yeah a casual one I guess because I watched the show for the first time when I was an adult. I was never in the fandom and I didn't grow up with the show so I don't really have that same attachment. I just watched it over a few weeks on holidays and when I got to season 3 was like oh yeah there's a vibe there! idk personally I think they would never have happened in the show itself, like they wouldn't end the show together. I rmr thinking if they got together it would be as much older adults with their shit a bit more sorted and an ideal ending was the show leaving that as an open possibility. But I was so genuinely surprised by aang/katara being a bonafide thing at the end because it just seemed like an undeveloped childhood crush??? When I started Lok and they'd been married, I was like, "oh they were SERIOUS?" anyways, yeah I'd describe myself as a zutara enjoyer!!

The older I get the less I ship the bad boy ships and the more I ship the other option. You don't need romantic love you need prison and therapy. You can have compassion and forgiveness without that person's romantic love. Abuse doesn't make a good foundation for a relationship. I know it’s been a while since I ranted about Reylo but I find so funny is how the Reylos killed their own fandom and now they have nothing.

And to be honest, I don’t think I would have hated Reylo so much had the fans had been decent people. Like if you’re going to ship something problematic, just admit that it is and don’t be surprised if some people don’t like it.

But Reylos had to be extra. They had to be racist as hell as well as annoying. They were so annoying that various people who work for Lucasfilm went private. They spammed Tumblr tags constantly! Also, on Twitter they went around, commenting on any and all Star Wars tweets with #SaveBenSolo.

And now they don’t have anything. There is no way in hell Disney is going to make another movie related to the new trilogy and I doubt they’ll make any other media related to it either. All that work at being the worst part of the Star Wars fandom and they nothing.

I feel like everyone on both sides blew Reylo way out of proportion. It's literally the most basic inoffensive Baby's First Enemies To Lovers™ ship. The reason there's like three billion published novels that started life as Reylo is because it's so by the numbers that it can be easily adapted to any ETL/RTL AU you can possibly think of.

And honestly I think as a collective the haters were way more unhinged than the fans because everyone acts like their ship is god's gift to romance, you come to expect that, but the way the anti-Reylo crowd at the peak of the sequel trilogy would have had you believe it was the most toxic and problematic ship ever? This? I've seen more moral complexity in Steven Universe.
