Lucas: We’ll both have to try right. You told me this, you told me how hard it was. -he shakily lifted a hand, there was so little energy left that he could not quite hold it steady, but he managed to put it on River’s cheek.- I’ll do my best to realize that you don’t really mean it, you try your best to not do the mistake over, I really don’t want to turn into a dragon again... Ever.

He sighed, it would be hard for both, in a way it was both their ghosts colliding, making it a big and horrible mess.

Lucas: I forgive you, if you forgive me, for turning into a dragon and shooting laser beams at you? Or energy beams I guess? I am not sure what they are.

River put his hand on top of Lucas’s hand to steady it, it broke his heart to see just how tired he was, how out of it, and all because of him, and his damned ghost.

River: I think they are energy beams, although lasers sound much cooler if you ask me. There is nothing to forgive you for, Sunlight, you turned into a dragon because of stress, panic, and me it is… He felt a shaky finger on his lip, his eyes meeting the tired ones of his Sunlight. Lucas: My lack of control let me change, that's on me. -they smiled slightly, the hand almost falling back down again, River taking it holding both.- You can’t carry everything on your shoulders all the time. River: Okay.. you win sunlight, I forgive you for turning into a beautiful dragon that shoots lasers. Lucas: -chuckles- And I forgive you for having your ghost. We’ll get through it, together, right? River: Together. -he shook his head, seeing the young boy almost sway sitting up.- Now how about I start tapping a bath, go get some food for you from Vy, and then you get to eat in the tub while I stay with you, in case you pass out. Lucas. Sounds like a plan. -he let himself slump back in bed, glad they had at least the start of a talk... He knew they needed to talk more, but for now, it was enough. - I’ll just wait right here.

River chuckled, leaning over kissing Lucas’s forehead before he walked to the bathroom, starting to fill the tub, and then he walked down to Vy to get the very tired one something to eat. A little to his surprise Lucas was still awake when he returned, he had almost thought he would fall asleep. River: Come on, let’s get you into a bath, and then you get to eat, while in the tub. Vy wanted to come check on you later, I said it would have to wait a little. He picked Lucas gently out of bed, carrying him into the bathroom, letting him sink into the warm water, before he sat down next to the tub, holding out a tray of small bite-size pieces of food that Vy had handed him. It was clear he had prepared for when Lucas would wake up, every piece was something tasty, yet also healthy and revitalizing. He also made sure that he had the juice Vy had sent him, it came with a straw and everything so that the tired one could drink fairly easily.

Hey sorry if I’m being annoying haha but I sent an ask yesterday and I just .. ugh I feel like I am really under attack wbvahse I’ve had more things come up about it and make me feel like crap or less of a believer and something that I should regret anyway and I just feel so stressed right now it hurts

bitch literally not that long ago an aroace youtuber animator was insulted by almost half of its community for being it

i love u characters who are victims who don't show things in a way that's appealing i love u characters whos trauma leaves them with anger issues, with violence issues, with issues with connection and trust and being truthful i love you characters who don't get "better" in a way that's palatable, who don't find growth and meaning in their trauma

This might be a hot take but can Mrs.Flood just be Mrs.Flood who knows what a TARDIS is cause she lived in London all her life, where alien shit is happening at least once a year and is always accompanied by the doctor and a strange police box.

Uncle Damian Mode ACTIVATE

Twins Danny and Damian but! They both know where the other is (Damian going to Bruce and Danny being sent to the Fentons on a mission at a young age), has kept in touch and all that.

They just...never got around to telling anyone about the other.

That is until Danny comes interrupting Damian on patrol one night in a panic, pushes a bundle into his arms and hurriedly says "Read our texts! It'll explain! I gotta go, got a fruitloop on my tail! Be back when I can!"

And rushes off. When Damian looks down at the bundle in his arm, ignoring the yelling on comms and Nightwing rushing over, he is stunned to see a almost identical face to that of his brother staring back at him, only he can tell its female from the more delicate features.

When he later reads the texts his brother sent during his patrol... well he's tempted to go fruitloop hunting but he has a niece to take of... and inform his father of his granddaughter he's currently holding.

River: You’ll get ready for kids of your own by training with puppies -he laughs- They’re really not that different. Some are more like cats though. Flynn was totally a puppy kind of kid.

He knew pictures and stuff like that would always brighten his day when he was on tour, even if it was not the same as being there. He knew he visited the homepage several times a day when he was away to get some extra updates, see who was adopted, and just get his mind off things. As well of course as the talks with River that was the highlight of any day.

Lucas: Okay.. I guess onwards to the next?

He then walked to another kennel where a dog in worse shape was. The dog was on an IV and appeared really in bad shape. River walked in and carefully picked the dog checking over him.

River: Get me the cart so we can take him comfortably to the X Ray machine. See how his hip is healing.

Lucas chuckles at the mention of kids being no different than puppies and kittens, and when he thought about it, he was pretty sure they had both at the shelter.. and some rats, he was sure there were some. Nodding he gets the cart, watching the injured dog with worried eyes.

Lucas: He isn't doing all too well is he?

He kneeled down putting a hand on the dog, gently scratching on a spot he could somehow feel was okay to touch. He almost opened his mouth to ask what happened if it was bad news, but he already knew that, he had been there for those happenings before. Again outside his control and knowledge energy flowed between him and the dog.
