Ka hazar kaala jwandon de pa dunya she,

If you live a thousand years in the world

څوک واپس راغلې نه دۍ چې فنا شې

Sok wapas raghali na di che fana she,

No one has come back once they die.

د هغه سره به څوک محبت اوکړۍ

Da hagha sara ba sok muhabat okri,

Who would love that person?

چې اول کوې یارې بیا بے پروا شې

Che awal kavi yari bya beparwa she,

The one who will love you first and then be careless.

ځه چې کله دَ اشنا په سوچ کښي کینم

Za che kala da ashna pa soch ke kenam,

Whenever I sit down with the thoughts of my lover,

پوخه نه شم چې شپه په ما باندې سبا شې

Poha na shm shpa pa ma bande saba she

I don't even notice and the night changes into the next day.

وایم ځه به ورته ډیرې ګیلې اوکړم

Wayam za ba warta dere gele okrham,

I say I would complain about many things

هر څه هیر شۍ چې جانان مې خوا له راشې

Har sa heer she che janan me khwa la rashi.
