I had guessed that it was going to be a love story between a baker/chef and a prince/princess. The mc is probably the palace chef's or in a tv show like Dancing with the Stars but with baking and nobility. But I guess we'll never know 😭. Thanks for letting me know it was canceled though! 😁

"The “sword from heaven” and “inherited eyepatch” reference Khaenri'ah taking control of Celestia’s needle which was confirmed in the Chasm" wait wait hold up WHAT

I glossed over this one I guess, didn’t I, haha? spoilers for the Chasm and uh, Kaeya’s personal quest that you do at like AR5 

So in his quest, Kaeya says that he “inherited” his eyepatch from a grandfather-pirate, and said grandpa found a sword that fell from heaven, which granted him immense power, and then hid this sword somewhere in a cavern. At the start of the game it sounds like an absolute bullshit. Sword from the heaven? Grandpa’s eyepatch? lmao what

But now we know that there ARE actually swords falling from heaven. We know them as “Celestia needles”, and we know that Celestia dropped them to destroy civilizations on Dragonspine and the Chasm. And what else did we find in the Chasm? Black Serpent Knights, who were Khaenri'ah royal guards, and some of them have lines about Khaenri'ah at least attempting to use the needle.

“Even the ominous thing that came down from the heavens shall be ours to use.“

“We shall cleanse the tainted things from the skies... with sacred blood...!”<..>” The heaven's judgment... the needle of retribution... Never... forget”

And according to Kaeya, it was his ancestor who used it and gained incredible power. Which btw aligns with his last name - Alberich was a dwarf from  Nibelungen saga, who basically stole a divine artifact and used it to obtain power and become a king. What’s interesting, is that Kaeya says that sword is now hidden, so potentially there’s a hidden needle of Celestia that Kaeya can control due to his bloodline. 

also, what is the drops from Black Serpent Knights, and now also from abyss lectors and heralds? this thing.

Knight’s ribbons meaning idea

So I woke up at 2 AM thinking about this:

To think of it, it is a bit strange dispersion for gendered outfit, considering that both male and female Cainhurst Knights have enough of red, gold and black in their sets? But it thrown me back towards something I speculated on in this ( x ) post previously, about how Vileblood women might be way more in favour of using blood magic AND genetically more predisposed towards it; whereas their men had to rely on skills and strength!

^^^ @heraldofcrow​​ shared that screenshot back then and... Yeah, the idea was triggered by the fact that only male Knights have riding spurs! So maybe  male knights were generally riding horses using Reiterpallasch, but female knights used Evelyn and Chikage - weapons waaaaaay more reliant on quality of the blood! I am paraphrasing that post but basically, Bloodborne has hefty themes of femininity, but with Cainhurst it is especially curious as they appear to descend from Pthumeru Ihyll with their matriarchal traditions and bloody wrath of Queen Yharnam.

I of course come from intuition but I’d expect this line of nobles to develop dispersion with women being associated with the cursed blood magic and using it more. So the ribbons? Well, red is color of blood, you know! So it feels natural that female Knights have red ribbon to announce it! Meanwhile, maybe dark grey ribbon of male Knights is supposed to be ‘silver’, but darkened kind of? Within Bloodborne people do have superstition that certain metals can help, and silver means a lot for the Vilebloods it seems!

I also think this is a good idea because it works with Maria’s preferences:

It is up to interpretation whether she became the first to adopt new hunting practices (and lighter drip) from Gehrman and the rest of Cainhurst followed, or Knights adopted tactics (and lighter drip) and she just separated, but would not that be cool if she favoured silver ribbon rather than red AS the mark of fighting with skill and direct power rather than blood qualities!

Maybe likewise, male Knights that showed high capacity for using blood (or simply more interest in it) would wear red ribbons instead? I also think the idea of ribbons serving as sort of ‘charm’ besides simply supporting hair particularly works with Cainhurst:

how 2 write horror soundtracxks like real john carpentry

step 1 pick ur instrument. they will be PIANOS!!!!!!!!! johnny boy loves his pianos

for this track we will be using some free shit i found on line. these plugins r a minimoog synthesizer and some grand piano called a steinway

in order to increase maximum pants-shitting scare factor i added some reverb on the piano and some soft distortion on the mooglygoogly.

so any good soundtrrack has motifs. soundtracks arte basically just a bunch of motifs arranged differently.so my character is a detective kinda guy so i wanted to take inspo from some jazz. so i took an F major 7th chord and i fucked it in the ass

and then i went about arranging it into sounding like actual music here's the step by step process

heres the final product remember to make it shift downwards for extra scary times
