poe dameron x reader
note: headcannon that poe’s middle name is cosmo, and i will now be using that as his personal cutesie nickname-
Tumblr media
han solo was dead.
and you had never felt more lost.
you knew him-you knew him very well.
he was practically your father.
he had been around since you’d been just a child, and you had accompanied him on many endeavors across the galaxy. you’d listened to his rants about his smuggling years, about his meeting of leia and luke, about leia in general.
you’d heard it all.
you weren’t with him when he died.
you didn’t even know until chewbacca returned with only rey and finn. no sign of the old man.
you didn’t cry for him. not yet at least. all you felt was… numb. a pain that rotted your core—something that felt as though it would never go away.
you’d been there for leia. for she was really who mattered. her brother was missing—her husband murdered—her son turned to a monster—
you knew she was hurting… but was anyone going to acknowledge your hurt?
poe dameron certainly did.
a few days after it happened, he went searching for you. and yet there was no sign of you.
he’d gone to rey.
“hey, have you seen her anywhere?” he had asked. she shook her head, “no.”
he’d gone to finn.
“hey buddy-have you seen her? i’ve been looking everywhere.” finn had frowned, “sorry-no.”
finally, he went to leia.
poe didn’t even have to ask.
“check the falcon. she’s always there.”
and so he did.
walking up the ramp, he felt an eerie sense of… something wash over him. he couldn’t exactly figure it out.
he could hear han’s laughter as he walked up that ramp, the countless times he’d seen you two walk down it, chucking about something one had said.
you were so close to han, he knew that.
why hadn’t he noticed before?
as he entered the falcon, he heard a faint sound—as though someone was crying.
he walked along the corridor until he reached the cockpit, and that’s where he found you-
curled up in the captain’s seat, head resting on your knees as your shoulder’s heaved with soft sobs.
it hurt him to see you like this.
you who were always filled with joy, constantly making jokes—seeing you broken just felt so very wrong.
cautiously, he took a few steps forward, gently
placing a hand upon your shoulder. you flinched, lifting your head, locking bloodshot eyes with his, “for kriff’s sake-“ you murmured, standing up a bit too quickly, “you scared me-“
“sorry,” he slowly removed his hand as he watched you wipe your eyes with the back of your hand. you always refused to let anyone see any sort of emotion, and he hated it.
he hated it because he did the exact same thing.
you sniffled, “what’re you doing here?”
“checking up.” he said simply.
“i’m fine.”
“you’re not.”
“i am;” you argued, but he knew better.
he knew you better than anyone—now that han was gone.
you fell silent then, letting out a shaky sigh.
poe took a step closer to you, a look of sympathy crossing his face. he took another step, uncross his arms, extending them slightly.
no words exchanged-and you knew.
he knew what you needed.
before you knew it, you were crumbling again, and like a savior, he was there to catch your fall.
you were enveloped by his arms, a tight embrace that you never wanted to leave as the sobs came again.
he held you close—not knowing the right words to say but he knew this was what you needed.
you didn’t need any words of comfort. you just needed someone.
and poe turned out to be that someone.
“i want him back.”
her voice was so fragile. as if anything could break it.
“i know,” he whispered, pecking the top of her head, “i know.”
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
leia organa was dead.
there was a sort of heaviness in the air.
the galaxy had lost not only a valuable general—but a ray of light—a beacon of hope.
the war was over. kylo ren was dead. the first order had fallen.
the galaxy was okay.
but poe dameron was not.
but—this time—he had you.
you returned to your quarters one night to find him seated upon the bed you shared, his hand hanging low.
you quietly closed the door behind you. “cosmo?”  he didn’t move. you furrowed your brows, “poe?” your footsteps were the only sound in the room.
you rounded the bed, sitting beside him. and then you noticed what was held in his hand.
it was a grainy photograph. displayed on it, was a young leia organa. she was smiling brightly, and you couldn’t help but wonder when exactly this was taken.
you’d never seen her look so happy.
you placed a hand on his shoulder, and only then did he lift his head. “hey,” he murmured.
