She would probably hear it first from her siblings, before seeing it herself.

"Mitsuri neechaaan! Can we (y/n) see again? She was so nice and kind to us! She even brought us sweets!"

Those would be the words of her little siblings as they are all stand very close to each other.

This made her curious.

And if she then sees with her own eyes?

She would squeal in happiness, seeing how loving you are to them.

And would come up to you and hug you. Her breasts press against your shoulder. "Y/n you are so adorable!"

This time it's you who's blushing.

Obanai Iguro

He and Kaguramaru would watch you from afar.

The man didn't have a good experience with women as they were all terrible to him.

But you? You were the opposite and showed him with your gesture that there was also kindness in this world.

And that was one of the reasons why he had a huge crush on you.

And your gesture would make him fall even more for you.

He would sneak gifts to you.

(I am sorry. I feel like I am describing Obanai x Mitsuri as I always see them as canon and his type.)

Gyomei Himejima

He is already a big soft teddy bear

So expect it to grow into an even bigger one.

The first time he noticed tha, he wouldn't think anything of it.

But he sees that it's your nature and that you do it not for yourself.

And he would be touched by your kindness that he would shed tears (as he often does)

Gyomei eventually coming to you and while he towers over you with his height (man is huge) he would ask you.

"Do you want to talk about cats?"

Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu witnessed your kindness towards the younger ones in the butterfly mansion.

And she thinks you are downright adorable.

And she wants to tease you about that.

Which she will certainly do. (Nothing is going to stop her anyway) And oh she loves to tease you.

But on the other hand she will praise you. Telling you how admirable your kindness and love is.

"This reminds me of someone..." And for the first time her smile turned sad.

You could help but hug her and comfort her, as you did with the younglings.

Muichiro Tokito

Empty eyes would clear at that moment and would look at you in surprise.

It is not about how you look, but the way you treat other the younger ones. It would bring back certain memory he thought it was long gone.

He would look at you with wide big eyes.

"Y/n..." That he remembered your name would make you turn in surprise, but there would be a smile. "Yes, what is it Tokito-san?"

And then he would remember and he would hold your hand and smile. "Your kindness... It made me remember something very dearly to me. Of my father and mother... Thank you so much for that"

KNY HCs - A Surprise Kiss! (Hashiras + Kamado Crew) Part 1

Prompt: You give them a kiss unexpectedly; how do they react, when they like you back?

A/N: This is Part 1! This part includes Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Rengoku, Giyuu, Shinobu, and Sanemi. Next part will include the rest of the Hashira, Nezuko, and Genya.

Some of these have implied less-fluffy notes, but nothing explicit/over the top.

Tanjiro

Let's be honest, he would internally be a mess. He would try hiding it, but his face would flush and give himself away. He would hastily touch the spot you kissed him (whether his cheek, lips, forehead, etc.), eyes beaming.

"S-Sorry, I wasn't expecting that...!" Unprompted, he would take you by the wrist if you were trying to walk away," W-Wait!!! Let me return the favor!!!" Mentally, it's like you're proposing to him. This boy takes you and your love VERY seriously!!!

One kiss becomes MANY. He isn't overtly the PDA type, but makes it his goal to sneak up or surprise you with it every once in a while. Especially before big missions.

He becomes more protective of you, like Nezuko, and always makes the time to kiss you good morning, and kiss you goodnight. It's a routine that he will live by, and love by, as long as he can have you. Domestic vibes, for sure.

Zenitsu

Let's be for real: you already know what happens. But let's get into it anyway:

Similar to Tanjiro, he goes to touch the spot you kissed him at," Ehh?? Ehhh?? Y/N-san??? Was that real-- just now?!" He's stammering, blushing vibrantly. You may have to kiss him again just to keep him from spiraling with questions.

He would be a mess under your kisses/touch. He would be all over you in a SECOND, clinging to your arm, his arms wrapped around your waist: anyway he can be close/touching you, he will. He makes it his mission to never leave your side again.

He becomes heavily protective of you: to the point he has "The Talk" with Tanjiro and Inosuke. He'd be warning them that if they try to make a move: he'd kill them (all jokes... for SURE). He's spunky and fiery, but as soon as you get a hold of him, he's putty in your hands.

