Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. -Rev 3:20

One thing that absolutely kills me about ATSV is how Miles has more than any other Spider-Man. He has his parents. He has a friend (sort of, in Ganke, and we saw in the first film that he had a lot of friends outside of school), and he’s probably still in contact with Aunt May. But he still feels so. Alone.
He’s not alone because he has no family around him, or people that love him. He’s not alone because he’s lonely. He’s alone because no one knows who he is, not really. Ganke’s the closest thing he’s got, but Ganke is so disinterested in the whole Spider-Man gig that he’s more of a casual observer. The only people who know who Miles Morales really is live dimensions away.
And he just found out that they could have come back. He just found out that they all had each other, meanwhile he’s just been alone this whole time.

Okay no spoilers but Barbie was the funniest movie I have ever seen in my life and I’m genuinely mildly surprised Mattel approved it
Laughed so hard I couldn’t breathe which has never happened in a theatre before
Also they’re fucking cowards for only putting the happy version of Lizzo’s song on the album and I’d kill for the full version

Revelation 1:4-6 (NLT). “‭‭This letter is from John to the seven churches in the province of Asia. Grace and peace to you from the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come; from the sevenfold Spirit before his throne; and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us. He has made us a Kingdom of priests for God his Father. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6‬ (‭FBV)‬‬. “Jesus replied, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭(FBV‬‬). “Then those of us who are alive and still here will be carried up together with them into the clouds, and we shall meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever!”
“Jesus, the Faithful Witness” By In Touch Ministries:
“Sometimes the best encouragement comes from reminding ourselves who Jesus is.”
“John wrote the book of Revelation to encourage Christians being heavily persecuted by the Roman emperor Domitian. Approximately 25 years earlier Rome had destroyed Jerusalem and taken away Christians’ rights. Many believers were beginning to wonder, Where is Jesus? Is He still Lord? So John’s main purpose in writing this book was to remind believers that Jesus Christ was alive, and He was and would continue to be the same loving, all-powerful Son of God.
We also can be encouraged by remembering who Jesus is. Revelation 1:5 reminds us that He is the faithful witness, which means we can rely on every single thing He says. And not only are His words true, but according to John 14:6, He Himself is the truth. In other words, if He says He will do something, we can trust that it will happen. And that includes not only His statement that life on earth isn’t all there is, but also that He will be with us forever (1 Thessalonians 4:17).
We know Jesus’ words are trustworthy because He conquered death through the cross and His resurrection, preparing the way for all who trust Him. If you’re unsure whether Jesus is alive and active in your life, remember what lengths He went to in order to keep His word.”

"I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."
- Revelation 19:11-16

Title: "Unveiling the Hope of Prophecy: A Journey Through Biblical Revelation"
Introduction: Join us on another captivating exploration of biblical prophecy as we uncover the hope and promise it holds for believers. Delve into the pages of scripture with us as we unravel the mysteries of prophecy and discover the unshakable assurance it brings.
Scripture Passage: Revelation 21:1-5 (NIV) Cross References: Isaiah 65:17-25, 2 Peter 3:13, Romans 8:18-25
Commentary: Revelation 21 paints a breathtaking picture of the new heaven and new earth, where God will dwell with His people, wiping away every tear and making all things new. This vision offers hope and assurance to believers, reminding us of the glorious future that awaits us in Christ.
Isaiah 65 provides a glimpse into the coming kingdom of God, where there will be joy, peace, and prosperity beyond imagination. It speaks of a time when God will create a new heavens and a new earth, where His people will dwell in everlasting righteousness.
In 2 Peter 3, Peter encourages believers to look forward to the day of the Lord, when the heavens will disappear with a roar and the elements will be destroyed by fire. Yet, in the midst of this destruction, there is hope for a new heaven and new earth, where righteousness dwells.
Romans 8 reminds us that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us. Creation itself groans in anticipation of the redemption that will come with the revealing of the sons of God.
Application Questions:
How does the hope of prophecy influence your perspective on current challenges and trials?
In what ways does the promise of a new heaven and new earth inspire you to live with hope and purpose?
How can understanding biblical prophecy deepen your faith and trust in God's sovereign plan?
What practical steps can you take to share the hope of prophecy with others and encourage them in their faith journey?

Hey ya’ll can we talk about Miles and the number 42? Because atsv really made me think DEEP about this number and it’s connection even outside of Spiderverse media. Like, it was the number drawn in the lotto that allowed him to go to Visions in the comics, alongside his social media account in the 2020 video game just being BKLYNSpider42, to name a few.
And the spiderverse team just saw this and RAN WITH IT! In the best way possible! The numbers on that fall off the building that Miles falls off on in the first sp movie move into a 42 position. The spider in which some of us might’ve been at first oh haha funny had the 42 sybol on its butt, but NOW WE KNOW BETTER, because atsv just punted Miles into dimension 42 with his alter self that never became spiderman, and I am SCREAMING.
I even remember reading that the reason why 42 was even chosen was because it was the Jersey number of Jackie Robinson.
Am I the only one realizing how interconnected this man is with the number 42? No? Just me? Maybe this shit is common knowledge and I’m outing myself as like a fake fan. But WOW, I mean I had the pieces but the picture I’m finally making is just wow.
