Nova grew up in- not the most ideal- circumstances.

So... I firmly headcanon that she's had alcohol before. Like- AT LEAST ONE Anarchist liked booze whenever they got their hands on it (my money's on Honey) and since none of them are hardly good parents, there wouldn't be much effort to keep it away from Nova as a child.

Anyway, Nova can hold her liquor pretty well and it horrifies Sketch's team. She's used it to her advantage when she's trying to negotiate and get information I'm sure.

Sketch's team by now knows that plenty of the renegades didn't grow up in the best environment but they still don't like it. Also, once they realize she tries to use it to her advantage they sick Danna on her so she doesn't. Mom friend go brrrr

I have a slightly angsty headcannon about Sonic.

I know he's not normally big on touch or physical affection, but based on two scenes, there seems to be an implication that he gets more clingy/keen on touch when he's in pain. 🥲

The first example is in Sonic Frontiers. Tails knows Sonic better than anyone. When Sonic freed Tails from his cyber cage, and Tails saw him on his knees and coughing, what did he IMMEDIATELY try to do?

Run and hug him. 🥹💔

As if there were previous times when Sonic was suffering with one thing or another, and Tails's hugging him helped him feel a little better. 🥹 Of course, Sonic then tried to brush it off and hide it from Tails, but Tails's initial reaction still says something to me.

The second example is in the last episode of Sonic Prime. The set of scenes between the energy extraction and returning home is probably the most vulnerable I've ever seen Sonic act around his friends, and the most he's had to rely on them (which really says something about how bad he must've been feeling 💔). Besides a couple scenes when he was more or less standing on his own, he spent almost the whole time leaning on one of his friends. He was practically clinging to Knux at the start of it.

There were low-key moments like this later on with Thorn holding his hand and Shadow carrying him, but this moment stuck out the most to me in context of this headcannon.

It's ... both sad and sweet. I'm just glad Sonic's friends are there for him when he needs them. 💙

I dont know why, but for some reason I'm stuck with the headcanon of Cinder Fall being one of the few people in existence to unironically love clowns and think they're hilarious. Like, most modern humor and popular media will fly right over her head, but show her a man in big shoes tripping on a banana peel and she'll break into giggle fits.

so intrigued by nell’s powers because when she has billy she can still get hurt, and it doesn’t heal any prior injuries, but in the moment the power seems to dull the pain. it only hits when it wears off. but there’s so much she has to do in the course of the first season, she doesn’t have time to be in pain. i can imagine when she’s back at the pub, after everything that’s happened, finally able to take a moment to herself - that’s when it all hits her

I was looking up history and there was a genius decision behind where the variants ended up.

Humans or (the not quite humans) lived in forests 6-8 million years ago and Humans relied on the rainforests around 14000 years ago. In Boscage Maze, The Variants behave like The Prime Characters first thoughts. (I swear, Tails’s behavior in the Japan manual of Sonic 2 seems sort of like a cross between Mangey and Sails.) Nature and feelings are 2 of Amy’s interests. Gnarly is really suspicious of things.

Piracy dates back to as early as 1340 BC. In No Place, the Counterparts have 2nd part of the Prime Characters that would have developed. Dread has Knuckles’s desire for the emeralds. Sails has Tails’s teamwork. Black has Amy’s love for adventure.

Modern technology filled cities were last to be developed. In New Yoke, the Variants have the last part of the Prime Counterparts minds that would have formed. Rusty is Amy’s ability to control her emotions. Rebel being the least mischievous of the Rouge’s. Nine being the most technical and him and his design shows Tails’s and Sonic’s love for each other. Knucks brutally honest about what he thinks and usually fights for what he believes in.

The only thing I'd add is that I believe Rusty is Amy's loyalty and sincerity. Otherwise, this is great!

Hello!! I’ve been working on these sheets for a couple of days. Here are my interpretation of Ottsels (which are more heavily based on mustelids), I made this more for myself and for a Jak and Daxter DND one shot I’m planning on doing.

Along with the Ottsels I wanted to try figuring out what’s going on with the dark makers as well. They seemed to be like metal heads where they’re a mix of organic and inorganic, and they kept the look for the precursor robots in their design. So I tried making it look more like they were wearing armor.

Spoilers for Supernova ending

Based off of the fact that Thunderbird was the one that brought magpie to headquarters and was the one that found her after events of protologue

[EDIT: I don't remember where I got this information but it's not true! Maggie was found by the apartment landlord]

I am convinced she took her in. [Edit: Headcanon/something I hope happens. Maybe Thunderbird played a part in Magpie's life still idk]

Plus the fact that Maggie took the name Magpie, a bird, they at least have some closeness!

So, imagine if Tamaya Rae sometimes calls her chickadee lkjdfkljdslkj

Also.

I might just make a fic in the future where Nova needs to figure out where she'll be staying post canon, post Magpie sister reveal, and Tamaya eventually offers to stay with her. Reluctantly. Nova and Tamaya don't get along very well in the beginning but warm up to each other.

Bonus: Nova is a little on edge for other reasons but mainly because she's still grieving her old mother figure, Honey. Even though she stabbed her in the back (or rather, hundreds of times)
