League of Filipino Students (LFS) PUP joined forces for a lightning rally at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines to condemn the ruthless killing of labor leader Jude Fernandez from Kilusang Mayo Uno and the news of the kidnapping of three youth leaders, Alia Encela, Job David, and Peter del Monte.

Karapatan Southern Tagalog confirmed that the killer 203rd Infantry Brigade and the 4th Infantry Battalion have been holding the three young IP advocates in Bansud, Oriental Mindoro for two weeks.

Meanwhile, Jude Fernandez was shot in his own home in Binangonan, Rizal by the fascist PNP-CIDG. Jude Fernandez is a well-known labor leader who is organizing and fighting for the right to work and liveable wages.

We join the scholars of the people in calling for justice for all workers murdered by the US-Marcos-Duterte regime, and the immediate release of the three youth leaders.

Justice for Jude Fernandez! Free Alia, Job, and Peter! Stop the attacks on the people!

Imagine waking up to a sea of clouds and a colorful sunrise – that’s the breathtaking view you’ll get to experience at Viewscape Nature’s Park. Surrounded by a view of the Sierra Madre Mountains, Viewscape is one of Tanay’s largest open camping ground destinations. It’s also the home of diverse terrain, flora and fauna, a dragon fruit plantation, and wild animals including civet cats and wild birds. If you’re a fan of KathNiel, you’d recognize the grounds as one of the filming locations of their 2015 teleserye, Pangako Sa ‘Yo.

Guests are free to bring their own tents, but those who don’t have theirs can rent a tent good for four. If you want a more comfortable stay, Ubod Rooms are available for rent. They’re A-shaped rooms perfect for glamping and come with a complete setup for a comfortable sleep.

Astrophotography is another popular activity in Viewscape. What we lack in gears for the astrophography, we make up with marshmallows over campfires, conversations about his law school, and holding hands walking on the grounds below the blanket of stars. It was dream-like.

We may have missed the sea of clouds and the good sunrise because we had steaming hot sex the night before slept late, but the sunrise is just as good and otherworldly. This weekend is just exactly what we needed.

March 11, 2023 – EG peeps like to organise activities for us to do outside of work, so we decided to go for a hike! As a person who is not physically fit—I haven’t done any exercise even before the pandemic started—imagine the struggle I went through. Well, most of us did struggle, even though Mt. Balagbag is a beginner-friendly mountain.

The base of the mountain was so steep that we all had a hard time. One of us almost gave up continuing the hike, but she pushed through. The trail was easy, they say, and visible. But it could also be scorching hot since there were few trees to provide shade; mostly, it was just grassy and rocky slopes. We began the hike at 5 am and reached the peak around a quarter to 9 am because we spent some time at the campsite. We rested, watched the sunrise, and took numerous photos before heading to the summit. And yes, we all reached the peak, and I was incredibly proud of us.

By the way, I think I injured my right knee while descending the mountain due to putting excessive pressure on my knees on our way back down to the starting point. Oh, to be old and brittle! Charcharaught.

Anyhoo, it was wonderful to be able to go mountain hiking again. The view at the top was such a great reward after enduring all the pain and struggles. Really grateful for my EG tribe.

P.S. One can even take a 4×4 pickup truck, motorcycle, or mountain bike all the way up to the summit.
