Three short romantic poems written in-character.

A poem about friendship and swimming.
From Relius to Irene: Two limericks
Two short poems reflecting on life post-KoA.
These fics were posted in 2022 and 2023. I'm sharing them now because I want my Tumblr to have a nicely organized link to each of my fics. Some I've shared with such inconsistent tags I can't find the links myself, and many I've never blogged about at all!

Relius (young) having a voiceline about Relius (old) is a very Relius (bastard) thing indeed.

With all the excitement about Weird the Tag, I figured I’d do a little self-promo of the fics I’ve already written for the Queen’s Thief fandom that play with form, represent some sort of “first” for my writing, or are just plain silly. Here goes:
Come On, Irene - a parody of “Come On, Eileen” about Irene’s decision to marry Gen
Take Me to Court - my first-ever drabble series, featuring 13 disconnected drabbles set during King of Attolia
she tells me worship in the bedroom - my first-ever E-rated fic, featuring Gen and Irene’s first time
Lay All Your Love on Me - a pop star AU where Gen, Irene, Helen, and Sophos write and perform songs that, IRL, were written by ABBA
Five Times People Thought Irene and Helen Were Dating and One Time Everyone Knew They Weren’t - a (mostly) high school AU featuring Helen & Irene’s friendship
The Unlikely Friendship between the King of Attolia and His Favorite Guard - a fic written in the style of “human interest journalism” about Gen & Costis’s friendship
An Annotated Breakup Duet Featuring Relius and the Magus - a parody of “Burn” from Hamilton, annotated with footnotes
This is about half my currently posted Queen’s Thief fics--the others are less silly and/or weren’t new styles to me. I feel like sometimes Queen’s Thief fics don’t get a lot of attention, so I figured I’d remind people these exist.

Relius from the thief series by megan whalen turner. he gay (as an umbrella term)
The series is a byzantine/ottoman empirish greek setting and almost entirely about a thief and some queens and political maneuverings. relius is def a very side character, but the author acknowledges those of us that love relius like a lot. Hes viciously loyal (except when it comes to sex. Sorry he a slut) but he does an oopsy and learns a hard lesson in empathy. Someone offers him an orange and youll see that person tomorrow
I dressed him more like a roman italian of the time because a. Most of the area at the general time was dressing like romans or ottomans, and the series is about resisting the ottoman-ish-s. Finding references of greek-and-time-specific dress of pre ottoman influence is hard yall.