Inosuke

He gets a far off look on his face, before snapping back to reality," WHAT WAS THAT?!"

You'd have to explain it properly for it to sink in. And even then, it may take a few times for it to really click. He would have to talk through it, OUT LOUD, even if other people were around.

"So it's not an attack; it's meant to be a good gesture... Friends don't normally do it, but there is a stage ABOVE friends that do all the time... it's disarming, but it's STILL not an attack or a way to parry..." Inosuke would grab you by the shoulders, shaking you.

"TEACH ME MORE!!! IT MAY NOT BE AN ATTACK, BUT IT CAN STILL BE USED IN BATTLE!!! THEY'D NEVER SEE ME COMIN--'"

You explain that the boar mask would have to come off for that to be effective. Then his resilience would deflate, but he'd get the picture. Can't go around kissing demons...

But he DOES do it to you. It becomes a game to him. Almost like rough housing/fighting... Whenever you're in a compromising position, whenever you're doing chores or tasks, even before a big mission: Inosuke always surprises you with a kiss.

Again, one becomes many... and soon enough he deduces that there's a reason you only kiss him... so in return, he'll save his kisses for you.

Rengoku

His large eyes, normally unblinking and brilliant, twitch. He would blink a moment or two, looking up/down to you.

"Ahh! Thank you, friend! That is very sweet!" You would have to explain that you had feelings that stemmed PAST friendship.

"...OH. Ohh, goodness... well-- nothing is more valuable than companionship. I am honored that you've considered me."

He would wrap his arms around you so quickly, spin you around and kiss you deeply.

"Allow me to choose you, too!! I choose... to be with you!!!" Be careful. Similar to Tanjiro, it almost feels like a proposal.

He would usually be his normal self around you, but would go out of his way to kiss you. Especially before big missions or summons. He would make the time to see you and be with you, even if it was a detriment to himself. Whenever he kisses you, he locks you in somehow: by a hug, a two-handed caress of your face, or even by locking his legs around you... (This last part is mostly if he's sitting down)

Like it or not, his kisses are as fiery as his spirit: it's VERY easy to get worked up for the both of you. It's like Lays: you can't have just ONE.

Giyuu

Similar to Rengoku, he would be taken by surprise. You would see his eyebrow move slightly, or his eyes widen a touch. Even with him being super dense emotionally, the dots connect for him instantly.

"O-Ohh..." More than usual, he's basically speechless. But leave it to him to practically sweep you off your feet with a kiss in return. He takes it seriously.

You started it. And now he won't let you go a day without at least a few kisses, heated or tame.

Much like Inosuke, he would go out of his way to find you and kiss you. But unlike some of the others, he won't shy away from doing it in front of others. He doesnt give a FUCK if they see, make fun of you two, etc. A kiss is a kiss, and hes gonna have one with you whether they care or not.

Some think it's on purpose, to show the other Hashira that he has friends AND more. But Giyuu is just REALLY touch starved. And he REALLY likes you.

His kisses are intense, especially before a big trip or mission. It's hard not to get into something more when he comes for you. He practically makes your legs give out, and he has held you the few times they have.

His kisses are dangerous. Be careful with this one. Especially if you aren't alone...

Shinobu

"Hmm? Did you need something--"

When you kiss her, she wordlessly kissing you back, smiling," Ahh~ you're so sweet, Y/N-san!"

At first, she thinks you're just overly friendly or affectionate (similar to Mitsuri). But she starts to get it once it starts to happen more often.

Her kisses are interesting. She kisses you places that are a bit off-kilter. The knuckles on your hands, the tip of your nose, close to a spot where she had to stick/poke you for blood.... she kisses you most everywhere, but hardly ever on your lips.

She's not the type to show PDA: she'll hardly ever do it. But when she does want to kiss you directly, she's making excuses to sneak you away and do it privately. It's a very intimate thing for her, and she doesnt want to feel prying eyes. It's hard for her, especially at the Butterfly Estate, but she warms up to you and PDA after a while.

Her kisses are featherlight. And though few and far between, she makes them count.

Sanemi

"...what're you on about--?"

Oh. Oh shit.

When the kiss ends, the air immediately becomes tense. Heat rises in his face and ears almost instantly, as he takes you by your wrist. If you're not already in a private place, he takes you to one and nearly slams you against a wall.

