I know I'm not running into open doors with my opinion but in a certain way I can understand Jay's actions in the finale because he only wanted to help anna because he lost his mom and didn't want anna's son to go through the same thing
I understand why Jay did what he did in the finale, but I don't think it's because of his past. Now that Anna is dead, her son will most likely go into foster care if no relatives are willing to take him in. When Jay's mom died, he was an adult, so it wouldn't be the same.
I think Jay was willing to bury evidence and protect Anna because he cared for her and felt responsible for her. Anna was closest to Voight, but Jay was second. Especially closer to the finale, we saw Jay meeting up with Anna to get her opinion. Anna and Jay had formed a bond, and when Anna was in trouble, Jay felt responsible to help. And he's right; they were willing to throw away evidence to protect Hailey, so why shouldn't they do the same for Anna? Anna isn't a stranger. She is a trusted CI close to the team, especially Voight. She has sacrificed her entire life to help the team catch Escano. So why shouldn't the team show the same loyalty to her?
I understood why Jay was willing to help protect Anna, but I didn't agree with it. What Hailey said was so on point. Anna put herself in this situation. She wasn't forced to kill Escano. Nobody told her to stab Escano multiple times. She chose to do that, and she needs to accept the consequences.

Do it the right way in spite of...
Two things brought the theme of needing to do the right thing in spite of what life throws our way. First is the current weekend series at church in the book of Daniel about Unwavering Faith and this week how Daniel kept doing what was right in the sight of God in spite of the threats that came from the king and others. Even though the king was fooled into the law, the men trapped Daniel using…

Whereas moral courage is the righting of wrongs, creative courage, in contrast, is the discovering of new forms, new symbols, new patterns on which a new society can be built.

On Tolerance, Circa 1947
“America, it is said, is suffering from intolerance- it is not. It is suffering from tolerance. Tolerance of right and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ & chaos. Our country is not nearly so overrun with the bigoted as it is overrun with the broadminded.” -Venerable Fulton Sheen, (1895-1979) stated on his TV show, on January 26, 1947. I wonder if he made any recommendation for…

Is Fashion Really Worth the Cost?
When it comes to fashion, there are always two sides to every story. There are those who believe that fashion is worth the cost, no matter what the price tag may say. Then there are those who feel that fashion is nothing more than a passing trend and not worth spending a lot of money on. So, which side is right? Let's take a closer look at the pros and cons of spending money on fashion.
On the one hand, fashion is an art form. Like any other art form, it takes a lot of time, effort, and money to create something that is truly beautiful and unique. Designers spend years perfecting their craft before they ever show their work to the public. And even then, only a small handful of their designs will ever be actually worn by anyone. The rest end up in museums or private collections.
On the other hand, some people feel that fashion is nothing more than a passing trend. They believe that spending a lot of money on clothes is a waste because styles always change and what is popular today will be outdated tomorrow. While this is certainly true to some extent, it's important to remember that not all trends are created equal. Some trends are here to stay for decades (think little black dress), while others come and go in the blink of an eye (think shoulder pads).
So, what's the verdict? Is fashion worth the cost or not? Ultimately, the decision is up to you. If you enjoy wearing beautiful clothes and take pleasure in being fashionable, then yes, fashion is definitely worth the cost. However, if you prefer to save your money and don't mind being a few steps behind the latest trends, then you may want to rethink your position on fashion. Whichever side you choose, just remember that there's no wrong answer here. Fashion is what you make of it.

maybe i do understand the symbolism and subtext of saltburn but what if i want to sum it up as a film about a guy who is a little freak who becomes obsessed with a wealthy college classmate of his and manipulates his way into his life then eats the rich boy’s cum and bath water mix out the drain then eats out rich’s boy’s sister when she’s on her period then fucks their cousin and the longer he stays at their house the more he descends into madness and ends up murdering his obsession, the sister, and their mother so he can inherit their wealth?? what happened to letting films just be insane and enjoyable?? why must everything be direct commentary on an issue?? let characters be freaks and flawed and exist in fun interesting films that clearly understand what the female gaze is

avm fantasy au? real
‘ve been brainrotting over this since DECEMBER so it’s about time i did some designs for them :3 second and red’s aren’t final yet though
notes for this au:
most people generally have some sort of power. yellow’s the only one in the color gang who doesn’t and they use redstone instead
blue’s an alchemist that somehow managed to get the reputation that they are incredibly scary (they are NOT). has the ability to grow (already existing) plants at will
green’s a traveling bard and purple’s an assassin/bounty hunter. they are very good friends (oh boy i wonder how this will turn out)
second was a normal dude before he got framed for arson and burning down a village. has some crazy powers he doesn’t know about and is currently on the run
said village second got framed for was also yellow’s, and yellow also fully believes that he was the one to do it
after yellow’s home is destroyed they go out searching for a mystical legendary artifact named the Command Block that they’ve been enamored with forever and meet blue in the process
there is a lot more to this au but i don’t want to dump it all in one post so that’s all for now 🤞🤞YIPEEE!!

sometimes characters are wrong. sometimes characters are actively lying to people. sometimes characters are lying to themselves. just because someone says something doesn’t make it fact, it doesn’t even mean they believe it. conflict between what a character says vs does is a huge part of complex characters and dynamics. no one is right 100% of the time, even if they think they are. and that’s interesting!! characters don’t exist to fight over who is the single and number one Most Correct POV, they’re different perspectives in a shared story.

New Week: Let's get it started by doing it right!
As last week is in the rearview mirror, and we hit the ground running today, let’s get it started by doing it right! Let’s not be swayed by what is popular or common, let’s choose to do what is right and good! Today, let’s lean in on God’s ways rather than man’s ways which try to either do it in their own strength or mask it with stuff. What better way to start the new week than to put first…

to attempt to categorize aziraphale & crowley's actions into the simple dichotomies of 'correct' and 'wrong' or 'good' and 'bad' is to employ the exact same fallacy that the show warns of. throughout season two we see aziraphale struggle with morals and their ambiguity, no matter crowley's assertion (and demonstration) that there is no true 'good', no true 'evil'- that the lines are not only blurred but frankly non-existent- aziraphale can't move past the principles he was raised on. good actions are good (inherent to angels, inherent to heaven), evil actions are evil (inherent to demons, inherent to hell). aziraphale's decision to try to 'fix' heaven is the perfect representation of the reality of the universe. he believes it to be a simply good decision, something angels do and heaven is all about (he'll get heaven back to normal! back to being good!) but the reality of his decision is so much murkier than that. it isn't that aziraphale did something bad or evil, nor is it that he did something correct or good, he did something that, like many things in the universe, embodies both.
