I think my favorite thing about doing my grimoire my style with color and art is the thought that this could be passed down generations of witches and be useful and still unique
Also it’s nice to realize you can make mistakes (i.e., switching up the art for waxing and waning moons) and move on from them without stress or worry
Went camping in the mountains a bit ago and made sure to grab some river water! ⬇️ I had to make sure nobody drank it since it’s in a Gatorade bottle and is the same color as the glacier cherry one or whatever. It was difficult since my niece followed me everywhere, but I got it stuffed in my hoodie pocket.
Being a water witch is so special to me and comes so easy, which is why I chose it. I have always felt myself being pulled to water my whole life. So when I was camping this time, I sat next to it and I put my hand in it as it flowed over and against the rocks. I felt quite empowered. My mind cleared a bit. Then I made sure to scoop some up in an empty bottle, later.
I was thinking of the different properties of river water, one of them being “moving forward.” I really didn’t like that one because what I’m going through right now, I can’t move on from. It’s not right, at least right now. As I had my hand in the water, I kept sensing that I needed to treat myself better, whatever that meant because I live with chronic depression and anxiety and don’t give a shit about myself.
I was looking at other water property lists and one was for river banks, which is technically where I scooped the water from. I sat on the bank and scooped the water in. Apparently that can make a difference! For that one it says “to increase personal power.” That made total sense to me because I had seemed to feel that even if I wasn’t going to move on like that, I could be better about myself.
For this I am going to start by juicing apples (I love apple juice and juicing), trying yoga again from YouTube videos, and maybe running on the treadmill, though that’ll take time because exercise triggers seizures for me.
Sooooo yay?
Oh so I don’t know what to do with my river water… 🤔 I can’t put it in a room spray.
An ancient Mesopotamian formula to drive away ghosts allegedly works against either actual physical manifestations or disturbing, consistent dream visitations:
Blend vinegar, rainwater, well water, ditch water, and river water.
Asperge the ghost-infested area with this liquid.
Ring a bell vigorously.
Hold a lit torch in the left hand and a cattle horn in the right. (If you’re out of cattle horns, substitute a shofar, the Jewish ritual horn, available from Judaic religious supply stores.)
Announce in a firm, clear, steady voice:
My goddess,* look upon me!
My god,* watch over me!
Let angry hearts be calm
Satiate and appease anger
Establish protective boundaries for me
Establish well being for me.
*Substitute names as desired.
