hello hello, rotumblr (rotomblr?)!! this is a blog wrestlers-forwrd-slash-pokemon-trainers, because… why not, i guess? i don’t know, it… seemed fun.

my name is rory, i suppose i’m the primary holder of this account. i’m from galar (spikemuth, specifically), & i specialize in mostly dark-type pokemon! i completed my gym challenge as a kid with raihan, sonia, and leon and that kinda set me on this path. since then i’ve kinda found a home in unova but i travel a lot back and forth so i’m hardly there. i’ve been with my partners, umbreon and obstagoon, since my gym challenge.

alola, i’m xiomara! i’m originally from the paldea region & i left to go to alola when i was 16 to do the island challenge! since then, i’ve made my home there. i absolutely fell in love with pokémon battling while doing my island challenge & i’ve been training since then! i don’t have a specialty, per se, but i do use a lot of fire- and fairy- types alongside my starter, incineroar!

hey, i’m callum. originally from unova (castelia city if we want to be as specific as rory was), i’m a ground-type guy (i know, not the best, sue me) and i’ve been in the whole wrestlinf thing for a while. i don’t have much to say about myself, really.

currently watching: partner and I watched the first ep and a half of Alchemy of Souls last night and its pretty interesting, though kinda slow / im not too invested yet :/ also hxh im getting ahead in preparation for f@tt podcast

i love that binx and andhera’s declarations of love are never a clear cut “i love you”. it was andhera being the actual winner in the hedge maze, but giving the crystal heart to binx, it was andhera pledging themself to binx’s cause, it was binx offering to remove the shard from his neck, it was the two of them turning to each other and confiding in each other when things got rough, it was “you make an excellent frog”, it was andhera asking binx to show off their craftsmanship and make him a suit, it was binx finding solace in andhera’s presence at the masquerade, it was them sharing the apple imbued with the memories of the court of craft, it was andhera admitting that binx has made him happier than he’s ever been, it was the both of them extending the homes and hearts to each other, it was “no one will ever hurt you” and its echo, it was “he’s not yours to control anymore”, it was binx pointing a crossbow at suntar’s back and vowing that she would use it should andhera give her the go ahead, it was “you are welcome in my home, always.” it was “for the rest of our existence, any time you are scared I will reassure you”, it was “we have so much to experience together.”

and i think that’s really beautiful.

One thing I really love about the earlier seasons of Gilmore Girls is how unpolished and real everyone was allowed to look, even including the main characters. The clothes were ordinary and seemed to be chosen for personality instead of "hotness," Lorelai made weird makeup choices sometimes and Rory had days when her hair was a little frizzy and flyaway... The dress Lorelai "made" Rory for the dance REALLY looked like a homemade dress from cheap polyester satin and a wrinkle in the collar that never seems to lie completely flat... They felt like REAL people!

But the later seasons just don't feel the same. I'm happy for the show and their budget that they got clothing sponsorships, and the clothes are pretty to look at, but Lorelai and Rory look perpetually glossy and glamorous in a way that seems out-of-step with their personalities, income level, and situations (just like every other show!) and I MISS IT! I miss the messiness! College Rory should get to lounge around in her pajamas more, or just... SOMETHING! It just doesn't feel the same!

Favourite colour: I don’t know and this has plagued me for a long time. I’m going to say either the colour of a Polar Blue PRS Silver Sky, or a navy blue that’s so dark it’s almost black, like the sort of colour I’d use to paint a night sky in Year 7.

Currently watching: I haven’t been watching a lot for the past week or so but on a slightly wider timeframe, Rushmore and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Spicy/savoury/sweet: Spicy in a heartbeat. Dreaming of wasabi peanuts as we speak

Relationship status: Never once before in my life but I have what, three different crushes at the moment? Too busy on the guitar grind to think much about them though

Current obsession: The Sandman comic. Making playlists (my March playlist is almost 8hrs long and I am so pleased with every single song on it). Benevolent Wikipedia editing. Neglecting schoolwork. Iced matcha. And of course the insatiable investigations of music history. Also obsessed with playing This Charming Man on guitar
