Sorry if you're not interested in this topic and I'm sure other people have noticed this, but why are all of Rey's outfits (minus the one she wears at the end of TFA) all basically the same outfit with slightly different changes??? Like both Luke and Anakin got to wear very different outfits in each movie but Rey's kind of all blend together...and like there's official concept art of her in more creative outfits (ex. https://pin.it/4mfUAQl) so WHY?

i dont know the specifics behind that choice in particular but in general the costuming in the sequels is just soooooo lame and boring. at a glance it seems like more of their general cowardice (distinctive new outfits are a gamble on the audience’s reaction. keeping with a generally liked look is safe) & also the lack of real creative interest in rey (like, she’s treated as the main character sure but the writing isn’t interested in her, if that makes sense. she’s more a placeholder than a character. nobody writing the sequels was excited abt rey herself)

they can’t even put the poor woman in some colours, they could at least give her some variety 😭

#there is not one iconic costume in the whole sequels trilogy its so embarrassing #rey skywalker

I know “The Force Awakens” came out years ago, but I was rewatching clips of it on YouTube and just noticed something that was really funny to me.

Okay, so you know at the end of the movie when Rey finally finds Luke and holds out the lightsaber? And then Luke like slowly turns around and pulls his hood off? Did anyone else notice how dramatic he did it? He like made a whole “cool” face, and slowly reaches his hands up and kinda *fwhips* his hood off, then dramatically lowers his hands by his side. Like that!⬇️
