A spiritual successor to this bootiful portrait of Ed (thank you wifey for finding it after Tumblr hid it) and colours inspired by this lovely screencap once again thanks to my wifey @sherlockig (turned up to a saturation of Ash 11, as usual).

"Together"
People have been asking for merman and couples I thought I'd combine the requests ;)
I kept the rendering a bit rough since I loved their expression and was afraid to polish it away. So now you can still enjoy some pencil lines.
I've made it available as print in my Etsy shop

‘adieu!’ - alfred guillou (1892)
with a title meaning ‘goodbye’, this piece depicts the final moments of a fisherman and his loved one before they are overwhelmed by the force of the sea. a strong sense of urgency is created due to the towering waves and already-sunken mast in the background of the piece. this is a contrast to the stillness of the foreground; in this we see the person slipping into the water, their body already limp as the fisherman desperately clings on.
