a second she couldn’t exist in any space that wasn’t decided for her
And then there’s being lonely they are both incredibly lonely they are both putting up facades they both live with big families that are so dysfunctional they’re still completely alone I mean yangs families so big you have to use three names to refer to it and yet she still was the one to raise Ruby
We see weiss practicing fake smiles we’ve seen yang perfecting them she has said disingenuous “I’m fine”s so much in the series you could start a drinking game
Then they go to beacon and they get a new family a perfect family for them Yang doesnt even have to worry about leaving Ruby behind because she’s there two it’s amazing Weiss gets bunk beds and friends and break the rules she breaks out of the mindset that she was forced into Yang gets to relax (despite Ruby giving her consent heart attacks with how much danger she’s always in) she meets blake who she loves and wants to be around all the time who encourages her to let Ruby deal with problems on her own and she’s perfectly happy and content just being around and nothing else
And then it all gets YANKED AWAY FROM THEM
I’m sorry if this makes no sense it’s getting very late

I love your stories! Whats your favourite so far?
I feel like theres not enough kipps fics so could you do one with the song paper rings?
—paper rings
Tumblr media
pairing: quill kipps x reader
summary: you and quill have been together so long, you're practically married by now. all this time and quill is still trying to muster up the strength to ask you the question of questions
warnings: none
authors note: thank you so much! I think one of my favs is actually "peace", because I live for those private moments with a loved one (and sometimes a bit of angst too)
"hey!" you called softly upon noticing the group make its way out the huge house
"y/n!" Quill called back, walking forward and engulfing you in a hug, plastering a few quick kisses on your mouth he smiled, stepping back "what are you doing here?"
you smiled nonchalantly "I thought you guys could need something to eat" you looked behind Quill, noticing Lockwood walking out. his eyes searched the place and a smile entered his face upon seeing you.
"hi" he called, hugging you quickly
"hey, Tony" you smiled. you were the only one who was officially allowed to call him that. "I made your favourite" your hand went into your bag and you pulled out a packaged pb+j sandwich
"oh, y/n" Lockwood grinned "you're a saint"
you laughed at his expression. Quill grinned at you bitterly, but you could cheer him up a bit by taking out his favourite from your bag "thank you, darling"
Lockwood and Quill watched you go down the row of agents (Lucy, George, Kat, Bobby and Ned) handing each one their favourite sandwich and smiling upon the joy they send you
you had first met Lockwood when he was just twelve years old. you were seventeen at the time and had started dating Quill. Quill wasn't especially happy about your loving relationship with the younger boy, but he quickly understood that you loved Lockwood like a sister would.
Lockwood looked up to you and since meeting, you had become the only family he had left. visiting him and making sure he was save, caring for him when he was ill.
your care never vanished and eventually Quill understood the importance of your relationship. but..he still continued to dislike the boy.
"you better marry her" Lockwood muttered while eating his sandwich and Quill watched in silent happiness how you looked up from your bag and found his eyes across the yard, smiling at him.
"of course I will" Quill rolled his eyes at the boy, who had a bit of peanut butter stuck on his left cheek
"well, its taking you remarkably long" Lockwood shrugged
"listen, Tony. just because y/n's playing mommy for you doesn't mean you have a say in our relationship"
Lockwood raised his eyebrows in confusion "y/n isn't playing mommy for me, Kipps"
you had made your way back without them noticing, not really listening to what they were saying "oh, sweetheart, you've got something on your cheek" before he could protest, you had licked your finger and got rid of the peanut butter from his cheek
Quill's features grew into a toothy grin as his eyes found Lockwood's
"just this once" Lockwood muttered and Quill watched as he took another bite from the sandwich. Lockwood noticed Quill watching him and quickly wrapped up the sandwich "not that hungry"
"oh, that's weird" you exclaimed worryingly "you're always hungry after a mission. are you getting a cold?" you stepped forward, about to take his temperature with your lips, but Lockwood stepped back
"its fine, y/n" he said quickly, walking away from you both
"well, what's going on with him?" you asked Quill, who just shrugged
"as if I would know"
***
"do I really have to come with?" you were practically dragging Quill through the streets of london, while you listened to his pleading about being allowed to return back home.