"...what're you trying to play at here?" Similar to Inosuke and Rengoku, you'd have to explain yourself. While his body language is guarded and on the offensive, the blush betrays him. He's smitten. He's ALWAYS been smitten. But hearing your words and the way you say them really nails in the fact that you aren't joking, and that you're not trying to get him embarrassed or anything. You GENUINELY like him.

Similar to Giyuu, his kisses are dangerous. Which is why they're usually received or given in private. He HAS held you up before because his kisses can get pretty steamy. But he's also given you kisses so sincere and sweet that it makes you relax enough to fall asleep with your head on his shoulder.

He's a man of many words and actions: most of which are aggressive or crass. But he saves the nicest things for you when you're alone.

But be wary: if it's been a while since your last kiss, especially due to missions: just know it's coming. And when it does, it'll be REALLY hard to stop.

He’s not really a bragger but he prefers to stay quiet about you just to be sure because nobody really believes he’s dating anyone until one day he has to run errands and he leaves you at the butterfly estate to make sure your safe and out of harms way. But once he comes back everyone’s shocked and surprised when he grabs you by the hand and leads you away muttering to you about why you were talking to his colleagues. But he felt a since of pride knowing that now everyone know that your his s/o but that leaves the Hashisras with a lot of questions.

Mitsuri

She’s just as eager as Rengoku. She’ll tell everyone about her s/o as how she’s so lucky to have them. One day she had forgotten something so you stopped by the Slayer Corps to drop it off and she was so excited to see you. She had to show you off to all her friends now it was important to her that everyone could see you. She would hold you in her arms guiding you everywhere to show you of to all the Hashira’s.

Giyuu

He’s not a big bragger either but he prefers to show you off in subtle ways like matching jewelry or a cute hair pin you borough him he’ll wear for a bit. But he loves when people ask “Oh Tomioka are you single.” And he’ll say “No I have a wonderful s/o at home waiting for me.” Some people will think it’s a lie until the next day he’ll show up with you right by his side to just say your coming for a visit or that oh your dropping something off. He not a full out bragger but he’ll show you off.

Gold had recently became your favorite color.

Bright, sharp golden eyes with scarlet irises. Colors that harmonized together perfectly, like notes to the beat of a song. Whenever you looked into Kyojuro’s eyes, it felt like you were gazing into the sun itself. But whereas the sun’s rays will harm your pupils if you stare for too long, you can look into your lover’s eyes for as long as you like; and instead of receiving pain you are rewarded.

When you look into his eyes, you are enveloped by warmth.

Warmth, love, and so many things that Kyojuro makes you feel. Either with his touch or words, you will always feel the comforting warmth that radiates off of him. You will always feel loved when you are with Kyojuro.

“Love?” Kyojuro calls out, causing you to jolt; snapping yourself out of your trance. “Were you even listening?” He joked with a chuckle, playfully nudging your arm. His touch sends fireworks through your veins.

You apologize, whilst firing back a nudge of your own to his arm. He chuckles again, an infectious laughter rumbling through him. Kyojuro’s eyes flicker close whenever he laughs, his pretty lashes fluttering. Pretty, pretty, pretty.

Kyojuro is so, so pretty.

“Focus your attention on my words this time,” he says after his fit of laughter ends. “Not my eyes.”

• So it may or may not take him a while to realize his feelings for you. Just be patient with him. Okay?

• At first, before developing romantic feelings for you, I think he’d see you as one of his younger siblings or family members

• After he realizes his romantic feelings for you, he’d easily get flustered and often tongue tied around you or even the mention of you.

• Once he is one hundred percent certain of his romantic feelings for you, a wave of worry washes over him that he might embarrass himself in front of you or do something that will make you uninterested in him.

• It takes him a while to speak to you about his feelings. Depending how intimidating you are but regarding that, he would eventually muster up the courage to tell you his feelings.

• If you accepted and shared his feelings, he would be overjoyed! He would also promise to treat you like Royalty.

• He'd love to cuddle with you, in fact he just loves being around you in general!

• Your looks, personality, and even your scent fill him with a sense of passion and joy towards you.

• you didn't mind it because you knew that you were just friends even if people didn't agree

• but sometimes you wonder if maybe you are more than just friends

• maybe not lovers but maybe not "just friends" either.

