Just thinking about how Lian doesn’t look like Roy’s child right off the bat. She does how ever look like she could be Jason’s child. This causes an unfortunate situation where the staff at the daycare she attends thinks that Roy is trying to kidnap her.

(Jason does most of the pick ups and drop off since his ‘job’ are usually night time activities or things he can schedule are Lian and Roy’s schedules)

Staff: Hello, how can i help you?

Roy: Oh I am here to pick up my daughter. ( is dressed in flip flops, jeans, t-shirt with sleeves cut off and a trucker hat and looks like he hasn’t slept in days)

Staff: Oh of course, Can i see some ID and have the name of your daughter? *This man is definitely trying to kidnap a child*

Roy: Sure, Her name’s Lian Let me get my ID *starts searching his pockets*

Roy: I forgot my wallet but you can ask her. I am her dad

Staff: Unfortunately due to our policy, I can’t release her go you with out ID. The other option is for us to call her emergency contract and verify that you are her father *signals to their coworker to call jason bc someone is trying to kidnap his daughter*

Roy: I am her emergency contact. Okay call and you’ll see just am her father

Jason: *pulls up and runs out of his car* Who’s trying to take Lian?

Staff: Oh hello, Jay. That was fast I was just explaining to this gentleman that i can’t release Lian to him with out ID

Roy: How did you get here so fast? You were at brunch with you family. ( the rest of the family starts pulling into the parking lot)

Jason: Oh my God, sorry this dumbass is her father. I told you to bring your ID. I can’t believe you. *to his family* False alarm 🚨 we are good and she safe

Lian: hi, dad hey,jayjay

Staff: i am so sorry we assume that you were her father I apologize for the misunderstanding but we have to check ID for child safety. I am sure you understand

Lian: They are my dads but jayjay turns red if I call him papa so in public I call him jayjay

in prime earth canon, jason todd (NOT red hood) was* publicly known to be alive

considering that jason todd was the official owner of the iceberg lounge during this time, it's likely he acquired the lounge legally and thus can be inferred that he had to be declared legally alive to do so

which brings me to my point:

i've seen a lot of people writing/speculating the difficulties and limitations jason experiences bc he was declared legally dead after ethiopia, which is all well and good, and is fantastic fodder for angst

but i've been wondering if this was bc people are actively ignoring canon (valid) or simply didn't know that at one point* jason was publicly alive (also valid, bc following comics is a shitshow lol)

i haven't read a lot of other important runs like death metal (2020), three jokers (2020), robins (2021), etc. if jason (NOT red hood) was declared dead once again in any of those, that is the reason why i used "was" in the very first sentence of this post and reiterate that he was alive at least for a limited period

my bad that i missed his second legal death tho LOLLL

i'm also aware that red hood (NOT jason) was known as "dead" by others after task force z (even though he clearly didn't die). that said, in the little i've read of tj:tmwsl, it seems that 1) not everyone knows red hood is actually alive, and/or that 2) red hood died at all. again, if red hood is generally known to be alive after tfz, that's on me

it’s time for a life-changing roadtrip i guess

I've had this photo saved as a pose reference for months now. Feels great to finally make something from it.

Jason's outfit was mostly inspired by these panels. I also read a fic recently (can't find it atm) where Roy was in an all white tux. I've been wanting to draw him in a similar outfit ever since.

I lost count of how many redraws I did for these two. Especially since I couldn't stop fucking up Roy's hair alskdf;aja

Idk I'm still trying to get comfortable with fashion/clothing in general. I did have fun, though, especially with Roy's outfit <3

like I don't know who they're trying to convince with this Artemis or rose shit, but these are a pair of homosexuals. Like I could start off with just joking around about the fact that they share a bank account or the way they dance around flirting but honestly I think that it goes way deeper then that.

Because why would two grown, straight, single men share a bank account. No need to answer that, it didn't happen, because they aren't straight or single.

It makes me giggle thinking about Jason being all mad about this because of the money when he mentions that he doesn't even care about the money as long as he is with roy.

LIKE OMG HE LOVES HIS BOYFRIEND SO MUCH HE'LL GO AND CHANGE HIS ENTIRE LIFE TRAJECTORY TO BE WITH HIM. I love my best friend, but freelance vigilantes is a lot to ask for, especially when I'm only going to join just to be with you all the time. But this guy did it for Roy because they're "good friends".

HE'S CANONICALLY DATED/HAD FLINGS WITH PEOPLE AND ROY HAS MANAGED TO BEAT ALL OF THEM.

I don't have the photo of when Roy firsts calls him jaybird but that one is also a really cute moment but, "that's my jaybird"!!!!! I'm hollering, the possessiveness has me jealous about them.

This is one go my favorite panels with them because it starts out with such a heart to heart and tender moment then turns into the most bromance thing ever. Also the "you two really need to get a room" OMFG they've upgraded from boyfriends to husbands in my mind.
