Mike took a deep breath, preparing to launch into his story. “Over the past two weeks, five people have gone missing,” he said. “I couldn’t figure it out at first, there was no pattern to the disappearances. All of the victims were from different parts of town, different ages, both men and women, no connection to each other except for the fact that they all lived in Derry. I was starting to think that there was no connection at all, that maybe this wasn’t my kind of thing… until the first three bodies turned up- both of them completely drained of blood.” Mike didn’t have to explain any further. “Vampires,” Richie finished.

i'm baaaaaaaaack! happy new year :) idk when the next part will be yet but it won't be as long of a wait as this one was. i very much lost steam on this one alongside going thru a bunch of life stuff. i made this part because people got confused about why eddie was acting like he didnt think richie liked him. i made this part to remind people why he would act that way, not realizing that people were actually confused because the order of events was unclear. all this phone call stuff with beverly is a flashback, before richie even confessed to eddie. whoops. but yeah in retrospect, i kinda worry when the whole thing cuts together that this would be jarring in a tonal/pacing sort of way, but at least we got to see some of the other losers in some compacity, which i know people had been asking about. (plus my voice actors kicked ass, please check them out, especially Mike's actor, who streams on youtube and on twitch) trigger warning at very bottom

His thoughts were fixed on Richie again. He had always been brave. He had amazed Eddie with it over and over. He was honest too, you always knew what he had to say and what he was thinking. Although Eddie was starting to reconsider that now. He had never known Richie might have feelings for him of any kind, not until he had kissed him that night on the street.

He thought that might have been at least part of why he had panicked. It was a shock to his system completely and it had taken all night for him to even process it. It had been a night much like the hour or two last night, laying and staring at his ceiling as he tried to understand. Richie always had the capacity to be unpredictable but kissing him like that? No, that was something new. It felt like he had met a part of Richie that night and he had slammed the door in his face.

Yet, Eddie couldn’t imagine doing anything different. Different was scary. Different was dirty and wrong, that’s what his mom said. Eddie had worked hard to shove away any and all of those feelings. Richie was making him come face to face with them now and it was terrifying. He wondered if Richie had these fears too. Was he out? Some things he had said and done didn’t seem like it but he seemed so much more confident than Eddie could ever dream of being, especially about this.

The thing was that Eddie had always liked Richie’s attention on him but told himself over and over that he didn’t or that it didn’t mean a damn thing. That night he realized that wasn’t true and it scared him more than words could ever say.

So the premise is that Eddie “dies” in the sewers but he doesn’t really die, he wakes up in the body of a dog and I think he’s adopted by Richie? And it’s not until they are (I think) visiting Stan and they are all together that Bev realises and tries to help him through and then he becomes human again.

Mum sure it was Eddie but it could’ve been Richie who was the dog? But I can’t remember much else but PLEASE if you know this fic, what is it called? I’ve been wanting to reread it for so long!

It's a great angle for Eddie to elbow him in the ribs.

But halfheartedly. He's concentrating on the steaming pot of mashed potatoes on the stove: their contribution to the Third Official Losers Club Friendsgiving Extravaganza.

"Seriously, dude? I haven't even added the fucking chives!" Which Eddie does, with a flourish—one more whip—and only then surrendering a spoonful.

Richie licks it clean. "Yep. Definitely the second best thing I've put in my mouth today."