• maybe the way he's always all over you isn't something that "just friends" do

• maybe the way he always has his hands on you isn't something that "just a friend" would do

• maybe there's much more going on that you previously failed to realize.

• but then again, maybe he's just like that

• but every time he wraps his arms around your waist, you wonder if maybe there could be something a little bit more.

• "kyojuro?" you look up at him with your head on his shoulder

• "yes, y/n?" he smiles at you

• "have you ever thought...that maybe we aren't just friends?"

• he nods, "quite often, actually. but i never knew how i should've discussed it with you."

• you remove your head from his shoulder, "we're definitely not just friends. so, what are we?"

• "maybe...lovers?" he tilts his head.

• "probably lovers."

• giyu isn't one to really be "best friends" with someone

• so it's safe to say that you were surprised at the fact that he wanted to be friends with you

• giyu also isn't one to initiate physical contact with someone

• so it's also safe to say that you were surprised when he randomly hugged you from behind one day, his chin resting on your shoulder.

• however, it's a normal thing now. you don't mind it.

• until one day, mitsuri brought it up.

• "i'm glad you finally started dating giyu." she said

• you chuckled, "i'm not dating giyu. i promise you, we're nothing more than friends."

• "oh please, you think giyu would go around being all lovey-dovey with anyone? i mean, sometimes he seriously makes me wonder if maybe he's the actual love hashira!"

• you laughed at her joke, "even if we are a little more than friends, what's there that i can do about it?" you shrugged

• "ask him about it!" she exclaimed

• "y'know what, maybe i will."

• that brings you to your current situation.

• "giyu, i have to talk to you about something."

• "feel free." he nods

• "i don't think we should be friends anymore."

• "if that's what you want, i'm fine with it."

• "wait, no, that came out terribly. i mean that i think we should be something...more?"

• he smiles, "your wish is my command, y/n."

s. sanemi

• when you became friends, people automatically assumed you were dating which you couldn't blame them for. it's SANEMI we're talking about right now.

• sanemi being nice to someone? that's a literal miracle babe

• you didn't care at first

• but things got heated.

• and before you knew it, there was definitely something going on

• still, you were a little in denial.

• "y/n," sanemi taps your shoulder.

• "yes?" you look back at him, turning to face him

• "kiss me."

• "kiss me" is a normal thing to hear from sanemi now. but you doubt it's a normal thing to hear from just a friend.

• still, you comply. just a small peck on the lips isn't much, right?

• "another one,"

• shit escalated and now you're pressed up against the wall by sanemi

• "sanemi?" you ask the boy who's working his magic on your neck, leaving bite marks and hickeys.

• "hm?" he looks up at you

• "why do you ask for kisses so often? we're just friends."

• he scoffs, "bunny, you've gotta be delusional if you think we're just friends. i mean, look at us." he smirks

• "you're right, but then, what are we?"

• "does it matter? as long as i've got you and you've got me, we're fine. aren't we?"

• "but i need confirmation." you pout

• "then we'll be whatever you want us to be. i don't mind as long you're fine with it." he shrugs.

• "lovers it is?" you smile.

• "lovers it is." he returns the smile.

i. obanai

• obanai is also not one to easily befriend

• but you've caught him staring at you sometimes so you weren't too surprised when he asked to befriend you

• but you were quite surprised when you realized that he's actually a really good friend

• considering that you were almost always around him, people assumed you must be dating

• you didn't even know people assumed that

• until today, at a little "hashira get-together" that shinobu planned at her estate.

• all of the hashira were present, including your favorite snake boy. "obanai!" you waved from afar

• his attention immediately turns to you, who's approaching him. you sit beside him, making conversation until another hashira joins you too

• it was tengen, and he was mainly conversing with you. few minutes pass and sanemi joins in on your conversation. obanai is still part of the conversation, yet he chooses not to be.

• truth is, obanai always got jealous of the people who you give attention to. it doesn't help that, most of the time, they are obviously hitting on you.

• he glares at the two hashira talking to you, looking like he has murder on his mind.

• "are you and obanai dating?" tengen asks you.

• "no, we're just friends." you laugh.

• "really? because i'm sure he's planning on murdering me and tengen right now." sanemi points to obanai.