“hi.” you whispered, smiling softly at him.
“how you holding up?” her voice was soft.
“fine.”
“liar.”
he bit his lip, frowning. despite his best efforts,  you could see his lip quivering.
“i just-“ he let out a sigh, running a hand over his face, “what-“ he paused, “what am i supposed to do without her?”
“poe-“
“she’s been there since-since i was a kid-i’ve already lost my mom-losing leia-“ his voice caught in his throat, choking back a sob.
you didn’t hesitate to wrap your arms around him, “i know,” was all you could say.
“i just—i can’t lead-“
“you can.” you whispered, “i promise you can.”
“y’know why?” you asked. poe didn’t answer. “you’re strong. you’re a natural-born leader. poe, you’re the strongest man i know. and leia knew it too.”
he sent you a teary smile.
“we’re gonna get through this.” you assured, rubbing his back as you pecked his cheek softly.
“together?” his voice was shaky.
you nodded,
“together.”

Teaser!
There was a story…if told could be thought of as myth or fantasy, adventures of far-off galaxies, a vast variety of creatures of different races and spoke many languages, good versus evil. Old warriors lost their planet but reclaimed their home reuniting their people a saying passed through every one of them. A creed to honor those that fought before them, beside them, and will fight for them in the coming of time.
“This is the Way.”
With armor that could handle the strongest of weapons and spirit that could never be weakened by their enemies. Formidable on the battlefield with one able to take down 20 men on their own. From foundling to apprentice to warrior trained and prepared to fight alongside their brothers and sisters in battle. To fight for their clan, their homeworld, their creed…
For Mandalore.
It’s said that the first Mand’alor harnessed a power that no other Mandalorian had, the essence of life that was in every living and non-living thing. The energy that binds and holds the universe and life itself together. The light with dark…the good with evil. Balance. It goes by many names of what this gift is but to many, it is known as the Force. While it resides in everyone some contain a significant amount that they could tap into.
Those who could wield it were known as Jedi, protectors of the peace and guardians of justice. But with good comes evil. Light and Dark. Jedi and Sith.
But the Jedi are gone, massacre many years ago the shift of Light and Dark to great for the few who survived to try to stop it. So those that did live stayed hidden, in desolate planets, or populated areas, and restrained their abilities, hiding the true nature of their being.
But with a rise in the Dark comes strength in Light, a savior, the chosen one…a hero.
Some may say they’ve witnessed this hero, standing tall while the others cowered a weapon of great power in them but also one they wield. Of hot plasma that could cut through any object, and deflect any bolt of blaster, the weapon of both the Jedi and the Sith.
In the past, they remember them, the brilliant blues, verdant greens, and royal purples, of their heroes.
When their heroes had fallen it was a farm boy from a desert planet wielding a blue saber brighter than the sky above and a green saber as rich as the grass on the most lush planets.
But that hero’s journey was over his duty complete, and soon a new hero would step up to take his place and start their journey.
Some say she was a farm girl as well…on the same desert planet as the past hero. A very strange almost enchanting girl with the courage of such a young child. With the blood of warriors and protectors in her. She had the same weapon but not a familiar hue. It shined like the dual suns that set on her home planet. A radiant orange that color rivals the richest of dyed skills and wools, and its hilt holds the powerful blade was the strongest of metals. The same metal that was from the warriors. It was said she traveled far with a warrior in silver armor that gleamed in the light and also a protector, though many assumed the small babe could be no threat its physical appearance deceiving to the years of training and power within its small body.
They say they wandered very far…over land and sea. Planets and its people remembered them how could they not. The three were noticeable and wherever they went trouble or danger followed. And those that got too close were involved and many didn’t survive this hero’s journey. A little shy and sad of eye…but very wise was she.
