I'm more of a tv show than a movie person but I managed to come up with 7 after all

1 Pride - the ending always has me blubbing like a baby but I probably know the dialogue better than the actors by now. Solidarity forever!

2 Red White and Royal Blue - one of my favourite books turned into a film? By people who love the book as much as I do? yes please!

3 Chez Nous - Dutch gay heist film. One of the few good Dutch films!

4 Love Actually/Alles is liefde - It's basically the same film. Only the Dutch version is set around Sinterklaas the way Love Actually is with Christmas. Both are must watch December films and both have cheesy quotes everyone posts on Facebook every year.

5 Grease - I love musicals

6 Back to the Future Great Scott Marty!

Sure! I started getting tattooed in 2001, the very first one being a simple Celtic knot (a nod of appreciation to Jason Flemyng for his brilliant performance in Alive and Kicking), and immediately after it was finished I KNEW I needed more XD

I have a lot of different text tattoos on my right sleeve, my tattooist in the early aughts used to yell down the hallway 'here comes the walking dictionary!' LOL The majority of them are all lyrics, lines from poems, fandom references, movie quotes, etc.

(since it's the 5th anniversary of wedding 2.0, I had to include my Robron hand tattoo 'but you know?' <3)

The Depeche Mode piece took the longest in-one-sitting, with the result being 'enjoy the silence' in the violator album font, and a pair of phoenixes. The pain was 1000000000% worth it.

The two most recent additions from the past couple years are the cherries on my neck for Cherry Magic (the show that got me through the latter half of the 2020 hellscape) and the coordinates to the Winslow family farm on my upper left arm (the farm where James Dean grew up, the quote across my chest 'only the gentle are ever really strong' is one of his as well)

I don't even go here anymore but reading that quote Danny gave about robron and it's like did you even hear yourself speak and read back the words you said because big yikes. You played a gay character and were a part of an iconic soap couple for years and this is your takeaway from it jfc.

There was a goodbye cheek kiss before Lachlan’s plea hearing and in the pub after Robert apologised for the 50th time for messing with Lee. Imagine if they’d been fist bumps instead haha.

That’s the thing too, even though we absolutely complained about missing moments of affection, I don’t think the take away from Robron was ever “fist bumping bros who are potentially best friends but also in love I guess”.

I mean certainly people complained that their actions were more that of friends or roommates at times but it was always clear they were in love and not every straight couple was all over each other either. Like it was mostly fine even if it’s not what we wanted per say.

And I mean I certainly never wanted them to be all over each other in like…the way Chaddy were when they were first getting together. That was horrifying. I just wanted the cheek kisses and the forehead kisses and the arm touches and the thigh touches and the hand holding and the hugs etc. just the causal affection.

Which is hilarious because I’m the least affectionate person ever and fist bumps goodbye would be relationship goals for me. Haha. But it doesn’t quite fit them and I don’t feel like it ever really was them either.

I just feel like Danny has it in his head that Aaron was always meant to be the least gay gay guy character and that’s why it was important and I mean it was in 2010. But I feel like he’s hung onto that and just keeps spouting off this same exact quote and it’s like even the least “stereotypical” lad of a gay character is still going to do more than fist bump his husband good bye. Haha. I highly doubt when people tell him that Aaron and Robron were important to them it’s because they weren’t lovey dovey with each other.

Mostly he just shouldn’t ever talk about them in that way. He should stick to teasing about chatting with Ryan about Robron reunions. Those are good crumbs.

15. What’s your favorite time to write?

When I have free time! I did two hours at work yesterday (in the office no less) because my work computer was doing a compulsory upgrade and so I had to sit there for two hours to prompt stuff and accept stuff intermittently. So I took my tablet into work and I wrote. On company time.

Mostly however, I tend to write of an evening or later on because I am much more of a night owl than anything else.

42. What’s your favorite title that you’ve come up with?

I like themes when it comes to my titles. For FirstPrince I'm using quotes (like the boys signed off their emails with); for Tarlos it's lines from poetry. When I wrote in the Emmerdale fandom for Robron they were all one word titles and I had a grand plan to write a fic for each letter of the alphabet.

But I love "In the burned house I am eating breakfast" because when I read the poem I knew it fitted the story I was writing, but then it also inspired a scene where the family were eating breakfast...

In the burned house I am eating breakfast. You understand: there is no house, there is no breakfast, yet here I am.

And so the scene where the family were eating breakfast together was born, but the house was not there and the breakfast was not there, but there he was... (I'm just all round super proud of that fic.)

Anyway. I have the day off and I only have a few chores to do and then I want to be creative so please, send me more asks because I love talking about writing as it makes me want to do more!