• after the get-together, you and obanai were taking a stroll under the pale moonlight.

• "we're just friends, huh?" he crosses his arms.

• "are we not?" you tilt your head

• "i don't know, but i don't think friends touch each other the way we do. friends don't act how we do, and you know that." his voice was laced with frustration and anger.

• "then, what are we?"

• "what do you think?" his voice was more aggressive than you'd expected.

• "lovers...?"

• "obviously." he rolls his eyes before wrapping an arm around your shoulder.

t. muichiro

• he slowly opened up to you during your cloud-watching sessions and that's what got you two so close

• he follows you around like a lost puppy when he's not cloud-watching or on a mission

• "oh look, there's y/n. muichiro must be nearby." was what people thought when they saw you

• that, and the possibility that you and the airhead mist hashira might be dating.

• maybe because he'd always cuddle up with you.

• he lay with his head in your lap and pointed at certain clouds. "y/n, look at that one!" he points. "it reminds me of you."

• you shift your attention to where he was pointing and saw a heart-shaped cloud. you entangle your fingers in his hair, "muichiro..have you ever thought that we don't act like friends?"

• "what do you mean?"

• "like..we act like we're dating even though we aren't."

• i'm gonna be honest, he fr thought you were dating

• "we're not??? 😨"

• he never understood that you actually have to ask a person out so he automatically just assumed you were dating 😭

• "no?? did you think we were dating?"

• "yes..i've been telling everyone that you're my girlfriend!"

• "muichiro!" you face-palm. "how about we actually make things official?"

• he nods, "that would be good."

• "then, from this moment on, we'll be lovers."

• "so i can call you my girlfriend for real?"

• "yes, you can call me your girlfriend for real."

• you didn't know what to expect when you signed up for a friendship with tengen uzui

• but it definitely wasn't dating rumors

• but the rumors became more...understandable? when you really payed attention to his actions

• even before you became friends, this man would subtly flirt with you NON STOP

• "you look very flashy today, y/n!"

• "i literally look the same everyday"

• "you look very flashy everyday, y/n!"

• people are aware that you're not dating him, but they're also aware that THE tengen uzui, god of festivals, wouldn't let just anyone sit on his lap.

• "c'mere," tengen pats his lap

• you leave the chair you were previously sitting on and make your way towards him, not thinking twice before sitting down.

• he hugs your waist, something he hasn't done before.

• "we're just friends, right?" you look at him to confirm

• he shrugs, "prolly not."

• "then what are we?"

• "i decided you to be my fourth wife a long time ago."

he’d probably complete the whole procedure silently, as he’s scared you’d waste your energy talking to him

you saw him carefully unwrapping the bandages and painstakingly wrapping it around your arm as you slightly winced at the pain

‘oh-, y/n, you okay? sorry, I didn’t mean to do that,”

you reassured him with a small nod as he gently continued to wrap the bandage, placing a kiss on it once he was done

“thanks hun,” you smiled weakly at him

“get well soon, darling,” he said before he got up to fetch some water

Iguro

just like giyu, he’d do it with silent treatment though you’d hear kaburamaru’s quiet hisses along the way

throughout the bandaging, he momentarily stopped as it reminded himself of the time where he had to bandage his own mouth to hide his traumatic scars

“darling, you okay?” you asked, worried at the sudden slight widening of his eyes

“oh, its nothing,” he shrugged it off, but you sensed that it had something to do with the bandage on his mouth

while he was calmly wrapping the wound on your leg, you leaned down and placed a heartfelt kiss on his forehead

“you're beautiful just the way you are,” you said as he glanced up at you

his eyes crinkled slightly; you knew that put a smile on his face

Mitsuri

she’d probably tend to your wounds the loudest way possible, constantly asking if you were okay

“oh dear, y/n, this looks terrible,” a pouty frown emerged on her face as she cleansed your wounds with cotton pads. “you okay??”

“im fine, honey, don’t worry too much,” you replied with a smile as you admiringly watched her bandage up the injuries on your knee

“alrighty! i hope this makes you feel better, darling. i put some ointment that kocho offered,” she smiled cheerfully, as she gave you a gentle headpat

“thanks ‘suri, youre the best,” you returned her smile with an even happier one from you

Muichiro

would be quiet too but would occasionally check up on you