And then one day…it was a magic day she passed my way and while we spoke of many things. Of fools and kings. Fools that wished to learn more of this ever-growing galaxy naive to its dangers and kings that believed wealth and power let them truly be safe and content.
With weariness in her bones, a face haunted by grief and sorrow, and her companions were now gone. The man who trained her cared for her, protected her and the child that comforted her, and brought light and peace to the darkest of times. This is what she said to me,
“The greatest thing you'll ever learn…is just to love and be loved in return.”
But it was just a tale…a story to tell your children as they drifted to sleep, of warriors in shining armor and heroes with magic powers and laser swords.
To them, it was a tale. To that hero it was truth.
The story of a girl now a woman with no home..no love…no family...no clan of three.
There was no one else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OBVIOUSLY, OUR STORY WITH THE CLAN OF THREE IS FAR FROM OVER!
Struggling with the trauma of their hardened youth and the threat of a new evil in the galaxy. A woman with powerful abilities and a unique bloodline joins in the fight once again.

Soul Full of Sunshine (Kylo x F!Reader)
Tumblr media
Pairing- Kylo Ren x F!Reader
1.1K Words
Warnings- fluff, the slightest of angst, honestly nothing, just cuteness
Summary- Distraught after losing everyone he had once loved, Kylo Ren returns to his home world, Chandrilla.
A/N- It's finally hereeee!! Like I said before, this was my favorite story, it was supposed to be a one-shot but I wanted to give it a little unf i guess. Anyways, I love it, I hope you do too! P.S/ I know it's short, but this is exactly what needed to be said, nothing more.
He hadn’t known what drew him to go back to his home-world. He had lost everything, most by his own hand. His mother died, using the last little push of life she had left to try and get him to realize he had been on the wrong side of the war. He killed his own father in cold blood, something that has haunted him ever since. And his dyad, the one who had been so close to him, something like a twin sister to him, had given her own life to save his own.
But, why?
Why had those around him sacrificed themselves for him? He wasn’t worth saving, he was nothing more than a boy trapped in a man's body. A boy who had been burned and betrayed, hurt by those who he thought he could trust.
As he took his long strides down the rocky shores of the beach he had grown up on, almost as if it were happening right in front of him, he saw himself. When he was nothing more than a baby, swarmed by the love of his parents. How could things have gone so wrong?
The lies he was told came crashing down, all around him all at once. His parents had always loved him, his uncle had always wanted what’s best, and they spent many years trying to show him. All it took was one measly, crumpled old man, taking advantage of what he had perceived to be his misfortune. He always knew exactly what to say, just how to attach the strings he strung him with.
His puppet.
And he had done it all. Everything that he was told to do. Even when it shattered him. One wrong step, and he had bumped into her shoulder. She had attempted to mutter an apology, cursing herself for not paying attention to her surroundings.
When their eyes finally locked onto one another, everything around them faded into nothing. It was just them. She knew those eyes. The eyes that were once hazed over, hiding nothing but fury and rage behind them as the fire made them nearly glow red. Now, the orange sunset had casted a warm hue over him entirely. No longer angry, but just sad.
“You.” They had said in unison, eyebrows raised as they realized they had in fact known each other. How curious, she could easily chalk it up to being nothing more than a coincidence. But something told her that there was no way this could be something so silly as such. No. The elders had talked about this, one in a million chances.
Fate.
The memories of the building disappearing beneath her feet, the wall that had previously held all of her books and trinkets she had collected over the years crushing her, the fire that raged all around her. She remembered. The strange act of kindness, the young man with so little words, yet had so much to say. He wanted to tell her how she’s one of the reasons he had fought to save himself, tell her how her beauty had stuck with him over the years. But something told him that she felt the same.
Promise you won’t be scared. Promise you’ll take my hand.
Her innocence alongside her naivety is what she could blame for her next move. Taking his large hand into hers, placing the other on top of his. The sorrow that had just filled him up to the brim had dissipated, allowing the corner of his mouth to twitch up into a crooked half smile.
