You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - the most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: You believed George RR Martin's canon is rock-solid!

I've been apart of the ASoIaF fandom for going on thirteen years - before the show. I picked up the books the moment I heard that Lena Headey got cast in some pilot for a new fantasy show project called "Game of Thrones" - being a huge "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" fan I had to check it out.

In all twelve and a half years ... never once has GRRM ever settled on one thing or the other. He has constantly retconned and changed canon to fit whatever gaff or inconsistency he put in the later books. The history of "The Dance of the Dragons" has changed so many fucking times in the last ten years that it'll make your head spin. Rhaenyra went from being an well established tyrant and villain in the ASoIaF Historical canon - written into the fucking books for Twenty Years! - to being a grey character, to now being the protagonist of the story.

Alicent was introduced as a ghost that allegedly haunts the Queen's chambers in Cersei's POV chapters, described by Cersei as a former queen who loved her Kingsguard and leapt off the balcony when he died - Cersei thinks that she could relate. This is followed earlier by Jaime's POV talking about Criston Cole who was loyal to his queen to the very end - a man he admires. You're supposed to but two and two together.

Now, some Black-Stan or Reply Guy will come into this post and go "Na-ugh, asshole! That's not in the books!"

Yeah, not anymore, mother fucker! It was taken out of the book in later printings once GRRM got the development deals with HBO to do "House of the Dragon" and started writing "Fire & Blood" as a pitch bible for his tv show ideas.

Do you know how many times "The Disaster of Summerhall" has been rewritten and changed by GRRM? Do you know that in the original book it is said that Rhaegar was the sole survivor of the fire, saved by Jenny of Oldstones - and that he saw something that night that made him realize the coming of the "Long Night"? Now, GRRM changed it so that Rhaegar was born during the disaster. Once more the new printings of the book changed the text to fit with what was written in "The World of Ice and Fire".

Even the "Fire & Blood" on the shelves right now is not the same book that got released five or six years ago. Whole section are rewritten to gel with "House of the Dragon".

All I can say is welcome to the fold, Nonny. Get used to smug jerk-offs coming into your DMs and Asks claiming that canon which has been established for nearly a decade is now not canon and that you're spreading "Misinformation" or "Fanfiction" when its simply that Evil Santa Clause changed his mind again and they got the new update before you.

Will we ever get a Transformers series to bring back and stop being cowardly about having Jetfire|Skyfire and Starscream being old friends.

Where Starscream still talks tenderly about or to the other. Where we see Starscreams softer caring side we lost to the war. Where we see what HE lost as everything consumes him.

Where we get cracks in Starscream’s bastardly surface.

And in the reverse. I’d have more written in Sky|Jet’s direction but there’s so many different flavours of Skyfire|Jetfire its hard to pin which to focus on.

Edit- YES I know WFC(Game), FOC and ROTDS do have Jet and Star old friends but that’s not 100% what I’m asking for here.

Thinking about Graham and Ryan's departure. 

I love Graham's departure so much. His “we do get aliens in Sheffield” was the moment of the two of them leaving that got me way more than the hug. (And Yaz saying it’s okay to be sad is great.) The thing with grace I hated a lot it looked cheap maybe if it was more implied to be in their head and was edited better I would’ve liked it. I get Graham’s arc was kicked off with her but it just felt wrong as i think just tying it with the bike would be enough of a nod to the start of the story?

Ryan's is good but I wish it had been more focused on wanting to be there for his friends or maybe as a journalist? less implying there gonna do like saving the earth stuff? It doesn't feel right? because he doesn't feel capable in the way Martha, Mickey, or Jack were. His maturity was in emotions and relational skills less in like the killing aliens ways. I know he did kill aliens but it felt less centred in his story.

I've been thinking about it a lot and it felt disconnected from the strengths of his character growth. He deserved it to be more focussed on where he shined, like his conversation with thirteen in ROTD well made. I don’t like anything close to “everything will be okay” but that's a personal thing and not a writing/character error. But it did show emotional maturity and connected well to what he learned. It worked well for both him and Thirteen and is interesting because by when we see them really connect more honestly he leaves her which is an oof for the Doc.

Hi Y’all!! So, fun news: I hit 500 followers on here a few weeks ago!! I hadn’t said anything because I hadn’t come up with anything to do for this milestone and that’s still true. I’m not confident with my art yet (i make waayyy more than I post) nor am I comfortable doing any sort of writing thing. I also don’t have the monetary means to like, give stuff away and send it to someone. So, right now, there is nothing planned and it’ll probably stay like that (who knows, maybe if I hit 1k I’ll do something extra big)

Anyway, on to big news. As you may have noticed, I’ve been getting back into Warcraft. I’ve always loved it, I’ve played the games since I was a kid (literally. I have videos of me playing my druid when I was 3/4). I grew up with WoW. (Now, I don’t want y’all coming into my inbox saying I shouldn’t have been playing that early. I know. It just is what it is, and that can’t be changed now 12 years later. It gave me something early on to love playing and to focus on/dedicate time to besides stuff like sports and school. Just.. don’t.) It was something I fell out of love with when I was at the beginning of my depression a few years ago and replaced with Elder Scrolls, and now that I’m much, much better, I’ve been more involved in all my wow servers and finding wow blogs and even convinced my dad to buy bfa for me. 

Now, I’m not saying I don’t like Elder Scrolls any more. That is far from the case. I love the games very much (the lore less so), and I probably always will.I will keep posting it. This started as a TESblr blog, and it will stay as such, mostly. At the moment, I am planning on switching my URL pfp, and theme either tonight or in the morning, probably more warcraft related just because that’s what I’m more into atm. Who knows, that may change. I’m not sure if the amount of TES posts will decrease, as I’ve been less active recently anyways, but atm I have over 100 warcraft posts in my queue, so it’ll be a lot. You can block the #warcraft tag, as thats what I use for all those posts if you have no interest in that stuff, or you can just unfollow me. I’m not offended if you unfollow, I understand you may not want to see stuff on your dash if you have no interest in it. 

Now, I have a bunch of TES stuff I’m working on. I have writings in my drafts I’m slowly working on (and ch 3 of RoTD), I have art for so many characters with prompts, I have small lore analysis(es? idk what the word is lmao) planned and in my drafts. I have playthroughs I want to do of Oblivion and Morrowind and Arena and Battlespire. I’m not done with TES, not by a long shot. 

TLDR: I am switching over to make this blog much more half TES, half Warcraft. I didn’t want to do it without saying anything, mainly because I can imagine how confusing if I switched everything on my blog without saying anything. Block the tag #warcraft if you don’t want to see that stuff, or just unfollow if it’s that big of a deal. Thank y’all so much for 500 followers and thank y’all so much for putting up with me.

This just feels desperate.