"yes" you smiled "you're my-" you paused, thinking "assistant"
you unlocked the door with your key and went inside, waiting for your boyfriend to follow you "yeah, sure, assistant, as if i'm normally allowed in the kitchen"
"haha" you took off your coat and hung it up, walking down the steps to the kitchen, you ordered Quill to sit down at the table. "I brought a magazine" you took out the magazine and handed it to him, giggling as he rolled his eyes with affection
"if you need me, i'll be just sitting here, with absolutely no purpose"
"thank you, that's all I need from you" you started taking out your mothers old cookbook and began to search for the ingredients, luckily having brought everything you were sure, couldn't be found in the kitchen of portland row
you finished up cooking about two hours later, Quill having finished the magazine and started asking you unnecessary questions instead. eventually, he was helping you set the table as the front door got unlocked.
"hey" George smiled when he entered the kitchen "Kipps" he greeted upon noticing the older boy
closely behind was Lucy, who stepped around the bespectacled boy to hug you and give Quill an high-five
"hey" Lockwood smiled as he finally entered the kitchen as well
"how was the case?" you asked while you shooed them to finally sit down and start their meal. Quill and you were sitting across, beginning to eat as well
"eventful" said George
"and long" added Lucy, throwing a glance at the clock
"I'm sure you did great" you smiled encouraginly and Quill noticed how everyone seemed to switch into a little better mood at your words
"thank you for this, y/n" Lockwood smiled "...and Quill" he added "you really shouldn't have"
"you told me the case wouldn't be easy, so I thought I could at least make the night a little more easy for you guys. after you've finished I want to see you all go to bed. it's already super late and god knows you need the sleep" you immediately noticed the growing protests coming from the teenagers "I'll even do a bed control to make sure you've all listened"
"Kipps" the three whined at almost the same time
"oh now you want me to help you?" Quill grinned from ear to ear "nah, you've heard the lady"
so against all their protests, they went up to their rooms after dinner.
"I think some day you'll be a great mother" Quill smiled fondly
you turned your head and looked at him, intertwining your fingers across the table "so will you" he raised his brows "obviously a good father, you know what I mean"
he laughed at your annoyed expression, before he turned his arm, looking at his watch "it's been ten minutes"
"alright" you said, getting up and leaving the kitchen to do the previously announced bed control. Quill smiled to himself as he watched you leave
***
you were sitting in bed, reading, while Quill was lying next to you, just watching your face change it's expression every time the scene changed
"hey, y/n?" he asked softly and waited until you had put the book to rest in your lap
"yeah, Quill?" you pursed your lips smiling at the man
"will you marry me?"
you opened your mouth slowly, stunned by his words. he turned around to grab something from off the bedside table. it wasn't anything fancy, not a big ring or a shining diamond. it was a little self-made paper ring
"I know it's not nearly as good as the ones you used to make, but I thought you would like it"
you smiled softly, tearing up "of course I like it" you sobbed "and yes, obviously I will marry you" you outstretched your hand, letting him slip the ring onto your finger
you leaned forward, taking his face into your hands and kissed him softly
"this was more perfect than anything I could've imagined, Quill" you said, still stunned at what was happening
you were amazed at how well he knew you, not doing anything big or fancy or god forbid in public with loads of people watching. he knew that you liked those quiet moments, times you would spend alone with those closest to you
"I thought you would like this" he laughed
you both stayed up half the whole night, discussing how your wedding would be, who you would invite (Quill begrudgingly nodded at Lockwood being one of the first people you had suggested), how you would decorate the location and overall how big the festivity should be
"now we only have to get a real ring for you"
"are you kidding? i will never take this off" you replied cheerfully, posing your hand in the air. "you're the one that I want, I'd even marry you with paper rings"
"oh god, what have I started?" Quill asked, burying his head in the pillow. you laughed at his antics, still admiring the little folded ring
"okay, what if we get you an actual ring and we frame that one? so nothing will happen to it, what do you think?"
"sounds like a plan" you shrugged
you made yourself comfortable in his arm, you were excited to go look for a beautiful ring, but for tonight you would wear the paper ring, and that made your heart swell with joy