“You remembered.” His previous facade that he held all those years ago had been erased, leaving him blushing and somewhat shy. She had found it adorable and endearing.
He pulled her in, their arms tangling around each other as her head rested right above his heart. She doesn’t know why she was stumped to hear his heart beating beneath her. Perhaps it was because she had truly thought he was death. That he was the grim reaper, stealing the unfortunate souls of those whose time had come.
She had never been so thrilled to be any more wrong before in her life.
“Of course I remembered.”
Who wouldn’t have remembered something that had been so engraved into them? She had nearly died, she actually thought she was already dead, but then this man, the man with his long and strong engulfing her entire being, saved her life. She wasn’t thinking of how technically he was the reason she had almost died, just that he’s the one who had put the pieces back together.
Their reunion couldn’t be something that began and ended on the sandy shores of Chandrilla, there’s far too much to be talked about, too much to be known. Questions lingered on both of their lips and they sat side by side in the living room of her tiny cottage. The fire that quietly crackled and popped at their feet brought warmth into the rather chilly home. This home was the perfect size for her, not too big, just enough room for her collection of herbs and plants, her yard littered with fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers. It was perfect for her, but on the other hand, it was slightly cramped for the giant sitting next to her. She caught herself from laughing as he had nearly bursted out in laughter from him almost hitting his head on the doorframe.
He supposed it was worth it though, he’d hit his head a million times over if it meant being by her side. He knew it seemed far fetched, like something his mother read to him to get him to sleep. Those stories of true loves kiss, or the knight in shining armor saving the damsel in distress. Happily ever after and all that. But deep down, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with this woman.
While the silence was comforting, something that was as scarce as hen’s teeth, they both needed more.
“What’s your name?” She was the first one to break the quiet space they had created, she was itching to delve deeper. Of course his name couldn’t possibly be death. She had ruled that one out.
Her question had stumped him. Left him even more at a loss for words. He wasn’t Kylo Ren. That’s who he was under the mask, behind the cackling red saber. That’s who led millions of troopers to destroy anything in their path with a single look in his eye. That’s not who he is anymore. Now, he's on his home planet, wearing cotton pants the color of an eggshell, with a shirt of the same fabric only white. Ren would never be caught wearing anything like this. No this was all…
“Ben. My name is Ben.”
Saying that, soaked up any sadness or guilt that could possibly be remaining. Leaving him with the largest smile on his face that he can ever remember, allowing all thirty two crooked teeth to shine.

Hot minute with this, but what I love about the gifs like this is that you can see the details of his costume. Sure, its like the only thing he wears a throughout the trilogy, but its just how it looks that intrigues me.
Now I’m not entirely an expert on fashion, but to me, his outfit just looks so medieval, almost knight like. Now it could just possibly be just because the environment or simply space fashion, but a callback to the days where the potential to be a Jedi Knight trained by Luke is definitely something that comes to mind. As most knights, honorable as they are, they are fighting for a cause, for someone higher up that they are loyal to. Now we do know that Kylo Ren is fighting for his own agenda, and is using the First Order to do just that however he wants to.
And even though that his outfit does not change throughout the sequels, it sure is a nice thought.
Or maybe its just practical and he keeps like, seven other identical outfits in his closet for all seven days of the week.

Kylo Ren Vs Ben Solo
We know what Kylo Ren is like in personality and temperament. He impulsive, emotional, temperamental, surprisingly full of fear. He's also arrogant to a degree.
But we don't know what Ben Solo is like as a person. Especially after the end of the war (because he totally survived).
What are your opinions?
I imagine him as being very quiet and withdrawn. He tends to be more on the serious side, not likely to make jokes or goof around. He often avoids large groups and is slow to make friends. Ben Solo feels as though he doesn't deserve to be happy after what he did as Kylo Ren.
(He's completely devoted to Rey. He feels as though she's his salvation, his lifeline to the light.)
But what does anyone else think?
