On November 14, 2000, the team at Big Idea expanded beyond VeggieTales with the release of the first instalment of 3-2-1 Penguins. The first instalment introduced the twin children Jason and Michelle Conrad, their mom, dad, and grandmum, and the space adventuring penguins Zidgel, Midgel, Fidgel, and Kevin.
