Two inconvenient facts:

Mirage’s game length is 20-25 hours only for completionists, so that “massive” game they delayed twice that showed mostly Valhalla mechanics repackaged is closer in narrative length to the shortest Valhalla DLC, Siege of Paris, than it’s longest, Dawn of Ragnarok. It’s basically like two Valhalla arcs at most? 💀

The Last Chapter WILL NEVER make sense in the context of Valhalla. Stop trying to make “fetch” happen in your little AC communities. It doesn’t make sense with the DLCs or without them. People have explained this in way too much detail already for you to deny that.

Opinion: TLC is objectively shit. It was a throwaway five minutes of Mirage marketing. Accept it for what it is and stop being Darby sycophant dorks. And Mirage is going to disappoint you when Basim the assassin you think is Ezio recincarnated becomes the big bad, which you already know from ACV. Had they made it about Hytham, I’d have bought it. You know, the guy who cared deeply about the Creed and was good, and that way the fanboys wouldn’t still get the Loki Isu part fucking up their assassin simulator game.

Short Bio - Lee Yeon, a gumiho (nine tailed fox). used to be a powerful mountain god until his mortal love died. He bargained with the higher powers for her recincarnation in return for his service. 600 years later, he is still waiting for her to be reborn and hunts supernatural criminals who threaten the mortal world. Lee Yeon is a hero type, he is privileged, nice and pines over one woman faithfully. He can sometimes have an almost-bratty attitude and sulk over minor inconviences at times.

History is littered with the tales of the nine-tailed fox, a legendary creature who seduces the innocent in order to satisfy their craving for human flesh. Though there are few in this modern age who believe in the ghost stories of the past. Lee Yeon does no eat people, although he can sometimes come across uncaring or heartless this is a mask to keep himself from getting close to people again.

Series Bio: The titular gumiho (nine-tailed fox). Former mountain spirit and guardian of Baekdudaegan, lover of Ah-eum / Ji-ah and half-brother of Lee Rang. He carries out missions from the Afterlife Immigration Office while searching for the reincarnation of Ah-eum. He encountered several look-alike of Ah-eum but none bore the fox bead. He saved Ji-ah when she was young, but she does not have the fox bead, making Yeon believe that she is not the reincarnation of Ah-eum. Later in the series, it is revealed that Ji-ah is indeed reincarnation of Ah-eum. Her fox bead appeared when Lee Yeon saved her from falling from a building.

New writing trick...

If you make one beloved character about to die, and another character -but less beloved- very wounded, and the second character saves/sacrifices their own life to save the first one...You, as a reader, reach a strange place between grief and relief that makes the bittersweet taste just perfect.

I'm not emotionnaly destroyed, but i'm sad nonetheless, and happy and mourning but at the same time okay??? WHat the heck.

Ganrenboqi's summit had never been climbed, and it had been a place of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage for centuries. This was the first of his many works using salt, an ancient symbol of life, death, regeneration, reincarnation and preservation. One of these works, 'Death Has Been My Dream for a Long Time', emerged from an event that took place on 9 June, 2015, in Bijie, Guizhou, in Qixingguan district's Cizhu Village, where four children were found dead in their home. They had been left alone when their parents went to the city to find work. Numbered among the more than 65 million 'left behind children' in rural China, silent victims of globalisation, in despair they had swallowed agricultural pesticide. Today is a new beginning.' Li Yongzheng said, 'This kind of terrible thing left me unable to hide my emotions, and I had to make an artwork about it.' Bricks of white Himalayan salt are arranged on the ground to spell out in Chinese 死亡，我多年的梦想 ('Death has been my dream for many years'). The video documents a performance in which Li arranged 2000 natural Himalayan salt bricks spelling out the same sentence along a beach in Tanggu, near Tianjin. The incoming tide dissolved the bricks, thus the salt returns to the sea, and the cycle begins anew."

Kimetsu no Yaiba manga review ***SPOILERS***

I finally completed Demon Slayer!!! I shed so many tears. I think I cried to this more than AOT. AOT I cried hella during the last chapter. But this manga, I cried so much. These lovely characters will have a safe place in my heart forever. I said it once and I'll say it again, they deserved better!!!!!

I'm so glad Tanjiro was able to get back from being a demon cause fucking Muzan was a bitch and couldn't just die. I was honestly scared Tanjiro was gonna die, like deadass. I am still very much hurt by the hashiras:/ Since they are disbanded, it was only Sanemi and Giyuu who are left (besides Uzui). Seeing that, hurt cause they all risked their lives.

The last chapter confused me, but I realized some of them are descendants of those who lived and some were reincarnations of those who died. I actually liked that, it gave us closure. When I was reading the panels and each character I saw I would literally want to cry. Especially when I saw Iguro and Kanroji🥺🥺 That one hurt. They did get to reincarnate and become husband and wife🥺😭 omg gonna cry again LMAO. Omg when I saw Genya and Sanemi🥺🥺🥺 fuckkkkk. I was just about to question if Tokito was recincarnated but I just googled it and he was one of the twin babies!!! Made me feel better hehe

My heart aches, I feel kinda empty ending Demon Slayer. Anyway, I am very glad I decided to continue the manga and will probably come back to this manga down the line.

Recincarnation: there is something romantic or horrible about being tied to someone or some idea that you need to keep coming back and relearning yourself.

Caught in the rain : the shock , the running, the huddling together, the wet clothes and hair and then bam what's not to love? Or what a striking image is it so a character being baptized by the rain or it being a sullen reminder of something that has happened like a police officer at a grave their uniform drenched like their soul.

Single target sexuality : what is more terrifying then someone who loves only you and will most likely only ever love you. Like *cough cough*

Obsession tropes in general: the idea of such deep interest and need is something I have never experienced so it is interesting to get into.

Personifications: you have to understand something deeply to be able to Express this and it is interesting.

Forbidden love : the angst , the horror, the omgs.

There are more but these are some of the main ones. @ambrosichor thank you for sending this in 😁
