Royal Family Wows at Winter Walkabout, Duchess of Bourbon Steals Show

Happy holidays, everyone! The most senior members of The Royal Family kicked off the holiday season with their annual Winter Walkabout down the famed St. Nicholas Avenue. The King and Queen were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Bourbon, who have made their first appearance since returning from their nearly year-long train tour. 

The walkabout is the second to last event before the family officially starts their winter holiday ahead of the opening of the royal national congress next spring.

Train Tour Stop #2 | Duke and Duchess Visit Historic Fredricksburg Library

Stop #2 of the Royal Train tour brought the Duke and Duchess of Bourbon to the historic city of Fredricksburg, located in Old Alexandria. The couple visited the recently renovated and reopened King’s Library, which is over 150 years old and was destroyed late last year in a fire. The Royal Family has since used its platform and patronages to garner funds and support for the library’s historically accurate reconstruction.

The visit is the first time the Duchess of Bourbon has visited Old Alexandria (at least in an official capacity). It was well-received by an excited crowd, who waited hours to glimpse their future Queen. 

Photographers captured a precious moment where the Duchess met one of her younger citizen-fans and exchanged words before receiving a white rose, the Maui-Wren symbol for peace and love. HRH The Duke of Bourbon looked on a waved behind his wife like a proud husband and future King. A source with insight on the tour and couple shared,

“This isn’t just a tour, of course. It’s also a test. A test to see how the people of our massive kingdom receive this, I hate to say it, foreign-born royal. So far, she’s passing. I’m sure the Prince and the entire Royal Family are sighing relief.”

Test or no test, I am OBSESSED with the Duke and Duchess of Bourbon and cannot wait to see what’s next as the couple heads to Las Cataratas.

It's Official, We Have A Duke and Duchess of Bourbon-Orleans!

After a beautiful wedding and parade, the Royal Wedding concluded with a banquet hosted at the National Palace by the newly created Duke and Duchess of Bourbon-Orleans, as a thank you to their foreign wedding guests.

The ten (10) foreign royals were treated to a brief tour of The King's Gallery, which features over 1000 pieces curated over the nation’s history.

Following the media-free banquet, the royals posed in the palace’s throne room, commissioned by King Frederick over 200 years ago. The gorgeous photo shared show a night of diamonds and jewels as the royals celebrated the Crown Prince’s wedding.

Royal Family Shares Retro Thanksgiving Photo

Although a few days late, we still love the retro family photo recently shared on the Royal Family’s official website. The photo was taken in the late 90s outside of the Armstrong House, the Family’s private residence and home to their Thanksgiving holiday for nearly 30 years.

Royal fans across the nation have shared the photo over 4 million times since its posting, with many remembering their favorite royals no longer with us and other gushing over a our Crown Prince as a toddler.

Train Tour Stop #7 | Landed in Landom, Duke and Duchess of Bourbon Reunite with Duke and Duchess of Landom

The Royal Train Tour continues with the Duke and Duchess of Bourbon making their 7th stop in Landom, Valencia. Today, the couple officially visited Landom Park House, the official residence of the Duke and Duchess Landom. The couple is reportedly staying there for the duration of their visit and will attend a memorial day service and several smaller events and engagements. 

Often considered the Fab Four of the Royal Family, the Landom and Bourbon Royals are known to draw huge crowds and have been called the saving graces of the modern monarchy because of their ability to connect with the younger generations and maintain relevance for the monarchy.

Since starting their family, the Landom Royals have backed away from the spotlight, but as their kids get older, they've started picking up more engagements. 

The Duke and Duchess will head to the Wine Isles for the final leg of their tour. They're scheduled to meet with the Earl and Countess of the Isles, in addition to touring vineyards and seeing famous landmarks along the way.
